the Whitley family was driving home from church in their Pontiac Sunfire Landon just a young boy was seated in the back while his parents Julie and Andy were in the front it seemed like a day like any other until disaster struck as they crossed an intersection Julie remembers her husband suddenly shouting but in the chaos his words were lost in an instant everything changed an ambulance speeding through the intersection collided with their car the impact was catastrophic the crash left Landon's parents Gravely injured Andy tragically did not survive and Julie was left to face the

at the scene of the accident and again on the way to the hospital but it was after his final death in the hospital that Landon experienced something truly remarkable at just 8 years old Landon Whitley experienced something extraordinary during those moments when his life hung in the balance he remembers feeling as though he was in heaven each time he passed away he describes seeing golden streets encountering Jesus angels his father and even two relatives he had never met before these Visions left a deep impression on him sparking a curiosity about life death and what lies
Beyond this Wonder stayed with him as he grew older now as an adult Landon looks back on those moments with awe for him the accident wasn't just a tragedy it was a glimpse into a much greater reality it reaffirmed his faith and gave him a sense of peace knowing that there is more to life than meets the eye despite the doctor's best efforts to save him his chances seemed slim they warned Julie Landon's mother that even if he survived his injuries would be severe they told me that if he made it which seemed unlikely he
would remain like an 8-year-old child Julie recalled he wouldn't be able to walk talk or even eat properly due to brain damage but I was willing to accept that he was all I had Julie's love for her son never wavered even in the face of such devastating news she was ready to do whatever it took to keep Landon alive Al even if it meant caring for him in a severely compromised state in those dark moments Julie's determination was unshakable she was prepared to fight for her son no matter what challenges lay ahead for her having

her husband died or why her son survived in such a miraculous way she remains faithful in her belief that love and faith can carry us through even the darkest moments despite suffering a severe head injury and lying unconscious supported by machines Landon woke up 2 weeks after the accident Julie believes it was a result of her prayers to everyone's amazement doctors discovered that he had no brain damage at all as Julie rejoiced in her son's recovery she also faced the heartbreaking task of telling him that his father had passed away his face was covered in
scars his head wrapped in bandages and I didn't want to hurt him anymore she recalled Julie had to balance her relief that Landon had survived without brain damage with the pain of telling him he had lost his father in that difficult moment Julie's love and strength as a mother Shone through with compassion she asked Landon do you know where your dad is Landon responded Yes I know where he is I saw him in heaven but Landon's experiences didn't end there he also told his mother that he had seen other familiar faces in heaven family friends
who had passed away and even siblings he had never met he looked at me and said oh Mom by the way I forgot to tell you I saw your other two kids I was stunned because I had two miscarriages before Landon was born and we never told him about them Julie said I knew they were my siblings even though no one ever told me about them Landon said in heaven you just know you know who everyone is each time Landon face death he experienced something different in heaven during the third time he encountered Jesus and
received a life-changing message Jesus came to me and told me that I have to go back to Earth be a good Christian and tell others about him Landon shared I want people to realize that Jesus is real there is a Heaven There are angels and to follow his word and the Bible life does does get better in the end following that command Landon and his mother began their mission to share their experience bringing hope to those struggling with loss Landon emphasized that he was doing it for Jesus affirming his belief in the reality of Jesus
heaven and angels having seen Jesus he knew his mission was clear and he was dedicated to fulfilling it looking back on their Journey Journey Julie reflected on how her understanding of Faith had grown while she once wondered why God hadn't sent an angel to protect them she now believes Angels were there all along guiding them through God's plan rather than being trapped in grief or anger Julie uses their story to help others stay rooted in faith even in times of loss it's a huge blessing that I get to watch my child tell others about Jesus
she said he's always ready to remind people that heaven is real because he's been there though Landon survived with extensive injuries he now has 23 metal plates in his head a nose reconstructed from part of his skull and has lost Vision in one eye he lives a mostly normal life today his survival is nothing short of miraculous Landon's story is a testament to the resilience of the human Spirit despite the tragedies he's endured and the physical challenges he faces he continues to live life to the fullest his journey is one of Courage strength and the
