things out but the Bible teaches something different Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways submit to him and he will make your path straight God is saying let me help don't try to do this on your own trust me but how often do we push God away thinking I've got this when really we don't imagine a father teaching his child to ride a bike the child is determined to ride without help convinced they can do it alone but each time
they try they fall finally the father gently says let me guide you at first the child resists but eventually agrees with the father's Steady Hand on the bike the child rides smoothly and begins to enjoy the experience this is how God interacts with us we are that child often wanting to navigate life on our own thinking we can handle it until we fall then God steps in not to control us but to guide us to give us the support we need Isaiah 41:10 reminds us so do not fear for I am with you do not
be dismayed for I am your God I will strengthen you and help you I will uphold you with my righteous right hand now how does this play out in our lives today first we must learn to ask for God's help James der4 2 tells us you do not have because you do not ask God it's that simple sometimes we don't experience God's help because we haven't invited him into our situation think about an area in your life where you need God's help maybe it's a financial burden a strained relationship or a decision you're unsure about
