no matter how much we aim to progress we will often be met with failure but this is not due to a lack of Desire rather a lack of self within our actions I feel like if we have a desire that's true in our heart and mind then to some degree we must also embody that desire with our actions nothing changes if nothing changes we risk losing our own passions and our inability to tend towards our desire you know it's it's very easy to get caught up in in everyday life and um get caught up in
this idea that you know you're going to change regardless or the time will come or this will come when it's time or you know anything having to do with you setting aside uh a mental image of a better future without your you taking action now you know it's easy to put a lot of responsibility onto our future selves and it's easy to you know give our future self a lot more credit than our present like setting up a dichotomy and making us feel like internally that you know who we are going to be in maybe
a week from now is going to be a lot more suited to deal with today's problems but I feel like the truth of that is is that you're going to be no better suited in that week than you are now I mean maybe to some degree maybe you need a little bit more evidence but those things that you know continue to press on it's about instantiating what you want to do with that in and now rather than uh pushing it to the future we do that a lot with procrastination as well and that's why I
kind of I kind of tell myself not to procrastinate but I do it all the time like for example you know right now I'm doing it's it's 3:00 a.m. I'm doing I don't want to say 3: a.m. because that's unrealistic say it's 800 PM I'm doing homework and I'm like man I really just wna chill I don't even want to do homework right now so I'm like okay tomorrow I'll do it tomorrow I know I'll be locked in and then tomorrow is going to feel the same it's going to feel the exact same nothing changes
if nothing changes here and that's just in one of the most minute ways what I mean by like nothing changes means nothing changes nothing changes if nothing changes let me make sure I get that up right um what I mean by that is a lot of us don't tend to towards you know our actual desire we're not taking the appropriate steps and it's not necessarily even that it's the way that we are I feel like in a journey of like self-development self-help and uh becoming a better person in general a lot of us posit a
lot of uh faith in our future and that's great but it's about positing faith in yourself now it's not about always looking towards future cuz in reality like if from comp to man The I see there is no future who you are going to be then is going to be another present it's not like you're going to feel any different just cuz you're you know time is is different relative you look back in the past and be like dang I should have worked then or dang I should have done this then dang I should have
pursued this then it's about now it's about you know figuring out what you need to do taking those steps making those changes now you know it's easy to lie dormant within our own desires it's easy Al dormant within oursel and you know you need to start doing something or else you know you're going to gain nothing you invest nothing you get nothing out you s exactly what you reap here so we have to continue pressing forward you have to continue realizing that you know it's not just about your your individual mindset it's about how you're
cultivating your ego how you're cultiv cating your uh yourself you know understanding yourself enough to distinguish the dichotomy between what's actually your expression and what's like a reaction to yours you feel me like a lot a lot of us react to the world around us and that's not a bad thing reaction is is a great thing reaction I feel like is external in an external sense is all we are but it's about controlling that reaction it's about controlling that reaction it tend towards what you want you know if you want peace maybe yelling ain't ain't
the best thing you know maybe you're not contributing to exactly what you want it's about you know being aware of what you're putting out there and energetically um you know holistically how you're impacting those around you and how that impacts where you want to be not to say that you know what we do isn't enough but I think our definition is plagued with The Spoils of the modern day the main thing I feel like strips us of our ambition sometimes is our devices not necessarily our phones in general but the things that keep us from
the moment you know cuz I feel like the moments all you have to make change so those things like your phone you know you're texting it's not even texting for me it's Tik Tok I find inspiration on Tik Tok sometimes but sometimes I just on it for good hour two a day maybe more and I feel like a lot of people have that issue it's not saying Tik Tok is a bad thing it's saying you know we ought to lose a lot of ourselves and our inability to be alone with ourselves and I feel like
a lot of people don't like being alone and it's not because they're lonely it's not because of that it's cuz you know they're not afraid of solitude they're afraid of who they are in solitude who they are without their distractions their Comforts and you know maybe people that distract them I feel like comfort with yourself and comfort with your own idea and and and positing about yourself makes life all the more easy you know if you if you mess with who you are you mess with who you're becoming then you know it's like you can
never be alone really you always have someone there with you I feel like that's another thing too you're always going to have someone with you and it's you you got to treat yourself like your own best friend sometimes and I feel like that's a change a lot of us need to make you know feel like a lot of us uh are victims to our own sometimes desires negative ones and it's not about you know how the situation makes you feel it's about what led you to it how you got there and uh what you're going
to do to uh help yourself out whether or not that thing is truly beneficial to you you know making a distinction between should I be doing this or oh yeah this is for me I feel like this resonates with who I am not to say put yourself in the box but be intentional with how you wish to express yourself and what you want to do I feel like that's a key to to developing that's a key to uh happy life in a way doing what what seems true to you all within reason you know don't
commit Arsenal or nothing like that but understand that you know you have a lot within you you have uh ample time to change and I feel like this year is all about intention you know making sure what you're doing is tending towards what you want making sure how you develop what you do for yourself benefits you don't I'm not saying be selfish I'm saying take care of yourself you know take steps to make yourself better make yourself feel better take care of yourself a lot of us try to take care of others take care of
yourself too ask yourself the questions am I okay am I doing good sometimes the answer is no I feel like most of the times our answers is no we always got something loin in our hearts cuz the human mind finds problems and everything so that might be the issue start meditating start doing something to help yourself get that stuff out you know you could talk to people make sure you're the one make sure people are listening you talk too know it's easy to listen to people all the time and bring it in make sure you
get the opportunity to talk to you know develop understand how you relate to them and how you relate to to a greater Society like I feel like recently I've been able to appreciate uh my relationships with other people a lot more just because of like I can feel a difference I I I've been practicing you know being in the present practicing being intentional as well intentional in my time with people like yesterday for example my friend came over to my house um and I I already had a plan you know just to chill by myself
cuz I enjoy doing that but you know this is a friend I feel like I could just be alone with I can he got to be do nothing so he came over nope no like we're just chilling you know I'm doing my own thing he's doing his own thing listening to music Vibe and talking dreams and aspirations that's what I did New Year's too that's all I did invite people over talk about you know what we want to do with our Liv have those important conversations so and then like afterwards you know he asked me
if I wanted to go drive somewhere else you know maybe like 30 30 minutes go 2 hour Excursion but like deep in my heart I know I didn't care like I I didn't care I was like At first I was like you know put away I was like I don't really want to do that like I I have my own plan but you know when stuff comes like that I feel like you got to be intentional sometimes you got to allow that spons today I didn't have anything to do I just wanted to be you
know chilling about myself but I was like let me go chill with my guys let me go experience a little bit of life let me go see what I can get from them I feel like everybody has inner wisdoms and stuff like that I got like 15 songs from them 15 great songs that I would have never heard if I didn't go that I would never heard if I wasn't being present with myself enough to to go into that unknown that's what it's about being being able to go into the unknown being able to take
steps where you don't necessarily know the outcome living for experience living to experience life rather than trying to build a life to experience talk to me I'm just playing um but like regards to our phones I'll look back to our phones you know just imagine how much further we would be if we weren't spending a surplus of our hours in our devices you know those with like somewhat creative aspirations will in a way be more suited to work as I realize being in the present allows you to be truly yourself and truly one with your
passion so at some level we must make sure we're taking steps to uh to further ourselves it's too easy to lie dormant in life and not do anything but I feel like it's much more rewarding to intentionally move forward to intentionally get to the next step to intentionally put yourself out there um this is my first video of the new year if you're watching I appreciate you um thanks for sticking me with me if you've been here for a while if you're new to the channel make sure you subscribe I do stuff like this I
