the biggest lie in mental health is that you can achieve a perfectly Balanced Life you might think if only I could meditate better talk to my boss more assertively or take that perfect vacation things will become balanced sorry that's not how Mental Health Works some area of your life is always going to be demanding more than others and that's okay mental health isn't like physical health sure our bodies are always trying to keep things stable by regulating our temperature fighting off infections undoing the effects of drugs but our minds are built differently they're not looking
for balance they're looking for connection connection to what you feel and what you see connection to the people around you connection to values that help you make choices about what to do you're never going to achieve a life that's in Perfect Balance but you can stay connected to the things that matter
