by the end of this video you're going to know exactly how the YouTube algorithm works right now today in 2024 because the type of content you need to be creating has recently changed how frequently you should be uploading has recently changed and a handful of other things that I need to make sure that you're aware of because if you're posting too frequently on YouTube right now it could be the reason you're not getting the views that you want in fact this crat right here just made the changes I'm going to share with you in this

videos and if you want to get views simply make videos on these same exact topics but change things up a little bit for example this one right here 16 upload mistakes that ruin your YouTube videos you could make 18 upload mistakes if this was your Niche or 20 or 21 or you could do less than that but essentially you want to just be remixing these videos and you're going to have 15 different videos in here so those are 15 different video ideas that you can Implement today in order to get more reach but that's not

if you're uploading shorts here's what you need to be focused on if your video is 0 to 15 seconds long and by the way I wouldn't recommend that you create a video that is less than 8 seconds long you're going to need at least 100% average view duration percentage if your video is 16 to 30 seconds long it's going to be 90% if your video is 30 plus seconds long needs to be 80% or higher now remember that is just for uploading shorts when when it comes to long form content this is going to be
completely different and there is a huge range here so if you're uploading long form content that's under 3 minutes long needs to be 80% 6 minutes 71% 10 minutes 60% 15minute video 55% and for a 30 plus minute video it's going to be 50% now remember those are the metrics that you should be aiming for are you going to hit that every single time no but that should be your North Star because if you able to hit that is going to Skyrocket your reach so long as you get these next two changes right and that
is that you need to be hyperfocused on how many people are actually interested in whatever you're going to be posting about earlier I shared with you two different tools that you could use for free on YouTube in order to determine what kind of content you should be creating but what you also need to be doing is you need to make sure that you're doing a search for those pieces of content and being able to determine what the amount of views that you could potentially get is going to be let me show you an example so
let's say that we came into the inspiration tab we saw this right here how to get subscribers on YouTube fast in 2020 for so what I'm going to do is I'm going to click on this and then what this is going to show me is it's going to show me content around this that other people are watching and if I click show all right here come over to videos this is going to show me how many views they've gotten so we're looking at 2,000 views in 3 months not that many 30,000 views in 8 months
300,000 views almost in 6 months 400,000 views 8 months 1 year 1.6 million views and if we keep scrolling down we can see the most viewed videos here so the most viewed videos under here is going to be 2.4 million views views but as you can see there's a pretty big variety of the amount of views that you could get so what you want to do is backtrack that so essentially we're looking at a 1month period how many views could I potentially get a year-long period how many views could I potentially get and you need
to compare this to the other different video ideas that are out there and also you can do the same thing with shorts if we come under shorts 11 million views 1.4 15.4 and this is going to show you a bunch of different ones like this one 49 million views so as you could see for this exact topic shorts could potentially get you way more views but again you need to go through and actually compare these like this one right here is how to get subscribers on YouTube fast You' write down how many views you could
potentially get and then come under here how to gain subscribers on YouTube fast now again this is going to be a little bit different and you need to compare the videos that show up under here to the videos that showed up under the other one cuz it may be that you want to post how to gain subscribers on YouTube fastest versus how to get subscribers on YouTube fast because literally that one word difference could be the difference between you getting 2 million views or 100,000 views and you get the gist you need to do the
same exact thing for your Niche so you can actually determine what the best video for you to create is because just creating a really good video isn't the number one thing you need to do the number one thing that you need to do is actually determine how you should be framing that video because that is going to drastically adjust how many people actually end up seeing that piece of content based off of how many people YouTube thans are online that actually care about the topic that you're going to be posting about and the smaller number
of people smaller number of views you're going to get so if there's only 24 hours in a day and you can only make one video a day or one video a week or one video every 3 days then what do you think you should be doing choosing the best possible idea that you can go after creating the best video for it and then boom you're going to get a lot of reach so long as you're not posting too much because how frequently you're posting is going to have a huge effect on how many views you
could potentially get for example let's say that there were only a million people actually interested in whatever you're going to be posting about if you posted one video on on it you could potentially get a million views on that video but if you posted five videos on it doesn't mean you're going to get a million views five times more likely than not you'll actually cap out at around 200,000 views per video or you might find that one video gets a lot of the views and the other four videos don't actually do that well so this
begs the question of how frequently you should actually be posting on YouTube and that is going to be completely determined by how big the potential audiences that you're going after and how frequently your competitors are posting if you find that your competitors only post once a week it's probably a good idea for you to only post once a week but if you find that they're posting every single day for example you upload newsworthy content well then guess what you need to be posting once a day also because here's the deal if you're not YouTube is
