have you ever wondered how to get your website unstocked from the bottom of page one or Worse the bottom of page two and launch it to the top of Google so you can get more clicks more leads more customers and more sales well what if I told you there was a simple five-step system to Skyrocket your search engine rankings without advanced SEO skills fancy tools or months of waiting around and I know it works because I've been using this exact system for over a decade now to rank thousands of pages at the top of the
search engine and have transformed what started as a small web design and SEO agency into a million-dollar business creating marketing campaigns for some of the biggest companies in the world like Google and meta Amazon Snapchat Logitech Adobe and thousands more so today I'm going to show you how to take a blog post from a stagnant position at the bottom of Google and catapult it to the top all within 24 hours and I'm going to be doing all of this using only basic SEO tactics and tools that anyone even brand new beginners can apply so with
that said let's dive in starting with step one which which is to play a little website CSI and figure out what's going on in the first place and why this page is stuck so far down the search engine rankings the keyword in paging question that I'm going to try to rank is this one here titled the death of mass marketing currently found at the very bottom of page one on Google the YouTube video I made 6 years ago is ranking just above it as well but our Focus here today is on that blog post so
now that we know where we stand which is at the bottom the next thing we've got to do let's figure out why and when it comes to SEO the issue usually comes down to either content or backlinks or sometimes a combination of them both the content is what tells Google what the page is all about and all else being equal more usually does mean better backlinks on the other hand are like votes for how good a page is more backlinks mean that more people are pointing to that page saying something like I think this is
good enough to link to it but unlike in a regular voting scenario where one person equals one vote in SEO not all back links are created equal some websites are simply more powerful have more Authority and therefore their vote means a lot more and is going to deliver a much bigger boost now I can tell you from experience that the reason this post is currently ranking so low is a combination of having very little useful content and no backlinks but we're going to make sure to back up that theory with actual evidence so it's at
this point that we are going to want to use an SEO tool to help us do a little bit of digging into our website our keywords and our competitors in order to figure out what's going on and how we can fix it the good news here is that there are a ton of options available including HFS and semrush and M and Majestic and search Atlas many of which include free plans or free trials I'm going to use search outlist for this and start by taking a look at how our ranking compares to other competitors on
the page and this is an important point to highlight here as SEO is very much a zero sum game with winners and losers after all there are only so many places available on the first page and when your rankings increase it means someone else's have to decrease but that's kind of what keeps it fun and exciting and business is competitive after all so here we go the first thing I want to do is make a list of competitor websites that are currently ranking above me I can see box UK autograph and viso get in the
loop there's one from Forbes which is going to be tricky to beat and the same goes for LinkedIn mtech and Wikipedia which are all massive sites with a ton of authority but I'm not giving up yet as even a small boost in rankings can lead to an exponential surge of new clicks new leads and new traffic and it's always worth fighting for a spot at the top especially considering just how profitable a top ranking spot can be in fact the move from position number two to position number one can mean an increase in clicks of
20% or more anyway I can see that box UK is showing six backlinks to that page mograph is showing 41 backlinks adviso is showing 14 back links and that Trend just keeps continuing which to be honest is kind of making me reconsider trying to rank for this term at all as the competitors listed above all have some pretty heavy signals working in their favor my page on the other hand has zero backlinks but I'm no quitter so now that we know what we're working against it's time to come up with a plan to claim one
of those top spots by taking a look at what our competitors are doing and then trying to do it well better so here's the plan then we already know that our competitors have us beat on backlinks and after a quick scan through their sites I can see that they also have us beat on content wellplayed competitors well played now for backlinks I could and probably should roll out a backlink building campaign a simple kind of timec consuming process where I find out what backlinks my competitors have using SEO software and then reach out to those
websites to see if I can get my website linked to as well or instead of offering up my website as a more comprehensive and more valuable resource now of course to offer up my website as a better and more valuable resource we're definitely going to need to beef up the content a bit but more on that in just a second because unfortunately backlink building campaigns take time and we're on a tight timeline here so I may need to hold off on that approach that said one thing I can do is add a link to this
post from my website's homepage which is typically the page with the most Authority on a website and I can link to it using something called longtail anchor text you see when you create a link you have the option to name it now one option is to just leave it as it is the usual https www.com that kind of thing we call this a naked link as it's not hiding the URL the other option though is that longtail anchor tax I just mentioned where we replace the link with the keyword or term that we're trying to
rank for in other words replacing the https www kind of thing with a link that says the death of mass marketing what this does is send an additional signal to Google what the link and therefore the page is about which adds a very useful ranking signal you do want to be careful with this though as too many links like this can send some pretty heavy spam signals to the search engines which means doing more harm than good this is why it's pretty much always a good idea to have a divers looking backlink profile with some
naked links some longtail links and some branded links which are links using your brand name or your business name as the link text so that's the backlink part but after taking a look over this page a few more times I think the real room for improvement here is in the actual content of the page I mean I wrote this six years ago and while it's fine enough I guess and it does kind of get the message across I know that we can do a whole lot better especially when we compare it to our competitors I
mean if we're even just talking about word count alone well box UK's page is around 600 words autograph has about 1,300 words and adviso has around 12200 words but it's also loaded with infographics and all kinds of fancy stuff which means for us to compete I'm probably looking at creating what I like to refer to as an epic blog post epic blog post who said that an epic blog post is somewhere around 2,000 to 3,000 words and is designed to provide as much value as as humanly possible should also be interactive with videos and images
and graphics and all the things now usually I prefer to write every single word myself but because time is not on our side we're going to Outsource this to Ai and let chat GPT completely overhaul the entire thing and here's how we're going to do that first we're going to copy and paste all the content directly into chat GPT next we're going to feed it this prompt hello chat GPT Adam here again you don't really need to add that part but I like being polite what you're looking at here is a blog post that is
doing an absolutely terrible job of ranking for the keyword search term the death of mass marketing I would love if you could please help me come up with a strategy and the corresponding content for this post to Rocket it to the top of the search engines if you can think of any other terms or synonyms in other words latent semantic indexing that should also be included please make sure to include those as well also be warned we need this blog post to be epic I'm thinking somewhere around 3,000 words and I'd love some images or
infographics to help with it along the way okay go and then we let chat GPT work its magic all right I got to be honest it's pretty good so now all I'm going to do is start copying and pasting and maybe asking chat GPT to go into a little more detail where I feel there's a section or two that could use a little more beefing up what's extra cool at least to a marketing geek like me is that chat GPT even came up with a pretty goodlooking title and meta description that I can just copy
and paste over as well so now that we've got a decent amount of text here currently the article is clocking in at around 3,000 words The Next Step then is to add some outbound links which is where you simply link out to another piece of relevant content which again provides a very useful signal to Google about what this page is all about now obviously I don't want to link out to any competitor websites or Pages as that's only going to give them even more SEO power but I can still find other valuable resources like this
website from masterclass on mass marketing this website from Sprout social on Niche marketing and say this incredibly boring but still relevant website from the Wix encyclopedia on mass marketing as well I'll add a few more internal links that link to other pages on my website and of course I'll also make sure to link to this post from my website's homepage okay with that done let's move on to jazzing this up a bit with some graphics and images and videos now unfortunately chat GPT wasn't much help when I asked it to make me some graphics for
the post as usual the image came out okay on first glance but very quickly you can see the limitations of the AI when it comes to text so we're not going to use it so so I think I'm just going to grab a few royalty-free stock graphics and maybe a meme and then see how I can work them into the content without making it look too forced and of course I'm going to make sure that the YouTube video that I had originally embedded stays right there near the top as well that said I'm probably going
to replace the thumbnail of the YouTube video so it just fits in better overall with the post okay it's looking good which means I think that we're finally ready to let Google know what we've done here so that they can come back and take another look and decide whether or not our Pages worthy of a rankings boost so there are a few different ways to let Google know that you've made some updates and would like for them to come and take another look at your website the first is understanding that Google is going to crawl
your website at some point whether you want it to or not so patience can work but who's got time for that another way is to submit a sitemap to Google not overly complicated to do but we're not going to do that either is there's still a better and faster way which is to use something called URL inspection which is inside of the Google Google search console both URL inspection and the Google search console are free to use and all you need to do is enter your URL and then click request indexing and Google will run
out there take a look at your page and if all works well you'll see this popup show up letting you know that it's been added to the list for indexing so with that done well now we wait so uh come back tomorrow morning 24 hours later okay so it's now been 24 hours 21 and a half hours actually but the time has come to check our rankings and see whether this worked or not first things first it's important to understand that search engine rankings vary based on location and previous Behavior which is why when I'm
checking my results I use a private or Incognito browser and if I'm feeling extra cautious I'll even turn on a VPN that lets me control what location the search engine thinks I'm in I'm going to use Vancouver Canada here for the first check all right well good news the plan worked and we've moved the page from the bottom to the number one spot on the first page of Google a win for sure but we're not done yet like I said a second ago checking our ranking using a single location is just one part of the
test which is why at this point I usually head back into the VPN and choose another location far far away this time we'll go somewhere in the middle of Europe uh how about Austria and then we'll search again all right good news again we've got the number one top spot there as well and the best part of all of this is that you can do do this as often as you like with as many pages and keywords and top page rankings as you could imagine taking a business from invisible to the top of the search
engines in 24 hours or less if you want to dive a bit deeper and start ranking your own websites and Pages I'll make sure to put a link to a free SEO guide down in the descriptions below this video so you can download and start ranking number one today that said SEO is just one of the many marketing strategies available to you which is why I've also linked up a video right here that's going to give you 10 of my very best marketing tactics that you can use right now so feel free to tap or
