have you ever found yourself wondering is God trying to tell me something maybe you're seeking Direction wrestling with a big decision or just hoping for reassurance that you're on the right path what if I told you that God is sending you signs every day but you may be missing them the truth is God wants to communicate with you yes you the creator of the universe wants to guide encourage and speak to your heart in ways that are personal and real but sometimes we Overlook the signs he's sending so today I want to talk about how
we can learn to recognize the signs God places in our lives throughout the Bible God used signs to communicate with his people think about Moses and the burning bush Gideon with the fleece in each of these stories God didn't leave his people in confusion he gave them clear personal signs to guide them but here's something important God's signs don't always come in miraculous over-the-top ways while he certainly can speak through Miracles more often than not God sends his signs in everyday moments through people circumstances scripture or even a deep sense of peace in your heart
let me share a story there was a young woman named Sarah who had been praying for direction about her career she felt stuck in a job that didn't bring her joy and she was begging God for for a sign weeks went by and she started to feel discouraged why isn't God answering me she thought then one morning during her Bible study a verse from Proverbs seemed to leap off the page trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways submit to him and he will make
your paths straight that verse spoke directly to her situation telling her to stop worrying and Trust God's plan a few days later she had a conversation with a co-worker who encouraged her to apply for a different position at first Sarah hesitated but she remembered that verse from Proverbs it felt like God was nudging her forward showing her a new Direction she applied for the job took a leap of faith and ended up getting the position that was the sign she'd been praying for but it came through scripture and a conversation not a miraculous event so
how does God send us signs to today let's talk about that first God speaks through scripture the Bible is one of the clearest ways God communicates with us in Psalm 19 it says your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path when you're looking for a sign turn to God's word often he will highlight a verse or passage that applies directly to what you're going through next God uses people he often sends messages through others whether it's a friend family member or even a stranger Proverbs 11 reminds us that there's
wisdom in the Council of others sometimes what someone says in passing could be the very confirmation you've been waiting for third pay attention to not circumstances sometimes it's as if doors start opening or closing in ways that are more than just coincidence God can use events in your life to point you in the right direction Revelation 3 says see I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut when opportunities or challenges come your way they might be God's way of leading you lastly God sends signs through inner peace qu or on
conviction Philippians 4 talks about a peace that transcends all understanding if you feel a strong unshakable peace or a deep conviction in your heart that might be God's way of confirming his will in your life you might be thinking but how can I know for sure that it's God the key is relationship Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me the more time you spend in prayer reading the Bible and listening to the Holy Spirit the more you'll recognize God's voice and the signs he places before you so
if you're praying for direction today take a step back ask God to open your eyes to the signs he's already placed in your your life maybe he's been speaking through that Bible verse that's been on your mind or maybe that conversation you had with a friend wasn't just a coincidence trust that he is guiding you even if you don't yet see the full picture we live in such a fast-paced world that it's easy to miss what God is doing around us but if we slow down open our hearts and truly seek his voice we'll find
that God is sending us signs more often than we realize don't overlook the small things God's Whispers In Your Heart The Quiet Moments in prayer or the encouragement from someone in your life these could be the very signs you've been asking for remember God wants to communicate with you he loves you and his plans for you are good Jeremiah 29:11 says for I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord plans for welfare and not for evil to give you a future and a hope when you seek him with all your heart he
will reveal the next step in his perfect timing so here's my challenge for you this week spend time in prayer and ask God to reveal any signs he's already sent your way pay attention to scripture to conversations and to that quiet voice within you and don't be afraid to step out in faith trusting that he is guiding you even if the path isn't clear yet if you've been waiting for a sign from God know that he's already speaking the question is are you listen listening let's take a moment to pray together Heavenly Father we thank
