in a small village in the Ottoman Empire during the late 1500s there lived an 18 years young man named Suleman at the age of 18 sulan had trained under the tutelage of great Scholars and warriors as he aspired to join the ranks of the Ottoman Cavalry his lineage boasted of powerful warriors but for sulan it wasn't his strength or physical ability that held him back it was his mind despite being exceptionally strong and capable his mind was constantly clouded by doubts and over analysis during training sessions he would second guess every decision his thoughts would
flood his mind what if I M up what if I bring shame to my family what if my future is doomed these incessant thoughts weighed heavily on him preventing him from moving with the grace and precision of his fellow soldiers his mind was like a tangled web of worries about the past and the future this habit of overthinking wasn't something new his mother had passed away when he was only a child and since then his father Yousef had taken on the burden of raising him Yousef often worried about the future pacing at night and muttering
prayers you must always be prepared for the worst suan he would say always anticipate every possible disaster these words meant to protect suan instead instilled a con instant anxiety in him during one particularly grueling day of training sulon lost control of his emotions he had been arguing with his father the night before and the conversation lingered in his mind his heart burned with frustration and during a sparring session sulaman Unleashed his anger on his opponent forgetting all discipline the instructors pulled him away furious at his Outburst sulaman control your mind one of the instructor scolded
a true warrior is not just skilled with the sword but has mastered his own heart before sulan could respond an elder stepped forward he was shik Abdul Rahman a revered scholar in the village who had spent years teaching Quran and guiding people in the ways of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him let him come with me the Shake said softly I see his struggle but his solution lies not in his strength but in his trust in Allah the next morning Suliman met the shik at a quiet stream near the village shik Abdul Raman handed
him a bowl and asked fill this with water and bring it to me sulan obeyed filling the bowl and returning to the shake now the shake said what can you learn from this water about your thoughts Suliman looked confused I'm not sure Shake it's just water it fills the bowl but when it's outside of the stream it's no longer part of the flow shikh Abdul Rahman smiled indeed and like this water your thoughts when they leave the natural flow of trust in Allah become trapped you are trying to control your fate but you forget that
Allah is the one who controls all Affairs just as the water trusts the flow of the stream you must trust the guidance of Allah you overthink because you believe that through your worry you can alter Destiny but you must place your trust in Allah for he alone knows what is best for you the shikh continued Allah says in the Quran and whoever relies upon Allah he will suffice him 653 this means that no amount of your own planning or worrying can change what is already written saber patience and tawak Trust in Allah are the keys
to overcoming your overthinking every hardship is a test and your overthinking stems from Fear of the future which only Allah controls for the next few weeks sulan followed shik Abdul rahman's advice every morning he would sit by the stream and meditate on the names of Allah focusing on arzak the provider and Al Kadir the all powerful as he breathed in he reminded himself that Allah is in control and as he exhaled he let go of his worries about the future slowly he learned to release his grip on his thoughts and Trust in Allah's wisdom As
Time passed Suliman found peace not in knowing every answer but in trusting that whatever happened was part of Allah's plan his training improved not because he became stronger but because his mind was no longer cluttered with doubt his heart found Tranquility in the remembrance of oliker and he began to feel lighter more present and more connected to the world around him one day suan was put to the test in a battle simulation in the past he would have overthought every move but this time he placed his trust in Allah he let his actions flow naturally
and for the first time he was Victorious not just in battle but over the storm that once raged in his mind as he stood in the aftermath the words of Sheikh Abdul Rahman echoed in his heart when you let go of trying to control everything then place your trust in Allah that is when you are truly free thank you for watching this story about overcoming overthinking through faith and trust in Allah if you found this video inspiring make sure to subscribe to Ina for more Islamic Reflections and Powerful life lessons share this video with someone
