The lore of Punishing: Gray Raven Chapter 2- Journey of Torture

hello and welcome back to the lore of punishing Gray Raven today we will be getting into the second chapter of the main story journey of torture previously in chapter 1 we left off with our introduction to Gray Raven where we led the team to their mission in City 015 where we encountered powerful new enemies like Alpha the infected construct was able to retain her Consciousness along with machines who have awakened to their own Wills through the message of sage Machina after clearing the city of threats we hunt down and destroy the big bad of the

chapter a sage worshiping mechanoid named nozzle afterwards we are called up to Babylonia by President Hassan to discuss the details of what we learned from nozzle's memory vials picking up where we left off Gray Raven is sent back down to earth to hunt down a powerful corrupted called Iron Maiden that was discovered through NASA's memory as well as searching for more information on the ascendants so look at contacts us and breaches the squad on our current mission objectives we need to work with other Babylonia teams to set up ISO devices tools that can create a

sort of barrier field used to defend against the corrupted us along with other squads must work together to create a ring of these ISO devices around City 015 to limit the area Iron Maiden can operate in and prevent her possible Escape faced with this challenge Babylonia enlists the aid of a construct named nanami who works with Babylonia despite not being officially part of a team we opened the iso device containers to find some of them were sealed upon delivery we are attacked by corrupted and must defend the area with nanami's help while Lee releases the

sealed units after we clear out the corrupted and fix the units not only leaves to explore the graffiti in the area with Lee voicing his doubts Anonymous credibility as an ally due to her unknown Origins but we know the truth nanami is nanami and that's all that matters me Gray Raven moves further into the mission area to deploy more ISO units when Lyft picks up a signal originating deep inside of a heavily infected area Lyft tells us the signal is registered to Tifa a support type construct from suzaku Squad all of whom have been reported

as Kia or missing a few days prior the same time when Babylonia began taking heavy casualties in the city we think about reaching out and connecting but Lucia convinces us not to and reminds us the last time we investigated a strange signal it was a trap Lee assures us that the virus cannot affect humans on a cognitive level meaning us the commandant cannot be affected with the punishing virus through our connection with an infected construct we start to come in contact with the virus directly or at least that's how I choose to interpret what he

says they have a voices her opinion and tells us the signal originates from near our projected path and we could easily investigate more properly when we get closer we continue on our way setting up the iso units along the planned route when we are contacted by Vera leader of cerber squad she tells us that Tifa one of the missing constructs is is our Target the Iron Maiden a conclusion that Lee seems to have already made himself not seeming to get the meaning of her words Vera tells Lee and by extension all of gray ribbon that

Cerberus intends to combat Tifa alone without assistance from the other squads something Celica specifically warned us not to do if they are promptly hanging up on us before we can voice our concerns Lucia asked Lee who that was since he seems to be the most familiar and he explains that Vera is a member of corono a secretive and Cutthroat organization that operates in babylonia's Shadow and her unit Cerberus is directly under Commander Nicholas supervision knowing we can do nothing about them we mentally prepare ourselves for any possibility and move on with the mission as we

approach the signal location we see no signs of Cerberus or any other indication of combat something that comes as a shock after Vera's earlier call it is at this point we find tifa's invert device with his still transmitting the signal along with two other members of suzaku squad already dead and corrupted pharah calls in League questions her about Cerberus not being in the area with her reply being she never said Tifa was near her signal and that Cerberus having found her has already engaged Lee reminds her of the consequences of sabotaging admission but this doesn't

phase from the slightest as the competition within corono is worth more than the risk of disciplinary action having fallen for Vera's deception we turn around and push towards her location knowing a single team is not enough to handle Tifa as we near cerberus's location we encounter a construct that we learn as a Survivor from suzaku Squad who was unable to contact Babylonia due to his comms equipment being destroyed noticing his poor condition we rush in to help him before he can be surrounded by the corrupted after clearing out the corrupted Lee performs emergency medical treatment

and we place him by an ISO unit to prevent any remaining corrupted from reaching him we turn to leave and run into even more corrupted these being far stronger than normal and have even Incorporated destroyed ISO units into themselves to act as Shields there connects to give Lee a hint that the shielding can be disabled inside of the iso fields since Lee correctly assumes that Vera left these enemies behind to slow us down she gives Lee a wish ticket for an IOU favor to be used at a later date to make up for the trouble

after fighting through the boosted corrupted Liv informs us that two signals are heading towards our current position the first we recognize as Tifa but the second is unknown when the second unknown signal reaches us we see it's the suzaku Survivor we had just saved whose infection has taken hold causing him to show up as a corrupted however with the last bit of Sanity remaining he leads the way to Tifa expressing a desire to try and save her we encounter Tifa who dispatches the Suzuki construct and assaults us with waves of jitterbombs causing us to flee

into the underground Subway for safety we got cut off by Tifa and find corpses of Fallen Cerberus members when Vera calls to inform us that she failed to defeat Tifa thank you Pharaoh thank you for the warning we didn't notice Tifa says that she will use the power of the Ascension Network to fulfill the last request her command and gave her Tifa gathers her power and attacks the group with an indiscriminate AOE attack of spikes and tentacles we grab Lucia and get to cover but Lee takes a direct hit and has a tentacle pierce his

chest while protecting Liv Lee takes the opportunity to shoot Tifa at point-blank range putting her down for good more corrupted appear Out of the Shadows but instead of coming after us they Rush After Tifa and tear her apart attempting to take her power for their own we leave the tunnels to a subway station and encounter Chrome the leader of strikehawk who arranges for our transport while talking with him we learned that strikehawk members typically operate alone and are often deployed around the world on individual missions this time however they have all been given the same

task to find more information on the ascendants who we learn are responsible for Tifa becoming the Iron Maiden in the first place we enter the transport and varic teases us over our poor condition a sentiment Lee quickly returns to Vera's displeasure after we leave a figure appears in the shadows of the subway calling out to her sister who has been quote unquote corrupted by the humans and expressed her desire to take her sister back away from Babylonia and have them reunite okay hello it's me posted Carefree Dot and uh I just wanted to give a

heads up something I totally forgot about is that the current chapters hidden section unlocks after you beat the following chapter so uh like chapter one hidden didn't unlock until you beat chapter two chapter two doesn't unlock until you beat chapter three and so on and so forth so in those hidden chapters you might see characters that you not supposed to know of until you do the following chapter uh as far as I've been in the story it's not a big deal it's not like some major spoiler that'll have you punching the air but if you

don't want to meet some certain characters early uh then you can just skip it I'll put something on the screen and if it's not on the screen it'll be the first comment I'll have that pinned if you don't want to meet those characters early on sometime after the mission tifa's corpse is taken back to Babylonia so her memories can be surged live along with Vera and Chrome for support connect to tifa's remains to search for more information on potential threats viewing her memories we see Tifa Awakening in her new body and next to her is

an ascendant named Roland who was the one who transformed her he tells her to gain more strength by absorbing more of the virus but that she must be careful as there is another quote special one in the area now since this takes place before you know all of chapter 1 starts I think that the special one is supposed to be nozzle but I could be very much wrong Tifa goes out and tests her strength by defeating various types of corrupted including a powerful Musashi type Mech on her Rampage through City 015 Tifa Slaughters many Babylonia

squads and eventually encounters kamui a member of strike Hawk who is searching for ascendance after Tifa confirms that kamui has no intention of becoming an ascendant the two engage in a brief fight but split apart due to the bridge they were standing on collapsing all right and that wraps up part two I uh I don't have too many comments it was a pretty simple and straightforward chapter we got introduced to a couple of new characters and Vera and chrome and uh those last two we met in the hidden I won't say their names though since

the the hiddens are meant to be done after you do the following chapter uh just for in case there's some people who skipped who didn't want spoilers oh oh wait how could I how could I forget the uh Slenderman girl who's in the subway I have no idea who that is uh but she definitely said uh sister so Lucio or Liv or I don't know God forbid Vera somebody has some explaining to do because like what what's that about yeah I feel like I'm improving at least a little bit I felt a lot better making

this one than I did the last one um hopefully it was uh noticeable to you guys out there yeah thank you very much for watching and uh look forward to any future parts [Music]
