. THE HOME AND MEMORY [Song] I will be an inhabitant of the world, despite the world Gaston Bachelard [Sound of wind on leaves] [Song of the common tody-flycatcher bird] Back then, things seemed a lot bigger than they do today. A garden became a big park the size like the whole world.
The trees reached up to the sky and seemed to touch it Like columns that hold the ceiling A maze where you could play for hours on end There's a lot of mystery in the memory There are things that show themselves without revealing themselves Like an invitation to dance to a song we're not hearing There are places that hide and then disappear There are places where memory lingers Where memories accumulate Where desires and fears meet Behind every door is a new opportunity Where do these paths lead us? What can a house that is not ours say about us? [Steps going up wooden stairs] [Ambient sound] Certain paths close from the mysteries of time Others call us The house-turned-school houses something more than a past [Sound of doorknob and door opening] The time layers forms constellations Just like looking at the stars, we glimpse a distant past that illuminates the present No matter how much the uses change, it is still possible to feel the perfumes and flavors of other times For that, something must still be there.
Making architecture is more than building or demolishing walls It's also travelling in time But what time? The images that surround us are not there by chance The image is an act and not a thing. Memory articulates our memories, our images Remembering puts the past in motion Remembering is also forgetting Who was forgotten so we could remember?
Who will remember our plays, our laughing or our conversations about love? [Knob sound] [Ambient sound] Documents tell us part of the story, but it is the everyday gestures that make the paths traveled so far come alive Memory always finds a place to remember Spaces witness our lives And in these reports there are protagonists, antagonists, supporting actors. .

. Some ask for permission to enter and stay, others. .
. to quit [Sound of wind on tree leaves] Maybe today that park isn't be the same as before Maybe that park is only possible yesterday Today´s garden can be a frame of the present [Song of the Tangara bird] With every place on its thing It is curious to think how childhood memories stay alive in us even over time even if their traces are the first to be erased from buildings Absences are present What we forget to remember is also part of us Draming of the house is like drawing a map to get lost The unique history offers us the risk of erasure, of complete nonexistence, a present without a past Why not play with space as inhabitants of other times have done?
