[Music] 1 John 2:1 15 says do not love the world or the things in the world if anyone loves the world the love of the father is not in him Saints let's examine ourselves and let's be honest with ourselves are we any different from the unbelieving world in which we live or do we share the same attraction and the same standards is your mindset different of the unbeliever in the world well it should be your mind should be renewed it should be transformed there should be a difference because we're called to come out from among
them them being this world our perspective our priorities how are we as Born Again Christians different from the world that we live in I pray that you'd sit down and evaluate your behavior and your conduct do they match up to God let's be true Disciples of Christ disciples who are totally committed to the kingdom of God in word and In Deed let us be disciples who measure ourselves with the word of God to make sure we're we're never stepping out of line or doing things our own way let's be disciples who are doers of the
word and not simply hearers I encourage you to live as the word of God directs us to to help myself do this I regularly hold myself up against the word of the Lord I hold it up to see if my actions are matching God's requirements for a Christian this means that if I am to live in the truth of Philippians 3: 20 which says for our citizenship is in heaven from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior the Lord Jesus Christ then I'm to have a mindset that is focused on things above on Heavenly
things on whatever is true whatever is Noble whatever is right whatever is pure whatever is lovely that's what I will Med meditate on if I to live in the truth of Matthew 16: 26 for what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul or what will a man give in exchange for his soul then my goal in life my mission in life is not to be successful by any means necessary it's not to accumulate and acquire as much as I can but rather it is to live
for God it's to live in obedience to his word so that my soul can be saved if I to live in the truth of Matthew 16 verse 24 if anyone desires to come after me let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me then my obsession is constantly running after Jesus seeking after after Jesus more of you God and less of me your will be done and not mine for you not to be of this world then you are living a life that is set on following Christ set on obeying his word
and set on serving serving the kingdom of God don't be moved by what you see with your natural eye but rely on the word of God that you know the word says that God is good he's a stronghold in the day of trouble focus on that instead of what's disappointing you the word says you are my Hiding Place and my shield it says I will look to the Lord I will wait for the god of my salvation and my God will hear me your life is in God's hands your future is in God's hands if
life hits you hard and you fall wouldn't it be better to fall into the Loving Arms of Jesus Christ than anywhere else so don't be defined by a diagnosis don't be defined by the numbers in your bank account I've had to talk to myself and remind myself that I have a creator who has a plan and God's plan will still Prevail God's will will still be done he has ordered my steps and so I am not alone my beginning and my end is known by him my highs and my lows are known by him and
I walk by faith and not by sight believing that the Lord has numbered my good good days to exceed my bad days so get to the point where you are content and at peace to say Lord my life is in your hands you have said be anxious for nothing you've said that you know the number of hairs on my head and so I Surrender and yield to your will now let us pray when you walked on this Earth Lord you showed people from all types of backgrounds compassion and love and mercy you would eat with
Sinners you would love on those who were shunned by Society help me to love others Lord those who don't look like me who don't sound like me who don't have the same background as me help me to love my neighbor with a god ly love help me to love others regardless of their sin Lord help me not to judge others because of their sin for I too am a sinner saved by grace one who is in need of your mercy and your compassion King Jesus when you walk this Earth Lord you were about your father's
business you put your will aside so that the will of God the father would be done Lord I pray for that kind of heart a heart that puts your will before mine a heart that puts you first Let It Be My Delight to obey your word and fulfill the purpose and the plans that you have over my life the Bible says in Ephesians 5: 15-1 17 therefore see that you walk carefully living life with honor purpose and courage shunning those who tolerate and enable evil not as the unwise but as wise sensible intelligent Discerning people
making the very most of your time on Earth recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence because the days are filled with evil therefore do not be foolish and thoughtless but understand and firmly grasp what the will of the Lord is Father please help me to walk uprightly help us as your children to walk with wisdom and honor before you raise us up to be a faithful people people a people who are not foolish and thoughtless but raise us up to be a people who understand and firmly grasp what
the will of the Lord is raise us up to be a people who are obedient to your will Lord Jesus Lord I ask that you would renew my strength daily I know your grace is sufficient for me each and every day you extend the grace so that I may walk in obedience to your commands Lord I pray that my daily habits would be beneficial to my soul and to my spirit let me not sew into the flesh because the flesh is corrupt and I don't want to reap a corrupt Harvest but instead Lord I pray
that you would revive my spirit quick my spirit Lord so that I may seow into that which gives me eternal life and Lord I know that that is you you King Jesus give me eternal life God I thank you for hearing my prayer I glorify you for being a loving and a caring God it's in the mighty name of Jesus that we pray this prayer amen do not love the world or the things in the world if anyone loves the world the love of the father is not in him for our citizenship is in heaven
