[Music] so we see there's a fundamental difference between the Sunni View and the Shia view the sunnis believe the IM the kff is just a political position could be selected by the people and in fact there aren't many conditions for the ruler to fulfill even if the IM or khif deviates spreads corruption commits sins kills people commits Act of Injustice you have to just shut your mouth and accept who says that sah Muslim listen to this Hadith in Muslim supposedly said in Muslim which is the second most prominent book of Hadith that they have the
other schools of thought after bukari the prophet sallallahu alaih Al supposedly in this Hadith says after me there will be leaders imams they will not walk on the path of guidance that belongs to me and they will not observe my Sunnah then the prophet Sall Al says the the the person who heard this Hadith from the prophet he asked him if I will live to experience such an era where the IM Theif is not following your Sunnah is not on the path of guidance what should I do you know what the prophet Sall Al says
in this Hadith you have to listen and obey the Amir even if he hits your back he confiscates your money and property you have to listen and you have to obey brothers and sisters does a prophet let alone a prophet does a wise person say words like this if I appoint someone not to rule a state or a city I appoint someone in my business in my business I have a little business and I want to go away for a month and I appoint someone and I tell you look even if you see this guy
destroying my business just say yes accept even if he oppresses you doesn't pay you and he just goes against the very values that my business is based upon just accept even if he beats you accept what will you say about me if I do this would you have respect for me and this is the greatest creation of God these are the words of Muslim and they consider this yes and that's why you find them historically implementing this the minute you talk about a rule aif committing acts of Injustice no no you have no right the
most that you do is just admonish them give them advice you cannot fight them you cannot remove them from Power even if they become the most corrupt people on Earth what kind of religion is this this is the Sunni view of IM and as we're discussing this by the way we're not attacking any any any school of thought this is just an AC mic critique we respect Muslims and they have their you know school of thought but this is really problematic if you simply apply this to the standards of the Quran does this opinion hold
when you compare it to the spirit of Justice in the Holy Quran or no why would Allah T want a leader who unjust to stay in power why is this good for Humanity or not so what are the conditions that Sunni schools of thought have placed for the Imam first of all there they don't have an agreement each Sunni school of thought or Sunni scholar has different conditions and requirements which in itself is disturbing because IM is such an important issue you know you would think that the prophet sallallahu alai explained what the conditions are
he should have why leave it vague why leave it up to us to try to figure out what the conditions are the prophet explained to us the little conditions of everyday normal issues buying selling even even if you scratch somebody you don't cut somebody's hands no you just scratch them the prophet taught Muslims what kind of compensation you have to give now an important issue like IM the prophet is not going to tell us the conditions so they have a lot of contradictory and conflicting ideas about what the conditions are but here are the most
three common conditions most Sunni Scholars accept number one the IM has to be fromr is that mecan tribe and the prophet sallallahu alai Al comes from that tribe this is unanimous there's no disagreement that the IM must be from qur even sh we the sh believe that because the prophet sallallahu alaih clearly said in a number of hadiths that the imams after me are all from qur so no discuss here everyone has accepted this condition the one who isif and is qualified to represent the prophet must be from qur but at the end they still
went against that we'll we'll get to that exactly even that they violated many of their cffs whom they recognize as rulers are not from qures number two the IM has to be just has to have justice has to be upright you don't see them publicly listenning they're reliable they're trustworthy number three they have to have be knowledgeable now they don't have to be the most knowledgeable according to Sunni theology but they have to have knowledge about the faith knowledge about the Shar of the Prophet knowledge of the Quran they have to have some good level
of knowledge for them to be able to properly represent the prophet sallallahu alai so these are the three conditions that Sunni schools of thought are pretty much in agreement about what was the third one knowledge the IM has to have some good level of knowledge knowledge number one number two just number three they must have at least a good level of knowledge now here's our observations about these three conditions if sunnis accept Sunni Scholars and theology if they accept that Justice is a requirement for the IM how do they accept these hadiths that say if
the Imam becomes unjust and corrupt you still have to obey them isn't this a contradiction or you think this is reasonable and logical that's problematic we have a contradiction here a discrepancy on the one hand you say one of the conditions of the Imam is to be just on the other hand you say no whatever he does accept and Obey and keep him in power that's problematic these two don't add up how do you accept these two at the same time either you have to say no justice is not a requirement or you don't accept
those hadiths that tell you if the Imam becomes corrupt then you have to not do anything and accept this is a clear contradiction over here if I impose a condition on any position in my business in my school in anything if if I have a condition and someone is not meeting that condition are they qualified to stay in that position if for example you run a school and you have defined in your bylaws that the principal of that school has to meet these conditions 1 2 3 four five 6 months later the principal whom you've
appointed or has been elected is no longer Meeting those conditions what do people do in an average Society do they say Oh no just keep him and fine he's the principal we're stuck with him for Life what do we do what do rational people do of course if he is insisting on making those violations yes sometimes you could admonish them give them advice hold them accountable and they'll change fine we give people chances but if the principal is defying they get fired that's even the most simple position we have that now when it comes to
the Imam they are saying IM has to be just but hey if he becomes unjust no no no don't fire him just keep him in power that's a contradiction so we have this critique that these two don't add up and this in itself is problematic [Music]
