[Music] the Bible presents us with the story of two gardens the Garden of Eden and The Garden of Gethsemane Adam and Eve disobeyed God's will in the Garden of Eden however in the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus said nevertheless not as I will but as you will isn't it interesting that there is this huge contrast between what took place in the Garden of Eden and what took place in the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus offers us the greatest lesson of obedience In The Garden of Gethsemane whereas we can learn about the painful consequences of Disobedience when we

look at Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden in that first Garden Adam and Eve listened to a voice they had no business listening to and as a result they took a fall they fell into sin they fell into Disobedience but in the second Garden Jesus Took a stand he set his own feelings aside and he obeyed the voice of God the Father you see Genesis 3:9 says then the Lord God Called to Adam and said to him where are you think of that because of sin in the first Garden God sought Adam however

in the second Garden Jesus sought God he left the disciples to go and seek God Almighty Matthew 26:39 says he went a little farther and fell on his face and prayed saying oh my father if it is possible let this cup pass from me nevertheless not as I will but as you will and really pay attention to the contrasting events that happened between the two gardens in Eden Adam hid from God in Gethsemane Jesus made himself fully available to God in Eden the devil deceived Adam and Eve to a tree that led to their spiritual

death but oh in Gethsemane our lord Jesus began that journey of Love pain and sacrifice that ended on the cross but led us to eternal life now these two guard are symbolic of a state of living for each and every one of us we all have choices we all have a measure of control when it comes to how we live and what we do each day and what I'm trying to put across to you or rather what I'm trying to demonstrate is that when it comes to your spiritual life you're either living like Adam and

Eve in the Garden of Eden where you believe the lies of the enemy you act on those lies and you disobey God it's a state where one lives in sin and hides from the presence of God because of their shame or you're living like Jesus in The Garden of Gethsemane sacrificial living your will God and not my will that type of living where it's all about God you may be sorrowful and troubled at times but you still choose to obey God you may be overwhelmed but you still choose to obey God and I want to

encourage you today friends be like Christ separate yourself from others and seek the face of the Lord in prayer seek to be willing and obedient as for me well I've decided that I will trust I will praise I will pray and I will worship Jesus Christ today and forever I'll give my all I won't hold any back I will be loyal and wholly devoted to Jesus Christ I'm not waiting for a convention I'm not waiting for the blessing or the miracle I'm trusting the Lord today you see tomorrow is not promised today while I still

have breath in my lungs and strength in my bones I will put my trust in Jesus I'll commit my ways to him as long as I'm living as long as I have a voice I will declare that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior today I boldly declare that I will I will I will put my faith only in Jesus Christ no one else could rescue me no one else could offer me help but Jesus so I'll call on the name of Jesus Christ today I'll call on his name tomorrow and every day after that

whether I'm on the Mountaintop or I am deep in the valley I will call on Jesus Christ he is always faithful and so with this understanding let us go to God In Prayer dear God You Are Holy and Majestic in all your ways in the Garden of Gethsemane Lord Jesus your words were my father if it is possible may this cup be taken from me yet not as I will but as you will and my father I pray that when I encounter moments situations or events that leave me in a troubled state may I remember

to trust and lean on you may I remember to act with your will as my motive and not my own selfish desires Lord Jesus you could have preserved yourself you could have spared yourself the agony and pain that you endured on Calvary but yet you chose out of love out of your great mercy and out of obedience to sacrifice yourself so that we who were lost could be saved all glory and praise be to you King Jesus Philippians 2:8 says and being found in appearance as a man he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death

even death on a cross God I thank you for that extraordinary kind of love Lord Jesus I thank you for your sacrifice help us in our lives so that we might be obedient to your voice to your will to your way you King Jesus became flesh and you led by example showing us that it is possible to live a Godly life so Lord right now I ask you to help me to be more like you change me from the inside out so that I may seek first the kingdom of God father I'm amazed and I'm

forever in your dead when I think that because of your love for us you were mocked and beaten your head was pierced with a crown of thorns you were wounded and nailed to the cross all so that we could declare first Peter 2: 24 he himself bore our sins in his body on the cross so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness by his wounds you have been healed because of you my Lord I can say with confidence and with gratitude he was wounded for my transgressions he was bruised for my iniquities

the chastisement for for my peace was upon him and by his stripes I am healed father I am empowered by not only your word but by your love because it was your love that led you to save and Deliver Me from sin while I was yet a sinner you didn't hesitate to give your life for me so Jesus I look to you and I'm lost for words all I can say is thank you all I can do is worship you Lord you're perfect and righteous and even though you were blameless you still reduced yourself to

man so that I would not be lost Lord You're the way the truth and the life it's by and through your sacrifice that I can be delivered it's by and through your sacrifice that I can experience real Joy real Peace and Freedom Lord help me to carry my cross daily help me to reach out to you for help for strength for guidance your word in Matthew 10:38 says and he who does not take his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me so Lord I ask you give me the strength to take up

my own cross and chase after you Lord give me the strength to look unto you the author and the finisher of my faith the one who knows both the known and the unknown father I thank you for receiving me and I thank you for hearing this prayer it's in the precious name of Jesus Christ that we pray and give thanks amen trust in the Lord and do good then you will live safely in the land and prosper take Delight in the Lord and He will give you your heart's desires commit everything you do to the

Lord trust him and he will help you he will make your innocence radiate like the Dawn and the justice of your cause will shine like the Noonday [Music] Sun I have set the lord always before me because he is at my right hand I shall not be moved therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices My Flesh also will rest in hope he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall but those who hope in the Lord will renew

their strength they will soar on wings like eagles they will run and not grow weary they will walk and not be faint
