okay so let's start looking into some of the different niches you want to get into you we got energy efficient home heating home solar energy home energy audit furniture assembly and after I'm looking into this upfront let's think of you know like just common sense thinking and saying hey how many people are going to be calling for home solar energy sometimes it could be just common sense you can figure it out sometimes it's you don't know you can google and find out you know if you repair air conditioning installed now I know that AC repair is it can be a big it's big business in cities like you know states like Texas and California or Arizona where the Sun was already very brutal summers so maybe that's something I can get into I also know HVAC you know a/c and heater repair and all that they are pretty competitive also so I want to look into AC because a couple of reasons these guys here a lot of these AC repair companies they are used to paying home advisor or you know similar companies for leads they very well understand the paper lead model and they are open to it so this could be a lucrative make if you want to get into depending on the competition on that so let's say I want to zero in on or at least look into AC repair I've done go into you know all of these different cities one by one and try to see what I could try okay so I know in Wisconsin Kenosha the AC repairs gotta be seasonal because when the winter comes we won't need the AC most likely they'll be looking for heater repair furnace repair things like that maybe San Angelo Texas could be something your California cities New Jersey and Michigan again seasonal so it may not be the best but let's just say Texas alum you know Texas could be 12 months or 12 months you know people would probably the AC because it's pretty hot out there so let's just take Alan and then let's say AC AC repair Allen Texas so I looked into this a little bit before I record of this video and the first thing you notice is there's a lot of search volume 390 such as a month now that's a lot of volume for a hundred thousand population city so I don't know if it is well it at first glance it looks like a big big number so my main keyword I'm searching for is a machine repair Allen TX for Allen Texas and I have an exact match name over here if you depress Allen Texas then I have one more that's again an exact match issue Allen okay so to me it looks like hey these there are a few a CEOs who are already in this game over here so it could be a little bit competitive I want to open these two and see the first guy over here okay if the Allen Texas issue your prayer calm the websites yes Allen Texas a CLE prayer calm the G and beat self is issued by Allen Texas calm but just looking at this it looks like a Lynch inside is perfectly done it's gonna form here it's got all the different keywords over here so it looks like somebody's done it could be a legion site it could be somebody's doing don't pick somebody for SEO bottom line is this is not a very low hanging fruit I want to go after and rank in four months I could if I wanted to but you know if you use the first website you're doing you don't want to really go after and fight with other see okay I should rather fight with guys that are not doing a CEO not and only Jen and be able prank and print easily see him he's identified a lot of difference season on that so he's done a lot of work so we may want to skip that right take a look at the other one he's a brand new website it's daf1 MDA of PA up one is because either battery is a brand new website but it's ranking in the three pack because he's got the mix that came over here he's got a good number of reviews and all that so just looking into him he doesn't seem to be a SEO order Legion website he's basically just backing off of the keywords over here but one thing I'm really curious to see is why is it 390 such as a month is it is it is it the same is it not that you know why he looks a bit too much - too high for a hundred thousand population city just out of experience so what I'm going to do is I want to see if I can go and find a different city and maybe you know look into that city so let's just take a look at John right and let's just search for AC repair and look at John that's the same number of population but look at that the wall he was so significantly less and if I come down over here I don't have a field apparel kitchen I do have an air conditioner repair but not exactly what is he repairs them you know there were not too many keyword stuffed GME's over here so one reason that AC repair Allen Texas it shows 390 such as a month is because these guys here you know as they do their CEO they are searching and seeing in Google and seeing where they are ranking and that's kind of beefing up the search volume number in this plugin so one thing you need to understand is not all all keyword tools such as you know volume tools are accurate in fact none of the my accurate but you can definitely get an understanding by doing some common-sense comparison okay so if you repair seems to be at least for those cities sims will be pretty pretty competitive in the sense you know people are doing rank and rent and leak and fu and on there so let's keep going plumbing and I know plumbing is another where people just jump into all the time kappa cleaning is one mitch where there's a lot of people you know what i wanted you guys to understand is there are so many categories where really literally untapped okay concrete foundation ok concrete foundation is one i would say that's pretty much untapped not too many people over there you know painting and staining you know most of the time almost all the SEO guys they go after plumbing they go after HVAC they all go after dentist and lawyer you know it's crazy but if you really look into you know do your research of other niches there are tons and tons like hundreds of mitches where there's a literally untapped ok inspection look about the inspection is one that i haven't heard anyone doing that so maybe that's something you can get into so however the check was that concrete foundation so let's still go and do a search for concrete so I wanted to put concrete foundation but see Google is suggesting concrete contractors that means there are people searching for concrete contractors let me just say concrete foundation allen texas and see it is what the search volume is it is almost zero now that doesn't mean is really zero but it you know there's probably a few people searching for that but it may not justify the search volume but let's see concrete contractors let's see how that is till such as a month which is pretty okay because there's again there's variations they can do right i will go deeper into gauging keyword research it on there the number of searches a month but this is just a broad analysis into you know hey is this even worth getting into food in this city so one thing i notice in concrete contractors I don't see any you know exact match G and B in the map back there's not nobody that says concrete contractor Allen Texas right there right the first of a think there's a lot of concrete work let's look into what is Hanna five thousand population Tyler Texas so maybe I stick with that one seventy such as a month okay so this is a little bit more more search volume I like that I don't see concrete contractor or Tyler anyway and the GM breeze over here which is that's the second thing I like the other thing I see is you see this there are fifteen concrete contractors they're already paying home advisor so that means you have enough people out there you can reach out to you can reach out to all these guys basically they are paying for needs to homeadvisor and most of the time if you're paying for these two home advisor they already know the paper lead model and they're willing to pay so that's a good sign let me come down and look take a look at the organic listings the first one is homeadvisor. com we are not worried about home advisor or yellow pages or Facebook or BBB row for the simple fact that these these websites are ranking just because they are so huge they have tons of leg literally hundreds of thousands of pages and this is ranking off the domain authority of the website and I'll go a little bit deeper domain Authority a little bit later but what I'm trying to say is they are not ranking because that this page here it is not ranking because this page has been optimized just for concrete and just for Tyler okay he is ranking because of the four thousand to our links going into homeadvisor. com ok so my real competitor my first competitor would be the number-one guy whose root domain is ranking which would be AJ concrete Tyler Texas TX calm now I want to take a look at this guy definitely there is yellow book thumbtack the second guy is dollar concrete okay now if you see this guy's domain Authority for nine this guy's a domain domain authority for thirteen and I'm happier I like looking into them basically because I want to see if he's in it really really optimized because if they are optimized then I want to see how much of work I need to do it to outrank them so one of the things I do is does he have concrete contractor title like this main keyword in the title tag he does not but he does have individual domain so he could be one guy who is doing some kind of an SEO but I can if you look at it he doesn't have too much content on you know page and all that he's he's really not doing a lot of SEO he's probably ranking because he's got some age and he's got a lot of content okay second this guy his he's got concrete contractor in Tyler that's about it so maybe some some I see other you know keyword in the title tag how much content does he have a decent amount of content not too much really he's again he's ranking because he's got a lot of these different pages and all that so one other thing I want to do is I want to see how many pages does he have this guy's got 27 pages let's take a look at this guy got nine pages so our number one comparators has nine figures and is ranking that's a good sign okay because what we're gonna do is we're gonna come and we're gonna build a huge website and make it an authority and all that so that's one of the things the second thing is the cost per click in case I want to run Google Ads is $3 73 cents what that means is as I put together my website okay as its taking three four five months through prank and come to the top over here it's gonna take a couple of months to see the first need come in but I can literally reach out to somebody you know one of these contractors in homeadvisor.
com and until him hey if you can pay me you know we'll find out what the going rate for a lead is but let's say for example $25 we can tell him hey would you pay me $25 for a lead you already pay that do is open up the map listings and see how many pages of map listings do I have okay in this case there's seven pages of map listings okay that's a bit too much in my experience again that doesn't is pretty high if you compare to the one we saw before window cleaning the CPC was higher the searches were low but if you come over here because per click is less our searches are pretty high yep I don't care Yelp I don't care Yelp I don't care tint world comm is a big looks like a bigger I don't care this is the first one I need to outrank and they'll root the main wife's and look at him he has
