once you write magnetic High convered copy that grabs attention and crushes objections makes your audience to give you their credit card or at least transaction or maybe you've tried writing copy before but it didn't hit or converted the way that you hoped well if this sounds familiar I got good news today I'm going to give you five battle tested copyrighting exercises that will transform how you write and help you create copy that sells these aren't just some random drills I created these are Frameworks that top copywriters like myself use and we've made Millions from them
and by the time we're done maybe you will too and don't worry these are fun it's not about writing the same sentence over and over again 10 times in a row nothing boring like that we're going to take real strategies that make your copy completely convert like crazy and we're going to apply them in real life I'm John Benson and this is sales copy Secrets exercise number one is called nailing your primary and secondary goals now here's the thing about copy if you don't know what your audience really wants your words are just basically noise
they're really busy that's why every great sales letter starts with the understanding of two things the primary goal which is the surface level desire the basic need that they have and the secondary goals these are the deeper emotional winds that actually are driving them to want to achieve this primary goal so let's break this down by starting with the primary goal got to ask yourself what's the one thing that my Prospect wants more than anything right when they wake up in the morning and if you're selling a weight loss program the primary goal might be
to Simply lose weight but to dig into the secondary goals this is the key because they are the emotional reasons behind why they want to lose weight why does it matter for them for weight loss secondary goals might be slipping back into your favorite jeans or feeling confident at a wedding or a high school reunion reclaiming the energy that you need to keep up with your kids so you need to combine these together in form really killer copy like if you want to combine these ideas you might say I know you need to lose weight
but just imagine pulling on those genes you haven't worn in years and feeling energized and finally loving who you see in the mirror now we're talking notice we're not just talking about losing weight we're painting a picture of how that transformation is going to feel so your task your assignment is take any product any product at all write out the primary and secondary goals then craft two sentences that bring them together trust me this exercise alone will help your copy tfold all right exercise number two is called empathy mapping it sounds pretty complicated but it's
not now let's talk about empathy if your audience doesn't feel like you get them they're gone it's that simple but here's the trick when your words reflect their struggles and their desires it feels like you're speaking directly to them you're having a conversation with them and that's the connection that we're going for now here's how to create an empathy map that will help you do that first of all you want to step into their their shoes by asking these questions what do they see ads telling them they're not enough clothes that don't fit Fitness influencers
living their best lives we're back into weight loss as an example just to help you teach to help me teach this but what are they hearing maybe friends saying have you tried this new diet why don't you exercise more what what do they feel they feel frustrated embarrassed maybe even hopeless what do they say themselves things like why can't I stick to anything well I want to help you write a L of cobby that shows that you understand this for example you've tried diet after diet nothing seems to work listen it's not your fault today's
world makes staying healthy harder than ever but it doesn't have to be this way now notice what's going on with that those lines of copy you're not just selling a product you're showing someone how to get their struggles solved and you're going to build trust in this Prospect is going to keep your prospect reading so your task is to pick a target audience and answer those questions just gave you write them out one sentence at a time if you have to then create a paragraph that makes them feel empathized with okay exercise number three transform
mistaken beliefs into benefits so mistaken beliefs are the invisible chains that are basically holding your prospect back if you can you want to break those chains because you're going to turn Skeptics into buyers these are ideas that someone holds that simply aren't serving them any longer you're going to want to list the common objections to help them overcome this think about the myths or excuses that your audience might believe for example back to nutrition and dieting I don't have time to get healthy or this won't work for someone of my age or I tried everything
and nothing works you're going to flip that objection into a truth and even into a benefit so here's what you're going to do you're going to take this beliefs and turn them into empowering statements even if you're short on time the system I'm about to show you works it works as little as 10 minutes a day you could lose weight at any age with the right approach and this program is designed for people who struggle with everything and nothing's worked before it's not your fault but it is your time so notice what I'm doing here
I'm using the works even if formula it's one of my favorite it works even if you're this this this this but I'm turning those objections into benefits into things that actually sound good to them so your task is to write down three objections for your product flip them into benefits and craft it with the works even if statement that's the easiest way to do this it works even if blank exercise number four kickass sales bullets man I love me some sales bullets I got videos on the channel about the sales bullets they're basically like popcorn
bite-sized easy to consume leaves your audience wanting more they're like miniature sales letters but there's a trick to it great bullets tease just enough to spark curiosity without you giving everything away so here's a formula I like to use number one is I start with a juicy verb think like unlock discover uncover Master then I add a hook to that revealed on page seven or I'll show show you on video number three then I'm going to combine two unexpected ideas together in at least one of these bullets that don't sound like they go again like
uncover the secret to torching belly fat while eating your favorite foods revealed on page seven that's a pretty straightforward one but listen to this one discover why stress is sabotaging your sleep and the one strange fix that works in 30 seconds explained in video too or learn how chocolate cake actually increases fat loss you'll find out on page 15 you see what I'm doing here I'm creating chocolate cake fat loss they don't seem like they go together so your task is to write down five bullets for any product that you're currently working on and use
these principles to help make those bullets more irresistible now remember you need to leave your audience wanting more intensely curious right now exercise number five is called reframing objections objections are just disguised opportunities when someone says this won't work for me they're handing you a chance to prove them wrong and that's what we're going to do here here and here's how we're going to do it you're going to write down a common objection for the offer that you have for example I don't have time we just talked about that earlier you're going to acknowledge it
with empathy I get it life's hectic finding time feels almost impossible then flip that into a solution and that's why this works so well because it's only 10 minutes a day it's designed for folks like you people that are busy they have busy lives see how I'm talking here it's so powerful when you combine this together look I get it you're busy that's why this works even if you just have 10 minutes a day even busy super successful people like you can see I threw in the super super successful to Pat them on the bat
a little bit you know pat on the back just a little bit now that's what you're going to want to work on and you're going to want to work that into an exercise that you do just turn each sentence you write into a persuasive line that flips an objection on its head get to it
