all right is I have an extra set of notes cuz I'm using my iPad is her and Amanda in here any anyone with the name Amanda with blond hair blond hair Amanda come on up I'm giving you these notes these are goodness but the crow she's chatty today these are very valuable you could you could you could use these quotes and on Twitter and Instagram you're welcome not I I'm gonna give this out after the school will have like a cider scent where we give you our notes because I think it's important too I'm gonna
go through a lot of stuff and read a lot and go kind of fast so it's hard to keep up so I'll give you the notes later so you can really listen um I've already shared this message three times not at school but at church and conferences and stuff so the the team most fifteen of her has heard this message I've added some stuff to it but the topic is about pure worship pure hearted worship and so because that was a topic of our first session I want to just kind of do a little bit
of a repeat all right all right we good I think the life of Jesus is a good representation of someone who walked the earth in worship and surrendered to the Father and he represented a symbol of surrender that I think sometimes we overlook he taught everything in the Bible everything he did was something it was because he actually took a step and lived it out and then taught it so whenever he told a parable to the disciples he would he was teaching them so they had hands-on experience and I'm sometimes in our culture we have
like a coffee shop mentality and I joke around about that I'm not gonna joke around about that today but in our culture it's it's this reading a lot of books sitting in a coffee shop in thinking that you're experiencing real life and sometimes that is and we need to have moments where we get alone and we're studying and we're getting along with God but if you watch the life of Jesus his worship was that but it was also in footsteps Indian going after things and actually experiencing what it was like to get his hands dirty
pray for the sick and hold the beggar raise the dead all of those things and then he taught out of that in so life has a way of getting us ready if we let it if you allow the Holy Spirit to get you ready to have a voice to have a message get ready because he will when we say I will give you all my worship Lord I surrender we don't know what that really means that means he's going to push us out into uncomfortable situations where it's gonna feel like it's not glamorous it's not
inspiring this worship but it will if we just hang on if we if we are committed to him people that are in there like my grandparents are gonna speak today they're in their 80s and they're still Christians are still serving the Lord their whole lives those are the people I look at my god that's the goal someone who has been through the ups and downs and has learned to live a life of worship there's a quote I follow this it's called on writing daily on Twitter I'm actually on it on a social media fast me
and my wife talked last night and um two weeks Paul two weeks I'm gonna post but not check how's that post but not check you know and but there's this quote on this this Twitter account that I just love this this it says how dare we sit down and write when we haven't stood up to live how dare we sit down to write when we haven't stood up to live and God is wanting us to stand up and live the life that he has for us and I can promise you this when you are surrendered
and you commit your life to God and it doesn't mean everything's are gonna be perfect I can promise you you'll have something to say a lot of us want to have something to say this deep profound revelation this deep thought all these things but we haven't taken the risk to actually stand up and live it's in that posture that we get those nuggets where the Bible calls them revelry where we learn what pure worship really is because it's more than a song it's more than a sound it's more than even what we did today this
was a moment where we responded out of what was inside of us but that in and of itself is not the whole of what worship is so let's pray lord I we just invite you again and um just enlighten our hearts Oh sign bright on on your word today that we would hear and sense and come to know this thing called worship what it what it is amen all right I'm gonna say a quote and then I'm gonna go right into the worst our our our worship we're never gon notice with God even if we
don't see the reward in this lifetime there is an eternity where those who tie their hearts to their God and worship will receive the greatest prize worship is when we tie our hearts to his when we tie our hearts to his it's a picture of commitment humility and surrender it's so our hearts will beat with his for the strongest heart will lead the weaker heart that's what worship is is is the commitment to connecting your heart with his because when you connect your heart with his when he goes right you feel the nudge to go
right when he goes left you feel the nudge to go left and that's what worship is Genesis chapter 4 3 through verse 7 I'm just gonna read it it's a story about Cain and Abel as a kid when I read these stories it was like fairy tale but now as an adult when I read these stories it's I just joke it's like a mind blow just the fact that some of these guys live nine-hundred and like 63 or 7 years old that's amazing to me I'm like how much it's I just love that I'm a
fairy tale I'm a fantasy guy but it actually happened it's real and I read these stories in like this amazing and there's so much in Genesis I feel like in my life personally so I go in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought forth an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord the queue right there and I've done this before so everyone over here just act like I haven't so laughs the fruit of the ground to the Lord that was Cain's offering then it says Abel also brought of
the firstborn of his flock and of their fat their right II know I'm gone and the Lord obviously respected Abel's offering but he did not respect Cain or his offering see it got personal it said he did not respect Cain or his offering just put that kale back up there it's obvious the Lord is not dumb and this is the part I want to you could see me coming up with this like laughing that kind of and Cain was very it says in Cain was very angry in his countenance fell I felt like we have
a generation that are getting angry and their countenances are falling because they're trying to slip one past God it's very obvious and very simple have you ever tried to slip on past God maybe it looks like worship from the outside but on the inside you know it's not it's just a token well in Cain's day something terrible happened and so the Lord said to Cain why are you angry question mark and why has your countenance fallen question mark he said this and I think this is important if you do well will you not be accepted
and if you do not do well sin lies at the door and his desires for you but you should rule over it he's giving him an out here in our lives we were given the same exact option and in our disobedience we pay God is the cruel judge when he doesn't receive our so-called worship God gave Cain an out I read you a moment of grace but Cain got embittered and offended and did not rule over his heart and he killed his brother as a result of that he didn't heed the words of the Lord
the gracious truth that God gave him and he got offended and embittered and he killed his because of worship Cain and Abel were each given the same opportunity to bring an offering to God it was an equal playing field Abel past in Cain did not because there is no such thing as half worship or almost worship worship is or isn't it's real or it's fake it's black or it's white there's so many things in our world that have gray area but when it comes to worship it is or isn't it's blacker that's why you cannot
pull a quick one on God but God is gracious to us and gives us opportunity after opportunity to try again I think historically we always look at Cain as a terrible person this guy on a cartoon character looking thing you know they draw pictures of Cain and Abel with a rock standing over Abel killing him as this terrible tyrant angry embittered demonized killing Abel but it started with a simple thing in his heart that said I wonder if I can just slip this little thing past God and he won't notice do you know arrogant that
is we sit here and we think we can slip things back past God as if God doesn't know what's in our heart but the thing is God is so gracious and through the blood of Jesus he gives us opportunity to try and try again it took the Israelites 40 years to try and try again but God stuck with him the thing about God this it feels intense but the thing about our God is he never gives up love never gives up so we could spend our entire lives learning what it is to truly worship well
let's look at Cain is a terrible man but he did bring something it's not like he didn't bring anything he brought religion to God when God want a relationship is your something is the offering of your life worship or religion worship is surrender worship costs us it's that obedience it's that thing that he's asking for and we say I get it and religion is looking at someone else what they're giving and copying and going oh that worked for them I'll do the same thing even though it didn't cost you that's religion because one God accepts
receives and is pleased with and one he hates despises him will not accept one is heart deep and one is just surface there's a story in the Bible and and when I was going through a couple years ago and I had my collapse when I hit a wall I remember a turning point in my life when I read this story I remember sitting in the chair early in the morning and I read the story I believe it's in Luke 9 it's a prostitute at Jesus's feet in a house and there's religious leaders there and she
throws herself at his feet and from Jesus's perspective it was a hundred percent pure surrendered worship it costs her everything it costs her her livelihood in that moment she knew that she could never go back to what she she knew she knew she could never go back to her livelihood a prostitution in that moment and Jesus knew it was worship but all the religious the fake worshipers all they saw was on the surface this prostitute who is being a spectacle letting her hair down which in that day when you let your hair down as a
prostitute that means you were open for business they saw on the surface and Jesus saw heart deep and that was worship if you can put that pickup picture up of my of the dear please okay now every one of these dear kind of looked the same their meal dear we shot in Montana we go every year father-son trip with some friends it's this like the best week of our lives and my dad's standing to the right there with his dear he said dear if you look on the outside that deer looks very similar to the
other deer but when we sent the deer to the butchers to get butchered I'm sorry some of you might be offended does that offend you I'm sorry I'm trying to not be sarcastic and offensive but I'm using this as an appoint kind of trying for me it's trying it looks the exact same but when we took him to the butchers my dad's deer I don't know how it was still alive but all the meat inside of it was completely rotten so it was worthless it was a waste it was a waste of buying a tag
it looked great on the outside we were all pumped and excited right there centre Darren and we get to report your deers rotten worship is not surface it's inside and when we express ourselves it's just a reflection and external response of what is on the inside and you can't ever fake God out when you worship because he sees either it's rotten inside or it's not you can't we can't play the comparison game when it comes to worship God makes us originals and he wants an original offering this is the scary one an original offering I
think in our culture it's tricky because we look at what works we look at someone's success or what they've got breakthrough and we think if I could just copy that I too will have success and when it comes to worship God made everyone in this room an original and God loves what you love specifically God loves that I love goats Ben loves that I love goats most of you probably could care less and think they're whatever but God loves that I love goes God loves what you love it means something to him what especially is
special to him God looks on the inside before accepting what we offer him on the outside our outward expression should just be a reflection what's on the inside and it needs to be an original offering out of what he's given us the desires in our hearts and he's given us living with conviction for me worship goes past the music past the song it goes into if you if you stick with God long enough if you tie your hearts with God long enough you'll realize that he's asking you for more than just a song more than
just a moment on Sunday morning or a worship school he's asking you for things that are gonna cost you and for me I wrote these in quote form but this is what I feel like the Lord is kind of like asking me for so I'm just gonna read these out this is brian johnson personal worship I'd rather live with conviction and influence a handful of people then spend my life climbing a ladder and losing the effect in my voice with each step and what that means to me is I would rather stick to convictions I
feel and say all the great hashtags all the great things that appease the ears of people to gain influence because what is influence for influences to influence people unto something or better yet unto someone so if I dumb my message down doesn't mean I you know there's been times where I've even lately you know poke the bear a little bit too much but it's okay it doesn't mean to not be wise and just say whatever my wife's probably laughing right now but it does mean to have clear lines where you say I will not cross
that line in my life specifically for me I will not do and say and be someone that I'm not to gain influence for what for what our influence is unto someone and if we're painting a picture of Jesus this nice sweet whatever so that people will look at us and go isn't he amazing check your heart when Fame is the motive relevance becomes the God and eventually strips the power from our assignment I got that from a girl on Instagram in the comments section I don't know who was but whoever wrote that was good it's
good to build our ministries everyone's here to build a ministry we're in ministry we want to we want to be how many your worship leaders well every one ministry where we want to bill we want to write the songs we want to have departments we want to have you know like worship schools of our own we want to have albums we want to have record labels we want to have all those things it's good to build our ministries but let's not call it for God and people if it's really mainly for our own egos it's
easy to say it's for the right reasons until our names are removed from the equation now this sounds all great but this is real to me and this is a daily walk in it I haven't even come close to arriving it just sounds awesome doesn't it for the until our names were removed from the equation could you imagine if our names were removed from the equation that would be rough but it's a good place to sit and just think about certain minor things if your name's removed from the equation would you still be in it
for the right reasons would you still be in it for the long haul it's our job I live with conviction before all-knowing all-seeing God your worship is between you and God does the offering of your life say he is Lord are you Cain or are you able um how do you've heard of a guy named Rick Joyner he's prophet amazing I love his books he told the story in one of his books um he had a vision of God sitting on his throne in heaven and it was a Sunday morning and all over the earth
various church happening great big churches small churches and then there's a small tiny small group of people that God was had his eye on from heaven and they were singing simple songs pretty much out of tune there wasn't a lot of talent in the room but something about their worship caused God to stand up on his throne and take notice and look at them and I just think that's an amazing picture of our worship to God even though we strive for excellence and we want to be as good as we can be and we need
to strive for excellent and we can't use this story as a cop-out to not stuartt our gifts but as a heart posture of worship does your offering get God on his feet does the offering of your life get God on his feet can he hear past all the noise get on his feet and turn and look at you music in and of itself is not worship newsflash music in and of itself is not worship music is a means to express worship but not worship worship is the heart going up toward God and gratitude and Thanksgiving
for all that he has done music is what gives expression to love and adoration but the motive for that has to come from somewhere else not from music the motive for all our songs is not a sound it's interesting um you ever hear those songs that it just care for me it's like that song 10,000 reasons the song carries something much more than the music much more than a good song it it has a life of its own the motive for that song is not in the sound because it's a kind of an older sound
it doesn't feel innovative really but it doesn't matter at all because the song points you to someone the song carries an anointing on it you get to that third verse you know on that day when my strength is failing that that moment when we all come to realize that that's gonna happen to us the end draws near and my time has come but still my soul will sing your praise and ending it's real it carries something on it and it's not wasn't written for the song it was written because it carries a moment and when
we write if you're a songwriter take note that write unto something or better yet unto someone so that people can feel God on the music when I sing that song I won't forget this morning that was just an overflow of an encounter with God that I had and it's not the typical song I would write but every time I sing it I'm reminded I feel God like it did in that moment and the songs that carry someone's like encounter with God that's why you have to stand up to live you have stand up to live
and right from those experiences Ray Charles said if I if I can feel the music other people will to worship will cost us everything what you do with your life your time your friends etc and it's rarely ever Instagram or Facebook worthy to follow him means you won't follow any other options cue that video isn't that nice and letting go of anything that hinders your full view of him now what happens when one of those little ducks decides to kind of go off on his own now I have four cats and I've killed 70 raccoons
at my house but I still have more what happens if one of those little ducks decides I'm not gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna go my own way what happens to him he dies right it sounds stupid if it's really that simple when we get our eyes off Jesus and we try to decide to go our own way out of the fold out of the safety net of community out of that that safety net of accountability out of that safety net of a daily eyes are on Jesus slowly but surely we drift off and we might
last a day or two but eventually that cat or raccoon is gonna come kill us sad story everyone first ducks died but they did not hear this message to live a life of worship to live a life of worship is seeing him as he is and responding to the revelation received worship is intentionally removing the things in our lives that get in the way here this worship is not a personality worship is intentionally removing the things in our lives individually that get in the way of our view our connection with God worship is not a
passive heart posture on the outside laying in his feet on the inside aggressively intentionally removing things that stand in the way of our heart before God instead it's a discipline aggressive heart posture we were born into a war everyone say that we were born into a war it's true and it takes backbone to survive let alone thrive we can't approach God with complacency and passivity when it comes to worship and I'm not talking about outward expression here I'm talking about tenacious heart going after God it takes guts it takes time it takes discipline it takes
everything in you to go after God and give him your worship it's not for the weak worshiping is to forgive this is the best best best part of worship the part that I would like to not have to think about but it's the part that every one of us have to face in life till truly worship god is committing to forgive over and over again those around us I just watched the shack I'm kind of late we had a bait we have a baby now five weeks old six weeks old amazing stories it's amazing writer
Moises Johnson and when you have a baby you kind of miss out on life for probably about six months to a year so the movie The Shack comes out I didn't see it but two nights ago I saw it and I just this one scene just stuck with me and I just I just loved it so much and I'm not condoning everything a lot of people have whatever I personally love the movie I thought it was awesome this one scene where Mack is finally able to let go and forgive the guy who killed his daughter
and and he's holding this thing in his hand and it was a symbol any industry but he he lets open just handy let's ladybug going he says in that moment I forgive and then he says to God but I'm still angry in God says of course you are and you might have to do it a thousand times before it gets any easier but forgiving is letting go of his throat it's refusing to hold on to resentment it's a commitment in us to daily pick up our cross and forgive those around us is pushing it out
of our lives when God gets big in us there's no room for anything else and I noticed in my life when God gets smaller and smaller and smaller my time with him gets smaller and smaller and smaller things can creep in but when God is big and me there's no room for anything else and that's what that means you might have to do it a thousand times you might have to blow yourself up you might have to commit to that but when you do that eventually it gets easier because nothing else can survive when God
is present it's pushing it out of our lives when we choose to fill our lives with him there isn't room for anything else worship is committing to daily forgive Matthew 6:14 through 15 says for if you forgive other people when they sin against you your heavenly Father will also forgive you but if you do not forgive others their sins your father will not forgive your sins now this is so cut-and-dry I wish there was more add-ons to this verse it says if we do not forgive those around us God doesn't forgive us where does that
where do we lose this this is one of those verses you put in your car on your dashboard that just there everyday for you to see if we do not forgive others God will not forgive us it doesn't matter what we do it doesn't matter how amazingly our it doesn't matter all the great things we do for God it's simple if someone does something to me wrong and they will and I will do something wrong to others if we do not learn to commit to forgive to letting go of the throat of others our worship
is pointless in fact our on this earth are pointless as harsh as that sounds proverbs 1410 says don't expect anyone to fully understand both the bitterness and the joys of all you experience in your life I was driving in my truck one day and I felt like the Lord said this to me like almost out loud Brian don't expect anyone else to fully understand the circumstance the the the issue is how everything you know like everyone in this room sees live through a different lens and that's the beauty but it also can be sad it
also can be hard because we always go if that person only knew or or the reason that person did this is because of this or if that person could just get a clue and understand why I said what I said they wouldn't have an issue in the first you know so you know where I'm going don't expect people to get you the both the bitterness and the joys of all you experience in your life there's an element of just letting go letting go and let God go to battle for you problem is we want instant
gratification we want instant revenge but the beautiful thing in God I remember this thing in my life where I was like I wanted like God to just come through and be like see he was right and I got to the point where my life where I didn't care anymore and then God did that and I'm like that's just great isn't that fun but gets how God works the ones whom God approves are those who remain the ones who got approves are those whose hearts remain pure in spite of whatever your circumstances worship is surrounding your
plans for his proverbs 19 verse 21 says a person may have many ideas concerning God's plan for his life but only the design of God's purpose will succeed in the end only the design of his purpose for your life is the one that's gonna bear fruit and succeed in the end only the one that he has for your life is gonna bear fruit in the end allow him to direct your steps to find your lane find your lane in Jesus we've heard that a lot stay in your lane find your lane and stay in your
lane right we hear that all the time but it's true allowed God to direct your steps to put you in that Lane they've actually done a study with traffic in the cities you're in a traffic jam and you can raise your hand how many you are the people that try to Zig zig zag for the traffic to try to get ahead raise your hand okay you are the reason the traffic Jim is 30% longer of a wait they say they did a study they actually said if you would just stay in your lane everyone it
would reduce 30% of the time it takes to get through a traffic Jim because just in life when we zig zag we're trying to get around people are trying to get to our destination fast and doing all these things we're not only cutting people off but we're causing everyone around us to be stalled and we're delaying the process of God we're delaying the destination and God sits back and he's like if there's a part in this movie to that I love it's like when Mac tries to walk on the water without Jesus and he can't
do it and do you that says how about we stick together and and so they stick together and then they can walk in the water whenever we go this way because we're like I think it's a shortcut there are no shortcuts in God everyone say that there are no shortcuts in God first Corinthians 12 and the passion Bible footnotes says every believer should be content with a place within the body God has placed him or her and God is pleased when we serve Him with joy in every activity or ministry that we engage in for
the sake of the body verse 13 B of 12 chapter 12 says whether we are Jews or non-jews oppressed or free we are privileged privileged privileged we are privileged to drink deeply of the same Holy Spirit we have we all have access to the same spirit the same spirit that will lead us without dead ends the Holy Spirit will not lead you into a dead end and a lot of times we have fear in obeying we have fear and following him because we've been let down before and we have this thing where we're like that
doesn't make sense so I'm nervous because I feel like I'm gonna be let down or it's gonna lead me to the dead end God will not lead you through a spirit to a dead end that's a promise we will fail time after time if we try and live a life of worship without learning to follow the spirits leading he keeps us from things we can't handle because he is gracious and always good he knows what we can handle and what we can't we get ourselves into a lot of trouble when we try and live life
without him the pursuit of following him is trial and error it's learning to hear his voice it's learning if he says right and you do it and you realized that was God we're on tour in Asia and I remember - flying there I was getting like felt like some downloads and I got a name of this girl and some stuff and I just thought I've got I just have to step off a cliff in the meeting tonight and I'm just gonna go for it sooner later you just get tired of I need to learn what
the voice of God feels like I need to learn what it sounds like and so I just stepped out and I did it and it was like that moment like and luckily God really helped a lot of Ashley's in the room and and it was awesome but I remember I got some other names in a different kind of way and I wasn't sure about it but I learned in none of those names were right but I remember that one name I was half asleep and it's like it kind of like came to me and when
I wasn't even trying and so you we gotta learn what it's like to hear his voice and everyone is different in this room we're all different so we hear different but a pursuit a commitment to hear his voice that will save your life God will never put you in over your head we often think of we often think that it's in the acts or moments that we worship but really it's our lives from start to finish that we worship so what can we do practically to help set ourselves up to live a life of worship
and for me my life completely changed and I've shared this a lot in our group but I believe we commit daily to the discipline of reading his word not just reading the Bible but reading with the Holy Spirit right next to you or better yet inside of you reading is where it's allowing him to enlighten to light up the word the Holy Spirit will highlight exactly what we need he'll highlight what you need for your day your week your month in your year and for your life that is his promise Psalms Knight 119 verse 105
says your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path Psalms 119 9 through 11 says how can a young man cleanse his way by taking heed according to your word with my whole heart I've sought you O let me not wander from your Commandments your word I have hidden in my heart that I may not sin against you that's saying that I may not sin against you as is that I may live a life of worship before you the author is saying I have set myself up to live a
life of worship by hiding your word in my heart by reading by hearing by believing and living what your word says is how I keep myself pure before you every one of us have an opportunity in life to set ourselves up for success for when we need to make a big decision for when trials come from when temptations come if the God in us is big enough you will get through every trial and it's by putting yourself in the word memorizing the word allowing the Holy Spirit to shed light on the scripture because when we
do that he will give us what we need a set aside time God in his word this is one thing that is helping more than anything a simple devotion to him not complicated I think we complicate it way too much a simple devotion to him my time given to him is worship it makes him happy it makes me happy and it makes my family happy that's what helped me get through the crash two years ago that's what will set you up for a life of success in God committing to an enduring life of devotions is
our armor against the weight of the world for the things of this world will grow dim when we daily gain his perspective when we can view life through the god lens the cares of this world are all put in their proper place years ago I got a tattoo so this is a tattoo right big fat cross nothing's harder than the cross dad jokes but underneath this cross was a little tiny tattoo about the size of a quarter it's my first tattoo I was 18 in and was a cross and was on fire I don't know
why but it had a purple banner around it yes with a Bible verse Psalm 73 and I covered it up because it was a girly tattoo I'm not a girl I'm a guy so I got a different tattoo Psalm 73 says and I love this part because I think for me in my life even right now it's just an anchor it says my foot had almost slipped until until I came into your presence my foot had almost slipped until I came into your presence when we behold God it all makes sense again when we renew
our minds in his word that is when we can start to see things as they really are his reality is not of this world but is the supreme and only reality that matters we must have a relationship with him in order to see in the dark because living in this world right now is like living in the dark his word is our map and his Spirit is our guide and it is everything in all we have my dad says when we embrace the lordship of Jesus we believe what he says in his word more than
what we think we come under his lordship when we believe John Bevere says when we hung we must hunger for a realization revelation in the humility that knows deep down inside there's absolutely no beneficial wisdom knowledge or understanding of any sort outside of God it might seem amazing it might wow your ears in your mind your intellect but there is no beneficial wisdom knowledge or understanding of any sort outside of God now God will use people of all shapes and sizes Christian or not to speak his word but if it is outside of God's wisdom
and we need the Holy Spirit to discern that there is no benefit to us it's like eating sugar I love eating sugar I love eating sugar but it is not good for me it goes down good but it's not good for me our time with God gives us a backbone and a strength courage to make the right decisions when it counts time with God sets us tough to live a life life of worship I went through a period for about a year where I was I was getting up in the morning and I was reading
the word and getting with God and like I was getting what I needed for the day because later on in the day I died encounter someone or something and I remember I read the exact same thing that I needed for that that for instance and it was almost weird and then I'd skip a day or two and I'd go through something and of course I wasn't prepared because I didn't have my devotions or I didn't read it and I go through this thing and I'd fail or I'd whatever and then I'd read the next in
be like if I were to read that I would have gotten a heads up for the very thing I went through and it was like a year of my life where literally every single time that happened the Holy Spirit's promise is to prep us prepare us for what we go through in life I don't end with these two things so whether we live or die we make it our lives passion to live our lives pleasing to him for one day we will all be openly revealed before Christ on his throne so that each of us
will be duly recompense for our actions done in life where they're good or worthless second Corinthians 5:9 4:10 we may not be able to control the impact or size of our lives which means your influence how big of a name you get how how your your how powerful your your gifts are how much you wow people you can't control that but we can't control the size of our worship it doesn't matter what stage of life were and we will always have control over our worship over who and what we worship God designed it that way
because so worship God is our eternal call worship is the subject that will never change even in heaven my dad shares a story about my grandpa my grandpa died and a of cancer and he had to preach the next Sunday having to preach after that is intense and so obviously it was one of his best messages of his life because he preached out of standing up and living and pressing through and pre preach this message and he said he said when we get to heaven where there's no pain remorse depression hurt guilt or any of
the circumstance in life our worship is different but when we worship Him in the here and now and we're faced against pain sickness offense all the things in life you know many of you even getting here was a struggle when we when we decide to focus on him and give him our lives regardless of circumstance God stands up and takes notice because in heaven there's no friction in our worship even though the subject doesn't change there's no friction in our worship and it's just like God in that small group looking down and nodding gone that
those are my people and I just want to encourage you to commit to a life of that a life of worship that in the midst of stuff God remains God and you keep your heart surrender so let's pray so Lord we give you our lives we don't know what that means but we take in a day at a time we give you all our worship and if you're here in here today this is the first day of worship school and to avoid unnecessary issues in the next two weeks I think it would be smart for
all of us just to surrender and come MIT these two weeks to God whatever comes and not to reach and grab and try to get into someone else's lame but staying in your lane and learning and going a deep dive I believe everyone in their live needs to have seasons in their life where they go into deep dives with God and maybe even after school's out some of you want to go do things and hang out go to like whatever and some of you are feeling God's saying I want you to stay back I want
you to spend time with me take these two weeks take advantage of these two weeks to do a deep dive with God and let God highlight and pinpoint the things in your life that he wants to pinpoint amen all right right on I thank you guys [Applause]
