today we're going to take a look at 10 really good beginner friendly RC cars in 10 minutes a couple of days ago I posted my ultimate beginner's guide when it comes to RC the purpose of this video was to be a place where lots of people can go to get the answers to a lot of questions that they may have now there's loads of information that you need to know about when getting into the RC hobby after doing that video I did start thinking to myself what would be 10 really good beginner options for people
just starting out in the hobby I did run through five really affordable options towards the end of that video but I think people will benefit from knowing about 10 solid choices when it comes to getting into the hobby so this is going to be 10 beginner friendly RC cars in 10 minutes let's start with number 10 and it has to be the armor Mega boost range now these trucks are actually really cool as a beginner because they allow you to upgrade as your skills progress now essentially these trucks are exactly the same as their 3s
counterparts the only difference is Arma have actually removed the front diff the front drive shafts the Center Drive Shaft they've also given these trucks a bunch of new bodies now the reason they've done this is because they can reduce price which makes these trucks more appealing to beginners now out the box they're not very quick and in my opinion they're not that fun to drive I don't know I just find brush setups in 2024 can be a little bit boring now as your skills progress you can make these things four-wheel drive you can also fit
a cheap brushless system so you do have that flexibility there but the only reason these trucks are at the number 10 spot is because you can get so much more for your money at the number nine spot is the Maverick Quantum 2 flux now Maverick have created a really cool truck here they have made some changes compared to their old models and some of their old trucks are very well known for not being very good but they have definitely done well with this one it's 2 to 3s ready out the box it does offer pretty
good build quality although some people have reported issues with drive shafts and diffs I no longer own mine but when I had it I never really had any major issues I also think the two flux is one of the coolest looking trucks out there especially when it comes to one10 scale monster trucks but due to the reported issues and some quality lacking in places it does find itself at the number nine spot now this doesn't mean it's a bad truck it's still a very solid choice but I do think there are some better options further
up this list at number eight is the team karali Synchro 4 this is a 1/8 scale 4S ready buggy which is actually pretty quick right out the box it offers exceptional team Coral build quality you can even run it on 3s if you don't want to run it on 4S the only issue is finding team karate products across the world is still fairly difficult I know you can't get them in certain locations Parts availability can also be a bit difficult as well but that said it's still a very good beginner friendly option especially if you're
looking for a buggy at the number seven spot we have the armor grum range now you've got the armor Granite grum you've got the tyen grum you've also got the new Mojave grum these trucks are a really good option for people getting into the the hobby the only problem in my opinion is the price I think they should be priced a little bit less than they are I think around the100 Mark the $120 Mark is where armor would have done really well with these trucks I think at the current prices for what they offer I
don't think they're entirely worth it I mean these are very small cars so they're not the most capable now that said they are very durable and being armor you can pretty much get parts anywhere the only issue is some of the upgrades can be really expensive this is a common thing we're seeing with armor lately but don't R out the grum range because they're also incredibly portable you can pretty much throw these things in a backpack and take them anywhere I just wish they offered a little bit more performance out the box so at number
six we have more trucks from armor this time it's the new armor Fury the vortex two wheel drive and of course the Fantastic armor gulan now these trucks are very similar to the 4x2 range the only difference is they're only ever going to be two wheel drive and that's because these things feature an entirely different chassis setup these Budget trucks are obviously aimed at beginners just starting out in the Hobby and you can pick these on10 scale trucks up for a very decent price just like the grum range performance is lacking in certain areas especially
when it comes to top speed these trucks also have old school brush systems and whilst brush systems can be really easy to use for a lot of beginners if you're an adult you will find yourself getting very bored very quickly due to the lack of power just be ready to do a brushless conversion if you do start craving more power all of these trucks are brushless ready out the Box just like the grum range spares can be very expensive especially for us here in the UK a slipper clutch costs around £40 some of the other
parts are crazy expensive as well I would love to put this range of vehicles higher up on the list but due to the price of the parts and the lack of performance they do find themselves at the number six spot at the number five spot we have the mjx 10208 this thing is a 4S ready monster truck and hang on a minute you may be thinking 4S surely this thing can't be a good begin a truck well actually yes it can because just like a lot of trucks you can turn the power down from the
transmitter this allows you to get used to the truck first before you unleash all of that extra power now not only is this truck durable but it's also built incredibly well and even though we're still waiting for the version two which is going to address a lot of the issues that the version one had such as not being wide enough not having enough ride height and not enough shock travel the version one is still a very good option and compared to some of the bigname brands out there you cannot get performance like this for the
same money spares are also pretty easy to come by it looks really cool as well off-road it's also very good but you do notice the lack of ground clearance they are going to address a lot of the issues in the version two so I am looking forward to seeing that but due to how much it costs and the performance that you get out of it it definitely deserves its place at the number five spot this brings us on to number four and of course it has to be the ralo Omni Terminator the ralo Omni Terminator
is a very Solid Truck we all know what ralo build quality is like it's absolutely on point the only problem with the Omni Terminator it's not as big as some of the other trucks I've already mentioned on this list ralo tried to cover this up by saying it's a mini one0 scale the truck is quite clearly a lot smaller than a lot of the competitors out there as you can see here I did do a comparison against some of the most popular one10 scale trucks out there so we know it's not as big but it
does perform really well this thing is very impressive both onroad and off-road out of all of the trucks on this list I would say this is one of the best handling Now You See Me comparing the Omni Terminator to the team associated rival mt10 for a long time the Rival mt10 was one of the best beginner options out there unfortunately Team Associated decided to put the prices up and because of the price increase it's no longer as attractive as it used to be which is why it hasn't actually made it onto this list that said
if you can afford it it's still a very solid Choice ralo have just managed to get it spot on and I think it's one of the best hand trucks I've ever tested on my channel the only reason it is at number four is because of that size issue if this thing was a proper one temp scale truck I actually think it would be very close to the top at number three we have the high box in 16889 or the FTX Tracer now these trucks have been around for years they're tried and tested loads of people
know just how good they are for beginners getting into the hobby they're probably the most durable truck on this list they just take all kinds of abuse if you go for a brushless ver version it will be nice and Powerful out the box being 116th scal they're very easy to transport as well spares are very easy to come by and for a long time these were pretty much the number one go-to beginner friendly RC truck but there are two trucks which I think do offer just that little bit more performance these days at the number
two spot it has to be the mjx 14210 for a long time this was the number one beginner friendly and cheap RC car that you could buy it pretty much ticks every box when it comes to looks performance and durability I mean this thing is 114th scal and it will do 47 mph mjx even include everything you need to get you up and running in the box and when I tested this little car out I actually put it up against a fullsize armor kraton it actually kept up and did really well for the money they're
incredibly hard to beat the only reason they're no longer number one is because there is a truck out there now that does handle a little bit better it's also a little bit quicker and in my opinion and it also looks better now you may have seen in the Ultimate RC beginners guide I did put the hyperg go at the number one spot and on this video unfortunately it's not the number one spot because there is another truck out there now that just takes the crown so this brings us on to number one and of course
it has to be the ralo rog1 also known as The Gladiator this little truck has been around for a few months now and it's proven to be one of the most solid choices when you're just getting into the hobby just like the bigger Terminator further down on this list this truck offers exceptional build quality it is incredibly quick right out the box reaching speeds up to 48 mph and for a truck of this size that is incredible speed the rog1 also handles incredibly well Offroad there's just so much power and it's there when you need
it definitely handles better than the previous car the hyperg go now spares are incredibly important especially when you're just starting out in the hobby you will at some point break your RC car now all those armor trucks which we spoke about earlier which are a long way down on this list you will get parts for those incredibly easy and that's what makes those trucks so appealing I just wish they offered a little bit more performance for the money that is why I have no choice but to place the rog1 at the number one spot because
for the money there isn't really anything else out there that is going to give you this level of performance this level of durability and this level of good looks this is one really really good truck so there you go that was 10 beginner inspired RC cars in 10 minutes all of the cars mentioned in today's video are all fantastic in their own way the rog1 just seems to take every box for a beginner so let me know in the comment section if you agree with my 10 beginner choices in 10 minutes are there any options
you would change drop a comment down below and let me know cheers for watching see you on the next one take care oh yeah
