I've been in this business for a couple of decades and one of the things that I long struggled with was there's a lot of data and people are telling you often that you can use your data and it was always uh a little confusing for me there's lots you can do with projections and backward-looking Analysis and I struggled with it for years particularly in uh marketing leadership sales leadership around assignment of budget for ads around assignment of leads prioritization of leads within team those things really gave me a challenge and when I met my partner
a dozen years ago he introduced me to a concept at the time machine learning and what I learned from machine learning was that machine learning is just really good at taking a whole bunch of data and making predictions and what can you do with those predictions in my case what I wanted to do with those predictions is I wanted to predict outcomes if I did certain things if I took certain actions and now in the world of lead assignment that we've worked our way into it's really important that for me it's one of those things
I always have to remember is what am I actually doing I'm helping our customers make predictions use their data to make predictions and ultimately then they use those predictions to make better decisions so it's a decisionmaking superpower that I've been thrilled to stumble on and now thrilled to work with every day
