are you confused about how you should be spending your time when you are working on your Etsy Shop what's the most profitable thing you can do are you on the right track or are you just spinning your wheels today I'm going to give you what I would do in the next hour to grow my multi-six figure Etsy shop so these are seven things that will give you the strongest Roi on your time and I'm going to show you examples of direct application for each of these things oh foreign [Music] ER of almost seven years I've
sold over 1.4 million dollars in revenue on the platform that's over a million dollars in profit I still have my shop and we do 30 to 40 000 in Revenue each month and now I teach Etsy sellers just like you how to grow their shops to that multi-six figure level if you like videos like this please subscribe and stick around because I put out videos like this every week just for you guys sometimes it's really hard to know what the most profitable way to spend our time is when we're working on our shop we feel
like there's so many things to do but at the same time we don't know where to begin and I'm guessing you're watching this video because you might not be fully satisfied with your Etsy Revenue right now so here are seven things to do in the next hour to grow your shop number one I would look first at who my customer is and I would really ask myself is this the best customer to be selling to so if I am selling to a customer who spends less money money when the stock market is down when inflation
is up or maybe this person has an unstable job then I would consider repositioning and repackaging my listings towards more profitable customer segments and that's with my photos with my listing components and with my SEO so for example let's look at profitable customer segments okay who are we targeting and we want to look at where else they shop so let's say I sell soaps and candles in my Etsy shop and I want to sell to that anthropology customer so anthropology is a store that attracts premium customers they have a cult-like following and let's say we
want to Target their customers so when you identify those successful competitors targeting premium customers we want to look at how they're packaging their items what is the aesthetic and the vibe of their photos what are they using in the background so try to style your photos similarly so also look at how that business packages their listing and what components are in their listings what information matters to their customers an example of this is does that customer really value speed of fulfillment if so make sure that your listing reflects this near the top of the listing
does this person want kind of an all-in-one solution would they be willing to purchase multiple listings from your shop if so then make sure that in your description you are including links to complimentary items does this person really value customization and the ability to add a name or a date to an item make sure that your listings offer customization as an option and for the SEO now what is this person actually typing into search oftentimes I found that what customers are searching for is not actually what sellers are using in their titles so with the
students that I work with a lot of times they are selling items that their ideal profitable customers don't even realize exist yet or maybe they don't realize that they can find this thing on Etsy so one of the strategies we use one is to turn on off-site ads so that any Google searches are directed to their Etsy shop and this captures people who are searching for an item but they don't realize that they can find it on Etsy yet and then we need to align our SEO with the Search terms that they actually are using
to find this item so we need to think about the purpose of that item for the person versus just simply a descriptor of the item so instead of calling your item a very technical term we're going to use a more general term that really describes the purpose of the item for that end user so I see this all the time with digital print shops where they title the painting something that means something to them sometimes they even have a number or a SKU assigned to that painting in the title so they might call a print
that is of a house on a hill in an orchard The Orchard House or something like that but really they should be calling that housewarming gift painting or new house gift so we need to think about what the customer is actually typing in not what we are just personally calling that item because it may not mean anything to that customer so if after looking at my product mix if I am not aligning with profitable customer segments one thing I would do in this hour is come up with two new product ideas two tests that each
align with profitable customer segments maybe it's the same profitable cost summer segment maybe it's not it really doesn't matter but I would come up with two new listing ideas the next thing I would do is repackage my listings that are dead weight the ones that are not selling that are not getting any views any favorites any love so I would give them different packaging and different marketing for another shot at sales and I would be using listing stats to know exactly why they are not working in the way that they are this is exactly what
I cover in module 6 of my program how to know what is wrong with your shop on the micro level which is the listing level so an example of this you know I was selling something in the wedding category and in my SEO I use the words Dusty pink to describe this thing I had it listed as Dusty pink for months and it was not selling so to repackage this I tested a new listing photo that instead of showing just the item itself I actually showed the utility of the item and then I repackaged it
with the words matte rose gold instead of Dusty pink in etsy's wedding Market this did so much better and within 30 days it started selling and I've gotten to the point where I've now sold through almost ten thousand dollars in inventory of this one item so I want to show you an example of how to do this this is a very small shop only 94 sales and it is a wool felted soap body scrubber they have a few scents quantities available now let's say that people don't realize that wool felted soap exists so they're calling
it wool felted soap maybe people are not typing this in woolies maybe people don't realize what woolies are maybe the person who would be the perfect customer for this doesn't know what a woolly is so let's get this in front of different profitable customer segments who might not realize this exists yet so what I would do is repackage the listing perhaps do something to show the utility of this a bit more you might want to do something where it's wet and it's showing you know some bubbles lathering up or something like that it says as
you use it the suds come through so you definitely want a video of that here and I might call it something like handmade soap natural soap sensitive skin soap body soap soap gift box you could do self-care gift you could do so many different long tail cures that get this in front of different customers you could do housewarming gift how would our bathroom soap you could do gift for women you could do bridesmaid gift basket you could do so many different things really it's about identifying the utility of this among profitable customer segments and repackaging
it in that way also to add value to the item which is showing the utility of it if people are not familiar with this exact product and how it works so the third thing I would do in the next hour to drive sales is drop 24 hour long sales on all my listings that have add to carts if it's digital I would go at least 30 to 50 off if not more and if it's a physical product I would probably be okay with cutting my margin in half so I would do these 24 hour sales
three days in a row and what this does is it gives you the countdown timer on your listing and search results so it creates scarcity with your customers so we do it for three days because on the first day you're able to kind of jump start things get some momentum going and one day really is not enough data to learn about our customers so I would do these 24-hour sales three days in a Row the fourth thing I would do in the next hour to drive sales is that I would duplicate my top selling listing
across five different listings each with their own unique packaging and marketing to Target new profitable customer segments so I do this with my top seller so here is an example of a Montessori reading blocks words flash card toy it's a best seller so what I would do let's say this was my best seller in my shop I would duplicate this listing five different times I would change out the main listing photo in each of those so this might be one of my listing photos I don't know about that one I might do this one this
one for sure this is a good one I would have each of these listing photos be the main listing photo on those separate listings and then I would repackage it each listing with brand new SEO let's say this one is being marketed as a travel toy set so car activity airplane activity for kids reading activity kindergarten travel activity toddler travel activity and I would also do preschool travel activity and then maybe the next listing the duplicate one I would Target the Montessori home daycare so I would do Montessori home daycare toy Montessori learning tool Montessori
development toy Montessori reading tool Montessori School toy gift for Montessori teacher things like that maybe the next one I would Target as maybe like kindergarten preparation activities so kindergarten preparation flash cards first year of school preparation pre-kindergarten learning tools maybe homeschool that could be another set of long tail keywords so Montessori homeschool activity homeschool activity for Montessori mom reading homeschool activity spelling homeschool activity letter homeschool activity you could go so many different directions with us but I would basically retarget each of those five listings of my best seller towards different sets of until keywords the
next thing I would do is execute the Facebook groups strategy across 10 to 15 warm leads so out of all our social media platforms Facebook is where you will get to the warmest leads the people who are most ready to buy so we're not paying for ads we're not asking our friends or family to buy anything this is all within Facebook groups you don't even need a business account or a business Facebook page I have a student who is currently driving 65 percent of her traffic with this strategy this strategy is how I got to
ten thousand dollars a month by my fourth month on Etsy it was only Facebook the next thing that will give you the biggest Roi on your time is to raise your prices 10 on all of your market leader listings so this is where you are ranking on the first page of organic search you are likely already getting daily sales on this item so this is one of the benefits of pushing through the sprinting phase of your business and getting to the marathon phase you're now able to pull levers to drive profitability and price is one
of those levers so we are going to test the pricing resiliency of our customers and what you might notice in this phase is that you raise your prices and your customers Buy more so to test pricing resiliency we want to just raise things 10 at a time we don't want to get too crazy here and the final thing for the biggest return on investment of your time is to check your listings on mobile so I would go on to the Etsy app as well as the web browser on my phone and I would see how
my listings are looking in search you want to make sure that your listings are clear that what you're selling is very obvious from the photos and if they're not I would zoom in on those photos just crop them a little bit tighter and adjust the fonts to either make them more bold or add some more contrast with color if you are using any word overlays on your listing photos so here I am looking up homeschool printables on Etsy so we're just going to go through our search results and see some examples of how things are
stacking up so here this one it's an ad printable homeschool planner it's on the left in the middle here it says 11 pages and then included is cut off well that doesn't look that great on mobile looks like four pages it looks totally you know messed up here so what I would do is change that listing photo out 100 make 11 pages really big and bold I would say instant download instead of digital download instant makes that a positive thing digital download is neutral instant download is a positive okay homeschool planner this one on the
left it looks like a lot of sheets in there but what is really included so here the one to the right of it says 57 pack instant download the one on the left looks like a lot of content but what is really included it's only two dollars hmm what's what's the value being offered here so communicate the value pack value into the listing photo add in the number of worksheets that's included science experiment bundle okay well that looks great the font is very bold it's easy to understand what you're getting but 23. what are you
actually getting there I would 100 add in the number of activities so now we're looking at things that are not on the first page of search what are we getting here okay minimal homeschool blank first of all you cannot read what the wording says on here it's not very legible there's no real clear understanding of what you're getting in there so on search results no one's going to want to buy that and they're spending money promoting that right now through ads which is unfortunately going to be a waste of of money so I would definitely
after looking at your listings on mobile look at what needs to be tweaked how you can pack more value into your listing photo in a way that is legible for mobile users so I challenge you in the next hour to implement these seven things for the biggest Roi on your time if you are interested in more profitable action steps definitely subscribe to this Channel and if you're interested in getting help directly from me one-on-one please reach out you can find me on Instagram at Dylan jaros or you can always email me team dylanjars.com alright I'll
