"Denise," He said, "I have brought you here to show you the reality of the battle that rages around my children. Every principality, every power, every ruler of darkness must bow before the name of Jesus. Your assignment against me and my loved ones is terminated by the blood of the Lamb.

He revealed that when we truly understand that His name represents all of His authority, all of His victory over death and hell, and all of His present power, that name becomes like a spiritual thunderbolt that stops demonic forces in their tracks. He showed me a vision of my own life, times when anxiety and fear had gripped me. I saw how demons had taken advantage of my moments of weakness, but I also saw how different things could have been if I had understood the authority I had in Jesus' name.

It was like watching two different versions of my past - one where I struggled alone, and another where I stood firm in His authority. "My name," He communicated to my spirit, "is not a magic word. It's a declaration of authority.

When you speak it, you're invoking all that I am - the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the One who defeated death and hell. This is why demons tremble at my name. They remember their defeat at the cross.
