People have questions about the right way to wash clothes in the washer and the best way to get rid of stains. And that's the topic of today's video. I'll tell you how to use your washing machine in the most efficient way.
I'm Flávia and this is my social media and you're watching "A Dica do Dia". [music] The first thing to take into account is the washing machine capacity. This one is a regular capacity washer with 16Kg.
Some are 8Kg or 10Kg. You need to know your machine's capacity and choose the best one that meets your needs when you buy it. Then you need to know how much laundry weight you're putting in the machine.
There are some weight tables that tell you how much each item of clothing weighs and I'll put one of those tables in the description below. There are some steps to wash your clothes. The first step is to check every item and see if there are heavy stains before putting the clothes in the washer.
You need to clean every stain before putting the clothes in the washer. Every type of stain has a different way to clean it. If it's a bloodstain, you need to use hydrogen peroxide to clean it.
If it's a grease stain, you can use some baby powder. Most stains are removed using simple products like coconut soap or detergent. Some items of clothing require you to let soaking in the sun with soap and water for two hours to remove the stains.
You can do that in a home or apartment. It's important to have some balance between the clothes you put in the washer. Don't put all the clothing on one side, distribute the weight and spread it evenly especially if your washing machine opens at the top like this one.
If your washing machine has a door in the front, you don't need to balance it out because it'll do that on its own when it starts spinning. After putting all the clothes in, you need to fill the washer with soap, softener, etc. You can even put a certain amount of vinegar if you don't have any softener.
You need to put the right amount of product and don't use too much just because you want more bubbles or because you think it'll wash better. You'll be wasting product and it can create crusts in your machine. So use the right amount of product and set the right water level.
The best water level setting to use is the automatic one that'll make the washing machine work more efficiently and you won't waste too much water. If you don't have an automatic setting, you need to understand what's the best water level setting to wash your laundry. If you use a water level and it wastes too much water, try another setting next time.
How many times a week do you do laundry? Comment down below because I want to know. You also need to choose the right cycle depending on how much laundry you're doing and each cycle has its specifications to wash the clothes more efficiently.
If your clothes aren't too dirty you can use the quick-wash cycle. There's a specific cycle for sheets and towels and you need to set the right cycle for each item of your laundry. Then you just turn the machine on and let it work.
When the washing is done, you need to let the lid open so the washer can dry while you clean the dispensers and filters that every washing machine has. This filter needs to be cleaned frequently so your washing machine can work properly. Don't forget to also clean the washer externally if it's too dirty.
The only product you can use to clean the washer is a mild detergent. You also need to remember to clean the inside of the washing machine from time to time or you can use the machine to self-clean. I'll leave a link to a video teaching you how to clean the inside of the washer and also good tips on how to easily hang your clothes properly.
