[laughter] Ryan looks cute as [ __ ] What a good boy because [music] Conor is going to dog walk him, huh? All right, so bet on it. You guys, everybody that think Conor is going to beat me, oh, he's streaming, he's doing this, he's doing that.
Like you said with Barios, [music] if you think he's going to beat me, please bet the money. Guess what? I'm going to collect every amount of it.
That part and more. Ryan Garcia laughing at Connor Ben's new training video has turned a simple workout clip into another heated moment in their fight buildup. Connor Ben has been looking intense in training as talks around his next fight continue to heat up.
In the gym, he is showing the same pressure, power, and aggression that fans expect from him inside the ring. Hey hey Whether he is hitting the pads, working the heavy bag, or sharpening his movement, Ben looks focused on making a statement. His style is built on coming forward, throwing hard shots, and forcing opponents to fight at his pace.
That is why every training clip gets attention because fans know Ben does not prepare to box safely. He prepares to bring a war. But while Ben is pushing that serious training image, Ryan Garcia has been wilding out in Japan and fans are already reacting to the clips.
Instead of staying quiet while fight talks continue, Ryan is moving around with his usual confidence. flash and unpredictable energy. Some people see it as him enjoying life, while others see it as a sign that he might not be fully focused.
Either way, it keeps his name in the conversation. With the Connor Ben matchup being discussed, every move Ryan makes gets extra attention now. Ben is training like a man ready for war.
While Ryan looks relaxed, flashy, and completely comfortable in the spotlight. That contrast only makes the buildup more interesting. [cheering] Let's go.
[cheering] No. No. Connor Ben saw Ryan's Japan clips and fired back by saying, "Bro, you are getting effed up.
Ryan Garcia. " That reply made the situation even more heated because Ben is clearly not impressed by Ryan's relaxed energy. While Ryan is out in Japan enjoying himself and moving like he is not worried.
Ben is using it as another chance to send a warning. From Ben's side, he wants fans to know that once the fight is made, all the jokes, traveling and flexing will not matter. He is coming to hurt Ryan and make a statement.
This back and forth is building the fight perfectly because Ryan looks calm and flashy while Ben sounds locked in and ready for war. Ryan Garcia did not let that slide. He tweeted, "I'm whooping Connor Ben like he stole something.
Don't let the headlines fool you. That tweet shows Ryan is not taking Connor Ben's threats quietly. After Ben replied to Ryan's Japan clips and warned him that he was getting messed up, Ryan came back with his own confident message.
He is basically telling fans not to judge the situation from headlines or clips of him relaxing because when it is time to fight, he believes he will handle Ben badly. This only makes the buildup more personal. Ben is talking like he wants to hurt Ryan, while Ryan is responding like he already knows he has the tools to beat him.
Then Connor Ben fired back again and said, "While you're drunk in Japan running your mouth, I'm grafting. Stop talking. Sign the contract.
" This response made the Ryan Garcia versus Connor Ben tension even more personal. Ryan had been posting from Japan and talking confidently about what he would do to Ben. But Connor quickly turned it around by questioning Ryan's focus.
From Ben's side, he is painting himself as the fighter, putting in real work while Ryan is out enjoying himself and making noise online. The message is simple. If Ryan really believes he can win, then stop tweeting and sign the deal.
With both men now trading direct shots, the buildup is starting to feel like more than just promotion. Connor Ben kept the pressure on when he tweeted, "Coming for you, boy. " That was another direct warning from Ben as the trash talk with Ryan Garcia keeps getting louder.
Ryan has been posting from Japan and firing back with confidence. But Connor is making it clear that he is not interested in only talking online. His message is short, but it sounds serious.
Ben is basically telling Ryan that if the fight gets signed, he is coming with pressure, aggression, and bad intentions. With both fighters now trading personal shots, this matchup is starting to feel more heated by the day. Morning draft, attack the days, make the days count.
Remember, hard work beats talent when talent don't work hard. Keep that bell warm for me. I'm coming for you, boy.
And what? And Ryan is matching that energy in his own way. He is now saying Connor Ben will be going to sleep in six or seven rounds.
And he is talking with the same confidence fans expect from him. While Ben keeps calling him out and telling him to sign the contract, Ryan is moving like he already knows how the fight will end. He believes his speed, timing, and left hook will be too much once Ben starts coming forward.
And in the middle of all this fight talk, Ryan was also seen getting love in the hood in LA, showing that his star power is still real. Fans were around him showing support and that kind of energy only adds to his confidence with Ben training hard and Ryan predicting a knockout. The buildup is getting louder every day.
What round is Conor Ben going to sleep? Oh, he's going to go to sleep in round six or seven. Are you excited?
Of course, man. We're going to beat this. You know that he called you out again today?
Oh, it's insane. He He act like I have a contract, brother. I don't have a contract.
You know, how you been, Ryan? Good. You been training?
Once you're a champion, you got to stay a champion, you know. That's right. But this fight is not only about the two fighters talking.
Oscar de la Hoya has now spoken out about being left out of the Ryan Garcia versus Connor Ben talks involving Zufa and Paramount. Since Ryan is still connected to Golden Boy, Oscar clearly feels he should be part of the conversation if a major fight is being discussed. His comments add another layer of drama to the matchup because now the business side is starting to look messy, too.
Zufa and Paramount may be trying to push the fight forward, but Oscar does not sound happy about being sidelined with Ryan predicting a knockout and Ben telling him to sign the contract. This behind-the-scenes tension could become one of the biggest obstacles before the fight is officially made. Do you have an update on the Ryan Garcia Conor Ben negotiations?
There's there's there's no update. Um I I I have been hearing rumblings and rumors. Nobody has talked to me.
We have obviously the final say because I am Ryan Garcia's promoter. Um, but this is the one thing I can tell you. We work with every promoter out there.
Even if it has to be Dana White and Zufa, you know, as much as I hate it, let's go. Why not? Because the fighters want this fight.
Ryan wants this fight. He wants to fight Connor Ben. Well, yeah.
Hey, let's make it happen. This is this is what boxing is all about. you have to work with the promoters to make these fights happen.
So, I'm not gonna get in the way of it. Um, if that's what Ryan wants, that's what he's gonna get. It's a matter of details.
It's a matter of uh making sure that all parties are happy. Ultimately, there has to be a conversation and whether they like it or not, we're going to maybe be, you know, on stage together a few feet away. Who knows what might happen?
Maybe the press conference will be more exciting than the actual fight because of me and Dana White going at it. Who knows? But I'm ready.
You know me. Yeah. Yeah.
They don't write in your comments right there. I don't know, brother. I If they do, I'm I'm ready for it, man.
Let's go. Okay. Then Shakor Stevenson gave his own view on Connor Ben and he did not hold back.
Shakur made it clear that in his opinion Ben is still levels below him when it comes to boxing skill, experience and overall ring IQ. He believes there is a big difference between being exciting and being elite and he sees himself operating on a much higher level. But at the same time, Shakur did give Ben some credit.
He admitted that Connor has been improving and becoming a better fighter over time. So, while Shakur respects the progress, he still does not see Ben as someone who is on his level right now. What do you think of of Connor Ben?
He just fought prograde. What do you think about Connor Ben as a fighter? As a fighter, he's levels below.
Like levels below. Levels like more than one levels like it ain't even like a close a debate to even talk about. N he's levels below.
But what I will say about Connor Ben, he's very focused and he is getting better. He's not just staying in the same spot. I see him kind of even Frank Smith spoke about them saying Ben has been linked with Zufa boxing while Ryan Garcia is still a huge name in America which makes the business side of the fight very interesting.
Reports around the matchup say Ben is pushing toward a WBC welterweight title opportunity while Ryan has also shown interest in facing him. But the situation is not simple because Golden Boy and Oscar De La Hoya have reportedly raised issues about being left out of talks involving Zufa and Paramount. So while Ben versus Garcia has serious hype, the final hurdle may not be the fighters.
It may be the promoters, contracts, and those who actually control the deal. Be the hardest fight of his career to date. One thing about Connor Ben, you know, as much as I my views may have changed personally, he trains very hard.
He'll give it his all. you know, it's going to be a great fight and it will be an entertaining fight, I'm sure. You know, I think Ryan Garcia, though, arguably is another level to the opponents he's been in in terms of levels.
Um, and but, you know, I I can't write Connor [music] off. I'm not going to sit here and write him off in that fight because he's going to go out there. This changes his life.
He he's had a dream to become the WBC world champion. I I I' I'd anticipate that belt is on the line. I guess there's any differences with Zufa.
Um, but yeah, I wish him all the best. It's a great fight. Meanwhile, Regis Progre also gave his take on them and surprisingly he leaned toward Connor.
He admitted that Ryan is probably the better boxer when it comes to skills, timing, and sharpness, but he sees Ben as the more natural fighter. Regis knows Ben's power from experience because he shared the ring with him and said Connor can really punch. At the same time, he pointed out that Ben needs to disguise his shots better because right now his punches can be easily read.
Still, Regis believes this is a dangerous fight for Ryan, especially if he underestimates Ben. In his eyes, Ben is hungry. He wants that belt, and he is not coming just for a payday.
How do you feel like Conor Ben does in in a fight like that with Ryan? I got Conor Ben. I got Conor Ben.
I know it's a surprising thing. I think Ryan go is a is a better boxer, but Conor Ben is a fighter, bro. Conor Ben is just a a raw fighter.
You know, the thing is Connor Ben has to he has to hide his punches a little more. Conor Ben has a lot of power. We fought at 150 so the gloves was bigger but he has a kind of Ben does have he hit me real hard he has a lot of power but he doesn't hide it that's he doesn't hide it real good you know you can see everything coming he really it's like swinging so when you can see it coming you can kind of brace you can put your hands up you can move a little bit but if he hide his punches it might be a little you know it might be a little better for him but I think Ryan Garcia is a better boxer but sometimes we know Ryan bro Ryan sometimes Ryan looks really good and then sometimes he looks [music] bad and last fight he looked good against um barios But next fight he might look bad.
He might overestimate his underestimate kind of Ben. And sometimes when you do that, you know, because Connor Ben I mean they say he didn't look good his last fight against me. [music] So you know sometimes you underestimate people and cuz it it's bro it's a fight by basis.
You can look at somebody they could look like that fight and they come and get on your next fight. You know cuz it is it's all sometime is your night sometime it's not your night. He might come he wants the belt too.
That's the thing kind of Ben is hungry. He wants that belt and he not just doing it for the money. Obviously, he rich as hell.
Adola and Gareth A. Davies looked at it as a matchup full of drama, business, and risk. They pointed out that Ben has become a very interesting figure in boxing right now.
Almost like a villain in the buildup, especially with all the interviews, promoter talk, and tension around his name. What what we have to get in that fight is Connor Ben [music] looking better than he did in his last performance. a lot better because Ryan Garcia is happy again, healthy again, and looking very dangerous.
There going to be fireworks in the buildup from both men. They both got great presence. They're both box office stars.
What whatever anyone says about Conor Ben, and I'll say it again, he may end up with 50 million in the bank, never having won a title. You know, it's as simple as that. [music] Yeah.
I I I think his um profile now is through the roof. I really do. And I think it's going to get even bigger.
I mean, for him to go to America and he was, you know, he was at I don't know the wrestling event he was at, but he was there. He was ringing side. He was on ESPN.
Um, he he's everywhere in America at the moment. And for him to be mentioned now by Ryan Garcia, I think it's honestly I think whatever he's doing, people might not like it, but he's winning. From their view, Ryan Garcia would still be the favorite because he looks healthy, dangerous, and powerful again.
But the real question is whether Ben can take Ryan's power and put his own pressure on him. They also made it clear that if this is for a world title, the fight should happen at the proper welterweight limit of 147, not some special 150 lb setup with Ryan connected to Golden Boy and Ben linked to Zufa. The business side is also interesting, but one thing is clear.
If this fight gets made, the buildup will be loud, personal, and full of fireworks. probably Connor Ben because Connor's become this kind of villainous figure in you know in the promotional stakes with these interviews that Keith Connelly has been doing in the last couple of weeks and what Eddie's said and what Frank Eddie Hearn and Frank Smith have said about um you know they won't deal with Connor again they won't deal with Connelly again. I I probably more interested in that to see whether [music] whether whether Ben can withstand the the Garcia power and whether he can put anything on Garcia.
[music] Um I still see Garcia as a big favorite in that fight. Bernie Thaw boxer also gave his thoughts on Connor Ben calling out Ryan Garcia after his fight. He looked at the situation from a very honest boxing angle and said politics and money clearly play a big role here.
In Bernie's view, Ben being pushed into the number one position does not fully make sense based on that performance alone. But he also pointed out that this is how boxing works. Now, if a fighter has a big name, brings attention, or has the right connections, opportunities can open fast.
He also mentioned that Ryan Garcia is coming off a loss, but still got a title opportunity, which shows how shaky and political the sport can be. When it comes to the actual fight though, Bernie said he would favor Ryan Garcia over Connor Ben, mainly because Ryan's speed, power, and timing could be a serious problem. At the end of the fight, he calls out Ryan Garcia.
Um, Ryan Garcia talking about he's going to be fighting him in August on a stream. Um, you know, what's your think? What's your thoughts on him, you know, fighting for the WBC title against Ryan Garcia next?
I mean, well, they pushed him up to number one, you know, so it was politics and money, you know, pressed him to number one. Um, I don't think this, uh, win uh warranted a shot at the championship, but, you know, Ryan Garcia coming off a loss and got a shot at the championship. So, uh, boxing is a is a shaky game.
You know, um, I guess if you can quote unquote do numbers or have the right political connections, you know, anything has happened. But um I'll favor Ryan Garcia in the match. And um that's all I got to say about that.
I don't Derek Chisora and Simon Jordan also discussed the clash between Connor Ben and Ryan Garcia and they focused on the expectations around it. Simon Jordan pointed out that Ben has made money and built his name, but also suggested that he has been carefully matched throughout his career. In his view, Ryan Garcia would represent a major step up in competition.
That is where the question becomes serious. Is Ben ready for someone who has operated on a bigger stage with more speed, more reach, and more global attention? Or would this be the fight where people finally see the gap between Ben and the very top level?
A lot of people think that Connor has been wonderfully matched, marvelously matched, made enormous amounts of money, which no one begrudges people making money, but has been wonderfully matched to achieve that. Ryan Garcia, whatever we may or may not think about his performance against Tank Davis is at a level that could possibly expose Connor Ben to what people think [music] is that he's not at this level. What's your view on that?
Do you think he gets exposed in this fight, Connor? Listen, Connor is my pal, so I'm not going to sit here and try to uh mess up his name. Mickey Bay also gave his thoughts on the fight and he described Ryan Garcia as a bit of a wild card, especially when Ryan is at his best.
Bay believes that if Ryan shows up in the right form, he could definitely beat Connor Ben. At the same time, he gave Ben credit for being tough, determined, and always ready to fight. Ben brings heart, pressure, and intensity, and that makes him dangerous against anyone.
But Bay also made it clear that Ben could run into trouble against someone like Garcia. The reason is simple. Ryan has the speed, timing, and power to catch fighters when they are coming forward.
And Ben's aggressive style could put him directly in the danger zone. When asked directly, Bay even admitted he could see a possible knockout win for Garcia, although he still called it a competitive and interesting fight. He also added that this would be a major event with serious attention, especially with rumors of a global streaming platform like Netflix possibly being involved.
Yeah, Ryan Ryan um you know Ryan just like a wild card. You know he he definitely got you know when he had his best. Yeah, I definitely see him beating Conor be but like I said I rather definitely fight one up when you said that you know you think that Ryan beats him.
What what do you see like why do you feel that way? I just think dude will probably run into something. Yeah, I think he'd run into something.
He, you know, he tough. He gonna bring it. But Conor B is a good opponent for him or De because he gonna bring it.
He gonna come to fight. He, you know, he got, he, you know, he got some heart, so he gonna come to fight. He ain't one of them dudes going to just let you get it the easy way.
But I mean, uh, we definitely, you know, definitely destroy him like Yeah. Yeah. So, you you're thinking that Ryan Garcia would knock out Ben?
Yeah, I think it's a possibility. Yo, is it a big is is it a big fight? Connor, Ben, and him.
I There's rumors saying that it could be on Netflix.
