One of the most popular cars of the Japanese brand Subaru is the Subaru Forester 2024. Since its introduction in February 1997, it has gone through six generations. In total , more than five million copies were sold worldwide .
This model is one of the few that can boast of such success, ranking third in sales in Europe. On the eve of 2025, Subaru launched the all-new Forester (sixth generation) on the European market. The new Subaru Forester for the European market is the next step in the evolution of this popular crossover.
While it's broadly identical to the US version inside and out, the European version receives important changes, including an emphasis on the e-Boxer hybrid setup, making it more appealing to eco-friendly and efficiency-conscious consumers. The design of the new generation Subaru Forester remains true to the traditional features of the brand, combining practicality and functionality. The new Forester features a more modern design, with a new grille that is wider and features a gloss black finish.

The Subaru Global Platform (SGP) has been further optimized through the use of a full internal frame structure, increased use of structural adhesives and increased stiffness of the suspension mounting points, resulting in a stiffer, lighter body for improved driving dynamics. Prices for the new Subaru Forester have not yet been announced, but the previous hybrid version of the Forester cost €37,990 in Germany. The new version is expected to remain competitively priced, making it an attractive choice for buyers.
After all, the Subaru Forester in the European market faces competition from the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and Honda CR-V Hybrid, but differs thanks to its e-Boxer hybrid setup and all-wheel drive. Forester offers a balance between performance and economy, targeting improved fuel efficiency compared to the more powerful RAV4 Hybrid. Therefore, taking into account all the features, Subaru Forester has the potential to become one of the leaders in its class on the European market.
