He has many names. The desolate region you call hell. So, does hell really exist?
It exists for some. Long before the existence of evil and long before the first human being inhabited the earth, infinite goodness reigned in the heavens. Everything was perfect.
Each angel radiated enormous light and had incredible respect for their father, the creator of everything. But among all the angels, one stood out above all the others. Lucifer, this Cherubim, was the protector and priest of God's sanctuary in the heavens.
He was the leader of all angels, the greatest in natural ability, strength and wisdom. He was the most honorable and worthy, the brightest star of all. Lucifer had been the firstborn of all creations.
He was the first work that God fashioned with his beautiful hands, the first creation of all, and he delighted in making him his masterpiece. God gave him power like no other angel. He possessed the greatest intelligence, next to God.
Lucifer, who according to Christianity is now Satan, is mentioned very little in the sacred scriptures and, unfortunately, his important story in heaven is not detailed in this video. I will talk in depth about everything the Bible says about Lucifer, what his sin was and why he rebelled against his Creator. We will explore the few biblical excerpts that exist about this being and, to make the video more complete, we will quote several writings that do not belong to the Bible, but which, according to the few mentions in the sacred scriptures about it, could make a lot of sense.
Over time, this being, who was once one of the most respected and admired angels, played an important role in Christianity, as Satan represents evil and eternal suffering. He is considered God's adversary and the main tempter. Their sole aim, as the holy scriptures state, is to seduce those who keep God's commandments and lead them into their own darkness.
Therefore, it is important to know more about this being. But what exactly does the Bible tell us? For this, let's go to the book of Ezekiel, Chapter 28, Verses 12 to 14: "You were perfect in your perfection, full of wisdom and beautiful in appearance.
You were in Eden, the Garden of God, with unparalleled riches. Precious stones adorned you since your birth. " Just in these verses, we can get an idea more or less of what he was like.
Beautiful and perfect, he was the seal of perfection and full of beauty. He had great wisdom. Verse 14 of that same chapter says, "You were an anointed cherub, appointed to cover.
I placed you on the holy mountain of God, walking among shining stones. " In this verse, the Bible tells us that he occupied a great position as a cherub of greatness and protection. Cherubim, considered among the highest in the angelic hierarchy, are placed just after seraphim, who are closest to God to praise Him.
These celestial beings have two pairs of wings. As we can see now, they are responsible for safeguarding the glory of God in the heavens and among the stars. The name cherub derives from "the next" or "the second", suggesting its proximity to the divine.
Although they do not interact directly with human beings, it is believed that their luminous presence can exert a positive influence on us, reminding us of the glory of the Creator. Lucifer, as the most respected, wise and beautiful of the cherubim, is portrayed in these verses. Verse 15 of that same chapter continues this narrative: "You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created.
Until iniquity was found in you. " This verse has a very important meaning, as it explains that God did not create evil, he created something perfect. It was Satan who created evil.
Because of your great trade, you became filled with violence, and therefore I expelled you, profaned, from the mountain of God, and I eliminated you, O protective cherub, from among the burning stones. His heart was filled with pride because of her beauty. You have corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor.
Therefore I threw him to the ground and presented him before the kings so that they could look at you. We can find more in this same Chapter 28 of Ezekiel. Here it is already very clear that Lucifer, Due to his beauty and wisdom, he fueled an insatiable desire for more, which led him to be filled with hatred and evil, resulting in sin.
Despite enjoying his father's respect and love and the admiration of the other angels, he longed for more. Pride grew in his heart, causing him to covet the glory of God. This is important to remember, as later I will cite other texts that, although not part of the Bible, offer additional details about his fall and the celestial war.
In Isaiah, Chapter 14, Verses 12 to 14, it also addresses the fall of Lucifer: "How have you fallen from heaven, O Morning Star, son of the Dawn? How have you been cast down to the earth, you who weakened the nations? You said in your heart : 'I will ascend to heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly, in the recesses of the north I will ascend above the highest clouds and I will become like the Most High'.
" Jesus also saw when Satan fell from heaven, as it is written in Chapter 10, Verse 18, of the book of Luke: "I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning. " As I mentioned earlier, there are very few mentions of Lucifer and his fall, so we can only consider what we have just mentioned, along with all these chapters and verses we have already talked about. So I will refer to a book that offers a more detailed explanation of his fall, although based on the biblical narratives.
The next story is inspired by the Catholic book "History of the Angelic World", written by Father Antônio Fortea. Some details will be presented as described in the author and priest's book, while others will be covered differently. The link to the book will be available in the description for those who wish to read it for themselves.
Now let's get started. Lucifer was the most beautiful and powerful of all the angels. He radiated more light than anyone else.
Her beauty and heavenly power were incomparable. Also known as the Morning Star, Lucifer was brilliant and intelligent, considered the seal of perfection, full of wisdom, and all the angels admired and respected him. Without a doubt, Lucifer was God's most beautiful creation, his masterpiece.
Its splendor was unparalleled since its divine origin. It is unimaginable how so many angels could turn away from God to follow him, regardless of his greatness. Just as the Sun can be eclipsed by the Moon, it seemed to be the center of everything.
His presence inspired a sense of superiority, although it was not true. The fall of Lucifer, the morning luceiro, remains a mystery. How could the most beautiful and faithful angel fall so low?
Its transformation from celestial luminosity to darkness is inexplicable. I still don't understand how the brightest sun in a universe of suns could become what it currently is. Lucifer was the first being created by God to rule over the darkness of the night, which is why he is called the Morning Star.
Since, like the morning star, it is the first to rise in the darkness before dawn, this star was the first to illuminate the night of creation. Then came the other angels in the firmament. Lucifer, whose name translated means "bringer of light", he truly brought light, as he revealed what he was and how he was.
It was pleasant to hear him, because Lucifer was good, he loved God, he had good feelings and he shared them with the rest of the angels. He just wanted to do good for others. We've all heard of him when he was bad, but he wasn't always like that.
He was the best among the angels. His kindness, his authority, his respect, his influence were completely deserved. His mouth spoke of God like no one ever spoke.
Some were thrones, others were princes. Lucifer was the throne among thrones and the prince among princes. If you could understand the magnificence of this creation of God, you would understand why God himself praised it in the Book of Job when mentioning Leviathan.
Even Lucifer's sin was unable to destroy God's work. Even after his fall, he remained powerful. As already mentioned, among the angels there were hierarchies.
Lucifer held the highest position in the hierarchy of those who offered the sacrifice of praise. He was the high priest. His strong, deep voice resounded above the choirs of other angels, honoring God.
Many may wonder how it was possible all these angels fell with Lucifer. For them, understanding a creature was easier than understanding transcendence. The idea of God was obscured by the clouds of transcendence, while a creature was more easily understandable.
Therefore, many angels admired Lucifer beyond what was reasonable, fair and appropriate. However, this didn't affect Lucifer. He remained upright and honest, and they admired him for it.
But there was something they didn't know. God often spoke to him in private, God's fatherly words warned him that he was allowing himself to be carried away by worldly thoughts. It wasn't that he had bad intentions, but he was distracted by matters that took him away from God.
His own intellectual projects began to take up more time than they should have in his communion with God. Gradually, his love cooled, although he had not yet committed any obvious sin. His psychology was changing without him realizing it, it was a deep and subtle transformation.
Even without realizing it, God often warned and rebuked him in his heart. Lucifer oscillated between noble purposes and moments of indifference, where he desired with all his strength to love God more. However, his regard for himself grew more and more, even without sinning.
Even so, God spoke to him frequently, preparing him for a great revelation to the angelic world. This revelation was delayed several times so that Lucifer could grow in humility, as God knew he would face strong challenges. "My son", said God, "the wind and tensions will be very strong, you need to prepare yourself.
" Lucifer said to his father: "No matter the test, I desire to be obedient to your commandments. I do not promise perfection, I only desire fidelity. " He said this with all his heart, from the depths of his being, with sincerity.
Despite all this, despite the countless times the Almighty Father spoke to his heart, despite his great beauty, his great power, Lucifer began to desire more. He wanted more and more. He began to be proud of himself and wanted even greater power than he already had.
He wanted the praise to no longer go to the Father, he wanted to be God. He recognized that his qualities far surpassed the rest of the angels and began to desire the glory that could only belong to the Creator. Lucifer was free, although it cost him, he could overcome his own temptations and be faithful.
Even if he fell, he could finally emerge victorious from the test. Only if Lucifer prevailed would he emerge from the test more obedient, more humble. Even so, his Father postponed the moment of testing again.
God continued to advise him, to offer him more time, because he loved him deeply like a loving father. He believed in the possibility of change. However, the time came when it was crucial to consider not only an angel's personal story, but also the well-being of all others.
And finally, the long-awaited day arrived. Then there was a silence in the heavens, the firmament tilted, and God spoke in a solemn manner. He told the angels that he would create a material universe, he taught how life flourished in it, he said he would create humanity.
This news really moved the angels, they were very happy to hear the Creator announce this great news. God's plan surprised them greatly, it was something they would never have imagined. He then explained that until that moment they worshiped him as God, but now he requested something more challenging: that they worship him in human form.
Jesus Christ would be his name, the person of the Holy Trinity revealing to humanity the mystery that was incomprehensible to angels . God showed Himself to them under the mystery of the Incarnation and said: "Worship under this appearance, worship under these human garments. " It was wonderful to see how the light of light became completely flesh.
It was something incredible. But although millions of angels were happy to see what was happening, one of them couldn't move, couldn't say anything, and just stared at what was happening. His gaze was like an empty well, on his face you could see how everything was falling apart inside him.
Suddenly, a feeling of bitterness filled him. He had not been chosen to receive the hypostatic union. Lucifer allowed sin settled in his heart, letting envy and evil permeate his essence, replacing the love and respect he once had for his Creator with the desire for power.
He thought that he, Lucifer, would have been the most perfect vessel to contain the divinity made creature without ceasing to be God, as God chooses the most imperfect. He thought: "Why does God humiliate me with so many questions and with one strong question that consumes me? " Lucifer, being the only one who did not kneel before God, slowly opened his lips and said this without serious emotion.
His gaze was focused on the Throne of God. He repeated strongly, as if he were a king. The angels who were there couldn't believe what was happening, they couldn't believe that the purest and most beautiful Angel was saying this.
Suddenly, a feeling of bitterness filled him. He had not been chosen to receive the hypostatic union. Lucifer allowed sin to settle in his heart, letting envy and evil permeate his essence, replacing the love and respect he once had for his Creator with the desire for power.
He cried with anger, he couldn't resist, and that's how the great rebellion began. He then began to form a strong army with the angels who followed him and were willing to fight with him. Somehow, the speech he gave with such confidence managed to stick in the minds of many angels.
It was something that invaded their being. Many were confused and felt that Lucifer could be closer to them if they worshiped him. He managed to convince many, who are now known as Fallen Angels.
Before, they were the most beautiful beings in the heavens. God taught them what was right and wrong, truth, nobility, holiness, what was right and wrong, what was perfect and what was not, hope, the joys of heaven and the happiness of following the path that leads to Life. The supreme being spoke with the authority of a master and the sovereignty of a king, and the most surprising thing was what God had mentioned previously: it was just an initial test and now the angels would be called to face new challenges to strengthen their spirits.
The mystery of the Incarnation was not the only challenge. Also revealed was the story of the iniquity that corrupted human beings, those limited and ungrateful beings who rebelled and would even try to kill him. It is incredible and even absurd to receive the greatest test of love and respond with hate.
Suddenly, something changed in many angels, the idea of worshiping a crucified God arose. They said: "We, glorious beings, should kneel before that destroyed body, bloody, covered to the limit with wounds. " The sight of the crucifixion was terrible, it was what made the cup overflow.
Gradually, more and more angels began to say, "Lucifer is right, God cannot ask us to do anything that goes against logic. " Doubt arose, and they began to question themselves: what if God is not truly in God? What if he's just an extremely powerful angel?
What if he's simply Lucifer on a grander scale? The seed of distrust had already been planted in many angelic minds. Gradually, more and more angels fell, including Thrones and Principalities, in rebellion.
Disharmony spread throughout all hierarchies. The power of error could not be underestimated. Among the angels loyal to God, there was one in particular who stood out in all the strife.
Although he was not a superior angel in terms of hierarchy, his strength lay in his love. It was he who kept the flame of fidelity brightest in the worst moments of the battle, when everything seemed darkest, when it seemed that half the angels were on the verge of rebellion. He managed to transmit this flame, he stood out on the path of good, and his faith enlightened many in the darkest moment, in the most terrible hour, when doubts began to spread.
He shouted into the silence, "Who is like God? " Thus he became known as Miguel, the tireless, invincible fighter. Miguel continued to excel as a warrior, the light of his immense faith and love brought enlightenment to many.
Finally, a great battle occurred, with Michael and his angels facing the dragon and his followers, where truth, faith and hope triumphed. Despite Being a lower-ranking angel, Archangel Michael prevailed in the battle, because he always remained by God's side, always maintained his faith, and his Creator accompanied him at all times. This resulted in Lucifer, now Satan, being expelled from heaven with all who followed him, a third of all the angels fell with him, and thus ended this battle in the heavens, where the angel who was once the most perfect and beautiful was expelled, stripped of almost all his attributes, falling into the deepest abyss.
This story is truly incredible, and I hope it was to your liking. Thank you to everyone who has followed me this far. If you liked it, remember to subscribe and leave a like.
