Hello friends and followers of Prayer Storm. Uh this is James Aleron by God's grace. I'm the founder of this ministry.
We've been going uh since 2009. So it's been a few years. Um, I'm just wanting to uh put this video out uh because we recently uh put out a statement, a short statement explaining why uh we had to take uh the video of James Kaya off our public platform.
And so I thought it was good for me to record a video so you can see my face, hear my voice, understand what is going on. I don't expect everyone to uh agree with our decision, but I'm going to explain to you the journey step by step what's happened because often times uh people don't understand the journey that's been going on behind the scenes and the principles that guide our decision making and so I want you to just hear the heart behind what's going on here. Um and everything that's happened so far has been, you know, documented.
There's evidence everywhere, you know, so there's there's nothing to hide really from our uh stance. I want to start by saying we as a ministry have been significantly impacted by the testimony of James Kawha. And I'm not going to underplay that or undermine that at all.
Um, and so we appreciate that many of you seeing that post were disappointed uh and saddened uh about the fact that we took the video off our platform. We have been impacted by the testimony. I have been impacted by the testimony and it was on this platform prayer TV platform that you heard about the testimony.
In fact, it was on this platform that the testimony went viral. Just to make this clear, our intention of recording that testimony was not to be popular or to be viral. I had heard the testimony a few years back uh uh via a connection I had who was in Uganda at a time when James shared that testimony um at a a John Molindi conference.
And so from that I got the testimony. I was impacted by it. And you know some time later I got connected with James Kaya.
And so, um, we brought him over to the UK because I felt it'd be good for our team to hear it and, you know, for us to host him and and to just record the testimony. And just to be clear, the testimony has also been recorded by other people before. We're not the first ones to capture the testimony.
It just so happens that God will have it go viral and explode on this platform. So, we invited James Kawa over uh 2023 if I'm not mistaken in the summer of 2023 and we had an incredible time hosting him. And after that time, in fact, in that time we hosted him, we recorded um a video of his testimony.
And so, I actually edited the video myself, you know, because we have a very small team. And so, you know, I was excited to put it out. I wasn't thinking anything about the video going viral.
In fact, I didn't even have that on my mind at all. I just thought, "Oh, this will be a blessing to people. " In fact, people on our team said, "Oh, break it up into three parts or something like that.
" I thought, "No, I can't be bothered doing that. Let's just put the whole three hours out online because I didn't even think people would sit down to watch a three-hour conversation. " And so, obviously, we put out the video and the rest is history.
Things went viral and, you know, it just went crazy. millions and millions of views and people all over the world uh being revived in their prayer life and being stirred and that is a good thing. I just wanted you to know I believe that is a good thing.
Uh I don't think uh you know um God wasn't working through that. I believe God was working through that testimony in awakening people and this is prayer storm. You see the the the the fruit of the of the testament was that people were stirred to pray and that is why we brought him on because we wanted that's our mission that's part of is one of our core values to stir the body of Christ to a life of prayer and intercession and that's what that testimony achieved and we're very thankful for that.
Now on the back of that testimony, we had him come and minister to our team. Uh again, a a small meeting. It wasn't publicized or anything.
That was towards the end of 2023. And then we recorded the part two, you know, road map to deliverance. Again, that impacted millions of people too.
So, you know, all these things were done with a heart of really wanting to bless the body of Christ, you know, and uh we were very excited for James Kawai as well that the videos were impacting so many people. In fact, I personally helped him put his book on Amazon. I went on there, did all that, tried to tweak things, change things to make sure the book we did what we could because we were excited for more people to be stirred uh to pray.
So this is what really drove us and uh we plan to have a conference with James Gay in March of 2024. So March of last year and we're so excited about this conference and uh at the at that point it was going to be our biggest conference in terms of the interest. If I'm not mistaken we had people register from about 14 nations.
We had about 2,000 people plus register. This is a huge deal for us. And by the way, this ministry, Prayer Storm, is based in Manchester in the UK.
Okay? So, uh, massive conferences focused on prayer and not like a popular thing around here. So, it was a big deal that we were going to be hosting this conference.
And so, this was March of early March of 2024. Well, two weeks to the conference, um, people reached out to me that had some sad news about James they needed to share with me. Um, and initially I thought, well, this could be just anyone.
This, you know, because people could just say anything about anyone. I mean, I'm sure every major preacher somewhere is called a false prophet by someone else. So, you know, people could say anything and I was of that myself.
Oh, you know, whatever. Anyone can say anything. But the same allegations were repeated in a different context by another credible source and it became something that I couldn't really ignore.
I wasn't trying to ignore it. I was really troubled by what I was hearing. Uh, and many of you have been asking, well, why don't you just tell us what the allegations are?
Well, for legal reasons, I can't tell you what the allegation allegations are, but you have to trust me that they're serious enough for us as a ministry to have decided not to have him at the conference uh in in March. So, here's the process of what happened. When I heard those allegations, I was really troubled and I said to the the people that were telling me this, I can't just take this because you're saying it.
I need to be convinced that this is credible. And I was later convinced of the credibility of the of the allegations and more sources, more people were coming to me. And these are not just random people.
And so th this was really heavy. I remember after some of those conversations, I was just shaking. I was so grieved and so sad.
And you know uh the way our ministry is structured is uh we have a leadership team which is made of myself and three other people my wife included uh three other people on our leadership team and then we have a board of trustees. Okay. So our board are kind of like uh accountable to the government.
Now I appreciate many of you watching are in the UK you might be believers in other nations so you don't understand how things work here in the United Kingdom but we are a charitable organization. And prayerstorm is not a church. So our team members are actually part of different churches because our mission as a organization is to stir up prayer in the body of Christ and we do that through various means.
And so that means we work with people across the body of Christ, you know, right here in the UK. And it means we're accountable to the government in a in a particular way in the way we do things here in the UK. Uh so um having traveled around the world to different nations and worked with believers in different spaces in my opinion I believe the charity uh commission which is the body over charities here in the UK uh connected with government I believe that they have such strict and such you know strong guidelines probably more than most nations and people don't understand that we can't just do whatever we want to do.
I mean we can preach the gospel obviously but in terms of finances in terms of uh conduct they're very strict guidelines and uh and and good practice and codes of conduct you know how we should uh carry ourselves as charitable organizations because we're being given public funds and we're accountable for how we use them and as a charity by God's grace we have been transparent and careful accountable in every area of how we function. Okay. Now, you might not know what safeguarding is, uh, but it's a big deal here in the UK.
You can look it up on Google. Just type in safeguarding. I'm sure you find some information.
And so, there are lots of safeguarding things that we have to be conscious of whenever we have events. And so, just put that back of your mind in light of the allegations that came to me. And again, I can't tell you what the allegations are, but they're very serious enough for me to get hold of James.
He was somewhere in the world. I said, "James, we need to have a urgent meet. We need to have an urgent meeting right now.
I'm busy. and we need to speak right now, right? So anyway, we we organized the meeting and by the way, my leadership team and our board of trustees were also really behind this.
They actually said, "James, we need to do this. " So, organized the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to let James know, "Hey, James, these allegations have been brought forward and they're very serious, you know.
" So, James heard the allegations. We had a Zoom meeting. We had this conversation.
Um, and I said to James, in light of these allegations, we're a charitable organization. Therefore, we cannot have you come to the UK. I cannot unhear the things I have heard.
And they're very troubling to me. Very troubling as in my spirit is so un I'm une there's a lot of unease within me. I It's impossible for us to be able to have you and your wife come over for this conference.
So, we're going to have to put a pause on it. And here was my advice to James. I said the right thing to do at this time is to get a third party to come and investigate these things so you can clear your name.
So at this point I was wanting to present to him that look we wanting these allegations not to be true. But because this video has gone viral and millions across the body of Christ globally have been impacted by it. as a platform, as a ministry, we have a responsibility to guard the integrity and the purity of this platform.
And so I think it is right for you, James, for you to get this looked at. Now, many of you will be aware of what's happened at IHOP, you know, and what's happened in different parts of the world where things have been brought forth about leaders and their behavior and it's not been good. And there have been leaders.
These are leaders that have impacted me, impacted us. And we've respected them so much. But then there's been things that have been brought up out about their private lives that have been disappointing to us.
And in most of those case, actually, let me not say most. In some of those cases, for example, the IHOP situation, what was being called for was for a third party organization to investigate what's going on. In other words, separate to the leaders there.
Someone else had to come in to look at what's going on. And then those people looking at what's going on can give a report on their findings and that can help clear the name of any leader that's been falsely accused. Now I leave this ministry prayer Tom.
If accusations come against me, uh, credible accusations from different sources, it's right for me to step aside for another third party person organized because I owe the body of Christ purity from this platform. I fear God, okay? And I'd rather be unpopular and pure than be popular and hold wickedness in my heart or be holding a compromise within myself.
I cannot live that way. So you know I hold my team and my leaders to a high standard to the standard of scripture. We are all under the standard of scripture as in we should submit to scripture.
You know that is our standard. And so I presented this to James saying, "James, this is what you should do. Get a third party organization to investigate this.
" And and I mean, a lot of things happen in between here and there. So um at that point in time, because we wanted to give James time to do what was right, you're right. Okay.
We decided to announce to all the 2,000 plus people that registered for the conference that guys for unforeseen circumstances James Kawia cannot come to the conference anymore but the conference is still going to hold. Now I want you to notice that we didn't at that point announce to them oh there are allegations against James. If our intention was to you know uh you know disgrace him embarrass him and you know pull him down then we would have done it back then.
Our desire was okay let's give James time to do the right thing. We're going to tell people he can't come to the conference for unforeseen circumstances. And at that point what we said to the people was look if you've registered for this conference and you want a refund because we had to book a large venue cost us money.
So you know we put a small ticket price on there it was very minimal said if you've done if you've registered for the conference and you want a refund of your uh ticket then you know uh we'll process your refund. Actually many people did want a refund. So a lot of people asked for a refund and we did that.
Okay. But we still had the conference and we had maybe 30 plus nations come. It was actually an explosion.
God moved in an incredible way and I believe he honored our decision to still carry on with the conference even though James wasn't there and still try to protect him to give him time to do the right thing. Okay. So in that time we just hoped that James would do the right thing and get third party organization to you know investigate and clear his name.
Well James didn't do anything. James didn't even in fact James's response to me towards the end of this process was okay I'm getting my lawyers. I'm getting this.
So he he was getting all these things in place and I'm like well there's not much I can do because James lives in Uganda. I live in the UK. The laws of this land here is different to Uganda.
things are very different. Even the church, the way the church operates in the UK is very different to the way the church operates in Uganda. I'm not trying to say things are perfect here, but in my uh experience, I've noticed people in some parts of the world like Africa, you know, maybe not just say Africa as a whole because that's a blanket statement.
Maybe, you know, some parts don't take some parts of the church, maybe that's a better way to say it. People in some parts of the church in areas of the world don't take transparency, integrity, accountability as seriously as some of us do here in the west. I live as a man of integrity and as a person of purity.
It's I hold it to a high standard because what we're called to is a ministry of priesthood and we can't do that effectively if we're not pure. So this platform has to be pure. I owe you, the viewer who's viewing this platform, purity from this platform.
And people have contacted me saying, "James, because we trust your voice, we're going to listen to that person you brought on. " People say, "James, because we trust that you're, you know, over the years, over the 17 years you've been doing this ministry, you've been, you know, you know, you've been pushing for purity and you've been an example for that. We have come to trust your voice.
So whoever you bring on this platform, we believe that they're going to be good people for us to also listen to as a leader. That's a huge responsibility. So I don't take that lightly at all.
Anyway, so James heard what we had to say. Um but didn't respond in the way we expected him to respond. Now the video was left online for some time.
Okay? I mean this is March of 2024. We only took the video down or when I say take it down, we we took it over our public space in 2025.
In this time, we've been praying. In this time, we've been seeking the Lord. We've been like, Lord, how do we go about this?
Because we're aware that this will have a impact on many of you that have been blessed by this testimony. We have too, just like I said in the beginning, we have also been blessed by this testimony. And so, as time progressed, other allegations came forward to us.
And at this point, James is still not doing what we believe he's meant to do, to address the issues. And again, credible sources are coming to us and telling us things that are out of order for a minister. So, at this point, we're like, you know what?
We cannot keep hosting this interview. Based on what we know and based on the fact that James is not responding the way we have advised him to respond to this, we cannot keep hosting this. For me, it's a it's an issue of integrity.
It's an issue of purity. It's an issue of accountability and transparency. And I believe the body of Christ needs this more than ever.
The video, I don't I can't remember how many views it had by the time we took it of the public public space. Probably about 9 million views plus. It was something crazy.
a threehour video having nine plus minimum people sit down to watch the whole thing that is a big deal and that comes with a great deal of responsibility that I don't take lightly at all. So when I sense that something is out of order the right thing to do is to pull the video out of the public domain so that James and others can do the right thing. Okay.
So that's why we ended up taking the video offline. And obviously there's been a storm online and people saying this, people saying that, people upset, we prayed on them. Why did you listen?
We did what we believe the Lord would have us do. One day we are all going to stand before the Lord and give an account. I am going to stand before the Lord and give an account.
And I know on that day, I'm going to give an account for what I know the Lord wanted me to do about this video. Wouldn't it be sad if I knew the Lord wanted me to take it down, but I kept it up because I wanted to please people. No, that that's not good.
And so, this is a call for accountability and transparency and integrity in the body of Christ, especially with leaders. The fact that someone's anointing has impacted you does not mean God is approving their behavior. The anointing of God on your life is not a sign of his approval of your behavior.
Purity is of utmost priority in the heart of God. And it's utmost priority in our hearts as well. And so we put out this statement which I'm going to read to you um as I kind of come to a close now.
Um, we understand that there has been some confusion about the withdrawal of James Kawawaii's videos from prayers platform. We therefore want to update our friends and followers on this issue. Some years ago, we heard about James Kawa through a trusted connection.
In July of 2023, we invited him to minister to our team where we recorded a video interview of his testimony. Besides, we hosted him in public in open public attended meetings for three evenings in a row. This was done in good faith and we shared his videos to encourage the body of Christ as we have always done with our guests and that is true that we shared his video to encourage you all and it clearly did that.
So us taking the video down is not in any way demeaning the fact that you are encouraged and you were stirred to pray. we are dealing with character and order and how things should be handled. Okay, I'm gonna stop talking and read on.
Um, in February of 20124, again, this is what I said. Prestorm was made aware of some serious allegations relating to his personal conduct in his home country of Uganda. We immediately made further inquiries and put those concerns to James Kawha verbally and in writing.
In light of the concerns we made, sorry, in light of the concerns, we made the decision to not have James Kawa speak at our March 2024 conference. I just want to comment on that because I said something about that earlier already. That was not an easy decision to make.
That was a difficult challenging time for myself and my team. And I want you to put yourself in our shoes. Two weeks to go to the conference having to go through that.
It was it was pretty intense and I believe we did what we could do with the information we had. We did what was right to do with the information we had at the time. Okay.
Um I said this already at the time we didn't say anything publicly as we wanted to give James a chance to respond. Okay. Despite the passage of time i.
e. a year plus we have not received a satis satisfactory response. People have said, "Well, what do you mean by satisfactory satisfactory response?
" Well, what we mean by that is what I just said to you. A third party organization coming in, investigate these things. That is what a leader who wants to be transparent should do.
That's just the right thing to do. That's what I would do. That's what I expect of any leader who has all these accusations that are credible coming against them.
It's the right thing to do. Have you investigated, clear your name. That's the right thing to do.
Okay. So um we didn't get a satisfactory response from James Kquire or his team in addressing the issues highlighted in the allegations conve conveyed to praytorm. As a result several weeks ago Preytorm reached the decision to withdraw his videos from our platform.
Whilst there is no doubt that many have been impacted by his testimony. Prairtorm currently has no ongoing relationship with him or his ministry and cannot therefore in good faith continue hosting and sharing his content. And that is the honest truth.
If you're going to be on our platform, you have to share our convictions. We're all about transparency, accountability, holiness. So because of the magnitude of the allegations that have been presented to us, I think it's only right to do what we have done if there has been no response on James's end to address the things that have been brought forward.
Here at prayertorm, we sincerely apologize for the hurt and conf confusion this may have caused to our friends and followers and we remain committed to mobilize a prayer movement and equipping believers to be increasingly fervent and strategic in intercession. Now, if you notice the tone and the flow of the statement, there was nothing in there that was condemning James. We're not trying to be horrible.
We're doing what we believe is the right thing to do. And James is probably watching this video and he knows the truth and knows exactly the process we have been through. So I want the body of Christ globally that has been you know exposed to this testimony to hear the heart of prayer and my heart because we hosted him on this platform.
So, it's only right that if we are feeling uncomfortable about things going on in this man's ministry and life that we should come to you and say, "Hey, we're not sure about what's going on there. " So, we need to let you know that we can't promote him anymore or we can't allow his content to be on this platform. believers that may not have the discernment or may struggle or may just trust prayer storm and go and listen to that guy over there or go and listen to the other person over here and they don't know that we've kind of you know we're not comfortable with that.
So I think we have a responsibility to believers to let them know what's really going on and not try to hide things. Okay? And think of it the other way.
If we say nothing, because some of you are like, "Well, just say nothing and just let it slide and just move on. Leave the video up there. " If we say nothing, knowing what we know, first off, I have the fear of God in me.
There's no way I can do that because I know I'm going to have to give an account. Okay? Millions of you are impacted by that.
I have to give an account. So, if we say nothing and a few years down the line, these allegations come to light and it's in the open and all these things start to swirl around, you know, and people talking about it. What are you going to say about us?
Oh, you guys knew about this all along and you just swept it under the carpet. I mean that that that's really what's going to happen. So, we're in a situation where if we are transparent, people are upset.
If we're not transparent, we're also going to be getting in trouble. Even with the charity commission right here in the UK, how can we know these kind of things and still act like everything is okay? No, no, no.
Not me. Ministry flows from the heart. And when the heart is troubled and is not at peace and things are not okay, ministry cannot really flow.
And so we I and this ministry, we can't do ministry with James Kawai anymore at this point because of the things we know and the lack of response on his path. Okay. So at that I think I'm going to stop.
Uh and I hope this has brought clarity to you and help you understand our heart motive uh passion and values as to why we've done what we've done. Um pray. This is prayer storm.
I want to encourage you to pray. Our goal is not to try to bring disunityity. No, no, no.
We're not into trying to bash anyone. We're just trying to encourage you to be discerning and pray. and let's live a life that's honoring to the Lord in purity, transparency, integrity.
One day you are going to stand before him and give an account. Some of you are typing things, sending nasty comments here and there and all that stuff. You're going to give an account for every word you type.
Every word you spoke, you're going to give an account. So, be careful what you say if you don't know the details of what's really going on. Just be careful and pray.
That's the best thing you can do right now. Pray for James. Pray for us.
Pray for this situation. And pray for the body of Christ that truly leaders be more accountable, transparent, walk in purity. God bless you.
