if you're sick and tired of arthritis pain in your knee joints or indeed in any other joint then pay careful attention to this this video until the end and i'm going to explain to you how there's a specific way of eating that can actually improve your arthritis pain and stiffness drastically i'm dr ken berry a family physician let's talk about the diet that causes arthritis pain and stiffness and what you can do about it there's lots of research in the medical literature showing that there's a direct link between hyperinsulinemia and progressive worsening arthritis pain and
stiffness in all the joints in your body especially in your knee the problem is is that most doctors who manage metabolic syndrome pre-diabetes type 2 diabetes for you are not aware of this research and the doctors who are aware of this research orthopedic surgeons they get paid to do surgery so they're not that keen on telling you hey if you would just eat a diet that would return your insulin levels to normal your knee arthritis would get better maybe even go completely away insulin has hundreds of functions in your body but when your insulin level
is chronically too high it leads directly to a worsening of the process called autophagy it causes increased inflammation not only in your chondrocytes but in the synovial production cells inside your knee joint or indeed any joint in your body when you eat a diet that's too high and carbohydrates for you that's going to cause a blood sugar spike that blood sugar spike is going to cause an insulin spike so if you're eating three high carbohydrate meals a day with three high carbohydrate snacks in between then your insulin level is going to be chronically high all
day every day this is going to lead to a distinct direct worsening of arthritis in any joint in your body the most elegant way to reverse this is not to have surgery and chop out your knee joint and not to take a medication that blocks the insulin effect at the joint level it's to eat a lower carbohydrate diet that's going to return your blood sugar to low normal which in turn is going to return your insulin level to low normal and thus is going to greatly improve the inflammation and the inappropriate metabolic processes going on
inside your joint right now as we speak i blew out my acl ligament in my right knee between high school and college goofing around at the local park dunking a basketball and during my 30s and early 40s i had severe stiffness and pain every day and that day and i fully expected even as a doctor to have that arthritis pain for the rest of my life until eventually i had my knee joint chopped out and replaced with an artificial meat but when i adopted a very low carbohydrate diet one of the many benefits i noticed
within weeks was that my arthritis pain in my knee was gone and indeed when i first started recommending a very low carbohydrate diet to my patients one of the most common things they reported back to me is hey doc my knee pain it's so much better now i'm quite certain that you've never heard this from your doctor and so i put a research study in the show notes down below and if you really want to dig into this then go to the citation list in that research study there's there's dozens there's scores of studies showing
that there's a direct link between hyperinsulinemia some doctors will call this insulin resistance and the formation and worsening of arthritis in your joints doctors will often say things like well you just wore out your joints standing on it jumping on it doing this repetitive motion that's idiotic the human body is designed to recover to renew to heal as are your joints only in a setting of hyperinsulinemia are your joints unable to renew and heal if you know someone who suffers every day from knee arthritis or some other arthritis please consider sharing this video with them
it could literally change their life this is dr berry i'll see you next time
