This guy was summoned and then kicked out of human society for being too ugly to be a hero. The goddess wanted him to rot in the wasteland, but he became the founding king of a powerful nation instead. How did this loser become a king? Let's find out. The story kicks off with a boy named Masumi Makoto whose luck with being sent to another world is so bad it almost feels personal. Instead of getting a goddess cheering for him And a herm of cute adventurers, he ends up in the bargain bin version of the isekai experience,
mostly because he isn't blessed with that signature protagonist face. One completely normal day, Makoto goes to school, comes home, and is just starting to unwind when suddenly, bam, he's summoned by the moon god, Sukuyomi. Makoto instantly recognizes him from an old legend, and Sukuyomi calmly explains that Makoto needs to sign a contract and head off to Another world, just like his parents once did. We then learn that Makoto's parents were originally from another world and had come to Japan to escape danger. But while striking a deal with the goddess, they promised their most precious possession
in return. Makoto quickly realizes they meant him and that if he refuses, one of his sisters will end up taken instead. So, he reluctantly agrees to go. After the contract is sealed, Sukuyomi grants Makoto as much Power as he can manage and even promises to erase Makoto's browser history. Truly the kindness of gods. Makoto is then sent to the new world, but not before being warned that the goddess he's about to meet is a whole problem on her own. Makoto appears before the goddess, and she's instantly horrified just by looking at him. She mocks him
for not being attractive enough to be her hero, saying she's already picked someone else more worthy. So, she tosses Makoto to The far edge of the world where the low tier creatures live. But because she's obligated to grant him something, she generously gives him the ability to understand every language except human. With that, the goddess yeetss Makoto into the abyss where Tukuryomi appears again to inform him that since the goddess rejected him, he's basically free to do whatever he wants now. He also tells Makoto that because his old life was rough, the power he has
here Will be far greater. After sharing these words, Sukuyomi fades away, hoping they'll meet again someday. Makoto keeps plummeting until he finally crashes into a wasteland with no sign of life anywhere. He wanders for three full days without finding anything. Growing lonely and a little miserable until he suddenly hears a distant girl's voice calling for help. He sprints toward the sound and finds a pig-like girl cornered by a two-headed monster. Makoto jumps in to Save her, and when he charges forward with full force, he manages to decapitate the monster in one strike, shocking even himself.
The pig girl is terrified and tries to run away, but Makoto stops her and introduces himself. She's stunned that a human can understand her, and Makoto is equally stunned that he's chatting with a pig, but he reassures her he's friendly. The girl introduces herself as Emma and explains she was heading to the divine Mountain to sacrifice herself to the deity Shin. Her village has been trapped in a fog that's ruining their harvest, and offering herself is supposed to lift it. Before going through with the sacrifice, Emma takes Makoto to her home to thank him. While
having dinner with her brothers, Makoto learns that magic is basically common knowledge in this world. So, he asks Emma to teach him. She starts with fire magic, which is supposed to be advanced, but Makoto Masters it instantly, surprising everyone. They check his level, expecting it to be high, but he's only level one, so Emma continues teaching him anyway. The next day, Makoto decides to try handling the situation himself, so Emma won't need to become a sacrifice since he was in his school's archery club. Makoto forms a magical bow from fire and shoots an arrow at
the mountain entrance. The blast destroys the gate and injures several men and Makoto Learns they had been using Shin's name to intimidate the orcs, but Makoto accidentally attacking Shinn's home triggers the deity to actually appear. A thick red mist rolls in and a massive dragon emerges and launches an attack, but Makoto dodges every strike, even with his vision blocked. He uses a new ability that lets him sense the dragon's movements, then counterattacks by surrounding her with fireballs and blasting her repeatedly. The dragon is Shocked at his strength and wonders how a human can wield so
much power. Makoto punches the dragon to the ground. But as soon as he relaxes, she uses her magical eyes to trap him in an illusion. Makoto suddenly finds himself back at his school archery club talking to his junior Nikumi, the girl he has a crush on. She confesses to him and asks him out, and Makoto immediately suspects something is wrong because he knows reality would never be that generous. Realizing it's just an illusion, he breaks free using his power. He finally understands that Sukuyomi granted him the ability to manipulate and shape his surroundings, which is
how he sensed Shin through the fog earlier. He channels that same power into his fists and shatters the illusion. As he prepares to finish the fight, the dragon suddenly stops attacking. She no longer sees him as an enemy. Instead, she's impressed by his incredible abilities And the memories she saw from his world. She tells him she has witnessed his past and wants to learn more, so she proposes forming a contract to become his companion, offering mutual benefit. Makoto hesitates at first, but eventually agrees, and the dragon begins the ritual. Strange energy swirls around them as
she attempts to form a balanced contract. But Makoto's overwhelming power ends up overpowering her during the ritual. So instead of him being Tamed, he unintentionally calms her down, and she transforms into a human. When a contract is formed, the weaker party takes on the form of the stronger one, which explains why she ended up appearing human. But the change isn't just cosmetic. She reveals the Denny plane she controls, a realm accessible through portals she can open at will. As they enter, they discover an enormous fertile field, something Shinn never expected to see. The plane used
to be Nothing but a dark hollow void, but Makoto's influence seems to have rewritten that completely. There are even fruits he recognizes from Earth growing there. Wanting to understand its scale, Makoto uses his new Kai ability to scan the demilane, discovering that it's massive yet still ends abruptly at the mist wall. If the demilane is a domain entirely under Shin's control, Makoto suspects that it's probably outside the goddess's reach. So, he Starts imagining building a settlement here. While thinking about towns and construction, Makoto remembers why he came to the mountain in the first place to
confront Shinn about sacrificing orcs. But in reality, she had nothing to do with it. Since everything was a misunderstanding, Makoto decides to head back and clear things up. As they leave, they run into Emma, who rushed over to warn him against fighting Shin, but she's completely stunned when she Discovers that the girl behind him is the legendary dragon. A celebration takes place in honor of Makoto's victory, clearing up the truth behind the sacrifices, and Emma thanks him sincerely for saving the village. The village elder wants to repay him somehow, so Shinn proposes that the orcs
relocate into her demilane, and by the next morning, the entire orc community has packed up and is ready to move. Makoto hesitates at the idea of them Uprooting their lives overnight, but they insist on showing their gratitude by pledging absolute loyalty to him. Shinn has already arranged everything to ensure the plane is safe for them, and she even prepares a miniature version of herself to watch over them in case anything dangerous happens. With those preparations in place, Makoto agrees and construction of their new settlement begins. While the orcs are busy building, Makoto spends time practicing
His magic while Shin binge watches his memories of historical dramas like they're her new streaming service. Makoto begins to get annoyed with her constant rumaging through his past, but Shinn admits it's inconvenient for him to sit still every time she watches something. So, she declares she'll invent a television to play memories instead. While she's away, Makoto glances at some leftover memories from her viewing session and starts missing His family. But because his parents originally came from this world, he wonders if he can uncover something about their past here. Meanwhile, in a nearby forest, a dwarf
is desperately running from a massive spider monster. Makoto strolls through the demilane and encounters some orcs struggling with a giant tree. They want to cut it down to build him a mansion worthy of their lord, but their ax is hardly dented. Makoto happily steps in and strengthens Himself with Kai, slicing through the tree and lifting it with ease. He also learns he can heal injuries without spending any mana, making him extra grateful to Sukuyomi for such an OP skill. Unfortunately, he can't heal his own wounds, but he figures that as long as he avoids getting
hurt, it's not a big issue. Moments later, Shinn returns to the demiliplane, carrying the wounded dwarf she found in the forest. But trouble follows her. An old enemy of Hers detects the blood from Makoto's injured hand and forces its way into the demilane to attack. Shinn decides to stay out of the fight and lets Makoto deal with it. The attacker is a gigantic spider cursed with eternal hunger. It'll devour anything it can touch. Since it's a spider, Makoto opens with fire magic and manages to chop off one of its legs, but its regeneration kicks in
almost instantly, and the battle continues like nothing happened. Makoto can land blows, But with the monster constantly regrowing itself, he realizes the fight might go on forever. He fires more and more fire spears until he's suddenly caught off guard and stabbed through the stomach by one of its legs, which only makes him more furious. He unleashes his full power, firing a non-stop barrage of fire blasts, then finishes with a devastating water arrow that tears through the monster. After that overwhelming attack, Makoto collapses From exhaustion, but the spider isn't entirely done. It drags itself toward him
again, but instead of finishing him, it seems oddly fond of him for giving it such an exhilarating battle. Shin casually suggests that the spider become one of Makoto's followers, too, forming a contract just like she did. So, by the time Makoto finally wakes up, a new girl is sitting beside him. Confused, he asks who she is, and she explains that she is the spider he just fought. Now in human Form, thanks to the contract established while he was unconscious. Makoto is stunned, realizing he somehow formed a contract without even giving consent, something he didn't think
was possible at all. Shin walks in and Makoto immediately calls her out for forming a contract on his behalf without asking him first. She casually replies that it was still better than having a giant spider stalking him everywhere like an oversized eight-legged fan. The dwarf They rescued introduces himself as Bean and thanks Makoto for driving off the monster that had tormented his village for ages. Then humbly requests permission for his people to permanently settle in Shinn's demilane. Makoto almost instantly agrees, but Shinn steps forward and says that Bean and his people can move in only
if they meet a few conditions, such as supplying weapons and acknowledging Makoto as the rightful lord of the land. Bel Hesitates, so Shinn hands him two of her dragon scales to help convince his people. The next day, Makoto explores the area, trying to trace his parents steps and locate nearby human settlements. But Shinn suddenly appears and tells him an urgent matter requires his attention. When Makoto returns to the hut, Shinn explains that she and the spider girl need proper names because the demilane residents don't know what to call them. Makoto is annoyed that he Was
summoned back for something this trivial. But because both insist on it, he eventually names Shin Tommo after the strongest female samurai and a spidergirl, Mio. The following day, a massive assembly of the demilaines inhabitants is held, and Makoto is surprised to see so many new species already living there. Tommo and Mio introduce themselves with their new names and announce that everyone should address Makoto as their master or lord. Makoto finds this ridiculous, but the two insist, so he settles for being called young master. Bean introduces Makoto to his village chief, El, who comments that Makoto
doesn't look like a typical human. He asks if Makoto was assigned a mission by the goddess, which offends Makoto deeply. He flatly states he would never accept anything from her, especially after she roasted him and tossed him to the world's edge. El is relieved, explaining that his people's Beliefs often conflict with the goddesses. Tommo steps in and presents the mist lizards, her loyal followers who wield both air and water attributes. Mio also introduces her own followers, the Ala, whose endless hunger has finally been satisfied thanks to Makoto's blood and mana. Makoto gives a short speech
to everyone before heading out to find the village he spotted earlier. After walking for a while, he notices a human girl, but she Immediately panics and runs the moment she sees him. He eventually reaches the village, but is greeted by a group of armed locals who all point their weapons at him. They speak a language Makoto can't understand and start attacking him, forcing him to retreat. It's only then he realizes that the goddess gave him the ability to understand every language except human. Makoto returns to the hut, feeling frustrated. He reasons that people don't normally
attack Someone just because they can't talk, so he assumes it must be because he's ugly. Tommo corrects him, explaining that his mana is so enormous that the villagers probably saw him as several demon kings stacked together. She suggests a simple fix, suppressing his mana by imagining a lid on it. Makoto tries this, but the mana only decreases a little. Unwilling to give up, he vows to learn common speech and master suppressing his mana. A magic specialist named Rugu arrives With a mana suppressing ring, but the moment Makoto puts it on, it overloads and shatters. Makoto
practices common speech with Mio, but still struggles until he realizes he can use magic to automatically write out a translated version of his thoughts in the common language. Rugu later returns with a stronger ring, which successfully suppresses Makoto's mana this time, though he warns that the ring will turn from white to red once it reaches its Limit. Makoto returns to the village disguised in a cloak and mask using the alias of a wealthy merchant's son and finally gets in. He notices that everyone in the village is incredibly attractive, making him even more depressed since he
seems to be the only one who didn't get the beauty patch update. They head to the adventurers's guild where the receptionist finds Makoto's masked appearance suspicious. Mio and Tommo quickly cover for him, Claiming he's forced to wear the mask and cursed into silence. The receptionist explains that all adventurers start at rank E and they can rank up by completing quests. Tommo and Mio are handed measurement scrolls and everyone is stunned to see Tommo at level 1320 and Mio at level 1500. Tommo is furious that Mio is stronger and demands a re-evaluation. Meanwhile, Makoto's level is
assessed and he's embarrassed to learn he's still level One. They request a room at the inn and the inkeeper quotes a price of six gold coins. The group finds the price outrageous, and after a bit of intimidation from Tommo, the receptionist settles on charging only two gold. Later that night, Makoto and Mia wander around the village for a quiet stroll, only to literally run into a girl who looks like she's moments away from crying. Makoto immediately feels something's off about a girl being out This late, so he tells Mio to handle it. But instead, Mio
snaps at her and tells her to move aside. Makoto bunks her on the head for being rude and gently asks the girl why she's alone. She instantly breaks down and clings to Makoto, saying she needs help. So, he decides to bring her back to the inn, completely unaware that someone is watching from the shadows. The girl introduces herself as Ren and explains that her sister Toa has been missing for over a month. Meanwhile, Tommo runs into some bandits trying to rob their carriage, so she casually wipes the floor with them. Their attacks are painfully slow
to her, and even while holding back, she launches one guy away like a baseball. When she swings her sword, it slices so cleanly, she accidentally cuts two of them in half. The last one tries to escape, but Tommo appears in front of him instantly and knocks him out. She drags him back to the inn, and Makoto Scolds her for straight up murdering the bandits. Then he removes the bandit's chest piece and finds out the man is actually a woman who starts yelling at Tommo for not checking. Ren overhears their conversation and sees Makoto talking, but
to her, it all sounds like random nonsense, shocking him. He gently tells Ren to get something to eat and rest, and she thanks him, even calling him her brother. She shows them a sketch of her sister Toa, and the picture Visibly surprises Makoto. Ren says good night, but we see her hesitating outside like something's bothering her. Makoto checks the woman's memories and realizes she's part of the thieves from the adventurers guild and somehow connected to Ren. He also sees that Toa is being held captive by them, so he commands Tommo and Mio to go rescue
her immediately. Mio thinks there's no real hurry, but Makoto's serious expression says otherwise, so they rush off. We Also learn the reason. Toa looks exactly like Makoto's Jr. from his previous world. Later, Mio and Tommo discuss how Makoto's entire vibe changed the moment he saw the picture. Mio wonders if he actually knows Ren's sister, but Tommo doubts it, saying Makoto doesn't know anyone here, and she's literally seen his memories. Mio gets jealous hearing that, wanting to know more about him, too, but Tommo tells her to figure him out herself. Mio gets nervous, Remembering his expression,
so they decide they better hurry and save the girl. Meanwhile, Makoto and Ren visit the trading exchange and he reassures her not to worry because he already sent Tommo and Mio to save Toa. A flashback shows how the sisters fell into debt trying to become adventurers. Toa told Ren to run when she couldn't pay, but Ren still ended up captured too. We see Toa slowly losing hope until Tommo and Mio arrive and Mio heals her with magic. They're about to leave, but the doors locked, so Mio casually melts it away. Right as they're escaping, a
man named Milis appears, and Toa immediately recognizes him as the strongest adventurer in Zetssuya. Meanwhile, Makoto is amazed that the demilane fruit he sold earned 500 gold, causing Ren to quietly question who he really is. When they return to the inn, Ren spots someone and runs off. Makoto uses his investigative Kai to track her and Discovers she's meeting with the adventurers. She reports that Makoto sold strange fruit worth 500 gold, and the leader orders her to steal it, saying it'll clear their debt. Ren doesn't want to betray Makoto, but thinking of her sister, she hesitantly
agrees. Back with the others, Melis wonders how Toa can even stand, and we find out he's actually the boss of the thieves. Tommo is identified as having a level over 1,000, but the men think it's Way too high and assume she faked it. Milis offers them a place in his group, promising riches, but both Tommo and Mio reject him. So, he mocks them for following Makoto, who's apparently only level one. That comment infuriates them and they attack, but he blocks with a barrier which Toa recognizes as being from the same clan, meaning they realistically stand
no chance. Meanwhile, Ren struggles with guilt because she doesn't want to steal from Makoto. The receptionist tells her to move along, but Makoto appears and casually says she's his friend. The man instantly panics and apologizes. Ren cries hearing that Makoto considers her a friend, while Makoto quietly resolves to protect her. Melis sends his men to attack, but Tommo smashes through the barrier and launches him into next week. Tommo continues demolishing the bandits, even tossing them through walls like they're made of paper. Mio beats MA Senseless to release her frustration, and together the two wreck the
entire building. Tommo wonders if she's dreaming from how easy it is, but Mais sneaks up and grabs her only to get sent flying again. Tommo briefly worries they went too far, but Mio says they deserved it for insulting their master. The two then start arguing about who contributed more, so Tommo decides to show off her sword skills, slicing through parts of the town. Mio refuses to be outdone and Unleashes her own display and soon they're both wrecking everything around them. They finally return to the inn and the sisters are reunited at last. They meet Makoto
and Toa thanks him while Makoto realizes she looks identical to Nikkumi except for her hair color. The girls exhausted fall asleep. Tommo comments that everything ended well until Makoto asks Mio for some silk and then immediately ties both of them up. He thanks them for rescuing Toa but Immediately points out the disaster level destruction they caused. So he blasts them away to think about what they've done. After effectively leveling Zetssuya, the group escapes toward the nearby town of Sage, joined by the other adventurers Milis had captured. On the way, they stop at a guild and
casually inform the receptionist that Zetssuya was wiped out by monsters, though thankfully everyone escaped. We also learn that Tommo used her abilities to Erase all the residents memories except for Toa and Ren. The receptionist asks if the monsters are still rampaging, but they explain that Mio and Tommo handled everything since their levels exceed a thousand. She doesn't buy it because nobody has levels that absurd. And since its Suya was destroyed before their registration spread, they have to sign up again. Makoto realizes that Mio and Tommo's jealousy might cause even more chaos later. So, he tells
them a story About a samurai who traveled to grow stronger. This inspires Tommo to improve her strength, too. And she asks for permission to train alone in the wilderness. After Tommo leaves, Mio hopes she'll finally get all of her master's attention. But Toa's presence threatens that dream. As they continue towards Sage, Makoto senses killer bees using his Kai and tells Mio to deal with them. She slices them with her wind blade, impressing everyone. But Makoto Wants to keep going while Toa insists on gathering rare materials from the monsters. Makoto avoids eye contact with Toa, but
as she enthusiastically carves up the bodies, he grows nauseous and loses interest entirely. They keep fighting monsters as they travel, and Makoto officially names their team the Kuzu noa Trading Company. Along the way, they encounter rare monsters called ruby eyes. Makoto tells Mio to finish them off, but the adventurers beg her not to Damage the valuable parts, so she gets annoyed and tells Makoto to do it himself. Left with no choice, Makoto picks up his bow and shoots each Ruby Eyes weak point, taking them all down instantly. The group marvels at his skill for about
2 seconds before scrambling to harvest loot, managing to collect 12 Ruby Eyes before arriving at Sage. At the Adventurers Guild, Toa thanks Makoto because she leveled up during their travels, but Makoto feels Depressed that he's still level one despite slaughtering so many bees. He then spots an S-ranked request from a trading company searching for ruby eyes, and since they already have a bunch, he takes the quest for easy cash. They split the materials they gathered. Makoto keeps only the ruby eyes and a few rare items, leaving the rest to the others. They prepare to part
ways, but he suggests a celebration first. They exchange contact info through their License cards, which can also make calls and retrieve information. During dinner, everyone relaxes and gets to know each other. The adventurers introduce themselves. Louisa the gunner, Hazel, the alchemy mister, and Nina the priest knight. Nenah challenges Makoto to an arm wrestling match, but loses instantly. To warns Makoto about the quest, telling him rumors of terrible things happening to those who work with the Rembrandt trading company. This Makes him cautious, so he secretly inspects the ruby eyes in his room. Mio shares the room
with him and hopes they'll grow closer, even considering breaking one of the beds to force some proximity. But Makoto has zero interest and goes straight to sleep. The next day, Makoto can finally create gates, so they all return to the demilane where he meets Tommo's clone and reunites with Emma, who acts as his secretary. She updates him on the demilane. Every Species is settling in, doing their assigned jobs, and even building a huge castle modeled after one from his memories. We also learn that Tommo hasn't contacted them since leaving for training. As Makoto wonders how
she's doing, the dwarf chief drags him to their workshop. He proudly presents several suits of armor they created, but Makoto rejects them since he's an archer, not a knight. The dwarves burst into tears, but Makoto notices a coat That fits his style and learns it was crafted by Rugu. Rugu warns that it absorbs mana and could kill him instantly. Makoto puts it on anyway and feels perfectly fine. Rugu explains the coat can change colors, switching between defense and mobility, but it fails to absorb Makoto's overwhelming mana and tears apart. Makoto asks if he can reinforce
it, and Rugu vows to create one capable of killing him instantly, leaving Makoto questioning His dedication. Meanwhile, the Ali have transformed into human form using magic and specialize in gathering ingredients since they can consume even the most poisonous substances without any harm. The next day, Makoto grabs the ruby eyes and heads to the Rembrandt Trading Company, where he's warmly welcomed by President Patrick and his butler Morris. At the same time, an adventurer named Lime visits the guild to learn who accepted the job for the ruby eyes, and The receptionist tells him the one responsible is
Makoto. Makoto tells Patrick that because of a curse, he can't speak normally, so he communicates using his signature bubbles. He introduces himself as a level one E-class adventurer, and Patrick instantly deflates, assuming Makoto is just another clueless rookie hoping to strike it rich, but Makoto casually pulls out the ruby eyes, shocking Patrick to the core. After confirming They're real, Patrick apologizes for doubting him. Makoto asks why he needs them, and Patrick explains they're required to make a magical medicine called ambrosia, which is the only cure for the level, a curse afflicting his wife and daughters.
Makoto sympathizes and mentions he knows an alchemy master who can make the medicine, but Patrick says they still need more ruby eyes to complete the antidote. Makoto cuts him off and hands over every ruby eye he Has, overwhelming Patrick and his servants with gratitude. Patrick officially gives him the job receipt and wishes him luck with his upcoming merchant guild registration exam, shocking Makoto, who didn't know there even was a test. He heads to the merchant guild where the receptionist explains the written exam must be passed before he can attempt the practical gathering test, adding that
failure means waiting 6 months to try again. To Prepare, he buys an expensive study book, but after flipping through the pages, he instantly regrets the purchase. The receptionist assumes he's struggling, saying the test is nearly impossible for most people. But Makoto immediately asks to take it since the questions are basically grade school math. He finishes the written exam in 5 minutes, impressing the examiner with his near-perfect score while Makoto silently wonders what on earth the Education system is like in this world. For the practical portion, the examiner tells him to draw a random assignment. As
he does, the examiner smuggly says the required materials are extremely rare, and Makoto must bring back something of equal or greater value within 3 days to pass. But Makoto remembers all the rare items he collected with the adventurers, so he takes them out as substitutes, stunning the examiner. Meanwhile, Tommo shows off Her strength by defeating a massive crab monster and sharing a feast with her allies. However, a demihuman messenger arrives with a warning from Emma that Mio entered the memory vault, triggering Tommo's jealousy and sending her rushing back home. When she arrives, Tommo asks if
Mio watched Makoto's memories, but Emma reassures her that she only translated them. Tommo then asks if anything happened between Mio and Makoto while she was gone, but Mio immediately Dodges the question. Later at a restaurant, Makoto struggles to order anything because of the language barrier. He mistakenly orders something that looks like lemonade, but whatever he receives is definitely not lemonade, and he finds himself craving a normal meal. Lime secretly observes him, and other patrons chat about the defeat of the killer bees and the giant crab monster. After the culinary disappointment, Makoto returns to the Demiplane
to check on his fruit supply, but Tommo's clone informs him that production has dropped because of unstable weather. Makoto reflects on his dream of creating an elucory city, one that travelers could only find if lost in the mist, where they'd receive rare foods and items, boosting the city's reputation in the outside world. Suddenly, he receives a telepathic alert that Mio is in danger. He asks a human Ala for details and learns that Mio Found something in Makoto's memory she wanted to watch, but Tommo stopped her. Makoto steps in and asks Tommo what's happening. It turns
out Mio watched Makoto's anime memories and instantly became obsessed, leading to a heated argument over whether anime or historical dramas are superior. After listening to both sides, Makoto allows them to continue watching, but warns them not to fight again. That night, Makoto plans to sleep, but upon noticing There are only two beds for the three of them, he asks the girls to give him one. Instead, they tell him to choose one of them to share a bed with, so he refuses and ends up sleeping upright in a chair. The next morning, Makoto discusses creating the
medicine with Hazel. And as they prepare to leave, Lime watches from afar, instructing his allies to prepare an all-out assault. Morris brings them to Patrick, who's all banged up because he tried sneaking the potion in to feed His wife the ambrosia, but she immediately lashed out, and it took multiple guards to restrain her. He says this episode felt totally different from her usual spasms, but Hazel thinks it wasn't a spasm at all. Someone probably modified the curse to stop her from taking the cure, which is doable with level eight and higher curses. Patrick talks about
his wife, explaining that it all started as a mild fever, but she never recovered and slowly slipped into Madness. He breaks down, devastated that he thought the curse would end today. Makoto tells him to take him to her room. He explains he'll hold her down so she can drink the medicine. But Patrick doubts him because he's so lowle. Hazel, however, says Makoto will be fine. After all, he's the one who killed the ruby eyes. And even Morris shows confidence in him. Makoto uses the scent of ambrosia to lure her out, then locks her in place
using the technique Moose's Sister taught him. While Patrick pours the potion into her mouth and bursts into tears when she's cured, they give the antidote to the two girls as well, and he thanks Makoto and the goddess, even though Makoto isn't thrilled about sharing credit with her. Makoto leaves Hazel to refine the medicine, then finds Mio and Tommo waiting outside, but suddenly they're ambushed. Makoto dodges every hit, but Mio and Tommo take the attacks headon because they want to Inspect the enemy's stats. Nothing hurts them, of course, and Lime invites Tommo and Mio to join
their side. Tommo immediately refuses, but Mio asks how much they're paying. Lime offers 10 gold, so she calmly drops out of the fight, which makes Tommo furious at her for betraying them, but Mio's obviously pretending since Makoto told them not to repeat the Zetssuya disaster. Makoto tells Tommo to handle the attackers and she wipes the floor with them. Lime begs For mercy and she spares him after seeing something in his memories. He apologizes for putting a sleeping curse on Patrick's family, shocking Makoto because it turned out to be a deadly curse. Makoto asks him why
he did it, and Lime explains that months ago, a man told him that adventurers blacklisted by the Rembrandt company always struggled to get work. The man suggested putting a harmless sleeping curse on Patrick's family so he'd reconsider his ways. And Lime truly believed no one would get hurt. Tommo reads his mind and sees he's telling the truth, so they let him go. Though before he escapes, Mio takes all his gold since she did her part in the fight. A few days later, Lime apologizes to Patrick, who forgives him, but says he'll have to restrict his
work as an adventurer. Lime says he doesn't want to be an adventurer anymore anyway. He visits the orphanage where he grew up. And Tommo meets him there, handing him a New sword sent by Makoto since his old one was destroyed. Lime explains he only fell for the stranger's plan because someone in the orphanage had died due to the Rembrandt company's actions. Tommo asks him to become her spy, promising protection for him and the orphanage, and he accepts. Tommo then spies on Patrick, discussing with Morris how dangerous it would be for them if Makoto ever starts
his own company, which only makes her more suspicious of the two. They return to the demilane where Emma tells them there's a problem involving all three of them. She explains that the warriors there are losing confidence in their training because they keep getting crushed by Makoto, Tommo, and Mio. Mio thinks they should stop fighting them for a while, but Tommo refuses, saying it would make everyone think they've been abandoned. Makoto decides to check on everyone himself. He sends Tommo to meet the lizardmen and asks Mio to come With him to check on the ali. With
Emma guiding them, they overhear the orcs complaining about their upcoming training and how depressing it is to spar with Makoto since Tommo and Mio at least let themselves get hit while Makoto is basically unhitable. On the way back, they meet Tommo, who reports the lizard men have the same problem. Makoto realizes the different races aren't sharing information about their progress, and Emma says each group Prefers to hide its combat techniques from the others. Makoto thinks it would be exciting to have them try each other's styles. So, they gather all the orcs and lizardmen and announce
a special training match to test their true strength. Each side sends out their strongest fighter. And the battle immediately destroys the entire arena, which impresses Makoto, but he keeps a straight face because Tommo told him to look serious. The match ends with the Orcs victory, but Tommo still calls both fighters weak. When she asks one of the orcs why they're so untrained, he says that even though it looked weak to her, the match was a huge deal for them. She replies that they still haven't reached the level expected of them. Makoto tells her not to
be too harsh, but she ignores him, saying they need to be strong enough to rely on each other. Since they can't judge their strength properly by fighting Makoto, Tommo, and Mio, she Announces that from now on, everyone will gather weekly to battle each other. Their strength will be measured and ranked, and this rule applies to the dwarves and Alis, too. Everyone starts worrying that their fighting styles will be exposed, but Tommo brushes it off, saying they're too weak for anyone to even care. She tells them they'll prove their worth through these matches, and whoever lands
at the top of the rankings will earn the title of great warrior. Anyone who can't make progress should look for other jobs because there are plenty of ways to contribute besides swinging a weapon. Tommo's clone invites Makoto to say something, but he gets nervous and simply agrees with her, telling everyone that there's nothing worth hiding, and he knows they can get stronger if they cooperate. While he tries to come up with a good name for the ranking system, Tommo suddenly announces it as the dimension ranking, Leaving Makoto unsure if that's really what he wanted to
call it. When they retest everyone's levels, Mio is at 1500, and Tommo hits 1340. Makoto finds it impressive that Tommo gained 20 levels, though he's still stuck at level one. But Tommo's disappointed. She expected far more from her training. The receptionist then explains that the guild is short staffed because many top adventurers left or were injured. So, Makoto is asked to help train the Newcomers. Makoto says he knows the perfect group. He asks Tommo to train Toa and the others, and she starts thinking about an area near the guild where she can do it, but
then remembers Makoto's reaction when he first saw Toa. Guessing she might resemble someone from his previous life, Tommo decides she needs to make the group stronger quickly so they won't depend on Makoto and interfere with her time with him. Training begins and she takes them to Fight a swarm of Shadow Tales, but she has to save them almost immediately. Furious at their sloppy teamwork, she decides to drill the basics into them. She orders Hazel to prepare a mud trap using water and earth magic. Tells Louisa to take a sniper position with clear sight and instructs
Hazel to add poison to the mud. Once the trap is set, the monkeys step right into it and get stuck. That lets Louisa fire without missing while the survivors are taken Out by Nina, who charges in head-on, and Toa, who uses her thief skills to sneak behind them. Tommo explains that if Hazel uses this strategy, he can unleash offensive magic freely since he only needs to heal Nenah. Using her tactics, they wipe out all the enemies. After the mission, she tells them they'll take on another nest by themselves because even if their levels are low,
they need to keep pushing their limits and aim to be the best. Toa rushes back to the guild To report that she and her team were assigned to clear the Shadowtail nests. The receptionist doubts their abilities, but is stunned when the group arrives carrying trophies from two monkey lords, proving they cleared two nests on their own. Meanwhile, Makoto sends Mio to the Tenorak forest to find the ambrosia flower since he wants it to become their company's signature product. He then visits Patrick to request renting one of his stores. Patrick asks why he doesn't Just buy
a shop. And we learn from the merchant guild that buying property in the AIN kingdom forces merchants to act as government spies. Patrick suggests a neutral city not aligned with any country, saying it would be perfect for Makoto's business, and he even knows someone there. So, he asks Makoto to wait while he contacts him. Mayo reaches the Tenac Forest, but she hates it because there's nothing tasty to eat. A human party enters the forest, too, Watched closely by two elves who don't like intruders. The party gets defeated easily. One of the elves, Aqua, tells her
partner, Aerys, that their enemies are still alive. But if they had touched the Crimson Lotus, she wouldn't have hesitated to kill them. A celebration is held to Mark Makoto's new company. He thanks everyone, but gets too shy to give a proper speech, so he asks Tommo to handle it. She refuses, saying everyone wants to hear his voice. Tommo's clone hands him a drink, and he pats her head, making the real Tommo happy since they're connected. Mio gets jealous and brings out a dish she discovered earlier, planning to feed him herself, but he eats it normally,
leaving her disappointed. Tommo quickly drags Mio away because she wants everyone else to have time with him, too. Akina, one of the ali approaches Makoto and explains she can now hold her human form much longer. She reports what They discovered during their journey to Tener and gives him the exact location of the ambrosia flower. She tried to bring back a sample but couldn't because the forest belongs to another race. Makoto asks if the alky have settled into the demilane and she says they've adjusted wonderfully thanks to him. Lenny the lizardman then shows up to thank
Makoto saying he learned new techniques during the joint training and is even receiving unarmed combat lessons From Tommo. This worries Makoto. He definitely doesn't want everyone turning into a second Tommo. Belin then asks if he likes living in Sage and Makoto says it's a great place though Mio and Tommo sometimes cause trouble. Makoto wonders if Bern and the others are growing bored since they rarely leave the demilane. But Beerren considers it a paradise and says they lack nothing. He enjoys crafting weapons for everyone, but is curious about those from the outside World. So Makoto lets
him set up a new shop in Sage. Later, an orc informs him that he's been appointed the guide for adventurers in Mirage City, a simulated town where goods from the demilane are traded with the outside world. Makoto thanks him and Beer is glad to feel useful. The crowd cheers, all clamoring for his attention. Meanwhile, Mio complains to Tommo that she wanted to report on the ambrosia flowers and their guardians first, but Tommo insists they Wait until everything is confirmed. Suddenly, both sense Makoto's presence vanish, and panic sets in. When he reappears, they rush to him
and find him practicing archery. Mio hugs him tearfully while Tommo watches, curious about his technique. Makoto explains he focuses on the target by emptying his mind, effectively letting his consciousness vanish and reappear to strike. Mio observes that such a method can only be achieved by someone who has Experienced death, implying he felt it while practicing. Makoto reassures them he's fine, but Tommo notices his mana capacity is rising. She explains that mana is normally fixed, yet through death and rebirth, his has grown to levels comparable to the goddesses. With the demilane also expanding, they must suppress
his mana to avoid attracting the goddess's attention. The next day, Makoto buys supplies for his store. mentally exhausted from the previous Day's archery practice and Mio's constant advances. Lost in thought, a bag from a demihuman flies toward him. Returning it, he notices their features resemble his own. A girl then makes a bold move on him, revealing he's in the red light district. Before things escalate, Tommo and Mio drag him away, furious. Makoto awkwardly explains that it had nothing to do with them, which only angers them further. They tear at his clothes, but he escapes using
a Messgate. Emma finds him dangling from a tree and seeing the pink mist and webs, she immediately understands the situation. She tells him his protective gear is ready, so he heads to Rugu, testing his new equipment. He's satisfied until Mio appears to apologize for the previous night. He accepts it, but warns her not to repeat it. He asks about the guardians of the Ambrosia Flowers, and she insists he leave it to her. Alarmed by what she might do, he Decides to accompany her. They reach the Tenac forest and notice someone following, so they stealthily evade
the observers. Upon finding the ambrosia flowers, Makoto notes they appear to be exceptionally well cared for. Recalling a flashback of holding his sister's hand, he asks Mio to hold his since the ground is slippery. She beams with joy, but they're interrupted by Aqua and Aerys, which irritates Mio. Humans arrive, intent on stealing the flowers, And the forest guardians misidentify everyone as thieves. Aerys attacks with Is Matt magic, and the human girl questions why Makoto isn't fighting back. He realizes it's the same girl from the previous night. Makoto easily deflects her attacks and blocks flaming arrows
using his defensive Kai. As the situation escalates, Mio grows angrier, ready to kill everyone. Makoto telepathically asks Tommo for help, but she refuses because he came along with Mio and held her hand. To get her cooperation, he agrees to let her forge a katana and cultivate rice. She instructs him to distract the adventurers while she opens a mist gate to transfer them to Mirage City. To call Mio, he feeds her favorite food. Makoto pushes the intruders into the mist gate and gives his blood to Mio, restoring her to normal. Using her dark magic, she absorbs
the elves mana and halts their attacks. Makoto then has her tie them up To prevent further aggression and explains he didn't come to steal the flowers, only to talk. The group is escorted to the elves village where Makoto notices a familiar magical barrier hiding the area. They're greeted by the elders and a representative, Nell, who introduces himself as a forest ogre, surprising Mio, who assumed they were elves. Nell's son, Adano, arrives and notes that despite name changes, they are similar to elves. The elders Explain that elves need the forest to survive while forest ogres protect
it. Adonno questions how long they plan to remain hidden as the dragon's barrier is weakening. Makoto presents himself as a merchant seeking medicinal ingredients. But Adono is wary of his strength, prompting the elders to continue their questioning. Afterwards, Aqua and Aerys apologize to Makoto and ask him to meet their master, Mundo, who makes a dramatic entrance by breaking through a Wall. Mundo shakes Makoto's hand, but when he holds it longer than Mio ever could, she flies into a rage and hurls him aside. Makoto tells her he wants her to spy on Adano and Mundo, which
excites her because she has seen spies in his memories. Once she gathers the information, Mio reports that Mundo is possessed while Adano is in contact with demons. Makoto instructs her to return to the demilane and swap with Tommo since he needs to confirm something with Her. The elves hold a feast in his honor, but Makoto notices Mundo and Adano arguing. Suddenly, a skeletal creature emerges from Mundo's body and kills Adano. Makoto observes that the creature drained Mundo's life force yet left him alive, explaining Adano's death as a consequence of his connections with a particular woman.
Using his gaming knowledge, Makoto identifies the monster as a lich. The creature attacks, but Makoto's resistance to status effects Nullifies its efforts. He then channels Mio's dark magic to absorb the lich's mana, overwhelming it completely. Tommo steps in, transferring the lich through a gate so Makoto can speak with it later. His unexpected victory shocks everyone who begin questioning whether he is truly just a merchant. It becomes clear that they had planned to assassinate him after the feast, leaving Makoto horrified. Tommo confronts Nell, who initially fails to recognize her. She reminds him that he had requested
the mist barrier around their village, intimidating him until he recalls who she is. Instead of punishing him, Tommo instructs everyone to bow before Makoto as her master. The group interrogates the lich. Makoto asks why it was in the village. It claims to have been observing the forest ogres and their abilities. Tommo asks why it became undead, and it admits its goal is to become a grant, a being superior to Humans in every way. Curious how Makoto defeated it, the lich learns that he used dark magic to absorb its mana during casting. The lich doubts this
is possible, claiming such a feat would require a ridiculous amount of mana. Mio and Tommo grow angry, threatening it, but Makoto calms them. Makoto inquires if the lich has any spell books he could acquire, but the lich suspects a trick. Makoto explains he only learned magic from a single page written by Emma. Tommo suggests keeping the lich to help Makoto study magic, reasoning that his ambition to become a Grant indicates knowledge of worlds beyond the goddess's creation where Grants may travel freely. Makoto wonders if he could return to his old world, but Tommo believes it
impossible. Many have attempted interworld travel, and only a few survived. Grants alone don't have the power to traverse worlds. Only those who have succeeded can. Even if the goddess Opened a path, survival odds are below 10%. Tommo proposes that Makoto form a contract with the lich so he can learn magic from it. They agree, though Makoto must suppress his strength to complete the ritual. Once finished, the lich reverts to human form. Thanks Makoto for the opportunity and takes the name Shiki. Tommo reminds him he has much to learn. Suddenly, an explosion occurs and Tommo collapses,
apologizing for her mistake. Makoto instructs Mio to stop Her bleeding and rushes with Shiki toward the explosion site. Shiki stumbles with his new body, but saves his mana, treating the injured from a distance. surprising Makoto as Shiki possesses healing magic. At the explosion site, Makoto finds several wounded, including an alkey named Okudo, whose slow healing strikes him as odd. Recalling his cat's death in a past life, Shiki begins healing them, but some are too severely injured, prompting Him to ask for Makoto's assistance. Makoto, unable to use healing magic directly, combines two Kai spells to successfully
heal the injured. Confused by sensing mana across the area, he receives a necklace from a girl, recognizing it as belonging to an orc from the previous party. Makoto investigates the explosion site and detects traces of a missed gate. Suspecting the blast caused it, he notices more gates and senses the Presence of Tommo's clone, the orc, and adventurers on the other side. As the gates begin closing, he recalls Mio's warning. A person's consciousness can vanish upon death. He attempts to save an adventurer on the other side, but starts seeing their memories. It turns out the girl
from the red light district was targeting him as part of a plan. She and her companions stole several items from Mirage City. And during their escape, a young orc intervened in the Struggle. The girl threw a bag containing a ring that had absorbed Makoto's mana, causing the explosion. Tommo's clone had tried to protect everyone with a water wall, but the explosion was far too powerful, shattering the barrier and killing all those inside. It also created a mist gate, which allowed the girl to teleport to Sage, where she worried about the stolen weapons. Suddenly, mist surrounded
her and Makoto appeared, Radiating an intimidating presence. He wasn't wearing his mask, and the girl recoiled in shock at his appearance. He ignored her protest and coldly remarked that he wished he had killed her earlier. She introduced herself as a level 96 hunter, but Makoto disregarded the title and drew the traditional weapon of the orcs. When she attacked, he effortlessly cut off her hands and knocked her down, stating that she deserved it. She begged him to stay Away, but he found her irritating and finished her off. Tears welled in his eyes and he wondered if
it was the first time he had intentionally killed someone or the deaths caused by the explosion that affected him. But he realized it was because death in the world he once lived in was always tragic. The next day, Makoto held a traditional orc funeral for the dead, pretending to be fine. He recounted to Tommo the experience of seeing the girl's Memories, and she expressed happiness that he had acted decisively as the true king of the demilane. Makoto pondered whether he was becoming like those around him because of the contracts. But Tommo laughed and Shiki clarified
that no part of a servant could enter the master's body. Makoto believed he could harness some of their power, which angered Mio, but Tommo explained she meant the trust between master and servant. Shiki added that using a Servant's power takes time to adapt, and Tommo emphasized that trust is key. When the master faces an emergency, the servant's power can manifest. Mio grew jealous that Makoto had used Tommo's power, leading to a playful argument over who was closer to him. Meanwhile, Makoto told Emma to create protective walls around Mirage City to safeguard the weak and children
and instructed the lizard men to patrol. He also had the Alis pose as adventurers to gather Intelligence within the city. The dwarves briefed him on managing the warehouse, implementing immediate waste disposal, and additional safety measures. After meeting the families of the fallen orcs, Makoto apologized, but they assured him that since he had saved their village, they would gladly dedicate their lives to him. Makoto still felt guilty and promised to make amends. Makoto later met Patrick, who introduced him to the neutral town of Rosskart Academy, showing him a map that resembled Japan. Makoto planned to leave
immediately, revealing the truth by removing his mask. Patrick, though surprised by his appearance, reaffirmed his trust, acknowledging Makoto's unwavering care for his family despite the curse. Mio and Tommo wondered why only Shiki was accompanying him. And he explained that Shiki's background as a former human researcher made him uniquely helpful and unlikely to harm Anyone's talent. Makoto expressed his desire to learn more about the world and his parents after recent events, gifting Tommo his swordsmanship memories and Mio his firearms knowledge. While Makoto and Shiki prepared to depart, he was suddenly teleported and attacked by two adventurers,
Sophia and Lancer. He dodged their strike but suffered severe injuries, including losing several fingers. Morris reported to Patrick that the main forces from Lemi and Vartanian Were soon to clash with demons, leaving Makoto confused. He recalled hearing the goddess's voice before the teleportation. Sophia assumed he was a demihuman and questioned if he was truly the goddess's hero. She launched relentless attacks and although Makoto used protective barriers, they were insufficient. His injuries worsened, forcing him to improvise with a bow string to stop the bleeding. Makoto learned that a war had erupted between Humans and demons, and
his attackers were allied with the demons. Lancer commanded Sophia to eliminate Makoto, claiming he obstructed the demon army's advance. Makoto considered retreating to the demilane, but realized he would be pursued, so he prepared to fight. He unleashed a rapid fire barrage and used concealing Kai to escape, but crystal walls suddenly materialized around him. Makoto broke the barriers with his foot-based magic, but Sophia and Lancer Caught up. He admitted to himself that he wasn't a skilled fighter, yet he tried to rely on his unique abilities. Lancer suspected that he was under the goddess's protection, so Sophia
dawned a ring to remove it. Makoto calmly revealed that he had never relied on the goddess at all. In the ensuing confrontation, he discovered that Sophia was the famous dragon hunter and Lancer was in fact a dragon. Makoto told Sophia and Lancer that he was just a merchant And didn't want to fight. But they didn't believe him and prepared to attack. With no other choice, he removed the mana absorbing rings and unleashed his strengthening Kai, sending them flying. Switching to his investigative Kai, he saw them through the dust and fired a devastating special arrow crafted
by the dwarves. Sophia and Lancer tried to block it, but it split into multiple shots, piercing through their defenses. He followed up with a Water arrow. Lancer believed he could counter it with his own water magic, but was shocked to find Makoto's affinity for water surpassed his own, leaving him frozen. Sophia seized the moment, attempting to chop off Makoto's head, but he narrowly dodged. She laded another full strength attack, but Makoto blocked it with his arrow, shattering her sword. Amazed by the dwarf's craftsmanship, he prepared for the next strike. Suddenly, Sophia grabbed him While Lancer
created crystals in the sky, swapping positions with Sophia repeatedly and taking Makoto high into the air. She returned to the ground, confident he was finished. But Makoto fired fireballs to destroy the crystals, causing flaming debris to rain down on both the human and demon armies. Using the power of his mana rings, he unleashed a colossal water arrow, forming a massive pillar that froze everyone around it. Then, in a sudden Blur, Makoto vanished. As the ring shattered, the resulting water explosion created a new lake. Sophia and Lancer survived, though they believed Makoto had died. Sophia swore
vengeance if he were still alive. Makoto woke up to find Tommo and Mio sleeping beside him, his injuries fully healed. He recounted the battle with Sophia and Lancer while Shiki mentioned that the goddess had manipulated him into fighting the demon army. Mio was furious, but Makoto blamed Himself for being careless and resolved to increase the amount of mana he could wield at once. He decided to study at the academy alongside Shiki. Tommo suggested that she and Mio travel with him since the goddess could interfere at any moment. Makoto, however, insisted on hiding them, calling them
his trump card. Tommo then introduced her new clone created using one of Makoto's rings, and he named her Como. Tommo explained that Ko wouldn't suffer the Fate of her previous clone, essentially calling her their child, which made Mio visibly jealous. Meanwhile, the forest ogres had moved into the demilane, and Tommo began preparing them for the upcoming dimensional ranking. Their shop inside the city had just opened, and a customer arrived to repair his blade. Initially displeased with the demihuman employees, he watched as beer and repaired the blade with precision. Mio demonstrated its sharpness, accidentally Cutting the
customer's cheek, but Aerys quickly healed him. Everyone was impressed by their service, including Patrick, who marveled at Makoto's shop. Makoto realized that during his battle with Sophia and Lancer, he had unintentionally injured both human and demon armies. He also noted that there were other heroes on the battlefield, leaving him to wonder if he would meet them in the future. Later, as he reflected on his past life and Everything that had transpired, Emma called him for a feast celebrating the new shop and his farewell. He briefly mused that life in this world wasn't so bad until
he saw Tommo and Mio bickering yet again and immediately reconsidered. And that's the end of season 1. If you want
