what's up B doers as most of you know every single day is filled with a laundry list of Duties that need to get done keeping a to-do list ensures that we know what needs to be done and when to do it activities in Odo are like the to-do list for each record scheduling activities in Odo helps you plan future tasks and duties for each record in your database you can also see scheduled activities in the chatter section of each record making it easy to follow on what has been completed and what still needs to get
done I can even use activities to assign tasks to my other team members activities ensure that we're making progress on each record and they keep my company running smoothly so let's dive into my database to see how easy it is to schedule activities with Odo since activities are integrated across odo's apps I can see information about scheduled activities on the records themselves the icon next to the priority Stars gives us information about activities related to each record in the news stage I can see on the quote for 12 tables opportunity there's a green icon on
its can band card green icons indicate an upcoming activity for this record this quickly lets me know if I have a task that I need to do and on other opportunities we might see an orange icon meaning that the record has an activity that's due today and of course if there's a red icon it means that the activity is overdue in contrast a gray clock indicates that there are no activities planned and as you can see there are different icons for every activity type like a phone an envelope and so on now in the quote
for 12 tables opportunity let's click on the activity icon on the card to view the scheduled activities when I do a mini activity pop-up window appears from here we can see the activities that I've created for this opportunity and when they're due I can also use the icons on the right corner of this pop-up window to mark this activity is done edit it or cancel it all together can also schedule an activity from this popup as well by clicking on schedule an activity now what if I want more information about the activities in my database
well I can view all my assigned activities through my activities dashboard by clicking the clock icon here in the top right navigation bar this little menu is my running to-do list the number next to the clock icon refers to how many activities are due to dat or pass their due date for more information I can click on view all activities and this takes me to my activities dashboard currently the activities dashboard is in the list view this view allows me to see all my assigned activities with their respective due dates I can sort these activities
as well by clicking on the due date column and not too shabby right but wait there's more we can also view this in our can band View and if I want to apply a filter to my activities I can click on this down arrow in the search bar and select a filter function or a group by function right now there's an overdue task for today and I can see that through this right here means I'm behind and I'm sending an email so let's go ahead and get this done ASAP to do that I'm just going
to click on the 5vp chairs icon and as usual I can view scheduled activities for this record in the chatter ah looks like I was supposed to send an email to this client a few days ago that's all right I can quickly send Azure inter an email by clicking the send message button at the top of the chatter I also want to make sure that the tech box next to Ash interior is ticked and I'm just going to go ahead and paste my message which is thanks for reaching out to stealthy wood you can view
our updated product catalog at stealthy wood. oo.com you can view our updated product catalog there through that link well now all we have to do is click Send and that was easy now I can check this off of my activity list by marking this as done when I do you'll notice ODU gives me the option to leave some feedback and I can either click done or click done in scheduled next for this case I'm going to select done in scheduled next just so I can plan the next activity for this record right away since I
created the activity it's automatically assigned to me as indicated there if needed I can assign this activity to a different person but we're going to go ahead and leave this as is for now next I'll specify the activity type ODU comes preconfigured with some basic activity types which can be viewed when I click on activity type but I can also create custom activity types for now though I'm just going to select call as my activity type then in the summary field I'm just going to write discuss chair options for client finally I'll just specify the
due dat by selecting the due date here and let's put this for 2 days from now I also have the option to log a note which would add a note underneath this activity in the chatter but I think the summary is enough for this one so I can go ahead and also schedule this on my calendar by clicking open calendar but I'm not exactly sure when I'll make the call within the next two days so I'm just going to go ahead and click save when I do you'll notice the new activity pops up in the
chatter if I ever need to edit an activity I can always click on the edit button if I need to cancel the activity for any other reason I can also click cancel right here and of course if I need to schedule another activity I can simply click the activities button just to go ahead and create another one from here and there you have it o doers just like that you saw how I could quickly complete an activity and schedule another one for myself all from the chatter within a few clicks note that even with scheduled
task in the CRM today you can do this for any record in any app that has the chatter section odu's efficient activities feature makes viewing all of your assigned activities and respective due dates super easy frees up a ton of mental space and gives me enough time and en energy to knock everything out on my to-do list be sure to check out our other tutorials to learn more about our other useful tools and features that can boost your overall productivity but until then thanks for watching
