[Music] Hi there! I'm here to discuss an overview of some Burton board technologies within the Burton line. These technologies can be found on the truth card or on our website.
The big one to kick off the board technologies is Squeezebox. Squeezebox is a core technology that can be found in our introductory boards in Squeezebox Low, all the way up to Squeezebox in some of our higher end models. The core profiling of Squeezebox is really what makes this technology unique.
We overbuild the core of the snowboard on the outside and inside of the rider's foot both on the front and back foot. What this does, is creates heavy, more powerful ribs on the outside and inside of the board and also minimizing how much core profile is underneath the rider's foot to minimize how much your foot is working in a single day. The next technology we want to jump into is Off-Axis.
Off-Axis and Squeezebox kind of work hand in hand with one another. Off-Axis can be identified on every Burton twin board by showing the right and left foot mounting sections. And what we do know, is that on a perfectly twin snowboard a rider is going to be riding symmetrically centered, so we know while building Squeezebox we want to build it in the angle in which the binding is being mounted on the board.
What this does, is make for a more unique, more aggressive power transfer for that rider knowing that they're going to be setting up their board the same symmetrically either left or right foot forward. The next technology you want to jump into is Filet-o-Flex. Going into more core profiling again, what we're doing especially on models like the Rewind here, is we are minimizing the amount of sidewall and core underneath the rider's foot from inside to outside by overbuilding where the channel is, and minimizing how much is on the outside, we have to make up the extra room on this by adding an EVA foam pad.
So the binding lays perfectly flat. By adding this EVA foam pad, it's going to allow for the rider to feel a lot more dampening whether they're riding jumps or taking this off a a larger drop. What this also can help with is, going to add more EVA foam to what your binding is already giving it - whether you're riding a Re:Flex or EST - both bindings are going to give you added foam as well too.
What this also then helps a board like the Rewind have, is it's going to be torsionally soft under foot but it's going to still react at high speeds quite well. Next one we want to go into is Pro Tip. So Pro Tip can be found on a lot more of our boards above the Process, and what it is is actually milling out the tip and tail so that it reduces the amount of swing weight.
We don't want as much core in the tip and tail because it's going to allow a rider to continuously spin. Their spin is going to keep progressing and moving throughout the air. The next one is Super Sap.
Super Sap can be notified on most boards by showing the indicator where the sizing is on the board. Super Sap is a biobased resin that cuts away around 11 to 15% of general chemicals that are in most epoxies that other brands might be using. Super Sap also helps us cut down our carbon footprint and we continuously try to drop this into the line at lower price points.
