Jesus gave us a specific sign for the beginning of the end. He didn't just say wars. He said kingdom against kingdom.
Now, for centuries, scholars have debated what this actually means. But what if the answer has been hiding in the Old Testament all along? What if one of the kingdom against kingdom wars in Matthew 24 is the exact same war described in Daniel 8?
If this connection is true, it changes everything. It means the birth painans of the end times begin with a very specific conflict between Iran and Turkey. Yeah, modern day nations.
And the terrifying part, the political conditions for this war aren't just possible, they are forming right now. Welcome to the channel. I'm Nelson Walters and this is Applied Bible Prophecy.
And if you're just joining us, we're in the middle of a miniseries, a master class on Daniel chapter 8. And this is the fourth video. In this miniseries, we've established that when Jesus gave his great end time sermon, the Olivet discourse, Matthew 24, he was using Daniel chapter 8 as his master sequence, as his template for that sermon.
And today we're going to link the words of Jesus in that sermon of Matthew 24 back to Daniel 8 and make it all make sense. In Matthew 24, the disciples asked Jesus, "What will be the sign of your coming? " Jesus listed out false messiahs, wars, rumors of wars, but he explicitly said, "The end is not yet.
" Then in verse 7, his tone changes. He says, "For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. " These are the beginning of birth pangs.
Most people just gloss over this and say to themselves, "Ah, that just means more fighting. " But in a biblical worldview, those words kingdom versus kingdom carry great prophetic weight. I believe the evidence proves that the war detailed in Daniel 8, the collision between the ram and the goat, is the fulfillment, at least partial fulfillment of kingdom against kingdom.
And it's a sign. It is the sign. Now, there may be other wars at the same time, but this is the event that kicks the door open to the birth painans.
It is the sign of that period. We know that because if Jesus was using Daniel 8 as his template for teaching in Matthew 24, it's the segment of Daniel 8 that's parallel to kingdom versus kingdom. And it only makes sense if Jesus was going to give this as a sign that there would be a specific kingdom versus kingdom conflict involved.
So the question we have to ask today are the conditions ready for this prophecy to be fulfilled. And to do that we have to look beyond the simple headlines of the day to the deep geopolitical realities that are in the world right now and then the headlines will make more sense. So, are the conditions ready for this prophecy to be fulfilled?
Today, we are going to walk through a prophetic checklist. We're going to look at the specific political changes occurring in Turkey and Iran, yes, modern nations, right now. And we're going to see if they match the requirements of Daniel 8.
Because if they do, then the birth painans are about to begin. But before we get into geopolitics, we need to do what we always do on this channel, which is start with the theology. We have to start with the Bible.
Because if this doesn't match what the Bible's saying, then it's not worth going into. So, is the kingdom versus kingdom sign that we talked about reflective of the war in Daniel 8? Jesus makes a distinction in Matthew 24:7.
He says, "Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. " In the Greek, nation against nation is ethnosepethnos. This means ethnic conflict.
We see this all the time. Civil wars, tribal conflicts, they are tragic, but they've happened throughout history and are happening right now. Just look at the news.
Just look at the United States. But kingdom against kingdom is basilia epibbecilia in the Greek. A basilia is a realm, a dominion, a monolithic power structure.
It represents a clash of civilizations. Think about the structure of Islam that makes up a quarter of the earth's population. It is divided into two kingdoms.
You have a Shia kingdom led by Iran which accounts for about 15% of Muslims and you have the Sunni kingdom the vast majority about 85%. And for centuries these two kingdoms have been in tension. But Jesus tells us that the birth pains the labor pains that lead to the return of Messiah begin when these two kingdoms go to war.
And why is this the beginning? Why is this the start? Well, because it's going to change the world's map and it's going to create a vacuum and into that vacuum is going to come the antichrist.
Daniel 8 tells us the antichrist, the little horn, arises out of one of the four horns that come from the goat. He doesn't appear until after the goat has destroyed the ram. Think about it logically then.
The war between the ram and the goat has to happen before the little horn, the antichrist, and before the great tribulation can fully begin. It is the precursor. It is the beginning of birth painans.
So, if we want to know what time it is biblically, we should not begin by looking for the Antichrist. He doesn't come first. We should begin by looking for the ram and the goat.
And we're going to look at the ram first. Daniel 8:20 explicitly identifies the ram as the kings of Media and Persia. Geographically, they occupy the exact same landmass that is modern-day Iran and part of Iraq.
Iran is the modern-day ram. The first condition on our checklist is a push. The prophecy says the ram pushes or headbutts his way west, north, and south, and that no animal could stand before him.
He did according to his will and he became great. And for the last 20 years since the destabilization of Iraq by the United States, we have watched this prophecy play out literally westward. Iran pushed into Iraq, effectively controlling its government and its militias.
They pushed into Gaza, controlling it through Hamas. They pushed northward into Lebanon through Hezbala and into Syria to prop up the Assad regime. And they pushed southward.
They pushed into Yemen through the Houthis. They did according to their will as we read in Daniel 8. And none of the regional powers in the Middle East stood up to them and stopped them.
None of the international powers did that either. And because of that, they became great. But here's the critical point.
The prophecy only implies a season of greatness. It's followed by a collapse. And we are currently witnessing the end of the great phase.
If you watch the news, you can tell that the ram is crumbling. Hzbala's leadership has been decimated. Hamas is degraded.
Assad lost Syria. The Iranian economy is in a freef fall. Why does this matter?
Well, biblically in Daniel 8 verse 7, we read that when the goat finally does attack the ram, no one could come to its aid. It implies isolation. And when we look at the world, we can see that its proxies are no longer there to help protect it.
They have lost their power. Iran is all alone in the world. No one can come to its aid.
We are witnessing the drying up of the ram's power. Think about it. This loss of power is what invites an attack.
When a predator realizes that a prey is weak, that's when it strikes. However, there is one specific condition regarding the ram that we must watch for. A condition that has not yet fully formed.
Daniel says the ram has two horns. One horn comes up last and is higher or greater than the first. Now these horns represent leadership in Iran.
And currently there is only one horn that is supreme. That's the supreme leader or what you call the Ayatollah. Yes, there's a president and he has some power, but he is really a minor figure.
So, for all this time, there's been one horn. But for the prophecy to be perfectly fulfilled, we need to see a shift in Iran's leadership structure. The text requires two distinct powers or leaders with the second one becoming dominant.
Well, how could this happen? How could a second leader form? There are a few biblical possibilities.
There could be a military coup. The Revolutionary Guard or IRGC could take formal control of Iran, especially in these difficult times, and a military dictator could become the higher horn over the religious leadership. Point number two, the 12th IM.
You may have heard of him. He's the Islamic Messiah. And if a figure arises claiming to be the Shia Messiah, the Mai, he would instantly become the supreme authority because he's a divine being in their eyes.
He would be the higher horn. Or three, a transition of power could occur where there are two Ayatollas holding power simultaneously. the old one and the new one and the old one is sort of helping the new one learn the ropes.
We are not choosing one of those scenarios today. We're simply saying watch the news in Tyrron for this kind of thing. If you see a sudden shift in power in Iran where a religious figure or a new leader or a military coup takes place and there's someone new in power while there's still someone old in power, two horns, then you will know that [clears throat] this is being fulfilled.
Now let's pivot to the goat. If the ram is the Shia kingdom, the goat is the Sunni kingdom. Specifically, it's called the kingdom of Yaon.
As we've discussed in previous videos, Yeaon is the name of an ancient nation that existed on and around the Bosphorous Straits encompassing both Greece and northern Turkey. But look at the political condition of this beast. Daniel describes this goat moving with incredible speed without touching the ground.
In modern warfare, this signifies air superiority, drone swarms, united command structure. It could even represent a nuclear strike. You can't execute a war like that if you're a scattered group of nations.
This brings us to one of the most significant geopolitical events of our time that some are talking about but most aren't. The formation of an Islamic or Muslim NATO made out of Sunni nations. For one, Turkey is actively organizing the organization of Turkish states, standardizing their alphabet, trade, and their military equipment.
And nations like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan are signing agreements to work together. Why is this the goat forming? Because the goat is not just one nation.
In prophecy, the goat has a notable horn between its eyes. That's the leader. But the body of the goat represents the mass of the Sunni world.
And the Sunni goat is a sleeping giant. 85% of the Islamic population. For a century, this giant has been asleep, divided into squabbling nations like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan.
But the giant is waking up and it's coalesing around a leader Turkey. Turkey is building an independent military industrial complex. They're building their own fifth generation fighter jets, the Khan, and they are the world leaders in drone warfare.
Why is this a necessary condition? Because to fulfill Daniel 8, you can't be dependent on the United States for your F-16 parts. You can't be dependent on Russia.
You must be self-sufficient. Add to that the nuclear power of Pakistan and the money of Saudi Arabia, and it forms an infrastructure for the end times. They're positioning themselves as the protector of the Sunni world against what they claim are the heretic Shia Ram.
Then we are told something incredible by scripture. This goat is going to be ruled by a single horn, a single prominent horn. Think what that means.
It requires a new empire, a new government ruled by one man. And if this is a confederation, it means they all bow to this one new leader in this new government. So ask yourself, will people think this man is the antichrist?
In the game of guess the antichrist, he will be an incredibly attractive choice, more than any that we have today. But all these guesses will be wrong. The little horn, the real antichrist, comes after this man dies.
But I'm guessing most Christians will think that he is the one. That's why this sequence is so important. It's going to keep you from being deceived and not looking to the right place and the right time.
So, we have the ram forming and we have the goat coalescing. What's missing? What's going to strike the match and light this world on fire with this goat and ram war?
In the Bible, we read that when the goat comes at the ram, he comes at him in the fury or wrath of his power. The goat is angry at the ram. The goat comes at him with furious rage.
Something has really ticked him off. What could trigger such rage? from the Sunni world against Iran.
One, a religious trigger. If Iran were to openly declare their arrival of their 12th imam, like we talked about, or to try and seize Mecca, the Sunni world would view this as an existential religious threat. They would attack to destroy the heresy.
Sunnis expect a Sunni Messiah. They will not tolerate a Shia one. two could be a military trigger.
As the ram crumbles, it might lash out. A miscalculated missile strike on a Turkish city or Sunni capital that would ignite a war. And that's very likely as they see their economy crumbling, they might try to do something to retain power.
And three, the nuclear trigger. If Iran declares they have a nuclear weapon, well, Turkey, which likely has access to Pakistan's nuclear arsenal, may feel forced to strike preemptively. We don't know the actual trigger, but I can tell you this, the air is full of gasoline.
So, we've examined the conditions, but where are we on God's timeline? Let's look at our checklist. Number one, the identity of the ram.
Confirmed. Historic Persia and Iran. Two, the push of the ram.
Confirmed. West, north, and south have been pushed for 20 years. Three, the crumbling of the ram necessary for no one to come to his aid.
Happening now. Proxies are falling. Isolation is increasing.
Four, the formation of the GOAT. It's forming now. The Islamic NATO and Turkish military are all accelerating.
Number five, the leadership shift. Two horns in Iran. Well, that's pending.
We are watching for the change in Iran's government. And the goat has to shift to a first king. That is also pending.
It requires a new government, a new empire. And then number six, the trigger event that is also pending. So obviously a few things have to happen.
We are not at the collision just yet. We are in the formation phase, the watching phase. But when these kingdoms come together and clash, the birth pangs have officially begun.
We can say that because that is the sign. And that is why Jesus told us to watch. Not to be scared, but to be prepared.
Because when these things happen, look up. That's where our help comes from. In our next video, we're going to look at what happens immediately after the goat and ram war.
Daniel 8 informs us of this also. Who are the four horns that replace the goat's leader? Are they part of the 10 horns or the 10 kings?
And how does the antichrist rise from them? You know, I follow the communists and you have been asking about the these 10 horns, the 10 kings repeatedly and our current events like the board of peace part of this. We're going to answer that next.
