his journey in Super Mario Bros 3 he gets an instant harrowing reminder of the tragic death of his brother Luigi not long ago as his iconic green hat slowly falls down Mario reaches out for it bursting into tears in his memory as Mario is obligated to play the game as it's his role whether as a game character or in his own Universe an entity that is required to go through different levels as his job he is left with no choice than to go through what he did before despite feeling broken and lost without his brother
pulling himself through the levels he comes across a blacked out version of the map when he falls to his knees being unable to continue and act as if nothing happened that's when he hears a familiar voice belonging to no other than his late brother Luigi Mario unable to believe his ears he runs towards the source of the sound coming across a large clone of Luigi thinking optimistically that this could be a supernatural occurrence where his brother could have come back to life being deformed the way he is he asks if it's really Luigi who's standing
in front of him when Luigi in a horrifying manner transforms into a more monstrous form with his jaw hanging to abnormally impossible lengths when he grabs Mario with ease and lifts him up confirming that it is really him when he bites off Mario's head [Music] with a familiar failure soundtrack being carried Mario or in this scenario the players think it's game over and Mario should start from the beginning when this version of Luigi states that this is far from over and that it's just the beginning that's when Mario is back on the map menu going
back to the starting point thinking the game would just simply return but to his and player surprise couple of hands appear from behind the map holding it tightly causing the map to snap in half with the Demonic Luigi appearing announcing that it's time to go to the next level as Luigi opens his mouth Mario's hat and a pair of eyes are seen depicting how Mario is trapped within him still but an astral version of Mario seemingly his Consciousness falls from the sky into the deep Long Abyss as Mario awakens he finds himself in world number
two which is a dark and grim4s covered in large leafless spiky trees and broken floors leading to pools of blood Mario asking himself to whom he just encountered knowing for certain this entity is just an imposter adopting the appearance of Luigi it goes on exploring the new world when the Demonic Luigi appears every so often as seemingly looking like a ghost being a deadly threat as long as Mario keeps moving and looking at the ghostly Luigi he disappears not harming him otherwise he would reach into his brain and kill him instantly the deeper Mario travels
into this grim and haunting place he finds cars with blood trickling down their Windows as of displaying turtle signs of how Luigi could have died leading to Mario being contented by his memories as Maria passes the level Luigi appears to him once more having a twisted neck and gouge that ice informing him that it's still not over Mario as a result being terrified goes to the next level in this world finding himself in a large cave with many stacks of rocks which you can conveniently use to temporarily hide from the Demonic Luigi who appears on
the other side of the perspective who would kill Mario if he spots him managing to stay hidden and past this level he encounters Luigi once more who offers him an additional life this reveals how Luigi is playing with them and tormenting him for some ambiguous reason which will be revealed later in the game the next level is a horrifying realization that toad had been butchered by the Demonic Luigi which starts to make Mario breakdown more and more being mentally weakened for what he's yet to face in the next level Mario faces a few roaming friendly
NPCs who unveil parts of the mystery and why did the Demonic Luigi as tormenting them they all speak of something upsetting that happened between Luigi and Mario with one specific person confronting Mario why he did something specific to Luigi especially as Luigi trusted him maybe that explains is why Mario is hunted by a demonic version of Luigi scenes of a car incident and why Mario cannot find it with him himself to move on it's more than just a tragedy that affected him it's the debilitating feeling of guilds that doesn't leave Mario hence why the turtle
itself has telltale signs of what happened feeling Mario's sense of guilt by saying how it's too late for Mario to be able to change anything or atone for his deeds [Music] scattered many levels open chests which confront Mario telling him that it's all his fault and that he will pay for his actions further confirming all of this is happening because of something Mario did something that had irreversible consequences which to this day eats Mario from within being unable to carry on Mario having enough struggling to continue with this haunting World seeks himself in the mirror
as a monster reflecting on his past Deeds managing to go to the final level Mario is hunted severely by Luigi who rushes him to get to the princess before it's too late as Mario goes deeper into the level he starts being reminded what this place is the castle he visited in the past where he wanted to save the princess this leads Mario to the bridge over the lover where he had a battle with Bowser when the Demonic Luigi appears reminding him in flashbacks of what happened the agonizing Cannon past event which triggered all of this
is revealed to be the accidental death of Luigi in a battle Mario had with Bowser when he cut the chain to drop the bridge and kill bouncer Luigi was on the bridge as well which led to his painful death in the burning lover this leads to the severe depressive state to Mario as in blaming himself for Luigi's Death feeling guilty while he caught the bridge without checking and ensuring his brother's safety mysteriously Luigi's Soul becomes vengeful and hostile after his death Seeking Justice and punishment for Mario for what happened to him despite Luigi's benevolent and
friendly personality he becomes the opposite which I believe to be because he died in the castle of Bowser which could potentially possess a bad and evil Aura Luigi's Soul seemingly was affected by fear revenge and the hateful Aura and Spirits in the castle which made them transform into too late.exe or simply Mr L at demonic and vengeful soul of Luigi this vengeful soul of Luigi hunted Mario down to liver punishment equal or worse than the faith he got due to Mario's mistake keep in mind Luigi typically would move on and not punish Mario for a
mistake even as bad as this one is especially as Mario is severely affected by Luigi's Death and extremely remorseful but the spirit is a corrupted version of Luigi at the end Luigi cuts the chain dropping Maria into the burning lava as well to deliver the same fate that he got as Mario burned slowly sinking deeper into the lava Luigi turns to the screen and informs the players that it's too late to save Mario with the game closing revealing how Mario cannot be revived anymore resetting the game or replaying it the only question that remains is
