If you've been wanting to start an online business, but you're just not sure where to begin, I'm going to give you a simple 90-day plan that you can follow step by step. This is the exact online business model that now brings in more than $47,219 a month for me. And it's the same system that anyone can use to get started with digital products, too.
By the end of this video, you'll know exactly what to focus on every month, what not to waste time on, and how to finally get your first digital product sales. So, let's dive in. So, first, let's talk about why this online business model, digital products, works so well.
Personally, I have been making a full-time living from digital products since 2014. And I've had different businesses over the years as well, from a service-based photography business to a blogging business about lowcarb eating to an education business to photographers to now the business I do now helping people create and sell their own digital products with YouTube so they can have more time and financial freedom. And what I've learned over the years from these different businesses is that digital products is my absolute favorite.
It makes the most money. It gives me the most free time. And I'm able to help the most people.
And when I'm talking about selling digital products, I'm talking about digital products like ebooks, workshops, courses, and memberships. These are digital products that you can create once and sell over and over again. And once you launch that product and get it selling, then you can automate it for that consistent income.
And this is exactly why I love this business model so much because once upon a time I was a service-based photography business owner working around the clock and not being able to scale further because I simply didn't have any more time to give. And that's what I love about digital products is that you're not trading all of your time for money. Of course, you are trading some time for money in the beginning when you are building out the foundation of your business, creating your digital product, but it's so scalable.
You create the digital product once and of course you can iterate it and improve it over time if you'd like. But the great thing is you're really making it that one time and you're making sales consistently again and again and again. It is one of the most scalable business models and it is the best return for your time where you're putting in that time upfront and it scales beyond and can give you a ton of free time and make you sales while you're sleeping, traveling, hanging out with family, friends, shopping, whatever it is you want to do.
I also love this business model because I feel like it's really beginner friendly. You don't need inventory. You don't need employees.
There's no shipping costs. There's no tariffs. And you can get started for very low to even free.
We're going to go more in depth in this in this video, but just to give you a quick little taste, I bring in traffic for my digital products from YouTube, which is free. I also use a software called system. io, which you can get a totally free account in the link in the description below this video.
And it's not a free trial, it's a free account. You can make your checkout page. You can make your website.
You can start building your email list. You can do all these things with this software for free to start making your first sales. Digital products are also very high in demand.
We're talking this is more than a 300 plus billion dollar industry where people are wanting to get education online through the form of digital products like courses, memberships, ebooks, workshops, and more. Now, let's talk about how much money you could make with digital products. Now, last year we were averaging $50,000 months.
Now, the first year I went all in on YouTube and launched Freedom Creator Club, I made just over six figures in the first year. And that might not sound like a ton of money, maybe because it is revenue, of course, but I was able to keep most of that as profit because I didn't have any employees. I didn't have a lot of expenses.
I was simply just selling from YouTube to a checkout page. That's it. And I was able to make six figures in the first year of Freedom Creator Club.
Now, the second year, which was 2024, we did just about $240,000 in sales. And this is as we were able to scale up YouTube, scale up our sales, but again, no ads. This was just solely YouTube to a checkout page.
And then last year, we were able to do over $500,000 in sales. And again, no ads. This is just YouTube to a checkout page.
Now, my results, I'm sure, are not typical. I have been doing this since 2014. I have a lot of experience with this.
But even when I got started that first year in 2014, it wasn't even a full year. I believe it was only 6 months in 2014 that I did it and I was able to make over $50,000. Now, yes, I had business experience with my photo studio, but I didn't have any experience with digital products.
And of course, I'm not promising your results, but I just want to give you an idea of what I've been able to do and what could be possible for you, too. And if you want my full in-depth ondemand free training of how to come up with your profitable digital product idea, make your first sales to launch your digital product, and of course automate those sales for consistent income, go ahead and register your totally free seat for my ondemand training. It's the first link in the description below this video.
Okay, now that you know what this business model is, why it's great, and how much money you could potentially make, let's actually dive into the first part of the challenge. Now, if you want to sell anything, there is one thing you're going to need, no matter what type of business you have, and that is traffic. So, the first part of this challenge in the first 30 days, I want you to focus on growing a real audience that is in your niche that would potentially purchase your digital product.
And yes, if you don't already have a following, I want you to do this before you create your digital product. You want to grow an audience so that you have people to talk to to actually figure out what their pain points are so you actually know which type of digital product to create. Now, if you already have an audience on YouTube, keep watching, but the next steps are going to be even better for you.
So, as you heard, year 1 over six figures, year two 240ish,000 in revenue, year three over $500,000 in revenue, and this all came from YouTube organically for free, no ads. So yes, this is exactly what I want you to focus on is YouTube. And listen, I've been that girl selling digital products since 2014.
I've been on Periscope, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn. I have done all of them and tons of ads as well. And I am here to tell you that YouTube is the thing that is working the best, the most profitably.
And you know what? Nothing is easy, but it is simple. What you want to do is put out at least one video every single week that speaks to your ideal person.
That way you can start to build up your YouTube, but also start to build up your email list so that you have a list of ideal customers you can sell your digital product to when you're ready to sell. So think about what is the topic you want to teach, what are you good at, what is something you could help somebody with, and who is it that you want to help? That is going to become your niche, and that is what you're going to make videos about every single week on your channel to start to grow an audience.
And again, this is totally free. Anyone can do this. You don't need any special certifications.
You don't need a special degree. And you don't need any special equipment. In fact, my friend Nancy has a channel with about 80,000 subscribers.
And she has always filmed with just her cell phone. You can absolutely do this with the stuff you already have totally for free. But the only difference between you and someone who is successful with this already is that they decided to get started.
So, what I want you to do first is decide right here and right now. Is this going to be a one day thing or is this going to be your day one? If you are all in on this challenge, go ahead in the comments and comment day one.
And what I want you to do is spend those first 30 days of this 90-day challenge posting a YouTube video every single week to start growing your audience. And by the way, I know this video is about making money with digital products, but a little bit of a side note here with YouTube. Yes, you get to make a ton of money with digital products when you grow your audience, but little known fact, if you stick with YouTube, you can eventually get monetized.
And what that means is YouTube will start to pay you to make videos. So, I got monetized August of 2023. And now I'm making around $5,000 a month in addition to my digital product sales.
And we also book brand deals in some of these videos as well, which is extra money, too. So, all of that to say, YouTube will never be a waste of your time. Because yes, I think digital products is the best business model and I want that for you.
But if for some reason you find out it's not for you or you don't end up doing it. Growing on YouTube is not a waste. You're still going to get paid from AdSense.
You could still get brand deals. You could still use that audience to sell any type of product or service that you want to. Okay.
So now let's talk about what to focus on for the next 30 days for month two. So, what I want you to focus on in month two is creating a freebie so that you can start to move your YouTube viewers to email subscribers. Now, why do you want an email list?
Well, first and foremost, you want an email list because this is an asset that your business is actually going to own. Whereas YouTube and social media, this is like rented assets. It's not something you own.
You could get shut down. Obviously, it's very unlikely, but just saying you want an asset that you own. And the other thing with email is when you send an email, just about every single person actually receives that email.
It's of course up to them if they want to open it or not. But with YouTube, there's no way to really reach every single subscriber, right? Or every single person.
Email is also 40 times more likely to make sales than social media alone. That is a stat that has been talked about online for many years and I have also seen that to be true as well. So email is very important.
So, what you want to do to move your YouTube viewers to email subscribers is you want to create what's called a freebie. This is a free digital product that's going to be very small that's going to get someone a quick win and prepare them to be ready to purchase your digital product. Now, of course, you might not be 100% set on what digital product you're going to sell yet, and that's totally fine.
But you do know who you're talking to and what is the main thing you're going to help them with. So, you want to make a digital product similar to that. So, for example, on my channel, I'm helping people create and sell their own digital products with YouTube so they can have more time and financial freedom, right?
So, one of my digital products is a freebie that's going to help them come up with what digital product they should sell. This is one of the things that holds people back from joining my Freedom Creator Club membership is they're like, I don't know what digital product to sell. So, that's why I have a freebie that will help them do that because once they know that, then they're more likely to actually join and buy my digital product.
And that's what I want for you, too. So, think about what freebie you could create. And again, this could be something you already have made.
This could be a template, a script. You want something that's as done for you as possible, something very quick to get them a quick win. You don't want this to be like a 30page ebook or a course or something really big.
You want this to be something very quick that they can put into play like a script or a template or maybe like a three-page ebook, something very short to get them a quick win. It's also going to have them saying, "Wow, if this freebie has this much value, what's in their paid product? " And what you want to do is in every single one of your YouTube videos, mention two to three times your freebie in the description below the video.
That way, you are moving your YouTube viewers to email subscribers. And I just want to remind you again that I have a totally free on demand workshop that will walk you through every step of this to finding your profitable digital product to learning how to launch it to make those first sales and of course learning how to automate for consistent income. And you'll also learn how you can get your hands on my tools, my scripts, my templates, everything to make this process faster and easier.
So go ahead, register your totally free seat. It is the first link in the description below this video. All right, so now let's talk about what you should do for month three.
This is the final 30-day stretch, and I think you're going to find this the most fun and the most surprising. Now, what you want to do in these last 30 days is you're going to want to pre-ell your digital product. Let me explain.
Now, most beginners when they get started with digital products, they think that they have to spend weeks, months, years building out their digital product before they sell it. But that could not be more of a worse move. Trust me.
In fact, when I have people come up to me and say, "I've been working on this digital product for x weeks, x months, x years. " That is a huge red flag to me that unfortunately tells me they're probably not going to make sales with their digital product. Now, the reason that is is because most of the time those people are not asking their audience what their actual most painful problem is and then solving it with the digital product.
And they're also not getting data and proof that people are going to buy it before they actually create it. What they're doing is they're creating it going, "Well, this is what I want to create or this is what I think they will buy. " And that could not be more of a worse move.
What you want to do to guarantee your digital product is going to sell is you want to actually pre-ell it. So what that means is you're going to build a check out page. Super simple.
There's templates in system. io. You can get a free account in the link in the description below my video.
And on the check out page, all you want is the name of the digital product, what's included, and in one to two sentences, what's the transformation that your digital product is going to help them achieve. And of course, you're going to come up with a price for your digital product to create the check out page so they can actually buy it. Right now, you're probably thinking, "Well, okay, that's great, but if someone buys it, there's no digital product to deliver.
" Yes and no. So, what you want to do is if you're making a big course for your digital product, I would recommend just building out lesson one. That's it.
Okay? And then making this check out page to pre-sell it. That way, if people buy it, they have lesson one.
And you're going to be clear on the checkout page to tell them lesson one is ready and waiting for you. Lesson two will be dropped on X date. You can also say module one is ready for you.
Module two will be released month two, module three will be released month three, etc. , etc. , etc.
So, you're actually able to have time to create the digital product and get paid to create it because you're going to create it only if it actually sells. If it doesn't sell, then you've only wasted time making one lesson or one module, right? The other thing you could do is you can pre-sell it with nothing made at all.
So, let's say you're selling a workshop digital product. You could pre-ell it and say this workshop is happening live on this day and it could be a month out and that gives you a whole month to create the workshop if it sells. If it doesn't sell, you are out nothing, right?
You are out nothing because how much would it if you spent weeks, months, years building a digital product, you go to sell it and it doesn't sell. So please do not do this. This is like the number one mistake and I tell people this over and over and over and they still go and do this.
So, please, I'm begging you, don't do this. As someone who has made over $9 million in revenue from digital products, I've been doing this full-time since 2014. I have awards, accolades.
I've been in masterminds. I've paid 80 grand a year for like, trust me, I know what I'm talking about. Please do not waste your time, money, and tears.
Pre-ell your digital product. So, to be clear, in the final 30 days, you're going to make a check out page with the title of the digital product, what's included, when each component is released, and then, of course, you're going to have a price and an actual form for them to fill out so they can buy it. Then, what you want to do is write a series of emails to your email list to move your email subscribers to the checkout page so you can get your first sales for your digital product.
Now, I still want to talk about the mental blocks that get in the way of most beginners being successful. But really quickly, I want to sum up. The first 30 days, you're going to be growing on YouTube.
The second 30 days, you're going to be making your freebie and moving your YouTube viewers to email subscribers. And the final 30 days, you're going to be pre-selling your digital product. Like, how cool is it that you could be making sales just 90 days from now?
All right. So, I'm going to answer some commonly asked questions because I really want to help you guys break through those mental blocks that a lot of beginners selling digital products have. And again, before I do, if you haven't registered for my free on demand workshop, that is the best next step.
It's really going to hold you accountable and give you exact steps to do, even more so than we covered in this short video. So, go ahead, register your seat for my free on demand training. It's the first link in the description below this video.
Okay, so the first commonly asked question is, what if I'm starting from zero? like zero audience, zero digital products, zero sales. Well, you're exactly who I made this video for.
That's exactly what I've been talking about. First 30 days, you're going to start growing on YouTube from zero. Use what you have.
Use your cell phone. This is not going to cost you money, okay? And you don't need to get fancy with your editing.
You don't need to hire people. Make your thumbnails yourself in Canva for free. Edit the video really quickly in like iMovie or don't edit it at all if you don't need to.
Try to keep things really simple. And again, if you're just starting and you don't have a ton of money too, system. io is free.
I have that linked in the description below as well. Okay, a second common question I get asked a lot is, "What if people don't support me? " Like, what if your family, friends, people who you tell you're doing this don't support you?
Well, I would tell you first and foremost, like the cutthroat Molly version of this answer would be maybe you don't need those people in your life. Um, I'm going to give you like a softer answer, too. But to be honest, I have really cold uh my friends to the point where there's I don't have any friends that don't support the things that I do, right?
I mean, that's what friends are for. I don't want some naysayer negative person in my life who's poo pooing my ideas. You know what I mean?
Obviously, there's good instances of that, like if people on your team are challenging an idea in a good way to think of, you know, how can we make this better or maybe this isn't a good fit. But if you're saying to someone like, "Oh my gosh, I'm starting my own business. I'm so excited.
" And they're like, "Don't do that. Everyone fails. " No, no, no, no, no.
And they're being like super naysayer. Personally, I do not surround myself with people like that. So, something to think about.
The other thing is you don't have to tell people you're doing this, right? When Mr Beast got started on YouTube, if you don't know who that is, he's the biggest YouTuber literally in the world. And when he first got started on YouTube, everyone around him thought he was an idiot for doing YouTube.
Even his own mother was like, "Go to college. stop doing YouTube. Stop wasting your time.
And he actually told her he was going to college and he registered for college, but he didn't go to any of the classes. And he sat in the parking lot in his car and edited YouTube videos. And here's what's crazy is nobody believed him and nobody encouraged him until he was successful.
Once he became successful, he unenrolled from college and told his mom. And it becomes really hard not to support someone when you're seeing the evidence of their success. So another thing to consider is maybe don't tell people.
just go ahead and start doing it, right? And then they'll see your success unfold. They'll see you gaining subscribers eventually when you tell them.
They'll see you gaining sales eventually when you tell them. And it's going to be hard for them to say, "Oh, well this won't work or you shouldn't do that. " when they're already seeing you have momentum with it.
Okay. Another common question is, "What if this doesn't work fast enough? " Well, I would say don't put yourself in a situation where you're like, "I need money from this yesterday.
" Because that is just not how business works. If you're building a real business, which is what we're talking about here, it is going to take time. It is going to take effort.
Okay? There is no such thing as an overnight success. Every business owner I've known who supposedly has an overnight success behind the scenes has been a business owner in some other capacity for years or studied under another business owner or worked for another business owner, right?
There is no such thing as a get-richqu or a make money overnight. That does not exist. So, you need to put yourself in a situation where you can take the time you need to do this.
So, if you are right now unemployed and you're like, I want to start a business to make money yesterday and I need to pay my rent tomorrow. That is not like a situation that's going to work out. Okay?
If you need money yesterday, you need to get a job. And then what you do is you do your business on the side until it more than pays for your job. Then you can quit that job and go all in on your business.
The other thing you could do is get a part-time job and then work on your business part-time. But make sure you have your bills and living expenses and things paid for while you're building your business because it's going to take time. Now, can you do this in 90 days?
It's absolutely possible, right? But it's up to you. No one's going to come in and save you.
No one's going to come in and do the work for you. You have to really commit to this. You have to put in the time and the effort to start growing on YouTube, to start growing your email list, to pre-ell that digital product and make sure it's a digital product that actually solves a painful problem.
It's up to you. I can share this information with you all day, every day. This is the info that works for me.
This is how I've made over $9 million in revenue from digital products. This is how I've made a full-time living since 2014. I don't have a rich family.
I don't have a rich husband. Like I started my first business with 81 cents to my name while I was living with my grandma after I dropped out of college. It is absolutely possible, but you need to take ownership of your results.
Decide you're actually going to do it and then actually do it. So, is this going to be one day or day one? Comment day one if you're committed and you're serious about making digital product sales.
And of course, register for that workshop that's linked in the description below so you can take that next step to actually start taking action. Now that you know how to commit to this online business of digital products for 90 days, you might be wanting to know how to commit further to YouTube and what steps you should be doing. But how do you do that?
Well, it all starts with watching this next video here. Because when you pair what you just learned with what's in this video, it's going to be way more powerful. See you in the next video.
Bye.
