hi set a timer for 13 minutes two days ago an app called bytes came out basically it's vine - it was made by one of the cofounders of vine but it's vine two years too late because take talking long and literally everyone forgot about mine I spend the last 24 hours on byte you know seen what's up just like looking around and it wasn't fun I hated it we'll get into that later but first let me just start by saying I'm probably like not trying to hug myself football whatever but I'm probably the best person
to frickin make this video because I've been following byte for like ever since vine died like as soon as buy died and dom hoffman the creator and vine announced that he was were gonna work on vine - i turn on his post notifications I was getting every single update whenever there was an update I know the whole development process of buying - and then I'm cancelling it and then then be like we're not making anything and then they're like guys we're making bike because we don't want to go sued by Twitter on vine anyways I've
been waiting for this day for a very long time so two days ago I downloaded it I was one of the very first people downloaded I got the tweet notification saying that it was out I'm like mug and I downloaded it and right off the bat someone had stolen my username if you don't know me I am a big talker someone stole my username Ben of the week so I made a byte saying I was like this is for Rachel you big fat white nasty-smelling you know and I was like you better give me my
username back and to my surprise someone DM me on Instagram they're like hi um I actually have your username if you want it I'll give it to you and then they gave it to me so I have the at the end of the week if you want to follow me on bye so when I downloaded it I was like okay time to post a video so I just found something in my camera and it was me just dancing freaking vibing to a Playboy cardi song literally meant nothing and I posted it and then I think
I went to bed like I scrolled through a little bit and I was like okay like it's an app like I don't know let's say it looks exactly like tick tock or vine like mixed together if they have a little baby and so I went to bed and when I woke up fire hell fire my bite had gotten around I think 11,000 views which is kind of like I was like kind of a lot so I can absolutely just started like a day ago but what's even worse is the comments I guess the demographic on
bite is very much people who are like I don't know who are like adults when vine came out and are now 30 or something like I don't know people like late 20s to 30s is a lot of the people on by my friend eaten is ugly he made a really good point he's like all it is right now is just people trying to channel old vine energy and they're like but add a poop banana fart like you got the whole squad laugh and a lot of these people are very very bitter very bitter that tape
talkers are on you and they um Kalama ties to my video and decided to take up their bitterness on me I guess it had been on like their popular page which is a thing they have a popular page and then like kind of like a for you page it's like I don't really know how it works but I woke up to it having like 11,000 views now I think it has like now has 23,000 that's great but was not great with the comments on this here's some Kissin your some readings generation Z is literally a

see it was not very well received so um that was what happened to my first video I truly don't know why they would put that on the popular page like I'm sure that the owner of bite doesn't want stuff like this on the popular page they want it to be like vine humor I guess so I don't know why I got there or how I got there but it did and then it occurred to me like I really don't care what I put on this app like I realized now the demographic and the kind of
people out on this app so I just started disheartened after showering I decided to just post like what the freaking ever and so now what I've been posting is fake talk dances I discovered that it would be so funny to just post dance after dance it cuz they get so mad like these these bite users get so mad when they see a tick tock dance for no reason so I started posting them because like I actually don't care what these old little party parties have to say about my bite videos okay and then I posted
this video I captioned it thirty year olds when Charlie joins the app and does one renegade dance which I think is their biggest year they're like I posted that once again they got a little bit angry but thankfully I got some of y'all who are in the comments defending me don't found the video funny I appreciate you I love y'all but then today this morning when I woke up I was scrolling through my popular page and I saw my friend Abbi she made a video on there just doing the renegade you know as a joke
and oh my god so the video got 129 thousand views as of now it has a thousand comments in five thousand likes it's literally terrible with people who are commenting which like it's clearly clearly a joke like no chair talker in January 2020 is hitting the renegade and it being serious it is always a joke if you see someone hitting the renegade just let that be the law so she posted this link and it's a joke and for an app that is supposed to be channeling vine humor which is mostly jokes these comments are so
toxic but I'll just read a few just you can see how angry these people are get the f off bite go to take Todd get off this app please stop I can't take any more it doesn't and you said well it does make sense the people commenting this are people who don't know what say talking is and they don't know they can't take a joke that part of an average person's brain where you can take a joke [ __ ] is a whoop flew out the window so so so far that's been my experience on
tick-tock as for like other people's content that I've seen on there I have seen a few good ones um there's this one girl let me put her video here Oh No smoking weed is illegal but alcoholism like that's good content like that's funny and original and like I like it and I don't even think she's like a content creator unless she was on vine or something like I looked her up he has like 500 followers on Instagram but then I saw that she hit like a million loops which is really cool so she's popping off
go her other than that it just feels like really forced like humor it's like people are trying to revive something that's been dead for so long and they're trying so hard to do it and it's not working like I said this has just been the first 24 hours of the app has been around who knows where it'll go there was an app called photo which was actually created by the old crater if musically and it was supposed to be like kind of like Instagram and they had like a lot of craters that posted on there
but ultimately the app died because there was something that already existed exactly like it and I feel like that is the fate for bite tik-tok exists okay we don't need bite you can make a six second video on tick-tock and you can make it with way more tools like I'm obviously biased since I'm a tick talker but I truly don't see me for bite the nostalgia that people have from vine is not enough to keep this echoing and surviving if this came out like months after vine died heck yeah it could totally ride the wave
of like oh I miss vine but they were way too late for this tik-tok came along it's now the app for short videos this app is going nowhere period I'm not gonna lie it's fun to just like home stranded videos on here and I do like how they hide your follower accounts and it's like very much about the content and not like followers and numbers and stuff but good lord this app this it's a flaw it is a flaw but if you want to follow me on there my at is bed of the week and
