okay so do you remember me visiting this ruin site which was absolutely [Music] amazing but what I'm about to show you next is wow I just can't imagine how these people got up there and made this stuff I'm on my way there right now um this is something we can only see from above as it's just so high up and it's this really crazy uh Cliff face that has a cave in it that has some special stuff inside of it so that's where I'm going to go right now so let's go okay I'm on my
way down going to see this other site in a nearby Canyon and once you see it you're going to be absolutely shocked at how these people got there built what they did and look like they just kept living there just so amazing this beautiful Cota tree right here you turning yellow okay I'm going to get going down this Canyon and then hike over to this other site all right so the canyon is right behind me I'm going to hike up there a little ways and and bring you something that I've wanted to bring to you
for a long time now and it's it's just I think it's some of the best ruins out there and they're almost impossible to reach um and it just kind of shows like the ancestro pens were uh fearless and building these uh structures and Cliff Dwellings and stuff in these really high places and this is one of the most special places I'm bringing you today today um that I have seen and I hope you enjoy it because it's just going to you're you're just going to love it too I know it so yeah let's get going
and I'll show you here in a sec I hiked for another half mile on this left side over here just so I could get a view of this special site now I was located in a place that you wouldn't really expect and that just kind of tells us we don't really know the full context or the climate back then 750 to over a th000 years ago but I saw this cave first off and I thought there's a shadow there and I can't really see if there's anything there and I thought maybe there are some pictographs
or petroglyphs so I went in slowly and realized there just isn't anything and then it kept going up a little bit and as I was panning around I saw something in this little dark cave right here I flew in close and I realized that it's a ruin but something that struck me was there isn't much soot on the ceiling I don't see any do you see any I see some like Spillway marks like from the water coming over the edges and things but I don't see any soot from cooking so I wonder if this is
just a type of Grainery or a short-term living place or what might just be a storage and I'm trying to get close and far and it's kind of tricky with the Drone but I zoom in here because I thought I was like is that someone's jacket it's just uh it's just some grass it's just the weeds and the grass very beautiful uh structures you can see how they were made and then then I thought hey there might be more stuff down below so I was zooming in I was thinking oh there might be rockar down
here but then I see these stacked rocks it's only a couple but it's a hint that something was here was it a structure in the making were they starting something and then abruptly stopped I don't know oh yeah and then right here my drone lost connectivity even though I was directly across Canyon oh and then I got it working again and speaking of across Canyon I saw this other cave and I was thinking you know every cave has something in it which it doesn't but this one I flew in closely because I thought I saw
something but it ended up just being a little small seep coming through this cave then going back over here I just love seeing this I love the doorway I love the uh how it's built the masonry it's in great condition for being a thousand years old yeah it's in great condition there's not a roof of course and it's fallen down but it's just absolutely beautiful I was just trying to imagine myself how would I get to these ruins and I thought I saw some carved steps over here thinking you know maybe they climbed down to
this spot uh I don't see anything do you guys see anything and then I thought I saw some rock art on this kind of Darker covered patina or a desert varnish I didn't see anything of course which happens that's just part of exploring just seeing what's around and then this is just a view up Canyon I was trying to see what their view would look like and it's it's very narrow at the bottom not enough room to plant crops or anything um probably just a very small trickle of water when there's rain or snow melt
or things like that just a beautiful Canyon though and here's me flying up the canyon a little bit more trying to get views on the other side I'm sure the Ancients who were living here would go up and down this Canyon you know looking for resources for animals to hunt makes me wonder what else is around and then this this last cave so right here this is the place that is just so amazing you can already see it in the shadow here there's this amazing little village you can see a couple of rooms here probably
uh six or maybe seven just some of the most incredible ancient structures I've ever seen and they go right up to the ceiling do you notice that they they built right up into those cracks into those curves of the the natural face and natural look of the of the cave and the doorways wow look how amazing those doorways are and I'll get a little bit closer here in a second but I wanted to show A View From Another angle flying straight in look how straight down that is that is extremely Steep and I'm wondering how
did they get up there did they use ropes to climb down of course they didn't use ladders to climb up that is way too far look at this front structure here it looks different from the rest it doesn't seem to have mortar in it so does that mean it was remade or is it just the beginnings of a new structure that has yet to receive any mortar look at all the debris down below look at how much is crumbled which tells me there was a lot more going on here some of it might have been
purposeful destruction some of it might have been erosion uh we just don't know but there is a lot of debris up here rocks and things that tell me there was uh more structures up here yeah look at all that down here so was there another structure to the left here probably is the is this just resources that they gathered planning to build more possibly in hurry I'm looking over here just trying to get a view of what they had like look at this View and look at the top of these these structures they're purposely built
holes probably for smoke to exit their dwellings or the structures yeah you can also see the BL s marks from their fires wow I just love the masonry it's just so amazing imagine bringing up the water and the stones to this place this dangerous incredibly dangerous place to build something and looks like these uh rocks on top of this one here were just placed here by people who are visiting in modern time and I could be wrong these are just my ideas I was looking down below like is there anything down there I saw some
Cactus and things and I just kind of fly up here and did you see that do you see this this is how they got in there and I saw it and I I just knew like oh of course so these carved steps right here and they're very faded but it's it's clear to me that this is just what they used and of of course they might have used ropes and maybe a ladder or branches or something to make like a log Jam but it's clear these these carved steps eight of them we have seen these
before if you are a longtime Watcher of my channel you know just how much I love these ancient carved steps The ancestral plans would literally walk over mountains using them like these ones here that I found on a different trip the steps are used to help the ancients obviously get up Cliffs or to their [Music] buildings these steps here may not be as dramatic but they served a purpose and look how steep this is all the way down hundreds of feet to the very bottom it's just so amazing this really is a small cave if
you think about it why would they do this up here were they a escaping someone that's kind of my thought like these are in such a dangerous location that it's probably because they were hiding from people I mean how would you get down there it would only take one person really to guard this entrance you could easily throw a spear as they trying to come around this corner throw a spear or shoot an arrow or even chuck her rock at them and they would lose their balance and fall down [Music] I was just imagining what
else is down here and there's there's nothing in this little cave right here but yeah there's that cave from a distance it's it's it's amazing so they must have gotone uh access from above and hike down to it over those carved steps you would have no idea this is even here you would hike down in the canyon and if you're quiet you would even see it from Below [Music] exploring these ruins offers us a unique look into the lives of ancient people here and I'm thrilled to share these adventures with you if you enjoyed this
