Sam, welcome back to the show. We always love it when you're here. Uh you obviously know how to perform in front of a a crowd, an audience.
You're a theater uh background. Yeah, I am. Yeah.
Yeah. I started in theater and um actually was very lucky. I got to do a sort of full circle moment where I went back to my roots.
I just played McBTH. I can say it. There's no Oh, yeah.
No, not superstition. It was a superstition. In theater, you're not allowed to say the word.
I think if you say you've got to like stand up, turn around three times. Yes. Touch.
But here you can say cuz you're not I I was McBth so I think I'm all right. Yeah. Are you kidding me?
But um it was cool. We were at um YC the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford upon Haven which was Oh my gosh. That's a good thing.
Yeah. And we set it in a bar in a Scottish bar because obviously I'm very home at home there. And uh but it was kind of immersive for the audience because they were right in amongst it.
So they got you know they got blood, they got sweat, they got spit on them. It was it was fantastic. Oh my gosh.
They had to wear a poncho when they went. Yeah. That was a lot.
That was a lot. I guess going on a ride in a Zoom flume. Uh you've just stopped filming a new series now.
You just I I'm just filming right now. Actually, about two days ago, I was hanging partially upside down in in an elevator shaft. I'm doing like this action thriller called Embassy.
Um it's with an amazing cast. We've got Anna Kendrick, who's incredible, and the brilliant JK Simmons, who is just Oh, he's fantastic. Oh, I I could stare into that man's eyes all night.
He's quite like yours. I'm feeling staring. I know what you mean.
I'm looking at it right now. Wow. You're dreaming.
You are. Yeah. Yeah.
Uh but I do want to get into uh Outlander and talk about all that, but I I know that uh next month you're going to be the grand marshall for the 2026 New York City Tartan Day Parade. Come on. Come on down.
Come on. Now talk to me about the Tartan Day parade. Look at it.
Isn't it fantastic? It's great. A great day where we take over.
Scotland takes over the 6th Avenue. We're walking down there. I I believe actually we walked past uh your your offices here.

20 2014. This is when you started doing the Tonight Show as well. So, we've been doing about as long as you have.
Um but it's fantastic. It's a great day out. Come on down.
There'll be lots of bag pipes and and it's a real a real celebration of Scotland. Uh, I know you always uh you just said a great uh spokesman for Scotland and you have your own whiskey. Very successful.
Dude, thank you. Uh uh Sassinac. That's right.

And you actually have a giant distillery as well, right? We have. Yeah.
And I was born and raised in the southwest of Scotland, a place called Galloway. And it's this most amazing place. It's People don't really know much about it, but there's so much history, amazing coastline, castles, locks, great great dark history as well.
And we're very close to Ireland. You can see Ireland. It's only 12 mi away across across the water there.
But we've built uh the Galloway Distillery there. So, we're producing our own spirits down in the southwest of Scotland. So, you must come down.
I know you've been to Scotland. Oh, I had the greatest experience in Scotland. I know.
I've heard all about it. And I love that place you went to in Braar. It's It's the greatest hotel I've ever Five Arms.
Five Arms. But also Braar itself is where they hold the Highland Games. Oh, that place was the most charming place.
It looks like a Hallmark movie. It is. Next time you come, you It's that cute.
It's that cute. Like you, oh my god, this is all fake. Perfect.
Right. It's the most gorgeous, beautiful place ever. It's stunning.
Yeah. They all love you there. You got to feel get a hero's welcome when you go back.
Huh? I I love it there. I mean, I love Scotland as a whole, but I would love you guys to come and visit and come down to the South.
It's the most beautiful place on earth. I I can't wait to go back. I'm going to call you next time I go back cuz I cannot wait.
I think this is the most beautiful place on earth. Let's Let's talk about uh the the final season of Outlander. I mean, do we have to I know, dude.
Last time you were here, we were talking about you were filming it, but now it's it's kind of it's in the cannons. It's here. We had our premiere two nights ago in New York.
What? Is anyone there? Fantastic.
The fans were out overnight in the freezing cold. They waited 18 hours. They're here right now.
Yeah, they're thawing out. They're just thawing out right here. Yeah, they've been here frozen, right?
Yeah, exactly. Um, but it was such an amazing night to to celebrate with the fans, celebrate with all the cast. We're there.
It's been, you know, over a decade, 101 episodes. It's your It's your life. And we've said goodbye a quarter of my life.
Yes. Playing this character. Uh and there's the internet's kind of going crazy because there's rumors that your character may die.
I the internet. Not me. The internet.
I didn't Jimmy, how how dare you? How could you? No.
I mean, in in the trailer, we do hit he gets some information. He gets a book from the future that tells him that he's going to die in a battle. And yeah, he's obviously not sure if this is true or not, but um that is something that he's certainly contending with this season.
Yeah. Does he die? I don't know.
You'll have to tune in to find out. I don't know the ending. I really don't know the ending.
You shot multiple endings. We shot multiple endings. I was there.
Um but I don't know how it ends. So, I'll be watching with you. You'll be watching as well.
Yeah. Uh how are you uh feeling that the final season is here and what it's done for? Honestly, it's done so much for me.
I'm I'm so proud of Scotland. I'm so proud of the work we've done. Um it's emotional.
It's bittersweet. It's really hard to say goodbye to to these amazing people I've worked with and to the character Jamie, you know. Um, so yeah, it's been uh it's been an amazing journey, but I'm very very grateful.
You did a very cool thing to to mark the end of this series. You have a collection that you from your distillery. That's right.
We've collaborated with uh Stars Outlander Sony create the Sassinax special bottling, the Jamie Fraser collection. It's got a bottle of our whiskey. Thank you.
But it's got a we treats inside. Not only the whiskey, which does taste delicious, but I've written a letter to my character, Jamie, to say thank you. So, you'll get the letter inside.
It's wax sealed. I won't tell you what's in the letter. Uh maybe the invoice, but um it's uh it's in there.
And um yes, you get to read that while you sip your whiskey. Uh well, let's let's toast to the final season, my friend. You have you have been to Scotland.
I can tell. Yeah, exactly. What What do you call a poor in Scotland?
This is a well a drram I guess a drram. This is probably a large drram. Yeah, this is how we do it in Scotland.
