this video is going to be showing you a chest massage and we've got a female on the couch so I'm going to show you how to get around the bra situation um and it also makes it a lot more discreet and more comfortable for the client so in this position I said keep your ball and if you're happy with that um we're just going to make sure we take the the arms of the straps out so just move there just hold on please that's it really we just do this one that arm out lovely okay
so client client has got bra on and they're covered up with the towel so when working on a female we can get to the top of the pecs here the PEC major but we're not going to go any lower than that and I'm also going to show you some techniques which enable us just to get a bit low as well uh all in a nice discret way so whether you're male working on a female female fale it doesn't matter all the techniques are the same um and today I'm going to be using this new lotion
from nacki um I've been sent it to have look at and it's really nice it's called massage lotion relax and it's h got some essential oils in so it leaves a really nice Aroma when you're working around the the chest area so let's make a start put some of that on make sure your hands are nice and warm just apply the lotion and on the back of the neck as well so try and put it all on to start with before you actually start your first technique but we will reapply as we go on where
needed okay so the first stroke I'm going to do is a diamond shaped [Music] eage and I go up the back of the neck and I just press on the back of that occipital bone it's a nice pressure point so I'm going to go down to the sternum go down the upper arms over the shoulders fingers down and come up the back of the neck there and that little pressure point don't forget feels really good oh I can smell that lotion it's really nice now if I was doing this as a body massage I'd probably
do 12 of these but uh the sports massage we say do as many until you feel like that's enough which is my kind of massage so when you start to feel warming up I can see a little bit of athema already okay just going to get a little bit more lotion so I've got the lotion in here so I don't have to leave the client and I'm going to do shoulder circles so I'm pressing down on the shoulders uh if they're quite rounded you might feel a little bounce here okay and you can also notice
if you have a look down the couch here um if they have one shoulder slightly higher than the other and I think my client here is right-handed and the right shoulder is up a little bit higher so there's a bit tightness in that PEC minor which we'll get to so shoulder circles okay then we're going to go to knuckling technique so we could go to kneading but I think in this area it's a little bit too fingery really a bit Pokey so with Knuckles we go to this part and if you do that it's just
a lot easier to do so you can do both on one side you can do it the same on either side and it does get a little bit deeper than the E Strokes so it's a form of kneading it's called knuckling now we can go down the upper arms around the deltoids okay and then we can come up onto the trapezius here and then work on that as well so you get your knuckles in now I'd always combine a chest massage with an upper back massage so with my client here after this maybe 15 20
minute treatment I'd turn them over and I'd work on the upper back so don't be too worried if you can't get too far down on this one okay make sure that's nice and warmed up and whether you can see it on the camera you can see some rening here so we call that athema that's increasing the blood to the surface and to the muscles okay so once we've done that bit of a basic massage and warm up we're going to get a little bit deeper now and work on the pet major if your client is
quite k IC and by that I mean rounded shoulders or more hunched it tends to be really tight so working on these muscles or if they're gym user and they've been working on bench bre and things this massage would be perfect for them so I'm going to work on this side um and the things I want you to remember for this I want the client to turn the head to the side I want with the female working with a female I'm going to get the female to place their hand just across the top here and
and I'm going to lift this arm out slightly just relaxing okay so now I can put my hand on her hand and if you can see I can move the tissue okay I'm not revealing anything I shouldn't but you can now see just by that action we've got bra we got towel we got hand on top so I say it's a nice safe position where you can now actually get in there a little bit deeper and have more tissue to work with so we're working on the top of the pet major and we go from
sternum the origin to the top of the humus and depending on your Anatomy you might know the insertion here is near the bpal groove of the humorus so this whole tendon here on the front is the PEC major tendon so work down along that to the insertion get a little bit deeper and we can go with fingers so she's given on there so I feel quite safe and I can use two hands now working down so it's it's a light stripping now working on females particularly it is quite a tender area to work on so
we need to gauge facial expressions at the start we should have talked about pressure scale and we never want client to be in a position where it's unbearable pain okay we're talking pressure but we shouldn't be talking pain so if at any point you see flinching you know you've gone a bit too far but all this is really loosening up the tissue and the tight bits and you'll be getting in there into the pet minor as well so once I've done that I'm going to come around this side I'm going to do a technique called
lengthening and with lengthening if you think of what the PE major does so if you're in the gym you're going to do a bench press you do that so a a stretch more stretch Peck major is here and a shorter Peck is here I want to replicate that with this movement so from here you can just put your head straight up there it so from here that would be a short Peck and as I bring the arm down you can see that lengthening across if I want to make that even longer I can then put
in some external rotation you can see that opening up because of the attachment so we can do this in lots of different positions like so I can even pull the arm up to here and you get slightly different stretch so I'm put a little bit more lotion on so I don't pull too much and with lengthening it's star and short and as I move the arm I'm going to work my way up the muscle tissue like so so from here start on that pacipal Groove and really it's the arm movement that does most of the
work rather than my hand so I'm not really doing it as a big Eid stroke so we've got this arm movement on the end to increase it bit I can take it into that lateral rotation just to get a little bit of extra that's good how many times you want to know well again there's no set amount I saying until it starts to feel a little Freer so if I'm having to give you a number if you're forcing me to give you a number I would say four five six sevenish is that precise enough okay
so that's feeling really good I can take the arm up a little bit higher here I'm just working a slightly different position it quite bla for me that's nice they do tend to want to help you with the arm and I have had clients in a position where I have their arm here and if I left go it would still be in the air my client you can see is a little bit more relaxed than that so if there are one of those clients that can't relax let's do this relax for me relax if you
tap an area it actually sends the signal to the brain to actually tell them what to relax so I tend to tap muscles quite a bit just to get that and also I might finish this one now with a little bit of traction so I'm just gently gently pulling that shoulder joint and if we want to Rel that a little bit more I can get my client while I'm fixing that shoulder down I can get my client slowly to look that way for me you look that way that's it we're just opening up this little
bit of the neck here and come back that's it where they look good okay and relax good put this arm back down so I don't know if the video can see it but that arm does or that chest does look worked on so I'm going to just repeat that on the other side come around to this side can you remember the three positions to do to get them into the position for maximum usage here so I want the client to turn the head away I want the arm to come out here I would like the
hand on there in fact I'm going C head that way that's it so I'm going to put my hand on her hand like so and as before we can see there's a bit more movement there bit more lotion stop pulling let get hand on hand and going Palmer bit a Palmer need really this one okay so that's warming up gradually you go a little bit deeper with our reinforced Fingers um you can use thumbs but it's where to put the rest of your fingers really I find it a bit trickier you can use Knuckles which
is absolutely fine so all the techniques I'm showing you can be changed due to your hand size due to your client physique body frame okay there's no one right way to do it there's lots of different ways and when I'm teaching in class I say I don't want to teach people that are going to be mini mes or robots I want them to use their own techniques their own style so that every person you should see should probably give you a slightly different massage okay so what we're going to do after this reinforced fingers now
we've worked a little bit deeper I'm going to come around and we're going to do the lengthening technique okay put your head back up face up that way nice and relaxed if they're not relaxed give them a little Shake give them a tap there we go that's brilliant nice and relax here I want to move the arm up and down this way at the same time I'm going to be using that Ean technique get see and if I want to increase that slightly I'm going to take them into external or lateral rotation feels a bit
tighter this one and a different position I could have it slightly higher up on the couch this way working right down that P tendon all nice and controlled all nice and slow will be firm but all manageable I haven't seen one Grimace yet F that arm that's good okay let's put a little bit of traction on through that shoulder joint while I'm doing that if you want to look that way me okay and I would combine this with a neck massage and come back so neck and upper back would make a really good hour treatment
um so all I'm showing you in this video is I don't know how long it's going to be but uh that's it down just cover up there okay maybe 15 20 minute chest so as with any techniques once we've worked a bit deeper we're going to let the florage over the top go back to your diamond shape flage that we used to start with see traction the neck on the way up so I'm giving it a little pull as well as that pressure point just on the back of the hairline okay and a nice way
to finish this treatment if it was the end of your routine or your uh massage would be a cranium cradle which is just putting your fingertips on the back of the occipital bone here and if you watch what I do here my hands my back of my hands are on the couch fingers are pushing up into thatal bone her head's not resting on my hands at all so all the pressure is going through my eight fingers and if we hold it there and the client relaxes you feel the weight of the head get a bit
heavier if it feels really light they're not relaxing just get to breathe we hold that for about 20 seconds that might be a nice end and after that you might turn them over to do upper back so that's a chest massage on a female a male I would say is's a little bit easier there's a you got more space and I have got a a chess massage video working on a male client so if you want to have a look and just see the differences with that one so check out that video okay thanks for
