the episode opens up with a man getting chased by Batman in a dark alleyway the man tries telling Batman that he was only jaywalking but no matter how much he pleads Batman does not relent once he is caught his screams are heard through the streets at that moment a car stops behind him and the real Batman steps out he finds the man tied up and facing away when Batman turns him around he is shocked to see Joker Signature Smile painted on his face behind him Joker begins laughing and claims that he is the real Batman
meanwhile a reporter announces that Gotham City is seeing a strange case for the first time in its history where Joker has turned to fighting crime instead of initiating it he reports that the crimes that he seems to be punishing people for can barely be considered a crime just as a video of a man dumping trash outside of a trash can is played before he can react the man is taken away by Joker who is dressed up as his arch nemesis Batman he then plays another video of Kimberly Smith a 78-year-old grandmother who had been driving
around the block with her turn signal on and became another victim of Joker although her crime was light the punishment was not since he carved his signature smile on his victims on the other hand Batman's butler Alfred tells him that imit ation may be a form of flattery but wonders why Joker suddenly chose to copy Batman although Batman does not think Joker trying to fight crime is a big issue he claims that the bigger issue at hand is that his antidote has failed to cure Joker's victims Alfred replies that it could be a new strain
of Joker gas at the city hall the mayor is working when he hears Joker enter his office he tells Joker that he will be stopped but Joker replies by saying that he is only trying to fight crime the mayor angrily tells him this still does not explain what he did with some of Gotham PD's finest men for speeding during a police chase Joker claims that the laws apply to everyone before handing the mayor a bill of $1 million for his Services he tells the mayor that he'll start wreaking havoc in Gotham City if he is
not paid for his Services when Joker is hanging by the window he turns around and reveals that he was disappointed to see that his wife was committing a crime as well by checking out from a 10 item checkout counter with 11 items in her hands just as the Joker leaves the mayor rushes to find his wife Shea only to discover that she has been exposed to Joker's laughing gas as well meanwhile out in the streets two young girls are playing on the sidewalk by drawing on it with chalk Joker appears in front of them and
tells them that graffiti is a crime he claims that this is exactly why he became Batman so that he can get rid of criminals like them before he can attack the girls the real Batman jumps out of the darkness and tackles Joker down this gives the girls enough time to get away from them the two Archen enemies find themselves facing each other again as both of them draw their weapons out Batman goes in to attack but Joker throws a smoke bomb in front of them causing smoke to cover them once it clears Batman notices Joker
jumping on top of a building and is quick to follow after him Batman manages to tackle Joker down but this does not last for long as Joker seems to have all of the weapons Batman does making it easier for him to escape their fighting continues until Joker pushes Batman off the roof when Batman falls to the ground he struggles to get back up again while he is trying to muster up his strength Joker tells Batman that he needs a joker that will give him the motivation to remain a vigilante he opens up a box and
a mechanical snake latches onto Batman's arm and bites him Joker begins laughing and tells Batman that his new Venom will be sure to help his transformation once he leaves Batman somehow makes his way back to his Mansion where he gets his wound treated by Alfred who also runs a few tests on him Batman man assures Alfred that he feels fine happier even and that there is nothing to worry about while his blood is still getting scanmed Batman gets out of bed and prepares to head to the hospital to meet the mayor's wife so that he
can get her blood tested for Venom as well despite Alfred telling him to stay in the Batcave Batman refuses to listen to him and leaves after telling him that his priority is finding an antidote for Joker's victims as is leaving he claims that the mayor could also use a friendly face that might put a smile on his face this worries Alfred who thinks that Batman has already been affected by the Venom once Batman reaches the hospital he greets the mayor as Bruce Wayne the mayor confesses that The Joker Is demanding a large sum of money
this is when Batman Begins to feel strange as a fit of laughter overcomes him he tries to hold himself together and assures the mayor that he will happily sign a check if it will help them once again Batman Begins laughing causing the mayor to become concerned and ask him if he is all right trying to draw the attention away from himself Batman tells the mayor that he would like to see his wife just as they are entering Sheila's hospital room the mayor warns him that her condition is much worse than what anyone could have anticipated
when they enter her room Batman notices that Sheila is still smiling ing widely and becomes overcome with laughter again he begins to realize that something is off and excuses himself as he rushes out of the hospital he makes several pit stops only to point at patients and laugh at their misery when Batman reaches back home he immediately begins his research while trying to hold in his laughter he tells Alfred that Joker's new Venom is now attacking the nervous system forcing its victim's body to gradually increase fits of laughter until finally their body collapses and their
heart stops Alfred claims that joker had said that he wanted an arch nemesis but he did not specify if a pulse was required or not hearing this Batman who is now beginning to see more prominent effects of the Venom begins laughing and tells his Butler that he is funny once he calms down Batman tells Alfred that he has managed to make an antidote but the only anything missing is Joker's old Venom once they find the old Venom they will be able to treat all of Joker's victims Batman's laughing fits begin to get worse as he
tells Alfred that he only has an hour until his heart stops and he needs to find both Joker and his old Venom before that happens meanwhile someone plants a bomb in front of the Gotham Museum of Art and breaks down the doors back at the Batcave Alfred begs back Batman to pull himself together as he continues to laugh hysterically suddenly an alarm begins ringing that alerts them of a Breakin at the Museum Alfred reminds Batman that the museum is hosting a collection of Priceless Fab eggs Batman does not think that joker is behind the break-in
and suggests that this act is screaming penguin also known as Oswald cobblepot for once Alfred thinks that they should let penguin get away with the crime because Batman needs to focus on finding Joker Batman claims that joker will definitely come after penguin which will give him a chance to take both of them down at the same time sure enough as penguin steals the eggs Joker who had already heard of the crime realizes that this is a job for Batman and rushes to the scene Joker tries to stop penguin by asking him to hand over the
eggs but he refuses to give them up and tells Joker that he has never bothered him while he was out committing crimes which is why he needs to extend the same courtesy while the two of them are arguing Batman shows up at the scene as well and tells penguin to hand over the eggs both Batman and Joker run towards penguin when he refuses to hand them over as they continue to fight among themselves penguin gets caught in between and the eggs fall out of his pocket and shatter Batman then turns to Joker and asks him
to hand over the Venom but when he refuses Batman attacks him causing the can with the snake to fall out of his suit penguin is the first one to grab it who then uses his umbrella to fly towards the roof claiming that he is going to take the Venom since the two of them are fighting over it he does not get far because both Joker and Batman launch a boomerang at him causing his umbrella to malfunction and he falls on top of a build building both of them then climb up to the roof and go
back and forth trying to take the Venom when Batman finally manages to throw Joker off the roof he grabs the can and is about to leave but penguin grabs him and snatches the Venom from him curious as to why the two of them have been fighting over a can he opens the lid causing the snake to jump onto him and bite his arm although he grabs the snake and throws it off he is too late with him and affected as well Batman ties him across the building and chases after Joker who has not managed to
grab a hold of the Venom Joker mocks Batman by saying Tick Tock indicating that he knows Batman only has a few minutes left until his heart stops when Batman attacks him Joker tells him that he has a joke for him he begins by telling him that a doctor told his patient that he had bad news and worse news the patient asks him what the bad news is and The doctor replies by saying that he only has 24 hours left to live the patient then wonders what could be worse than this to which the doctor responds
that he has been trying to contact the patient since yesterday at this point Batman grabs the snake from Joker and starts heading off until he breaks into laughter from the joke Joker snatches the snake from him claiming that this joke is what always does it for his victims when Batman man collapses at the end of The Alley Joker walks away with the snake but when he opens its mechanical mouth he is shocked to discover that the Venom is missing he turns around a little too late only to find Batman injecting the Venom in his antidote
