There are moments when we struggle to understand what is happening around us. We face delays, disappointments, and situations that don't make sense. But the goodness of God is not based on what we feel or what we see.
It is rooted in who he is. His nature does not shift with circumstances. His love does not weaken with time.
>> [snorts] >> Don't pretend you're okay if you're not. You don't have to fake strength here. Just come as you are and let's go to God together.
Dear God, your word says in Isaiah 40:29 [music] that you give strength to the weary and increase the power of the weak. And God, that's me right now. I'm weary.
I need your strength. God, I'm also bringing you my fears about the future because sometimes healing feels uncertain. I don't know how things are going to turn out.
I don't know how long it will take and that scares me a little. But today, I'm choosing to trust you with [music] that, too. Because you're not just the God of the present.
You're already in my future. You already know what's coming [music] and you're already there with me. So, I don't have to figure it all out right now.
God, help me rest in that. Help me stop trying to control everything, >> [music] >> stop trying to fix everything, and just trust you one step at a time. God, I also want to thank you even in the middle of this because even though I'm not fully where I want to be yet, I'm not where I used to be, either.
You've already brought me through things I didn't think I'd get through and I don't want to forget that. So, thank you for every small step of healing that's already happened. Thank you for the progress I don't always notice.
Thank you for staying with me even on the days I felt like giving up. God, I'm placing myself in your hands today. My body, my mind, my heart, my emotions, everything.
I'm not holding anything [music] back because I know you care about all of it. And I trust [music] you even if the healing takes time, even if it's a process, even if it doesn't look the way I expect. I trust you because you're good, because you're faithful, because you're still working even when I don't see it yet.
Father, help us to seek counsel with prayer, not to gather many opinions without prayer. Let every choice be held before you first. Teach us to ask a short prayer when decisions arise.
>> [music] >> Lord, show me truth, guide my steps. Use that prayer as a filter for every suggestion. When we have prayed and sought counsel, give us peace to move.
Lord, bless the practical tools of wisdom, planners, notebooks, trusted lists. Teach us to write down our options and to list pros and cons without panic. Help us to choose criteria that matter, faithfulness, family, integrity, and to weigh decisions by them.
Give us disciplined steps, small experiments, trial periods, and the habit of reviewing choices after time to learn. Father, remind us of the role [music] of rest in wise thinking. Tired minds make poor choices.
Teach us to sleep well, to take short breaks, and to return to decisions with fresh eyes. When a choice is urgent, give calm hands and focused minds. When it can wait, let sleep help reveal clarity.
Lord, help us to accept that some outcomes are beyond our making. We can plan and act, yet not control the result. Give us serenity to accept what we cannot change, courage to change what we can, and wisdom to know the difference.
Let faith anchor us when outcomes differ from hope, and let wisdom teach us to adapt. Father, teach us to celebrate wise decisions. When a choice leads to peace and good fruit, slow us down to give thanks.
Let those moments of gratitude [music] become tests of discernment for future choices. When we succeed, help us to share the path we took and to help others learn by example. Lord, grant us endurance for seasons when choices are many and clarity is rare.
Let us not grow weary of seeking counsel, [music] praying, and acting patiently. Give us companions who will pray alongside us and who will remind us to trust you again and again. Father, move our hearts to pray for those in authority and in care.
Let wisdom flow to leaders of nations, hospitals, schools, and families. >> [music] >> Teach them to seek you, to listen to the humble, and to serve with justice. Pour patience on their nights and good counsel on their desks.
Lord, in the quiet of our souls, give each of us one next step. Not a grand plan to solve everything, but a tiny action we can take this day to move toward truth. Help us to do that step with faith and to watch how you bless it.
If the step leads to more clarity, help us to follow. If it leads to a closed door, give grace to start again. God, I'm not walking away from this moment the same.
I'm walking away lighter. Not because everything is instantly fixed, but because I'm not carrying it alone anymore. You're carrying it with me and that makes all the difference.
God, I love you and I'm grateful for your presence, for your peace, for your healing >> [music] >> even right now. In Jesus' name, amen. All right, friends.
