Good evening. Hello. How are you? A little nervous, but also very nervous. What is your name? My name is Stephanie Rainey. How old are you? I'm 36. I'm guessing you're going to sing for us tonight. I am. And for how long you've been doing this? Oh, since I was probably 18. Is this your first time like attempting to be in a competition like AGT? Yeah, I've had a very kind of roller coaster career, I'd say. The song that I'm going to play for you today um has had quite a big moment in the past, and
we made it in just a tiny room and put it up one Monday morning, and it just by the end of the day it had a million views. Wow. And then I signed a deal after the song came out. I think I probably didn't fully know who I was back when I signed that deal. The journey from then until now has been hard. It's a tough industry, you know? Yeah. You have to be resilient, and I think sometimes when the downs come you have to be willing to kind of pick yourself back up. Um so,
Here I am. So, the song is called It's called Please Don't Go. I wrote it about losing my nephew when I was a teenager. He was about to turn one. It was the day before his first birthday, and he passed away. Oh, sorry. And it took me a long time to write a song about it. Honestly, I was about to give up music. So, I was like, I want to make something For me that I believe in. So, this song means more to me than I can actually like even describe. Good for you for doing
that and not giving up. I do know how difficult the music business is. There's so many great people who are giving up, and that's why a platform like this is still really, really important. Absolutely. And who do you play with? Uh my best friend uh Sarah, she's here with me today and, uh, she's been on every single step of this journey with me from the very beginning. Okay, well, look, we're rooting for you. Thank you. I hold your hand till it goes cold. I hold my tears until you go. With all the life that leaves
your bones, it sucks the purpose from my own. Oh. Please, don't go. I've kept my own side of the bed, thinking you'd be home again. I hold myself so I can sleep. My pillow holds the screams I need. Oh. Please, Please, don't go. So, lay yourself down on my chest. Cuz I know how to hold you best. I'll keep you through these last few breaths. And kiss and love you till the end. Oh. Please, don't go. Wow. Woo! Bethany, it was such a beautiful, heartfelt song. You can tell what you Went through. It was very
simple and perfect. Very few acts move people, and that was one of the most relatable, emotional moments we've had on season 19. So, thank you so much. Oh, yeah. Your voice sounded amazing on this stage. It was just a real special moment. Well done. Thank you. Of all the new songs I've heard this Year, this is the best by a mile. And even though it's about something really sad, it's real. And your voice is beautiful. A lot of people are going to resonate with that song and you. I absolutely love this. Thank you so much.
I think I'm going to give you your first yes. I'm also going to give you a yes. Yes. I think I'm going to give you about 4,000 yeses. That was what I call a moment. That song is so beautiful. Thank you so much for coming out. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you. All right, girls, who are you? We are Rise. Okay, and tell me a little bit about the group. Who's Who's put this together? Uh I'm the choreographer. My name's Thea. Hello. Uh we We've been together about 5 or 6 years, um but
we've only recently brought this piece together. And the reason we brought this piece together is Holly was in the Manchester attack last year. Um it's been just a ridiculous journey for everybody. Um but Holly herself has been absolutely amazing, aren't you, girls? Just Yeah. I'd bought Holly tickets for her birthday as a surprise. We'd seen Ariana Grande before and she were really good. Me, Holly, Holly's mum, Kelly were going. It were just an amazing, happy day that just ended so badly. We just got up to leave and as we got into the foyer, that's when
the bomb went off. We are continuing to cover this suicide Bombing in Manchester, which has injured more than 50. It took 23 hours for us to find out that Holly Arianna died. She died at the scene in the arena. Holly broke her right knee. Um, on her left leg she broke her foot, a leg, and she's got nerve damage. She can't walk on her left leg without wearing splint. She's had 11 operations so far. She's got more to come. And she fights every single day and she just she takes my breath away every time. Me
and Madison are cousins and we've been dancing together since we were little. She just loves to dance. It's everything to her. It's lovely. A couple of days after it happened, I was saying, "When can I go back to dancing?" I even saying it to my doctors and they didn't know whether I could or Like when I'd come back. They've been part of this crew for a couple of years. They dance really well together but they are friends as well, which I think it is a great thing. I was speaking to her mom on the phone
and I said, "Let's get about dancing." And we were saying, "We don't know how we're going to do it but we'll do it." To bring her back into dancing at the level that she can do it in and just to see the smile on her face when she comes Home. It it means so much to us. She's an inspiration to me and to everyone that comes across her. Um, Holly, how does it feel to be back as part of the team dancing? It feels amazing. Like, everybody has been absolutely supportive, and I couldn't have asked
for anything better. Brilliant. And how does it feel to be back in Manchester? Um it's always difficult coming back to Manchester, but um this is like the first place I've been what's like um not like an arena, but it is a bit, and So, it's a big moment for the group. Okay, girls. Absolutely every single person in this room is right behind you, and we wish you the best of luck. Thank you. Thank you. Go on, girls. Come on. Oh god. YEAH. YEAH. HUH. LADIES, THE TIME HAS COME. LADIES, THE HOUR HAS COME TO LAY
DOWN OUR ARMS. I surrender my arms. Ready to fight the brave. I surrender my arms. I surrender my arms. Representing all the women, salute, salute. Oh god, it gets you in the end. I have no arms. Maybe there's a reason to believe you'll be okay. Cuz when you don't feel strong enough to stand, You can reach out your hand. Alesha, um you are all remarkable women, all of you. And that was probably one of my favorite moments ever on this show. Ever. I think the whole of Manchester is proud of you, and the whole of
the UK will be too. Well done, girls. So good. Yeah, it was so beautiful and moving. It almost didn't seem real. And this whole performance is a testament to your talent and also it's a testament to your incredible friendship that you've put this together to honor your friend. I mean it's the most beautiful performance I've ever seen. Girls, it's so important not to be defined by tragedy. To be shaped by it, but never defined by it. Congratulations. It was an amazing audition. Simon. Uh you know what, Holly? It is Wow, this is difficult. You know,
I've been trying to put to get through what you went through and come out here and turn a negative into a positive is actually quite Unbelievable. Really. Because, you know, what these people did is they're cowards. And the fact that you can come on stage, do what you did, and make such a positive statement, and with your friends, I'm very proud of you. In fact, I salute you. But we still got a vote. David. I'm going to say yes. It's a yes from me, girls. It's a yes from me. I've worked out I think we've
probably got about 3,400 yeses right there. I I think anybody's ever got two standing ovations on this show. Come on, girls. That was amazing. Oh my god, you love it. Stop it. You're going to start us all off here. Come on. Well done. What did you think of What a special girl. I want a tissue. I want my tissues. I want my tissues. Take them. Take them. Take them. Take them. Shut them up. Listen. Well done. You got us crying. You got them crying. EVERYBODY'S CRYING. OH MY GOD. STOP IT. We all wanted to say
hello as judges Wanted to say hello to you in person. Well done. They never do this. They never come backstage. I know. We've come specially to see you. It was brave. It was emotional. How good was this? Where's the photographer? There. There. That was quite incredible. Thank you. Good for you. Thank you. I couldn't Hollie, you're a winner. Well done, girl. Oh my god. So cute. You're joking. It's my mum. You're joking. Who have we got here? Hello. Callie. Callie. Savannah. Savannah. And are you sisters? And who have you brought with you today? Nanny. Nanny.
So, is she your mommy's mommy or your daddy's mommy? Daddy's mommy. Daddy's mommy. Okay, brilliant. And can I ask Savannah, how old are you? Three. Amazing. And Callie, how old are you? Four. Aw. Cute. What are we here for? To surprise Dad. What What's going on? Well, Nick doesn't know anything about it, and we're surprising him cuz we want him to come and sing cuz he sings a lovely song for the girls. Come along, Nick. I've just seen him. Unbelievable. Come on, Nick. Come on, Nick. He can't believe it. Oh my goodness me. Oh, wow.
You just thought you were HAVING A LOVELY DAY OUT. I I I did. We had a whole day planned. Well, that's changed. Yeah, this is complete shock to me. He said he'd never do it, so we had to do it for him. Why did you say you'd never do it? I I think over the years uh I've lost a Lot of confidence in my singing. So, um yeah, I I tend to do it at home in the shower. Well, I'll tell you what, Nick, I'll tell you what, why don't you go off, grab a glass
of water, and then come back on. Would that be a good idea? Thanks. Nick literally thought you'd run away. I notice you've got your words down There, which is totally fine. You can do whatever it takes to get through it. It's a song that I felt quite attached to, uh so I sing it quite a lot around the house. So, hopefully I'll keep uh the nerves and the the crying away whilst I'm sitting here. That's true. Well, we are all rooting for you, aren't we? Thank you. Yes, I'll admit I was terrified. Till that moment
I saw your eyes. Yes, I became a different man when I held your tiny hands in mine. Yes, the first words I heard you say. Yes, I remember it like yesterday. Love is blowing in the breeze and you're growing up right in front of me. You're daddy's little girl, precious little angel, dancing in the living room and drawing on the table. Wearing mommy's pearls, Putting on her makeup, even though I know these moments they won't last forever. But to me, you'll always be daddy's little girls. Someday you'll be dressed in white, all gracious butterflies. But
in my mind I'll let you go. In my heart you know you'll always stay. But until then I cherished every kiss goodnight. And every door you slammed every little fight. I'll be there for you even when I'm gone. You'll just listen to this song. Like nothing's changed at all. You're still daddy's little girls. Precious little angels dancing in the living room and drawing on the table. Wearing mama's pearls, putting on her makeup. Even though I know these moments they won't last forever. But to me you'll always be Yeah, to me you'll always be You're still
daddy's little girl. Oh, that was wonderful, wasn't it? Oh. Uh I'm fine. Yes, I'm fine. It was so sweet. You got a nice voice. You have a such a beautiful voice. It's just It was a really, really lovely surprise. What did you think, David? Well, it was just so moving. From start to finish, and you know, you just You just look like you're going to burst into tears every word, actually. But I Thought there's not a dry eye in the house, and that really hit me emotionally more than anything else today. Well, it was absolutely
gorgeous. Me and Alesha are in bits. We have to vote. I'm going to say yes. It's a yes from me. It's a yes from me. Well, I think you've got 4,004 yeses. Aw, Well done, Nick. Thank you. Hi. Hi. What's your name? My name's Aidan Martin. I'm from South Shields. How old are you, Aidan? I'm 27 years old. Have you auditioned before? Um I did audition here like 10 years ago. For For X Factor, yeah? It was for X Factor, yeah. I recognize you. Did Did you make it through the first round first time? Uh
I got to like boot camp. What have you learned differently this time round? You know, for the past like 10 years, I've been working so so hard like trying to like do this. Like it's all it's all I want. Like it really is. What are you going to sing? I'm going to sing a song that I wrote today called Punchline. It might seem crazy My name is Aiden Martin. I'm 27 years old and I work in a bar. So I'll do like guest list on the door on a Saturday night. I'll pull a few pints.
So I kind of just hop around, glass collecting, little bit of everything. With me today I've got my mom and my dad and I'm with three of like my best mates. So I'm really happy that I've got some support. I was going to come on my own and not tell anyone, but I can't keep a secret to save my life. They don't let you out eat my heart. Mom, we can't say that. Me and my mom are really super close. She loves hearing me sing, loves hearing my songs. My dad's a little bit more like
What are you doing? I'm doing my own song. So that's a good that's a good idea. We're judging two things, your voice and your song. song. I wrote my first song when I was 17. It just continued from there. I haven't actually like tested my songs that much. But my mom says they're good, so I mean that's enough for me right now. trust moms. Moms are the least trustworthy people in the world. They're always going to say You're good. I'm getting on a bit now as far as music's concerned. So if I don't hurry up,
I'm going to be pulling pints for the rest of my life and that cannot happen. Okay, and what's the song? Basically just to give you a little bit of background, I was like really in love with someone. Um cliche as it sounds. I'm a jokey, fun person. I like to keep a smile on everyone's faces and I guess It was just about like I I hurt and I feel like everybody else. Um Who dumped who? Um it was kind of like a mutual agreement, but it was so heartbreaking. Like I felt like I was But
weren't you really the one who was dumped? Yeah. Yeah. Would you take them back? Never ever ever. No way. What a silly question. YOU NEVER KNOW. NO. YOU CAN'T do that ever. Okay. What would you like to say through this song if they were watching today? That I'm not a joke. I'm not a joke. Well, now you get your chance to say what you want to say. Good luck. Thank you so much, guys. I don't know if I'm in the crowd or I stand alone. You know all the words, but don't sing along. Every single
eye has been watching me, but they don't see that I'm just another trying to find a way to hold on to your love and laugh for me. Pain, I don't need no cameras to see your point of view. I need someone to turn to. I guess my heart never learns. No use in finding the words if you're never here when it hurts. All your mistakes, I don't want to learn. I deserve the truth, but you lie. I don't know why I'm so surprised. No matter how hard I try, if I'm just a joke waiting for
the punchline. You lost the Love that we found. You laugh away, yeah. So, laugh away, yeah. Said, "I'm just a joke. You don't know how to take I guess my heart never learns. You know, we used to fight in the words. And your heart never healed with me hurts. All your mistakes I don't want to make. I deserve the truth, but you lied. I don't know why I'm so surprised. No matter how hard I try, if I'm still a joke waiting for a punchline. Waiting for a punchline. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful song. They're my words, and
I'm so grateful that I can say them in front of you. I thank you so much. I loved it, and I loved the performance. It wasn't too much. It was just perfect. Oh my gosh. That song was so revealing and so vulnerable, and that takes the most strength. The most courage when someone can do that. Thanks so much. You have a beautiful voice. Thank you. Um I would say this was a very, very, Very special audition. I can't believe this. I really can't. Louis, I could feel the emotion. I could see the emotion in your
face. Every word you meant. I'm going to say yes. Thank you so much. Yeah, definitely I'd like to hear you sing again. Okay Aiden, it's a yes from me. Aiden, baby, you're not a joke. You're a force to be reckoned with. It's an absolute yes. Thank you so much, honestly. I will not I will not let you regret this. Where am I going? Yeah. Bye. I knew it. It's the best day. Ah, I'm doing so well. So well. Thank god that's over. Good afternoon, sir. Welcome to the Royal Chapel. My name's David Godwin, sir, and
pensioner David Godwin. David, nice to meet you. It's a pleasure to meet you, sir. I'm really looking forward to this. We're going to surprise a few people. You indeed you are, sir. Very nice to meet you. And you, sir. Good afternoon, sir. Hello. I know a little bit about you. I hear that you're a choir. I hear you're a very good choir. And all of your parents have either served or are serving in the armed forces. And someone told me you might be the best choir in the world. Okay. Well, David did fill in an
application form for you to be on Britain's Got Talent. So, what do you say? Yes or no? Are you ready? Are you going to win? Great. See David. SEE GUYS. TIME TO SEE SIMON AGAIN. BEST of luck. Do it guys. Get him on. Off you go. Do you want to tell everybody who you are and what happened? We are the Voices of Armed Forces Children Choir and not that long ago Certain someone came to surprise us, didn't he? We were just singing practice drills and then all of a sudden Simon popped out and surprised us
all saying that we're going on Britain's Got Talent. I heard how amazing this choir were, so I invited them to audition for us on Britain's Got Talent. To my left, you've got two very special people in one of the boxes up there. Tell me what you're going to today. We're going to sing "Welcome Home", which me and Emily wrote during lockdown. You wrote it? Good for you. And what inspired you to write the song? Uh just that our families were on deployment, and we wanted to bring everyone in the armed forces together by able to
sing an anthem of "Welcome Home". Okay, so this is really about how you Feel when your mom's or your dad's come home from serving, how you feel, yeah? I love that. Okay, it's down to you now. Five, four, three, two, one. Good for you. Welcome home, feeling proud together, we are family. No one's left alone. Come on home, It's so nice to see you. I can see what an amazing day you've had. It's so amazing for us. Well done. What was like the perfect audition? I was just so sort of proud of all of you. You are having a very different experience of childhood to a lot of children who get to see their parents all the time. And you came here today to share that experience with us in such a beautiful Way. It was very, very special. I'm a mess. When the pictures came up, a view with your moms and dads, that's when I just fell apart cuz I
just think how strong you all are to have to do without them for so long when they're doing something so wonderful for the rest of us. So it's incredibly unselfish of you to lend them to us for our own safety. So thank you. This is why I love doing this show. Meeting people like you, hearing their Stories and We we hear lots of people from the services tell their stories. We never hear the kids tell their stories. You know, something I will never forget. I I hope you'll never forget. I'm going to kick this off
with a massive yes. David. You make me want to join the army. Aw. I'd love someone to miss me this much. Uh, I am going to say yes. It's a yes for me. Well, I think you know where I'm going to go with this, but I've got to say anyway, you've all got four yeses. Nervous, nervous, nervous. The biggest audience I've ever performed to is probably like a school school assembly. And so, it's quite a big step up coming here today. It's like quite Scary, yeah. Before you go on, can I ask you, is he
any good? Yeah. There was a little pause. Are you ready to do it? Yeah. They're ready for you. Good luck, mate. All yours. Have fun out there. Thank you. Today is definitely going to be like the Biggest day of my life. Four yeses from the judges would be the best thing ever. He's very tall. Hello. What's your name, please? Um, my name is Harry Gardner. How old are you? I'm 16. Where are you from, Harry? Um, I'm from Essex. Okay. So, tell me why you've decided to enter this show. I just want to kind of
share my music with other people and see if they can relate. Okay. And Harry, what are you going to sing for us today? Um, the song I'm going to sing is a song that I've written. Um, it's a song for my nan. Um, and it's a song Not Alone. My nan, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's 3 years ago. Oh. Yeah, this song is a tribute to her. Has she heard this song before, Harry? Um, yeah, I did play it to her. Um, she wasn't really like aware of what was going on. She looked happy, which
was just nice. Okay, well, I can't wait to hear it. Good luck. Thanks very much. Open your eyes. And tell me what you see. Am I among the forgotten? Please say you remember me. We know you're there somewhere inside. I say a prayer for you to smile. Looks like the angels only won today, but I stay strong. I know it won't be long till I see the old days. Open your eyes and say hello. Open your Mind and just let go. Tell me to get the remote so we can watch your favorite show and ruffle
my hair and say it's bad. And tell me this chocolate in your handbag. Tell me just how much I've grown. And let me know I'm not alone. And we understand good things don't last, but I'd give anything just to hear you laugh. Looks like the angels Owe me one today, but I stay strong. I know it won't be long till we see the old days. Open your eyes and say hello. Open your mind and just let go. Tell me to get the remote so we can watch your favorite show and ruffle my hair and say
it's bad. And show me this chocolate in your handbag. Tell me just how much I've grown and let me know I'm not alone. And let me know I'm not Alone. Thank you. Thank you very much, Harry. Thank you. Amanda. Harry, that it really moved me. I just wish your grandmother could see what you've done today because I'm sure she'd be so proud of you. Thank you so much. I really think it takes real courage to put your heart and soul and Vulnerability into a song the way that you just did and it's a fantastic audition.
Writing a song about something that means so much to you. You did it with such emotion and passion. It It was just beautiful. Thank you. Thank you so much. It's quite rare that I could remember an audition a month or six months later. And this is one I'm going to remember because it was Very genuine. It absolutely showed your talent as a songwriter. Yeah, I like you, Harry. I think people are going to get you. We're going to vote. David? I'm going to say yes. Alesha? Easiest yes of the day. Yes, yes, yes. It's a
yes for me. Well done. Harry, guess what? Four yeses. Get ready for the next round. Brilliant. Well deserved. Thank you so much. Well done, Buzz. Well done. Well done. Well done. Amazing. Well done. Oh, what you doing to me, mate? Huh? That really, really got me, that did. That What a wonderful song. Could you imagine that was your child? Your child had written a song like that about your parents. I know. I mean, that's incredible. Wasn't it? I know. You've done so well. So well. So proud. Yeah, he's got talent. Looks like we're in the
right place. This is amazing. This is my sister, Jenna. This is Stu, and we're the Red Laws. We grew up in a small town called Kirkwall. We had a farm. Not a normal farm, though. No. It was called the Yeehaw Adventure Farm. Hundreds of people would just come and have fun. Our dad built a 10,000 pumpkin pumpkin patch, 10-acre corn maze, and pig races. That's where the Red Claws started with a halftime show at the pig races and I played the banjo, she sang. Our mom actually named the band cuz it's our last name backwards.
It's Walker backwards is Red Claw. That is the coolest thing. We've been back and forth trying to decide what song to do. We wanted it to be a song specifically about our mom. We lost our mom to mental health and that shook up our world. We lost her in 2022 and it was a very tough time for our family and we just want to acknowledge that to people that are going through tough times. Mom would be very proud right now. Yeah. The whole reason we're here is Because of her. Sorry. You're great. I hope that
she can see us here. Oh my god. This is going to be nuts. She'd say, "You're playing for Simon Cowell. Do not embarrass me. We have one shot at this performance. So, we're not going to stop, Mom. Can't stop me now." Hello. Welcome both of you. Let's hear your names, please. I'm Stewart Walker. And I'm Jenna Walker. We're brother and sister. Okay. And where you from? Toronto, Canada. That's my country. What kind of music are you into? Country music. Country. Brilliant. Do you write your own songs? We do. We're actually going to perform An original
song. It's called People Don't Talk About. And tell me what it's about. We wrote this song probably 2 years ago. Our family's been through a lot of stuff that we kind of didn't feel comfortable talking about and we wrote it about that. We felt like if we had this opportunity to get on this stage and if we had one song to play, this would be the song. This is the one. I said 17, would have loved to hear this song. That's really important. And do you think you're going to win? We've chasing this dream for
a long, long time and we feel like it's just the right moment. And timing sometimes is everything, right? Exactly, yeah. Exactly. We're all rooting for you, so best of luck. Thank you. All right. All right. I like it when a group is a family. Yeah. I think they're going to be good. All right. Okay. Three, two I grew up playing cowboys. I like to play pretend. Bunch of kids in a Backyard, back when it made sense. We would speak our minds and say just what we meant. That was the old me. Nobody told me that
everything changes. Yeah, it was said then. You better keep quiet if you want to fit in. People don't talk about when it's 2:00 a.m. you're talking to yourself again. You're digging a hole. You're digging a hole. People don't talk about trying to be Yourself but feeling like you're someone else. You're not alone. You're not alone. I want to know everything that you don't say aloud. Yeah, all the things that people don't talk about. Cuz people don't talk about. Take a load off. Take a breath. Say all that and say the rest. If you let it
out, you can let them in. Take a load off. Take a breath. Say all that then say the rest. If you let it out You can let them out. People don't talk about when it's too late. You're talking to yourself again. You're digging a hole. You're digging a hole. People don't talk about trying to be yourself or feeling like you're someone else. You're not alone. You're not alone. I want to know everything that you don't say aloud. Get all the things that people don't talk about. Cuz people don't talk about Cuz people don't talk about
Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. It's really good, you two. Um how are you on your feet? But first of all, your singing and your writing is impeccable. And I don't usually respond to lyrics like I'm responding to this. You know, I've been very open with my little soapbox is mental health. And there's a stigma attached. And the thing that allows me to survive is the ability to talk about it. This song is an important song. And I think that you are going to go a long way in this competition. Thank you. Yeah, I liked
it, too. I like the song. I love that you're siblings. I also feel that you really wanted and I feel like you deserve it. Thank you. You did the right thing coming tonight to AGT because it was like a a big treat for all of us. It was impeccable. Well, thank you. Thank you guys so much. That was a great great audition. With me here today is my mom and dad. They're probably my biggest fans. We were just joking that you were our favorite son, but we Joking? Choose one here. I used to work in finance and I was a trader and on Friday night, Saturday night go to a wedding and perform. I told my mom, I'm going to quit my job and do
magic full-time. That's what I'm meant to be doing. And finally, I did that. I was horrified when he threw in his job cuz I spent all my life in finance and six of our sons were also in finance. And then when he turned around he said, "I'm going to quit and I'm going to go into cards." I thought, "Mick, you're mad." If I take the jack and just take the corner off and go It's gone. It's in your hand. Have a look. The rest of the cards. Does that fit? You owe me a dollar 20
now cuz you're on my deck. It was a big sacrifice, but 4 years Later, at least now I'm super happy I've made that call. Is it hard to perfect what you're doing to get all of the little fun It's There's a lot going on. I'm using magic in a way that I think it's never been used before. So, my performance tonight um has a message behind it that's very important. It's really why I'm here today cuz I've I've wanted to share this story and I think this is the perfect place to do that. And you
walk out to the start. Good luck. Hello. Hello. How are you? I'm great. What's your name? My name is Michael Webb. Some people know me as Magic Mike. Magic Mike? Not a stripper, I'm a magician. Oh, you can't say Magic Mike. You'll get Everybody's hopes up. Sorry your hopes up now. So, what you're doing today? Is this your day job or About 4 years ago I quit my job to do this full-time. And you want to take this now to the next level. I came here on AGT because I really wanted share a story that
means a lot to me and I knew this is the biggest platform in Australia to do it. Well, look, whenever you're ready, the stage is yours. I'm going to come and join you on the stage. Is that all right? Yeah. Okay. Well, well, here we go. He's off. He usually doesn't do stories like that. He usually just does does tricks. Yeah. Hello. Hi. I have a deck of cards to help me tell a story. Alicia, can you help me out? Can you give them a little shuffle? Give them a little mix up. Beautiful. Oh, this
Don't judge me. They're a new pack of cards. Oh, wow. You're upstaging me now. I don't like it. There you go. That will do. That will do, Magic Mike. Perfect. You have shuffled the hell out of it. Shane, can you help me? Yeah, of course. Um I'm going to get you to say stop whenever you like. Uh stop. Have a look. Don't let me see it actually. Can you sign it on the face of the card and nice and big write Shane. You can show the other judges. You can hold it up and show the
team if you trust them. Um there is Perfect. Thank you. Throw it in the Middle here. Copy that. Lovely. Thank you. David, I'm actually got the biggest man crush on you, so I want to start here. Is that all right? mutual. And if you do want to take off your clothes, Magic Mike, feel free. Everyone has their price, David. Well, if we can sort this out. But I honestly I've came here to tell You all a story that means a lot to me and I hope you like it. It's actually a story about a guy
I know named Jack. And if you met Jack, you'd probably think he's the luckiest guy in the world. I mean, he's got a loving family and plenty of mates. And they think he's kind of funny. They always think of him as a bit of a joker. And when he's out on the town with his mates, they really get around him. They Call him the king. Which is kind of ironic because whenever the night ends up at the karaoke bar, he's the one always singing queen. Wow. But even on the most joyous of occasions like Christmas
or even his birthday, he'd often look around at the full house of family and friends having such a good time. And he'd stop and think, "What's wrong with me? Like why can't I have fun?" And the more he thought about this, the worse he felt. And the worse he felt, the more guilty he felt. And all of a sudden, he'd have shame and become flush with emotion. So, what would Jack do? He'd find a nice quiet room in the house And cry. You see, Jack was a 28-year-old man. And in his mind, 28-year-old males, they
needed to be strong. They don't talk about their feelings. And it wasn't until he learned that one in 10 Australians actually seek professional help that he realized he wasn't alone. And that's what gave him the courage to talk to his friends. And When he did, they thought it showed true heart to talk about his feelings. So, he started to do some research and he was shocked to learn that in the most recent year, 3,318 Australians took their own lives. That's 63 people every single week. 63. And for every person that did, another 20 attempted to.
In Australia, suicide is the leading cause of death people age between 15 to 44. And he didn't want to become another statistic. But do you know what really helped Jack? It was hearing other people's stories. And not just stories from his friends and family, but stories from Australian royalty. Australians in politics. Australians in fashion and business. Even some Australian sporting legends. Hearing these people share their own personal stories about their struggles helped Jack recognize his fears made him realize he's not alone. So, do you know what Jack decided to do? Jack decided to share his
story on Australia's Got Talent. And by sharing this story today, I hope I can make just at least one person get their head straight. So, now more than ever do we need people to have the courage to reach out. There's a trained professional a phone call away. 24/7. Don't cry, mate. Thank you. I want all Australians genuinely who are struggling with their mental health To remember that without the rain there can be no rainbow. So, I want all Australians to shine bright like a diamond. Thank you. How you feeling, Dad? You okay, buddy? You good?
I'm not sure if you know, mate. I've kick-started a a thing called Cut the Silence recently. Uh you and I both know that R U OK Day is not 1 day of the Year, it's every day you're on Earth as a human. And you've just told me a credible story that's incredibly personal. And the thing I know through some work I'm doing is that letting other people know they're not alone is the most important thing. But what a beautiful way for you to come here and demonstrate it with a skill that you've got that's that's
that's a card trick, but told from the heart. I've never seen it done like That. So, uh you, my friend, are incredibly brave. Know that. Thank you. I think what was most amazing about that was that we really wanted to see what this trick was all about. And it led into a story that is so important to tell. Thank you so much for sharing your story and making people uh aware that they are not alone. Well done. Thanks, Kate. David? Well, I've never heard an audience so quiet before. And even before you got into the
very sort of personal details of the story, it was still sort of mesmerizing. You are magic because you'll have changed people's lives. So, well done. Thanks, David. For me, it was just the perfect act. It was so moving, really, really moving. I've been doing This show for a long, long time. And to see something like that was truly, truly special. So, thank you so, so much and well well done. That's what you've been called. Thank you. That's actually the longest standing judge on the panel, right? So, it gives me great pleasure to say it's a
yes from me. Thank you. No, mate. It's a It's a yes from me, without a doubt. Kate. Up. It's a yes from me, an easy one. Thank you. David. And I'm sure everyone in the room and the millions of people watching want to give you a yes, too. So, you have millions and millions of yeses. Thanks so much. Aw, you didn't mean to get so emotional with it. Yeah. It's two sort of incredible things at once. Yeah. were just sort of totally hand in hand. Hello. Hello. What's your name and where are you from? My
name is Mark McMullan. I am 23 and I'm from Northern Ireland. Presumably you're going to sing for us today? I am, yes. Okay. So, what are you going to sing today? I'm going to sing Bring Him Home from Les Misérables. Aw, I love this song. And why did you choose that song? Bring Him Home is a very, very personal song to me and my family. About Nearly 6 years ago, uh my older brother took sick from a brain injury and um he's here today. But um he was he was left with a condition called locked-in
syndrome. Right. Which basically means he can't he's trapped inside his own body and the only thing he can really do is hear. So my music kind of became a big comfort for him. Aw, darling. Why Britain's Got Talent now? It just seemed to be the right time. Everything in my life kind of lined up at this moment to bring me here. So uh I just thought what the hell, just go for it. So um half of me is here today for me and to try and pursue my career in music and the other half of
me is here to kind of do them proud and yeah. Good for you. Okay, well, the stage is yours. Thank you very much. Good luck. Thank you. God on high, hear my prayer. In my need, you have always been there. He is young, he is afraid. Let him rest. Heaven blessed. Bring him home. Bring him home. Bring him home. You can't take. You can give. Let him be. Let him live. If I die, Let me die. Let him live. Bring him home. Bring him home. Bring him home. Home. Oh. Hello. Hello. How are you? I'm
good. How are you? I'm all right, thank you. Are you the last auditionee tonight? I am the last one today. Okay. Been a long day, right? It has been a long day, but I'm ready. You know, but this is if you've ever watched X Factor before, as often goes, it's the end of a long day and our last contestant Is silently waiting in the wings. Yeah. And you know what happens then? Yeah, it either goes very good or very bad. Yeah, one of the two. So, tell me about you. Um so, I'm 21. I'm from
Billingham in Teesside. Yep. Um I'm a car mechanic. Yep. And then obviously, I sing a little bit as well. And you live on your own? Uh I live with my mom. Okay. Just me and my mom. Cool. Oh, I love it you say mom like me. Yeah, she's my rock, so. And what are you going to sing? Uh I'm going to sing Jealous by Labrinth. And tell me why you've chosen that song. Um it means a lot to me for a different reason, I think, to how Labrinth wrote it. Which is? Um Um I lost
my best friend a couple of years ago. Um and I kind of interpret the lyrics in a completely different way. I lost my best friend 2 years ago. Um he was only 18 at the time. Um and we Were really, really close. We did everything together. We got a call saying we had to go to the hospital cuz he wasn't going to last the day. And I know that was was tough on Josh. Sorry. The lyrics kind of say, I'm jealous that you're happy without me. Um and I kind of see it in the sense
that I'm jealous that he's now happy in heaven, that he's moved on to a better place, and that I Can't still be with him. Well, best of luck, Josh. Thank you. My son. My mom. I'm jealous of the rain. It falls upon my skin. It's closer than my hands have been. Oh, I'm jealous of the rain. Cuz I wish you the best of all this world could give. And I told you when you left me, there's nothing to forgive. But I always thought you'd come back. Tell me all you found was heartbreak and misery. It's
hard for me to say I'm jealous of the way you're happy without me. I wish you the best of all this world could give. And I told you when you left me, there's nothing to forgive. But I always thought you'd come back. Tell me all you found was Heartbreak and misery. It's hard for me to say I'm jealous of the way you're happy without me. And it's hard for me to say I'm jealous of the way you're happy without You're happy without me. That was amazing. Um Do you know what, Josh? Honestly Wow. I was
That was the most captivated I've been in all the auditions so far. Thank you. Excuse me. I'm sorry. I'm very emotional and you really touched me. I I every word you sung. Um I kind of want to hug you. I'd love a hug. I'd love to have a hug. I'm sorry for what I wrote you. No, no, that's all right. Thanks. Well done. Thank you. Appreciate it. Nicholas. Ah. Josh, that really got me right in the heart. I was completely transfixed. Like I I didn't want it to end. Thank you. Wow. Thank you so much.
Josh, I'm going to kick this off with a very emotional yes. Also, you're getting a yes from me, Josh. Thank you. That was awesome. Thank you appreciate it. Thank you. Yes, three yeses. Thank you very much. Thank you, Manchester, for your time. I appreciate it. Thank you. Did you sing a song? Did you? Oh. My boy. My boy. I'm so bloody proud. You did do him proud, son. You did. I don't know what to do. What do I do? Um Do I go? Do I stay? You've got the words to change a nation, but you're
biting your tongue. You've spent a lifetime stuck in silence, afraid you'll say something wrong. If no one ever hears it, how we going to learn your song? So, come on, come on, come on, come on. You've got a heart of gold and a mind of diamond. So, why let your voice be tamed? Maybe we're a little different. There's no need to be ashamed. You've got the light to fight the shadows, so stop hiding it away. Come on, come on. I want to sing. I want to shout. I want to scream till the words dry out.
So, put it in all of the pages. I'm not afraid. They can read it all about it. Read it all about it. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. And now we're waking up the neighbors While we sing away the blues, making sure that we're remembered, yeah, cuz we all matter, too. If the truth has been forbidden, then we're breaking all the rules. So, come on, come on, come on, come on, let's get the TV and the radio to play our tune again. It's about time we got some airplay of our version
of events. There's no need to be afraid. I will sing with you, my friend. Come on, come on. I want to sing. I want to shout. I want to scream till the words fly out. So, put it in all of the papers. I'm not afraid. They can read all about it. Read all about it. I want to sing. I want to shout. I want to scream till the words fly out. So, put it in all Of the papers. I'm not afraid. They can read all about it. Read all about it. Very best of luck out
