[Music] we are going to drive more than 500 km to try to fly over a city that was once one of the largest in the world but no one knows who built it and why the people disappeared and on this journey to this mysterious city we will drive through the interior of Mexico passing through many remote and non-touristy places we are going to get lost people we are lost and we are still going to visit caves with underground passages formed thousands of years ago and our journey starting in the city of deop where we stopped in the previous episode this journey through the interior of Mexico with the mission of flying over a mysterious city will be divided into three parts in the first part we will face the interior of Mexico once again driving 400 km on a terrifying journey that made us get lost and have to sleep in the middle of a small town in the second part we will visit the pools and caves of tolantongo, a very interesting place with thermal waters that spring from the stones, pools on the edge of a cliff, an 80 m cave with hot water and a river with an impressive color and in the third part we arrive at mysterious city of your chacan with the mission of taking our motorhome close to the balloons and the pyramids and flying over this city at sunrise . take us to beautiful places, it happens because that's the plan, the GPS took more than 8 hours to cover 280 km, which normally takes half that time, but we're in no rush to get there, we're driving and driving our little house on wheels through a very peaceful Mexico and Rural small towns and villages dirt roads a little bit of asphalt and more dirt people going about their lives not caring much about a house on wheels from Brazil passing through there after a few hours we arrived on a bigger road and we thought things were going improve After all, well, we had arrived on a road, we can explain the many hours for just a few kilometers, construction work The entire road, chaos, people in the middle of the track, change the track, then there's a bit of asphalt, then go back to the construction site, then the horse passes chaos, chaos, really chaos we are here right now at this exact moment at 5 km/hh good weather good weather so it will take a long time for us to reach our first stop But it will be worth it I promise and we cannot forget our mission to fly over a lost civilization and tell you this story But it was worth it Stay here if we go at this pace to do this tour we will get there in a few C days but we will get there and after the road is under construction and the GPS was barely running He told us to take the left And there we entered without knowing an even more remote place and with good stories, our plan was to arrive today at our first destination, which is the caves and pools of Tolantongo, but the way things were going, it didn't seem like This would work out, we still have 545 miles to go, it seems like there isn't much work going on now we entered a section that is a detour due to the works and there is a mountain And then the track is super narrow anyway but we'll get there today If everything goes well right [Music] 4 hours and 150 km to go and we're heading as far inland as possible, I think we could pass through every rural point in Mexico, pueblitos and pueblitos, one back there said the following on a sign, be careful, it wasn't like that, something coblo Protected by the neighbors is if they catch you doing something wrong the uses and customs of the pueblo will apply I don't know what that would be but it's ok I think it's the neighbors and what the uses and customs are I think the stick breaks there's not even the police Listen to me, I'm not going to do anything wrong with the neighbors, solve it right here and another one that we passed later said that entry of vehicles and unknown people is prohibited after 9 o'clock here on a side road and that's how we go, man, it's nothing more than 40 really getting to know Mexico very deeply, right, until we get to our mission in this video, that's why you're here, we're going to deliver a great mission to you, you'll see. In the meantime, Mexican food, satisfying hunger, more avocados, more of the avocados were a little green [Music] and after many hours the night It started to fall and we ended up getting lost, isn't it that we got lost but the GPS path didn't seem very appropriate for a car the size of ours, we're lost, we already said this, when we go to a place we don't know, we have to do a lot of research, we did research, but sometimes We 'll follow the Google Maps path and we'll see we were going up to a pirambeira, a place we don't know and when we were there a motorbike passed by and luckily they were two really cool guys, look at all the people we've been talking to here at Mexico were very nice and he said no, don't go this way, the road is pima with a car like that you can't get there if you want to sleep here at my house, park here and spend the night, he insisted, it was really nice, he gave his phone if the We need something Guilhermo but we thought it would be better to look for a town, a place that is a little bigger so we can get it, there is internet to search for things so we are looking for a place to park and here there is nothing marked on the overlander I imagine it is not a tourist place So we have to stop somewhere to find a place to sleep so we can research properly to see what we are doing where we are getting into we are passing through a super friendly city but there is no Living Soul for us to ask Dude, isn't it better for us to stop here and spend the night?
I think maybe it's better , no, I'm sure it's better because looking at this map here, look at the tight curves as they are. Will it be, kitten, let's try, no, baby, it's late, there's a problem with this car, we're screwed, there's no mother alive to rob us here, no, I'm not talking about a robbery, I didn't want to go the way you are, we're going back, so I wouldn't go up there, no. We're in a city called zok zok pan zoko pan, I've never been in my life, I thought I'd sleep in zok zok Pan, but anyway, the problem is that there are a lot of sharp curves, it's here, just down here.
We'd better go back there, there's no cell phone signal, but Starlink doesn't save us, we rest, we think we're at home, we'll have some food, we'll sleep peacefully and tomorrow, my friends, tomorrow will be a new day, I really love it Ah, a wonderful breeze [Music] be link I miss you Wow At these times, save, right, save [Music] very much ours, it's going to be like this, a peaceful path, a day of good driving Worse than here, it's very nice, oh man, life has things like that, people, we're going out to take you to see a mysterious city, live long adventures but for that we have a path to get there and that is part of the path it doesn't come out today it didn't come out one day as we expected it was a little different but it is part of the path and soon we will be there if everything goes well if the We can get there, if we can get a map that takes us to the right place, it will always work out, now we can leave our starlink, oh, flying, starlink, connected, we are both here with the map, well, what I see here is our fastest way It's on these roads Down here that there are a lot of curves, this is the way. The problem is if our car, given its size, can pass well, we'll have to find out about that tomorrow. I'm looking on Google Maps and it seems to me that the We pass by but during the day it's much better to evaluate this and that's what we 're going to do tomorrow because now there really isn't much to do going down this stretch here, I think it's going to work out, we're going to be able to get to our first stop and continue with our mission to find the mysterious lost civilization and fly over it to show you how to get there with our motorhome and explore and fly over it I hope it works out But that's a business for tomorrow now my friends when we manage to connect on the internet with this link we were able to analyze this we are in a very quiet, very peaceful, very beautiful little town Tomorrow when we wake up you will see better where we slept we will see better where we slept and we will show you all this but for now good night [ Music] the unexpected night in zok zok Pan was very peaceful We woke up early and had a coffee in the morning and we left to continue with our mission of arriving with our motorhome in a mysterious civilization.
But before that we had a stop at the hot water caves of Tolantongo and that's where we're leaving, it's time to face zoki zoki Pan What are they, it's time to face the tight roads of zok zok pan and I think we're here today, let's go [Music] let's go alexos, I'm glad I didn't do that last night, not a much better day, but the curves are tight k [Music] tro con conut Grand [Music] [Music] the curves were very tight but we've driven through much worse things the decision to stop at night was the right one because during the day it's much easier for you to assess the situation and even ask for help if you need it. After a few minutes we arrived in a village located in a beautiful valley and we continued crossing for a few more kilometers until the GPS once again threw us onto a difficult and inhospitable and empty road. We are already at 1600 m high the view from here is beautiful beautiful beautiful now we are on a dirt road and we are 32 km from our first stop in this vlog 32 km you normally do it in 40 50 minutes because here there were many, many hours because once again the We were driving through very inhospitable mountainous roads with lots of curves But that's not a complaint, it's not every day that You drive through landscapes like this [Music] people in the middle of nowhere, nothing this way Av nothing this way and a church here in the middle out of nowhere the Mexican people are very religious people And look how charming The church is all decorated with lots of candles [Music] and after many hours, many kilometers, lots of stones, lots of shaking, we are arriving at our first stop to show you and I think You will agree with me that it was worth it, the view from where we parked.
It's not bad at all, my people, we came. You know, we've been driving all these kilometers to get to our mission of parking our motorhome in the lost city and we flew over you will see that it was worth it the tolantongo caves have an ancient history that dates back to the times before the Spanish invasion but it was more recently that the complex of caves and canyons ended up being discovered by travelers and adventurers, we will show you three attractions here impressive The swimming pools built into the wall of a mountain, the river with turquoise blue water that runs through the Canon and the cave with thermal water that Brota das Pedras, our first stop here is the thermal water pools built into the wall of the mountain, these pools were built or they are not natural but the water that supplies them is thermal and comes straight from the mountains people the water is warm there are some coasts where the water is warmer than the others But this one The water is very warm and then I found ours in this heat of Mexico hot water but here the temperature is a little more than Mena in other places we have been so it's very pleasant to enjoy thermal water and so you saw the places, right the places are very beautiful but the view from the places The mountains are also very cool here. So I think that's what makes the place so special, having the stations with warm crystal clear water and you being able to enjoy this wonderful view of this mountain range here, but it doesn't end there, I think the best part It's cool about this place, it's on the side where we're going to take it [Music] [Music] you guys, you would say that walking here is slippery but it's not It's very interesting he has it here, look there are a lot of swimming pools, Alé is brave with these things, isn't he?
walk here I said you're crazy if I fall here just imagine but it's really great you can walk very calmly I think they do it with that in mind, right, the place is very beautiful [Music] [Music] that you truly found the impressive nature very cool Of course there are a lot of things about man there, right, but still very cool people, in a little while we will arrive on our mission to find mysterious lost civilization and here in this same complex there is one more thing that we will show you but we have to go by car we are going there and In a little while after this, next to this next place, we'll head towards our final destination to show you the lost city, try to park our motorhome there and fly over it. Now it's time to take a water camera to show you two things the first is this thermal water waterfall which in itself is very interesting but the incredible thing here is to enter a cave under the waterfall with hot water that springs from the ceiling there is a waterfall here in the middle k [Music] Car impressive impressive and of the next to this larger cave there is another very interesting one but it is not a good place for claustrophobic people. This one you walk 80 m in a small tunnel inside the mountain with very hot water running through your feet and gushing out of the wall and here folks, this little entrance has an 80 m tunnel.
m inside this Waterfall let's go inside [Music] it's hot inside there's already room PR to hold there's a slide there's already water c on the side the formation here is very interesting very cool Let's see there's no light entering this Cave So you need to take it use a flashlight or take advantage of the light from other people's flashlights, you can walk up to a certain point and after that it is still possible to crawl and enter an even narrower part, just like in the Grotto below the Waterfall, the hot water springs from the wall and goes Heading out of the Grotto, head towards the Canyon as the water is hot and the small space feels like you are in a sauna, it looks really cool, okay, I didn't expect it to be so cool and all this water that comes out of these caves goes through the Canon forming an impressive river of blue water [Music] turquoise Get Me start smile immediately It's funny you don't have to say a Word and I Know You're to sh to Tell me what's on your heart and Life too short for me to wait for you to be m [Music ] it's warm, warm water, white stones like that, right? You can stay well, Mena, and there are several places that they dammed up along the entire river, and it's empty, this huge one, there's only me and Duda back here, there's a guy back there, no There's no one else and then you see people down there but they look very surprised by this place and it's not even our final destination yet in this video so you have to stay until the end to see what we're going to show you PR at the end from the video, but guys, I'm going to turn this blue water into yellow so I can talk to you about the nomad, the nomad is the little card we use to travel, our little yellow one, we 're traveling through the Americas and it's accepted in more than 180 countries and you can use it like you use your credit card abroad or in Brazil but it works in a much more economical way you don't spend the very expensive IOF on the credit card you use a dollar which has a better rate there is no better way of using money abroad than using your card, we've been talking about the Nomed card here in our videos for a long time, but not just because they are our partners, but because it is in fact the best way for you to use money abroad To open your account, just scan this Car code that is on the PR screen. Opening your account is completely free and using our code get 20 you still get cashback on your first transaction, it's the best tip, there's no reason why you shouldn't do it now I'm going back with the blue color and there we stayed for hours enjoying the river with warm blue waters, taking advantage of the natural hydromassage, but the day was coming to an end and we found a very special place to spend the night with our little house on wheels Before leaving tomorrow for our final mission of this [Music] video the next day we left for the final mission of this video and what a mission this is we are going to explore the pyramids and the mysteries of your uncle Wan but more than that we Do you want to park our mortal home very close to see the incredible spectacle of balloons at sunrise and finally get into one of these balloons to fly over this place that is a great mystery of humanity and the first thing we needed was to find a place to sleep and we found a camp that was next to the pyramids we arrived.
We set up camp but the plan was to wake up very early the next day and go behind the place where the balloons take off to watch this spectacle up close [Music] 6 am What a sleep we want to do something that I think will be really cool but for that we have to wake up at this time Did you see that the balloons, the balloon companies, all leave more or less from the same place, which is beyond the pyramid? So we're at the campsite here, the pyramid is in the middle. The pyramids are in the middle.
side and it's also where the sun rises so we want to take this region because I think the images will be cooler and we'll be able to see more closely if it's going to work, I don't know but that's Camping's plan It's 5 km to the place where the balloons take off and on the way we saw a spectacular sunrise. And as we got closer we started to see some balloons taking off but we didn't know if we would be able to get close enough to do it. the images we wanted to take when we got there some balloons were already in the sky and we asked to park in a plot of land where some balloons had already taken off and we were impressed with what we witnessed k [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] k [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] I flew until I couldn't but it was epic it was epic oh it was epic now you know, right ?
Tomorrow we're going to fly in a balloon What a beautiful thing, it was awesome, it was awesome and we did it Wow, here we managed to park in a really cool place, really cool to do this, very happy with it, we saw a lot, it's really beautiful, I think one of the The most beautiful things I've ever seen is seeing the blue sky all colored with balloons just rising now, what do we want to do, do we want to go to the city? at the pyramids to tell you a little about the history of this civilization, which is very interesting, one of the most interesting. Because here in Mexico, many people know the history of the Aztecs, right, it was a civilization that was one of the largest and most evolved in the Americas, right in Mesoamerica, but This is the history of the civilization that lived here in te tu ti wacan it is unknown and that is the great mystery no one knows who built it because it was not the Aztecs who discovered it later and no one knows how they disappeared it is a great mystery PR where they went PR where they went and we're going inside the pyramids now to show this to you and tomorrow my friends to close this video with a flourish we're going to fly in a balloon and show this to you I'm very excited, go be a very exciting experience, well, let's go inside now, your chacan is an archaeological site located about 50 km northeast of Mexico City, it is one of the most significant sites in pre-Columbian America and one of the largest urban centers in history.
of your chacan dates back to around 100 years before Christ, when the city began to be built, the city reached its peak between the 1st and 7th centuries after Christ, becoming one of the largest and most influential cities in Mesoamerica, it is estimated that in At its peak, Teu Chacan was home to a population of more than 100,000 inhabitants. The original inhabitants of Teu Tiwan are unknown and the city was built by a culture that left no identifiable written records. The Aztecs, who found the ruins already abandoned when they arrived in the region in the 19th century, gave the name of your ch wacan which means the place where the gods were born in nle the Aztec language the architecture of your chakan is impressive with emphasis on the great pyramids of the sun and moon that dominate the horizon the pyramid of the Sun is one of the largest structures ever built in pre-Columbian America, in addition, the city is known for its complex network of streets, squares, palaces and temples, the reasons why your chakan was abandoned remains largely unknown, some suggest that a series of factors, such as climate change, internal conflicts, or external pressures may have contributed to the decline of the city , the lack of written records left by the original inhabitants of your chwaka makes it even more difficult to compress its history.
right, approximately 100,000 people lived here between 100,000 and 200,000 say the scholars and I already have a first guess Why society disappeared man there was no public transport how did people get from one point to another walking back then people were more active But as an athlete, it's not like there are climbs, right? You go up the stairs, walk and so on, and we didn't even climb the pyramids. The objective here is to get to the pyramid at the end, the biggest one, and climb to the top because you can climb it.
But anyway, there's already the first guess Because the city disappeared, the people disappeared, it became impossible, it's a joke, okay people, it's a joke, I don't know, nowadays, in fact, it's no longer allowed to climb the pyramids But in addition to Walking Through the immense area of the Archaeological Site and seeing all the architecture and infrastructure up close in the city you can visit the Museum that brings some of the artifacts found there and that help tell the history of this place in this museum, including the bones that were found during the excavations of the city, very interesting people, right? It really makes you wonder how much we have evolved as a society, but how interesting and advanced these societies already were, how advanced they already were so many thousands of years ago, right, but anyway, we are very excited to see this from above tomorrow, right? flying in a balloon But first hunger is eating us up inside, we're starving and there's a really cool place to have lunch here which is a restaurant inside a cave and that's where we're going [Music] now the name of the restaurant It's a Grotto and as the name says you can enjoy your lunch inside a Grotto.
I'll leave my wife with a more specialized opinion on cooking, who is a phenomenon in the kitchen. If I were to say, I would leave here and stop by a restaurant here in at the street stall because I don't know if it's worth it Duda will give her opinion before Duda's opinion we took the bike to go home and it was at exactly the right time because a storm was coming which was already making us worry for our flight back tomorrow 's balloon We were about to get soaked for a minute, I locked up the bike, we got in the car, the world went down, I thought the restaurant was a super cool environment, a super different place for me, in my opinion, the food was more or less like that, about 10 me I would say but we came here to see the pyramids but to fly over them and tomorrow is the big day so in a little while it will be in the video we will wake up right scheduled to wake up at 5:30 to go to the balloons and start our flight over the pyramids [Music] balloon flights usually happen very early because the air is cooler to rise the balloons are inflated with fans and the air inside the balloon is heated with fire so that it is hotter than the air outside the balloon when the air inside the balloon it's hotter it starts to rise like the stopin it Goes And and and and again Life Goes On and on [Music] around there new [Music] an interesting fact about balloons is that you can't direct them the only thing What the pilot can do is heat the air to make it go up more or let the air cool down to go down and as the air currents can blow in different directions depending on the height, the pilot basically raises or lowers the balloon to be taken to one side or another, our balloon flight lasted approximately 1 hour and a half, flying over the pyramids of your ti wakan and giving us the chance to enjoy once again this spectacle of seeing a mysterious civilization from above and a sky full of balloons [Music] very peaceful landing There are a bunch of people here waiting for them [Music] [Music] hold What's up, my love, what an epic find, what a visual, huh, surreal?
