stylist I'm the costume designer on Gossip Girl um but anyone who works with me um get it's like drinking through a fire hose you're like who I come in and I'm like this is what we're gonna do um but it's just because I I really um I I find that fashion is a way is storytelling it's a way to um message so much more than you you can with words sometimes it's it's a silent way to message things so the way that I I come into a character is always through the fashion and through the
costumes so uh s saw in another interview you said that Ryan actually your husband Ryan rolds wrote part of that rooftop scene is that true yeah he yeah that's I mean I would have to compare it to the original one but that's 90 something 99% his his yeah he he um he just added um I mean Christy Hall wrote an incredible screenplay it was you know one of the reasons that I wanted to do this film but also you know there are are natural tweaks and modifications that come in when the actor is hired and
you're trying to infuse your own personality and your own authenticity and it's like I you know women are are are people of multitudes and you know I think that it was important to me that it didn't just feel like someone's interpretation of like female gays like it really was you know this is what we like this is what we listen to this is what makes us feel these Vibes and we had an incredible music supervisor ceson Kent and one of one of our editors Shane Reed who fun fact uh he was my editor on Taylor's
music video that I directed and I was obsessed with him and I was like this guy is amazing and he never edited a movie before he just finished Deadpool and Wolverine and he came on and helped us with this one and he has incredible taste in music um yeah and we actually we share the same composer as well from Deadpool and Wolverine so there's a lot of um there's a lot of sharing not done so like we like to be honest like I what really happened is we were like we're going to show the movie
and the studio was like no no no you're going to show 20 minutes like no no we're going to show the movie and they're like it's not done and I was like shoot they're like if everything's not perfect and it's not done and what if we're going to change things I was like I literally brought the movie with me on the airplane I have like a folder with like a disc like a hard drive Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds two of Hollywood's biggest stars are now facing one of the biggest legal battles of their careers
a massive $400 million lawsuit looms over them and today the judge did not rule in their favor Lively's once's Flawless reputation is crumbling all stemming from her disastrous marketing of it ends with us fans were outraged when she promoted the film like a light-hearted romance rather than the dark emotional story about domestic abuse it truly is instead of addressing the backlash Lively doubled down using the moment to plug her hair care line alcohol brand and fashion choices that misstep has now spiraled into two explosive lawsuits Lively is suing director Justin baldoni and his production company
Wayfair Studios for $250 million alleged ing a hostile and toxic work environment during filming she claims baldon's team smeared her reputation and targeted her with misconduct but baldoni isn't backing down he's counter suing for $400 million arguing that Lively and Ryan conspired to take control of it starts with us the highly anticipated sequel the courtroom battle it's already messy today's fight was over a gag order with Lively's legal team trying to silence baldon's Powerhouse attorney Brian fredman but the judge denied it freed argued that Lively leaked confidential legal documents to the New York Times which
published a bombshell expose that tanked baldon's career he lost his agent podcast and future projects while Lively walked away unscathed now baldon's Camp is going on the offensive they've launched a website packed with evidence including timelines text messages emails and videos that paint Lively as a master manipulator the document suggest she used false allegations to take over the movie and pined the backlash over her own marketing missteps on baldoni Lively's critics are calling her narcissistic and calculated arguing that whenever things don't go her way she retaliates and today's ruling not in her favor federal judges
rarely approve gag orders and today was no exception Lively's team pushed hard to silence fredman but judge Lewis Lyman refused stating that the Press has a right to public records the stakes couldn't be higher baldon's team claims he's lost hundreds of millions due to Lively's allegations accusing her of collaborating with the media to push a false narrative court filings even include damning receipts and video proof contradicting her claims in interviews Lively has slipped up multiple times openly admitting that she took over editing writing wardrobe and marketing effectively seizing control of baldon's film and now the
trial could happen sooner than expected if tensions keep escalating the judge May move up the court date pushing it forward from March 2026 meanwhile Lively is fighting to avoid being deposed by fredman claiming she doesn't feel comfortable being questioned by an attorney she says has defamed her character for someone who's built her brand as a Fearless Hollywood Powerhouse suddenly trying to avoid a deposition raises a lot of red flags and if the evidence keeps stacking up against her this case might not just cost her Millions it could shatter her career for good Blake Lively's legal
strategy just took another major hit she tried to block baldon's attorney Brian fredman from questioning her a move that had the courtroom raising eyebrows in federal court you don't get to pick who deposes you sure you can request accommodations but demanding the court ban an attorney that's almost laughable and the judge made it clear she doesn't get special treatment if she wants to fight this case she'll have to face the tough questions whether she likes it or not this was another huge loss cost for lively in court Not only was her gag order request denied
but fredman is 100% allowed to depose her no exceptions even though Lively is playing offense with her lawsuit she's also a co-defendant in baldon's counter claim which means she doesn't get to call the shots what's unfolding feels like a David versus Goliath Showdown baldoni and wayfairer Studios a smaller production company are fighting against Lively and Reynolds two of Hollywood's biggest names and many believe Lively and her team have been using their power to Strongarm their way through this case let's be real not every woman tells the truth and not every man is the villain Lively's
inconsistencies and contradictions are piling up and there's Now video proof of her admitting that she took over the film's production despite never being hired as a writer director or producer she was only an actress with a vanity executive producer title but that didn't stop her from seizing control according to bonian Wayfair Studios she bulldozed her way in made unauthorized changes and took over the creative process and now there's footage of her admitting it herself she rewrote scenes scrapped wardrobe choices and made executive decisions like she owned the movie Lively ditched the studio approved costumes hired
her own stylist and ran up the budget by $500,000 just for wardrobe alone but it didn't stop there she brought in her own composer and hired her own editor someone with zero experience editing films his biggest credit a Taylor Swift music video but the most shocking part she took a rough cut of the movie without permission and flew with it to Colleen Hoover's book Bonanza an event packed with fans who could have easily leaked the footage online Studios have strict distribution agreements for a reason unauthorized screenings can tank of film's success but did Lively care
nope she ignored Sony and wayf far's warnings and did it anyway a move that could have destroyed box office sales and Studio relationships and now she's trying to rewrite the narrative claiming she had no control while painting baldoni as the villain but here's the cold hard truth if she was so powerless how did she manage to have baldon's name removed from promotional materials the receipts are right there baldoni was forced into the basement he was banned for major promotions sidelined at events and forced to leave the red carpet before Lively arrived she didn't just take
over she erased him from his own movie and here's where it gets even worse Lively allegedly tried to force baldoni and way farer Studios to release a public apology just to cover up her own PR disaster after Relentless backlash over her toned deaf marketing where she plugged her hair care line alcohol brand and designer jeans while promoting a film about domestic violence she needed a scapegoat and according to Legal filings she wanted baloni to take the fall on August 12th 2024 Lively and Ryan Reynolds allegedly sent a prepared statement to baldon's team it read it
ends with us was a troubled production which we take full accountability for we are very sorry to everyone we caused upset to privately and publicly Blake Lively Colleen Hoover and the entire casting crew LED with professionalism every step of the way any negativity aimed at them is ours to own translation she wanted baldoni and his Studio to take the blame absolving herself of the disastrous PR mess she created and this isn't speculation this statement is in federal court filings Lively allegedly manipulated the situation to shift blame away from herself and make baldoni look like the
problem at this point this isn't just a lawsuit it's Hollywood Warfare Blake Lively and her team tried to bury Wayfair Studios and Justin baldon and when that didn't work they allegedly attempted to control the media narrative to protect her brand and image and but now the evidence is stacking up against her and the truth is catching up fast the statement was crafted to make it look like baldoni and wayf farer Studios were taking responsibility when in reality they weren't the ones making the mistakes here's exactly what Lively and Reynolds allegedly wanted baldon's team to release
we mutually agreed that the cast would promote the film separately and we understood why we have always acknowledged that we are not perfect even if we unintentionally make mistakes we will always own them holding ourselves accountable is no one's job but ours that is part of being man enough we will practice what we preach we are learning and growing from this experience and we appreciate everyone's patience as we navigate A Better Way Forward we are proud of the film and the incredible reception it has received our goal is to Foster important conversations and while the
film does that on screen we are committed to doing the same off screen thank you to the cast crew and public for allowing us the space to learn and grow with dedication and Humanity translation baldoni and W far were expected to take the fall for everything all to clean up Lively's PR mess and why because Blake Lively was spiraling publicly she was Reckless on Instagram giving toned deaf interviews and completely botching the film's marketing campaign she tried to shift the blame onto baldoni and his team but here's the twist wayf farer Studios and baldoni refused
they didn't cave they didn't release the statement and as a result Lively's PR disaster only got worse this question mark this is entitlement at its peak trying to bully someone else into taking the blame for your own bad decisions it's almost unbelievable and here's where it all comes full circle evidence suggests that Lively was was already working with the New York Times back in October to set up a hitpiece against baldoni the metadata from legal documents doesn't lie the plan was simple frame baldoni as the villain shift public perception and make sure he took the
fall and when that didn't work when baldoni and way Farah refused to sell the movie rights or bend to their demands Lively and Reynolds hit them with a lawsuit but now with receipts piling up and evidence exposing the real story her case is falling apart fast so where does this leave Blake and Ryan in deep trouble Hollywood doesn't forget scandals like this career sabotage deception and manipulation on this level that's not something you come back from easily could this be the downfall of Hollywood's golden couple what do you think is this the final nail in
