me not being on Tik Tok is not good because I'm starting to feel like a millennial and I'm gen Z next thing you know you're using your iPhone flashlight to read the menu at a restaurant hi Vogue today we're going to be discussing the top 2023 Trends number one oo this might shock some of you I love it it's fun to get to leave the house and not be wearing full pants like it's edgy in the sense that it's a fashion risk I can't wait for my pantsless moment I don't know when it's going to
be I do it all the time in my house when I'm by myself and it looks not Chic it looks really bad it looks sloppy and bad when I do it at home but one day I'm I'm going to participate in this trend and it's going to be a really fun day for me there's a picture ofo in the trend wait where I think it's Mella oh my god I've just been informed that I did do this TR I completely I am actually worried about myself a little bit because how could I forget about this
marel look that I did recently recently too well I think the reason why I forgot is because I was wearing fishnets and the fishnets psychologically tricked me I felt like I was wearing pants what I liked about it was that I immediately felt rebellious in this outfit I'm going to give the the pants let's try to 10 out of 10 oh well of course stealth wealth I don't necessarily love the way that it's packaged because I think that this aesthetic can absolutely be accomplished without spending a ton of money that's my only issue with it
is that I just don't like the name there are so many pieces at thrift stores right now that could build an outfit easily that fit into this stealth wealth quiet luxury aesthetic anyone and everyone should be participating I'd rate the trend itself a 9 out of 10 aesthetically like what it looks like like when I'm looking at it that's a 9 out of 10 oh okay okay yeah you know okay there's layers to this there's layers to this for me I didn't participate in it but I'll tell you why number one I just don't like
pink on myself I don't like I I don't like how it looks on me I was a pig for Halloween and that was sort of a pale pink pale pink can work for me I would rate Barbie core is 7.5 out of 10 mainly for the community aspect of it I love everyone getting together and being excited about an aesthetic I also am so inspired by the impact that a singular movie can have on everyone that's just cool Greta's a badass you know what I mean like that's so cool like I so I love that
piece of it actually I'm I'm going to bump it from a 7.5 to an eight because I just love Margot Robbie and I think that she's a phenomenal woman I don't know her personally never met her but I just like her so we're going up to an eight I love it and I can't even necessarily explain it it's like you see an outfit that's tomato girl and you're like that's tomato girl there's no questions asked it's intoxicating in a way and what I also like about it is that it's sort of vague enough that everybody's
their own tomato girl there's there's infinite ways to be tomato girl earthy colors colors that you would find in your garden it's textures and patterns that are reminiscent of of your grandma's outfit to go out and pick a tomato literally pick a tomato I'm not in with the cool kids as much as I used to be when I was on Tik Tok but what what I will tell you is that I'm happy I'm going to give tomato girl summer a 9.5 out of 10 love you tomato girls summer and to all my tomato girls watching
rock [Music] on that is what I was this summer it wasn't hot girl summer for me I was such a coastal grandmother I was wearing the loafers I was wearing khaki pants it was all you know pastel I really love the way that dressing like a coastal grandmother makes me feel number one I'm physically very comfortable in this type of clothing nothing's tight everything's sort of soft it was easy because everything sort of matched it also just feels classy and classic I love Coastal grandmother I might give it 10 out of 10 you can be
be a coastal grandmother for the rest of your life this one's controversial okay do I think it's cute yeah I do I've seen a lot of true ballerinas pissed pissed over ballerina core and I understand why I love the ballet flat I do appreciate the leg warmers it's D it's nostalgic for many people I never participated actually that's not necessarily true Jean Paul gotier show the last one that there was I don't know I even I don't even remember I don't even remember when it happened at this point but I did wear this upcycled heel
that it was basically a incredible designer took pieces of point shoes and built them into a heel I wore those and that's definitely ballet core overall I'm going to give this trend and a five I enjoy the silliness of it I really do here's the thing these are not wearable I actually don't know that I actually don't know that cuz I've never tried these on I don't think that they're functional enough and ultimately that is the point of clothes could I walk around all day in New York in these shoes these are not passing that
test I don't think there are ways to have fun with fashion in a way that you can continue to enjoy I'll give you an example I have this puppets and puppets bag okay I have two of them actually I have one bag that has a carrot on it one bag that has a banana on it these bags are ridiculous they're funny they're weird they're Quirk whatever but they're functional these shoes are clearly not that I would rate these shoes honestly a 2 out of 10 I still don't quite get what it means like is it
wearing beiges and [Music] Browns out of everyone I would think that I would be aware of what this really is and I get it like the the gorgeous color of a Lotte you know it like this this Milky sort of you know coffee that's an entire color we're repackaging wearing neutrals am I losing it I this one I don't know like now I'm freaking out so I'm giving this trend a a one out of 10 because what is it what does that even mean and maybe just maybe me not being on Tik Tok is not
good because I'm starting to feel like a millennial and I'm gen Z so I'm worried I do see the vision I think that there's something really comforting about Cottage Corp and dressing as such I'm going to start off by saying that it's not for me a lot of people have been leaning into Cottage Corp Full Throttle like okay we're decorating the home this way we're dressing this way which I understand because I think it's sort of a response to hustle culture you know we live in a in a time when it's all about fast fast
fast get to the big city get to the big city work work work work work come on everybody it's show time it's show business like it's it I don't know that was very much the energy of the prior decade feel like Cottage cor is this hunger to revert back to something that's much sweeter much slower much more healing it's like healing in a way is that something that I personally am excited about wearing no do I understand excitement around it and appreciate how that makes people feel yes I do I'd rate it an eight out
