Ice Cube does nothing for [music] me as a rapper and an actor. Okay. Nothing.
Who is this? Suckers usually don't like me. You know what I'm [laughter] saying?
Like the the people that um you know, they usually don't like me when they when they coming from that angle. That's cool though. You know, everybody got their opinion and they all stink.
You know what I'm saying? So, [laughter] at the end of the day, it's cool. Out of here.
Bleed puts everything to rest. It's over. Nah, this [ __ ] is hot right here, man.
Y got to listen to this one. There's a long list of people you control for clout. And then there's Ice Cube.
So, when a washed up comedian starts talking greasy [music] about Cub's acting, clowning his biggest records, and downplaying Tupac on the way out, most people just laughed it off as another desperate rant. But somewhere between Big Boy Studio and Vlad's Couch, that rant landed on the wrong timeline. The one where Ice Cube is hip-hop royalty and 50 Cent is watching every clip.
And that's when this stopped being just an opinion and turned into a reminder of why you don't play with certain names, no matter how bad you need a five figure Vlad check. Listen, if you think this started with a 50s IG post or Dulu meme, you're way off. It started when an entitled subpar comedian decided to disrespect one of the most respected radio shows in hip hop and took shots at Ice Cube.
On Big Boy TV, Aries wasn't just promoting a show. He was a legend. like he had personal vendetta against them.
Watch the comments now. When people talk about you ask anybody, no matter where they're region, you know, give me a top five rappers. Pac's usually always in that list, right?
I don't ever put Top Pac up there with the top rappers. First, he comes after Tupac. Straight up Pac's legacy of sham.
He literally claimed he didn't put Pack in his top five rappers. And that's not all, cuz he doubles down on it. Pac was not the greatest lyricist.
He was energy. [music] He was passionate. He made you feel him.
If that said, tear the club up, you want to tear the club up. Dear mama, you wanted to hug your mama. When you think about lyricism, [music] Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie, Jedakus, my lyrics spitters.
Now, Aries is entitled to his opinion, but the problem is you're using a respectable platform to diss a legend whose fan base will take you down in under a minute in that comment section. This grown man has been around enough to know exactly what those names mean to people, and he's treating it like a bit. Now, if he'd some sense, he'd stop there.
But Aries came with a mission to get cancelled over his stupidity because the next person on his hit list was none other than Q. If I'm [music] going Ice Cube is a I can't stand Ice Cube. That's crazy.
That's I'm not a fan of him lyrically or acting wise. But hold on, it gets worse. Really?
He's the same. How much time we got left here? Cuz should I just tell him to leave now or?
Let me tell you something. Tommy Chung, I know Tommy Chong. Tommy Chung did a great joke.
He goes, "Here's Ice Cube as a gynecologist. " Hey, Miss Jenkins, I looked at your chore. Now get up on that bike.
That's racist. And then this is what he said about today was a good day. One of the songs I hate the most.
If it comes on, I want to shoot the radio. Today was a good day. From his tone, you might think he has a point, but his credibility falls apart once you actually listen to what he's trying to criticize.
He is just listing his [music] personal preferences and not being critical of Cube's work. You've heard him say, "I can't stand Cube. " Like a dude at the back of the class who gets jealous when the teacher knows someone else's name.
I don't know if we continue this conversation or if we're supposed to like pack him out right now. On its own, you could write this off as one bitter interview. A comedian having a midlife crisis on the microphone.
But this wasn't a random slip. This was the opening move in a pattern. Trash legends stir up the comments, then act shocked when the people who actually built this culture answer back.
To understand why it hit the culture where it hurts, you have to know who Aries was dragging in the mud. Ice Cube is not just a funny guy you saw in the movies. He's one of the architects.
From writing the historically Important Straight Out of Compton to dropping America's Most Wanted to co-writing and starring in Friday and Barbershop, Cube went from gangster rap to Hollywood and turned both into his playground. Now, when a guy with this much history in the field with a no-name comic, things get ugly real fast. And do you know why everyone respects Ice Cube so much in the streets?
That is because whenever he put his mind in a niche, be it business, movies, or music, he ate. And you can't fake that. Unlike you know about Aries, some of you may not have realized um that I'm not part of the club.
And a lot of you listening to me right here, right now, you're not part of the club either. And what I realized with the club is what makes them so mad is when you don't want to be a part of their club that pisses them off. What club am I talking about?
I'm talking about the club of gatekeepers [music] that we all got to deal with. you know who they are and they definitely know who they are. Um, a lot of people be like, "What?
Who? Who? Who?
Come on, man. Stop playing. " And he's not shy about it.
Cub's been on record saying he's not part of and doesn't want to be part of any little secret club. He's one of the few legends who can talk like that because he doesn't need anyone's co-sign to stay relevant. Whatever you want to say about 50, I think he's he's, you know, a great MC.
you know, when he speaks, people want to hear. You know, he's on his way to legendary status, if you ask me. I feel like I got something to prove him musically.
You know what I mean? Like seen an interview with High School and they asked people who who he thought had potential um would actually achieve having like a legendary status to music. You know what I'm saying?
like you that had a great career trade. There's a bunch a few of them, you know what I mean? That really made their mark a lot in the world.
Will Smith took music and listening. Back in 2008 when people asked Cube who the next legends were, he named 50 Cent and 50 said straight up, I want to prove something to Cube. That six mutual respect between two sharks who've both survived this industry longer than most critics have had careers.
While Aries has no platinum albums, no classic films, no big three, just a mic. A grudge and a habit of making enemies in every room he walks into. Put hands on you.
Real black eyes. Come on, [ __ ] And that's the truth. I've had about enough of your That's the truth.
Shut the up while I'm I don't light that wish they could be black. You got to do that work though. No, I know.
Go ahead with your drunk. I know. I don't drink.
I'm very clearminded. Uh-huh. Which means I'll you more because I'm drunk.
But hold up. For those who don't know, this is Cory Hulcom's 5150 show where Aries got into it so hard with the co-host Zo Williams that it turned into a full-blown fight on air. From light-kinned jokes to fists, Aries put up a complete show of his characteristic obnoxious behavior.
He came up there and act a fool that day. And then and then I walk up to his car cuz I I felt bad about what happened. But even though he did bring it on himself, he was talking crazy to that man and first of all, how you just beat your the don't swing back.
but walking to his car. Damn, Aries. You want me to drive you home, man?
And we'll have somebody just drive your car and all like that cuz you know he was, nah, I got it. I'm like, man, all right. Next thing you know, we getting letters from lawyers.
I'm like, you did everything to ask for that woman and it's on air. You said to the man something like it was like he he challenged him. You know what I'm saying?
I don't want people to fight at my show because it it brought lawyers in the in the mix. I had to spend money, you know what I'm saying, to put out the fires. I don't want nobody fighting.
I'm old enough to know what a what a fight turns into nowadays when people hit each other. So, I didn't want that to happen. But Aries talked up on that twin and then went and got some lawyers that he gave some money to one time and then they couldn't find him after that.
his own lawyers. Terry's a whole to be honest, man. And I wouldn't say that out of no spite just what he did right there because he always used to call me to come on the show, but I used to be like, "Oh, this Aries, he going to start.
" I ain't think this why I [ __ ] up. I thought he wouldn't start this with me. I thought, "Oh, he can't do what he gonna do.
" That's what I'm thinking. Thinking what he going to do? And then that happened cuz I know Aries beats up people.
Little mother does. Aries beat he'll run up on you. From what Cory exposed, Aries is nothing more than an attention seekers who thinks trashing the big names will push him into the limelight.
You see, Aries begged for the chance to come on the show, started the drama himself, got washed, and then [music] tried to flip it into a lawsuit. But unfortunately for Wires, Cory shed light on Aries personal life that made everything so much worse. According to Cory, Aries had allegedly been involved in a DDV incident.
He claimed that Aries is always the victim in his stories, while the documented incidents tell a completely different story. I'm not a great father to [music] my kids. Oh, my heart just exploded.
He's got so So I I I want to tighten up my relationship with my son. do that and maybe the mansion will follow. [laughter] And and and and as much as I love the woman who I want to marry for the third time, I I I I che Mhm.
I women. Yeah. [music] So I have a problem.
But you have holes in your body that [music] not a mansion or a bag of cash will ever fill. Whoa, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. You know, if I'm going to up, let me up with the mansion.
But not saying I want to up. I'm just simply saying that that exterior Yeah. [music] That's what I've dreamt about.
That's what I want. Now, if I got it tomorrow, that part I could check off the list and go, I got it. But but but I still would need that other to be in place, too.
Which one can you control? Yeah. Why not both?
You can't control both. Why not both? You won't answer that.
Do you see? Do ask it again. [laughter] The surface answer the or your relationship.
The surface answer is the relationship. All right, then. That's not a surface.
But listen, my man What's real? My manager used to say to me, you want If you ever do this again, I swear to God. Yeah.
You're doing sorcery. No. No.
Okay. All right. All right.
His quote was I have it too, dude. His quote was [laughter] always was always, "You want to be rich or you want to be right? " Cuz very rarely in this business can you be both.
And I don't subscribe [music] to that. I think you can be rich and right. Is it a harder path?
Dave Chappelle is rich and right. He does whatever he wants. That's what Dave Chappelle doesn't have the same circumstances.
So when you tell me, hey, he's other women. Hey, he doesn't have a great relationship with his kids, then you then come to me, then step to me. But you are No.
Okay. You're [laughter] telling me you have an opportunity that you can create an opportunity to be wealthy first here and then see it on the outside. You're trying to get both at the same time.
You're never going to be out rich out there. You know why? Cuz you be richer here.
No. Right. cuz you're bankrupt.
But the truth has his way of coming out. And this time it was Aries himself that exposed him on live television. He admitted that he's not a good father.
He cheats in relationships and cherry on top is his bogus idea that he wants to get rich first [music] and wants to work on bettering himself later like Dave Chappelle. Well, the key difference that Ary fails to acknowledge is that Dave does not move like a [music] trash human being. You know, I got a lot of black people who be like, "Man, stay off platform.
" I hear him saying he's a culture vulture d and I'm like well first of all you keep saying to me man I hate that every time I watch I hate that every time I watch I hate that let's rewind the tape every time I watch I hate that so if you hate him why is every time you watch you're watching so he knows what to do to keep you engaged that's just called you know smart business and and listen and I also go it ain't like I'm on there for free. He pays me. Correct.
He pays me a nice five figures. So, if my choice is either stay home on a Tuesday and [music] do nothing and earn nothing or go sit down for an hour and a half and walk away with five figures where I can not make anything. What I'm going to do?
No, I agree. I'm going to make the money and I get to check them. No, I see.
I see it. That's a win-win to me. And just so we're clear, this isn't a hero being punished for telling the truth.
Aries literally says he only goes on Vlad to stir up trouble and get a five figure bag. In a black community where everyone already calls Vlad a culture vulture, he's proudly cashing a check to talk reckless about his own people. So at this point, there's Ice Cube with his multiple accolades and street credit.
While on the other hand, we've Aries and his big mouth. He treats disrespect like a marketing plan. And that's the type of energy he invited when he started talking crazy about Ice Cube with 50 watching from the sidelines.
Now, usually legends [music] ignore this kind of noise, but there is a difference between having an opinion and trampling over others for clout. First Cube took it upon himself to respond to Aries smear campaign. I saw a comedian uh speaking kind of bad about you, man.
Who is this? Ary Spears. Oh, that dude?
Yeah. He said nothing. Is he a comedian?
Cuz [laughter] he ain't never made me laugh. So I don't know if he a comedian. Suckers usually don't like me.
You know what I'm saying? Like the the people that um you know, they usually don't like me when they when they coming from that angle. That's cool though.
You know, everybody got their opinion and they all stink. You know what I'm saying? So at the end of the day, it's cool.
You know, he he entitled to his opinion. It's the the the feeling is mutual. You know, I don't think he on anybody's list of top 10 comedians.
You know what I mean? In the black community for sure. I don't even know if he's on the register.
Yeah. Cubes got no patience to tiptoe over the issue. He went right in and destroyed Aries in the worst way possible.
When 50 saw Cub's name being dragged, 50 jumped on the bandwagon to teach Aries a lesson in humility. Ice Cube was on when I'm just watching music. All of it.
Movies. All of it. Yeah.
I never really seen Ice Cube in films that weren't his, you know, like he kind of produced the vehicle that he was in and that that it wasn't like he was just being the actor in someone else's film. [music] It's his move. It's kind of his move.
Remember, this is someone that 50 himself once called a future legend. 50 flat out says he watches everything Cube is in. That means when Aries opened his mouth, he wasn't just talking to Big Boy's audience.
He was talking loud enough for 50 [music] to hear him from across the internet. 50 fired dig post attacking Aries since he likes to go on Vlad to get his bag and has nothing going on for him. He said, "Check my temperature.
I'm ice cold. The hood left the left side of my chest froze. Need help with your bills?
I'll write you a referral list. You might even get you a love contract. Lol.
" And then came the 50 Cents trolling post that no one wants to wake up to. [music] It may look like a light-hearted jab, but in the streets, 50s posts destroy credibility faster than you can say oops. But that's not it.
50 went a step further to serve Aries a humble pie. He won't forget. Nah, this [ __ ] is hot right here, man.
Y gota listen to this one. That's 50's way of saying Aries is living in his own little world. Not understanding that when you go after certain names, you're not just arguing taste, you're poking at legacy.
So, what do you do when you've talked yourself into a corner and the people you disrespected and their friends start answering back? If you're Aries Spears, you do what you always do. You [music] backpedal.
This is why it pisses me off as as as a as a comedian when they cast rappers in comedies because as a comedian, we're going to bring our natural god-given talent to a script. In a Vlad interview, he tried to rewrite the narrative into something else entirely. Like, rappers keep playing the roles that must go to standup comics and whatnot, but no one was fooled.
You can't [music] rap jealousy into a societal issue and call it a day. How hard do you think it is for street to play street? If Ice Cube did a movie where he played a doctor and [music] then did a movie where he played a lawyer, what would be different?
But once your bitterness is exposed, you just can't keep it out of your language. He claimed that his problem with Cube is that he does not have a range of characters that he can play. It's rich coming from a person who can't even play a decent role to save his life.
It's a subjective opinion. I'm I'm allowed to not like Ice Cube. I know, man.
But Aries, man, he was on me. Then he admits someone close to Cube called him and let him have it. That's when you can hear the tone change.
It's not just hypothetical anymore. Now he knows the disrespect actually reached the man he was talking about. And suddenly the person trying to be the big star by trashing a legend want to divert attention by having a nuanced conversation about options.
I want to have a conversation with y'all about a word that I think is so overly used and uh hate [music] slash hater cuz apparently I'm the poster child for the world's biggest hater. If you look up the word hate, it's my picture. Um, when did we get to a point where unless your opinion, and last time I checked, as human beings, we're all allowed to opinions.
At what point does it get to where unless your opinion is favorable about a person or a thing and goes with the flow of everyone else, you're a hater. I don't understand that. Am I not allowed to have an opinion and voice it if if it's not in the direction of everybody else?
I respect Ice Cube, the man. I respect Ice Cube in terms of what he's brought to the game. He's one of the pioneers.
So, hats off to him for that. I just said I wasn't a fan of his artistry. I never attacked him as a man.
I never attacked him [music] in terms of uh uh his character. I said I wasn't a fan of his artistry. Why am I not allowed to feel that way?
Why is that? And then secondly, it's always funny. People call me a hater because they love to highlight when I say I don't like something as though I don't have love for anything.
Now this is the real Aries below the layers of envy, jealousy, and bitterness. Now it's I respect him, but I have an opinion. This is the prime example of how Aries always acts.
He doubles down on his opinion till there is no backlash. And once he gets [music] called out, he tries to weasle his way out of the mess he created. It's about the difference between people [music] who built something, Ice Cube, 50 Cent, and people who treat that legacy like content, then cry foul when the blowback finally reaches them.
So, at the end of the day, Ice Cube and 50 have spent a decade making a career hour of their life with hard work and dignity against the circumstances they were dealt with. But as it turns out, Aries has earned a reputation of a troublemaker. You can have your opinions, but before you do, I ask you, if this is how a pioneer from NWA gets talked about in 2026, how do you think the industry talks about you when you're not in the room?
