how do you make amazing guest areas in jurassic world evolution too first i'll do you one better why should you build amazing guest areas a dinosaur park is about dinosaurs of course it is but giving jurassic world evolution two parks that wow factor is done through making creative plazas so back to the how i'm going to give you pointers and show you 10 concrete examples that you can either copy for your own perks or just take elements from and mix and match and apply it to your own builds that way this plaza you are seeing
is really basic but it has seven simple but important tricks to making any guest area look better can you figure out what they are we're gonna get back to this one at the very end of this video in the meantime comment down below if you can figure out the tricks i've used [Music] the first step to building a plaza is to flatten the area with the water brush this is so the terrain is on the same level as the water which makes it easier and prettier to incorporate water features into your guest area if you
decide to do that the path layout is something i would normally brainstorm beforehand and sometimes even make a sketch of first but this one is actually an adaptation of something jurassic tom built for the battle of the builders and i have more community examples at the end of this video this plaza would serve as a great intersection in your park because the path branches off in four different directions the plaza slash guest areas that i'm showing you in this video can of course be used as your entrance plazas but not necessarily you can put these
anywhere in your park even places where you might have an awkward space left that you don't know what to do with [Music] when you are building big guest areas with path make sure to mix up the path colors so it doesn't look flat and boring you can add a pattern or random shapes and lines i like to call that path flare what's cool about this public square is that it has a tour cutting right through it with the station attached to the plaza now like i said you don't have to copy my designs exactly although
you could if you need a little jump start with your perk that being said this video is not a step-by-step tutorial on how to create these exact 10 guest areas if you do want to recreate them just pause the video on the overview shots that i included for that reason if you want to put your own spin on something break it down to the concept and individual elements and use what you want so the concept for this is just a plaza split by a tor track you can make that any shape you want symmetrical or
asymmetrical you can make the gardens bigger you can use different colors whatever and the individual elements would be something like path pattern asymmetrical gardens the hedges the lights on the corners stuff like that you can use elements from examples later in this video and combine it with the concept of this one and this way you can make like a thousand unique combinations with just a little bit of creativity to make a beautiful plaza you really shouldn't be afraid to waste space trying to cram as much shops and dinosaurs into every map is in my opinion
a mistake if you want to make a beautiful park where again in my opinion the replayability of the game is at and i have a video with top 5 mistakes park builders make that you can check out after this video i will link it in the end if you are hesitant about using up a lot of space for anything other than dinosaurs you can easily turn a large garden and pond like this one into a smaller exhibit for small dinosaurs by lining it with planters or using the invisible fence if you have the dominion biosin
expansion top tip line your gardens slash exhibits with the cheap path this path has the most narrow collision on it so you can get the fences and rocks much closer to it than the other path types by the way i love the little elevated terrace on this plaza i have more examples coming up of using elevation within your guest areas to separate them into their own little cozy areas and to give a new view of the area itself i definitely recommend that you try incorporating this in your own plazas this is one of my favorites
i had doubts every step of the way but when it was done i was really really happy with the results so trust the process while watching this video let me know in a comment down below which of the examples was your favorite i'm really curious to know for this one i had the idea of snaking a river through the guest area all of these builds started with a very concise and simple idea like that and then it's just the case of bring it to life and adding more detail taking it one step at a time
that goes for building guest areas and for parks as a [Music] whole i hope that you'll find plenty of inspiration in this video if you do please give the video a like and of course subscribe for more park building tips and tricks but you can find inspiration in many places my personal go-to is just googling public squares and while doing that i came across a photo of saint peter's square in vatican city and that inspired this build so a kind of spoked pattern on the paving and flanking it on either side with pillars in the
case of jurassic world evolution 2 that's monorails the monorail tracks are one of the only ways of adding height when we are building so i really like using them this example is more of a garden than a plaza you don't have to pave every bit to make a guest area this design is loosely based on the gardens like what you would see at the versailles palace in france simplified of course all of the guest area builds that i'm showing in this video took a maximum of 30 minutes even the biggest and most detailed ones because
at the end of the day that was still five hours of work for me for just the building part of this video do i get a like for the effort please tell me i get a like for the effort but this one actually ended up being only 15 minutes worth of building so it was really easy and really quick but i think the results speak for themselves about what this does for the visual appeal of your parks [Music] now we're going into the hardest biome in my opinion the desert biome by the way all of
the examples shown in this video look very different when you recreate them in a different biome so you can recreate them multiple times with new results i think the cheap and fancy paths work best in the desert biome the gray path is a really harsh color contrast for this one i knew i wanted to work with elevation again at three different levels to maximize guests being able to see into the enclosure even though there is no visibility from the path in the game itself but here's another top tip ignore the rules of the game because
they aren't necessarily realistic you don't need to add a viewing gallery if you don't want to i see a 5 star rating as a nice bonus but unless it's for a challenge or something it is not my goal [Music] there are two ways you can approach incorporating a guest area in your park you can plan ahead and even have it be the starting point of your build so it can be any size or shape that you want or maybe you're already well into your park build and you end up with areas that you don't know
what to do with and those are excellent for a plaza of any size or shape whatever works so for this example i made a very elongated one like let's say there are two exhibits on either side of this you don't need to make the exhibits any bigger and have them meet and share a fence but there's also not enough space in between for a third exhibit when that's the case put a plaza in there i put shops on the side because i can and because that's the prettiest if you want to recreate this specific plaza
but if you don't have space for that just some path work seating and decoration will do the trick but you should at least add a viewing attraction at the end to make sure guests use the space and it doesn't look abandoned the key concept for this one was really just about having that central section be lower down the center is where the main park traffic would be as guests get from point a to point b and the two flanking guest areas are separated from that main pathway so it's a more peaceful area to sit down
and enjoy an overpriced lunch [Music] this is the super simple plaza that i showed you at the start and i challenged you to find the seven tricks that i used to make it better and they are very very simple but what i hope that you learned during this video is that you apply just a couple like a handful of simple tricks combine them for a single plaza you can get some really really awesome results now some of the seven tricks i used for this plaza i already discussed in the previous nine examples but some i
haven't one mix up the path colors even if it's just a tiny bit like here two line your gardens with the cheap path because of the narrow hitbox so you can fit a lot of rocks and stuff in there three break up the open space four line it with planters you can never have enough planters five the innovation center has a really pretty entrance area so make this building part of your plaza six use the tour gate as decoration seven think about the view the border of the map is typically used as the back perimeter
of enclosures in some cases though you are wasting really beautiful views reorganize your park layout so you can make use of these vistas if your plaza is at the center of your park consider going back to example seven and doing the trick i did there by having the plaza a little bit elevated above the surrounding nature for another nice view for the battle of the builders competition that i hosted i've seen many awesome park builds by community members and i wanted to share these three great examples of beautiful plazas with you i think at this
point i've given you an overdose of ideas so i'll let you get back to building now thank you so much for watching liking subscribing and until next time enjoy the game
