If you are in the phase of researching how to transition to becoming a coach, actually getting started, or maybe you've already started, maybe you started posting, maybe you started doing outreach, maybe you started making a ton of content, going on podcast, doing everything you can, but you still haven't got your first sale. This video is going to completely change that for you. In this video, I'm going to break down the step-by-step process of what you need to do in the simplest way to get your first client in the next seven days and have everything set up so you can do that.
So, if you stay also to the end, I'm also going to break down one of the things that one of my clients did to do exactly what I'm telling you about getting his first client in the first seven days. So, I'm going to share my iPad screen and we are going to dive into things. So, guys, when it comes to creating a coaching business, it it's not rocket science.
There's really only three things that we need to make sure that we have in place. The very first one is going to be your foundations. Okay, this does not need to take a lot of time to do when I work with clients is typically takes anywhere from 24 to 72 hours to lock down and get done.
Especially if you know your ideal client very well and what you want to offer, everything becomes a lot easier. You could probably do it even faster than that. So, the first thing that we want to focus on is your ICP, which is basically your ideal client.
Who do you ideally want to work with? Okay, let's and we want to get really specific with the person. Let's say you do weight loss.
I want to help women that and I not only get a generic range. I want to do a specific person. Let's say the woman's married.
She's 45 years old. She has three kids. She works a little bit.
She's running around from job to job. So, she gets very busy and doesn't have the time to do that. The problem is she doesn't even know where to start.
Right? I start going down just lit. I just put it on a Google document.
That's all that I typically do when we work together with clients and even in my own business. Okay? That's number one of all you needed to identify.
Next thing, once you've done that, you're then going to make your offer. All that the offer is is simply just taking the problem of this ICP and simply presenting a solution. That is all you need to do.
Who do you want to help? What are the problem that this person faces? And then all you need to do is say, "Okay, got it.
Here's the solution to that problem that you're facing. " That is all you need to do. It doesn't need to be perfect.
I I can tell you you just going ahead and sitting down maybe for a couple of hours and saying, "Okay, boom. This is the ideal person I want to work with and here is the solution to their problem. " You doing that will not take you a lot of time.
It's not going to be perfect. But instead of trying to think about, oh, what about this, what about that, just go start having conversations with this person. And that's going to be step number two, what I'm going to talk about.
But you will gain so much more by talking to your ideal client in regards to learning about what you need to do. and it will all naturally lead to sales than just sitting around doing research for weeks, for months, for years for some people that I talked to. So, this is step number one of what you need to do.
Now, once we've identified the ICP and the offer, we now need to transition on to actually talking to these people. And how are we going to talk to them? Well, we need to go ahead and get in front of them.
Now, there's three parts behind marketing. Okay, the first one is we need to generate awareness. It's very difficult to go ahead and get someone to buy if they don't even know you exist.
And this is where most coaches get stuck. They are not getting in front of their ideal client. And what ultimately happens is that they think, "Oh, well, I just got to go ahead and post a bunch of content.
" Little do they know that when you actually post a piece of content, let's say this is an iPhone, okay? It doesn't go to your entire audience of, let's say you have 500 followers. It doesn't.
It only goes to your first, let's say, 10 or so people, maybe 30 people, whatever that looks like. And then if those 30 people like it, then it goes to 50 people. Then it goes to 70 people.
Then it goes to your remaining audience out of the 500. And then that's when things start to go viral. Only if all of these people right here actually liked your content.
And so with that, it makes it more difficult. Are there ways to go viral on social media? Absolutely.
But do I think that this is the best way to go ahead and generate the leads, generate the awareness? No, I do not. And when it comes to generating this awareness, there are three things that you can go ahead and do.
And I'm going to break down which one I'd recommend for you. Okay. Number one, you have content, which we've talked about before.
We have number two, which is going to be outreach, and number three is going to be paid ads. Now, content and outreach are two free mediums. You don't need to pay in order to do these things.
Content, as I just mentioned, the hard parts behind it. That's that. Outreach can be a great way to go ahead and get your first client.
You probably could whip out your phone and just start going through your contact list of all the people that you know and do a phenomenal job just to have conversations and everything. So, that is one way. But the hard part is then a lot of coaches I see, they're like, "Oh, I don't want to reach out to people and it's tough and whatever.
" My preferred way to go ahead and do it is literally just run a paid ad. don't need things to be perfect. Okay, in in a little while I'm going to explain how one of our clients went ahead and used paid ads to literally get his first client in 7 days.
Brand new coach. Hadn't really done much of anything. Hadn't done that yet.
Okay, so paid ads and all that I can simply be cuz you want to think about it. The only difference between content and paid ads is that with paid ads, you're just simply paying to put a message in front of someone instead of organically posting on social media. So, let's say you make a post that calls out your ideal client.
Hey, if you are a mom who is completely overwhelmed between kids, between work, between house responsibilities, between everything you need to do, and because of that, your health has been neglected, you've put on a few extra pounds, and you don't know where to start. What I have decided to put together is a free training for busy moms like you that allows you to get a very clear understanding of the three simple steps that you can do to completely make that fat shred right off and create a consistent healthy habit that allows you to put yourself first without neglecting your family, neglecting your job and your house responsibilities. If you're interested in checking it out, click the link below and check out the free training.
Boom. That could be an example of a paid ad. All that it is is you're just simply taking a message and putting it in front of people.
And a lot of coaches get worried, oh no, but I'm not good on camera or anything like that. Literally, I work with some clients. We don't even do a video to start.
We literally just make a picture graphic that literally looks like this right here. This is literally one of the people that I work with, okay? Got pain.
R U 40 plus and have aches, pains or tightness? Question mark. Join our free community to fix it now.
This is literally and then this is like a black box. This is in white. This is no joke the entire thing.
That's all that we post. Like everyone feels this need to over complicate things on generating leads on doing all of that on running ads and everything. Literally, if you wanted to run an ad, you could go into your notes app, type this exact thing, make got pain a little bit bigger so it catches people's attention and then just put a message, take a screenshot, and you run the ad to that.
Yes, I understand that sometimes these paid ads and all that stuff can seem complicated and all that, but it doesn't need to be. Guys, all that you need to do, I'm telling you, these are the three ways that you get in front of people. These are the three ways that you generate awareness so you can start having conversations.
Pick one. Either make content, which we know has a tendency to take a little longer and you have to dial it in. Number two, outreach.
Go ahead and find people inside of your contact list, which is a phenomenal way to do it, but if you're not comfortable with that, do paid ads. Let all that you need to do is just take your ideal client, the solution that you offer people, and just simply put it in front of them. Talk about one of their pain points.
Talk about their problem. Hey, are you facing this problem? Click below to go ahead and check out the solution.
Boom. That's all that it is. And so, you go and go ahead and run a paid ad to where you go to a free video training.
You could literally just say instead of join our free community, just say, uh, click below to learn how. And it literally just goes to a lead form where they give you their name, their phone number, and their email. You are literally getting people to say, "Hey, I want help.
I want help. " And then those are the people that you call. And it doesn't need to be a lot of money.
This woman right here that we're running her ads for, we're currently generating leads for her for $4. 72. I know it cuz I was just checking it yesterday, so I know the precise number.
$4. 72 you can pay to go ahead and get someone who has pain that's 40 plus, and has aches, pains, and tightness. That is exactly in this theoretical situation.
what you help people with, right? So, let's say you sell a $5,000 coaching program or let's even just go something lower to start. Okay?
Let's say a $2,500 coaching program. This just round up. Let's say it's easy.
$5. You could literally get 550. Yeah.
You could literally go ahead and have 500 leads and still be break even. And so I say that because there's so much power behind paid ads and instead of you needing this weird feeling of oh I don't like to reach out to the people don't over complicate it. Be your ideal client is already out there is already needing help and you just need to put a message in front of them that you have a solution to their problem.
That's all that it is. And people want the solution. And so coming back to it cuz I know I kind of went into some of the details of it.
You need a way to generate awareness. These are the three ways you could do it. If you are wanting more help and guidance on which of these three ways is going to be best for you, your situation, how to do it, maybe you want to do paid ads and there's a lot of intricacies.
In short, if you want clarity on how to generate awareness because the biggest thing that holds coaches back, click the first link down below, book a call with me and my team. We can give you a game plan strategy and if we'd like to, we can also talk about working together. We'll figure that after.
Just go ahead book a call and we'll have a chat. Anyway, coming back to it, marketing number one, you need to generate awareness. People need to see you and know that you actually exist.
Number one. Number two, what we then need to do is we need to nurture. And all that this basically is is you need to get people to know you, to like you, and to trust you.
And ultimately also see you as an authority, an expert, and really just the biggest thing, someone to help, someone that can help solve their problem. A lot of coaches I talk to, they go ahead online, they start seeing all these other experts. Oh my gosh, this guy's so much better than me and everything.
It doesn't matter. This woman in the example that we've talked about is looking to go ahead and lose 30 lbs. Get a healthy lifestyle.
Can you help her do that? Yes or no? It's that simple.
And so ultimately, inside of this step number two of the marketing process, you need to nurture. You need to go ahead and showcase your expertise. How can you go ahead and do this?
You just need to have a conversation with them, right? You could do this just by simply having a phone call with someone. You can go ahead and get them to have emails as well.
You can send make value emails that talk about some of the tips that you recommend. Now, we're talking about getting our lead in the first seven days. So, I'm going to keep my mind to it.
So, if I needed to get my lead in the first seven days, boom, paid ads done. This is done literally 24 hours. I have a general sense and direction of what I want to do.
It's not going to be perfect. I'm just going to get started. Boom.
That's one day. Okay. I'm gonna go ahead and spend the next 24 hours making this paid ad.
If it's me just sitting down, I could do this in probably about an hour, maybe two. But you, I'll say 24 hours. Okay?
I'll even give you 48 hours. Okay? We're now 3 days in.
From that point, you are now getting leads coming into your business. You just need to start having conversations with people. That is it.
Okay? And in my opinion, if I'm focusing on this uh this 7day timeline that we're talking about, literally as soon as someone opts in, says that they need the help, they want more information, boom, I call them and I start talking to them, right? You need a way to go ahead and nurture them.
You need a way to demonstrate your expertise. Especially in today's world of everyone claiming, "Oh, I can help you with this. I can help you with that," and everything.
It it makes it much more difficult to go and decipher who's real, who's not. And so, you just need a way to nurture on that. Okay, I know I'm getting a little I checked my time over here and we know we're getting a little long, so I'm going to kind of go ahead and move a little quicker to wrap it up.
If you guys are liking this video, make sure to drop a like. Anyway, part two of the marketing is going to be nurturing. You need a way to get people to know, like, and trust you.
Get people to see you as an authority expert. And ultimately, all you need to demonstrate is that you can solve their problem. Simplest way, call them, have a conversation, and that's it.
You're not going to get everyone to go and pick up the phone immediately. So, just keep calling and doing that. uh very last part.
Once we have had a way to generate the awareness, generate the lead, we then have a way to nurture them. We've talked about phone, just showcasing your expertise. We talked about emails.
There's other ways we can nurture, but I'm focusing just on this for now of the first seven days. Part C is going to be we need a way to go ahead and book them. Same exact thing as before.
I'd recommend just getting them on the phone call. You're already going to have a phone call because you're going to demonstrate your expertise. You're going to nurture them from that phone call.
At the end of that initial phone call, just say, "Hey, if there was a way I could, right, let's go back to the example of this woman. Hey, if there was a way I could really help you lose these 30 pounds and create a system that's simple, even with your crazy schedule, is that something that you'd be open to having a conversation about maybe working with me to help you do? " Great.
That's all you need to do. It's called a if I could, would you statement? That's all you need.
Okay. Now, at this point, we have talked about getting the ideal client in the offer. It's not going to be perfect.
Just put something out. Then, we talked about launching paid ads if it were me. There's these other mediums, too.
24, 48 hours. Then, we just start having conversations to go ahead and nurture them to book them on an actual sales call, not that initial call. And that moves us into part number three, which is the very last part, which is the sales.
And all that you need to do is you need to show them, sham them, show them that you can solve their problem. That's all it is. You just need to effectively communicate that to them.
What does the person need to see to feel confident that you could actually help them lose 30 pounds? That you can make a simple system. That's all you need to do.
And it can really be that easy, you guys. Okay? And so I know I told you at the very beginning of the video that I would give you a breakdown of what one of our clients went ahead and did.
Okay. So all that we did brand new, he hadn't really done much. And so we decided to go ahead and run a Facebook ad.
Facebook ad to go ahead and do it. Uh he was on nutrition and his ideal client I believe was women around like 40 years old. So actually now I think about something similar from what this whole explanation that we had here.
Okay, so Facebook ad, we identified the ICP, we identified the offer. He's selling a $5,000 program. Okay, we ran a Facebook ad that was literally just like this graphic that I just showed you right here that you could literally just write in your notes and take a screenshot.
Then from the Facebook ad, we ran it to a free community. Didn't really involve much work upfront. It literally just when he clicked on the ad, it would bring it to a free school community that they could join and everything.
You could do it to where it's uh a Facebook group. There's a lot of different ways to go about it. Anyway, I'm explaining his scenario.
Facebook ad into a free community. What he then did is he went ahead and had a phone call. Let's see if I can do this right.
Okay, you get it. I'm not an artist, but you that's supposed to be a phone. Okay.
He had a phone call, initial phone call, which then he would go into a sales call. You do the if I could, would you? Like I went ahead and talked to you guys about before.
And then from then the sales call then turned into a paying client. Now was it let's say 100% perfect and it was the very first person you talked to that turned into a sale. Not necessarily.
But ultimately he just went ahead and had conversations. From having these conversations you also understand how do I get better at my offer? How do I get more clear on who my ICP is?
What are the real problems that my ICP is facing? Because when you better understand the problems, you can better understand and market to them. You can generate the awareness because if you can speak directly to their problem, then they're going to listen to you.
And so ultimately, instead of you sitting around waiting months and months to go ahead and finally do something, to finally put something out, instead of needing to wait for your website to be done and this to be perfect on your social media, just get started. There are people out there, your ideal client is out there and needs your help and they're just going to keep suffering. If you don't help them, they're not going to get the help that they need.
And so with that said, not only is and I and I'm not saying this to be too harsh, but I just want to speak the truth to you guys. The harsh reality behind it is that not only by you procrastinating, by you pushing it off, by you saying, "Oh, I can do it tomorrow. " and needing to do more research, not only are you not making more money, which makes it difficult for your life, your family's life, you're also hurting your ideal client because they're not getting the help that they need.
So, I challenge you, get started. It's not going to be perfect. Just put something out.
And so, if you are looking for help to put something out, click the link below. Let's book a call. we can help build some of these different aspects out for you, make it even easier so we can launch quickly.
But that's my recommendation for you. Go ahead, get started, have conversations with your ideal client, and then sales will start coming in. So, let's say you've done this, you finally got your first sale.
You did it. Let's go. But the next thing now is, okay, well, you made your first sale.
Great. But how do you do it consistently? And so, that's going to be the next hurdle that you're going to need to go ahead and face.
And so if you want an understanding of how can you take this system that I just showed you and turn it into a consistent basis to where you can be getting clients over and over and over again to be making at least $5 to $10,000 per month with your coaching business. Obviously we can talk about scaling up even another video.
