This is my cousin Trey. He suffered a major stroke. So, we're going to show you beginner [Music] exercises.
We're going to try body weight first. So, walking reaches. You're going to walk, reach, stand up.
Walk, reach, stand up. Got it. [Music] [Music] Now, easy, hard, somewhere in the middle.
Okay, it was good. Not difficult. No.
Let's try to add some weight. Same movement. So, you're going to reach, stand [Music] up.
Exactly. One more. Good.
Right there. Set back. Let's go back over there.
That's good. right there. Now, we're going to try another exercise.
Try to do some walking lunges. I want you to step. Get the back knee as close to the ground as you can.
Try to stay upright. You're not reaching like last exercise. Just try to stay as upright as you can.
Step. Don't reach. Don't reach.
Don't reach just yet. Hands on the hips. That's not bad.
Get that back knee down there. Not not terrible. Ah, you step right.
Stand up. Stand up. Nice.
Right foot. [Music] Yep. Good.
Right there. That's good. You want to try a weight or is that difficult for you?
What do you How do you feel? I can try. All right.
Okay. Stay more upright. Stay more upright.
Unlike the last exercise, you're trying to make the legs work more [Music] here. All right. Stop right there.
Take those back. Take them back. We're going to do a thing called a clean and press.
Okay. So, you ready? You're going to reach, come up, and in one move, press overhead.
Back down. And you're going to do it fast. As fast as you can get.
Ready? Go. Yes.
Do 10 of those. At the top, be straight up and down. Don't look down.
Yes. Straight overhead. Straight overhead.
Keep them arms straight overhead. Straight overhead. Straight overhead.
Make that right arm. Do it. Make it do it.
It doesn't want to. Make it do it. There you go.
Like that. Make it do it. Make it do it.
Make it do it. There you go. I saw I was falling behind, but when I said make it do it, you made it do it.
That's good. You can always make yourself do more. That's good.
So, we're going to try push-ups. And we've already tried where you know you can't do a full push-up again yet. Plus, you got a weak right side.
So what you're going to do, you came to a half. So you're going to do little quarters. You get you have to work within the range of motion that you got or you're strong enough to do.
And eventually over time, weeks and months, if you get a little lower, you know, months and months add up and you go lower and lower. That's how you get it. That's how you get it.
Ready? Don't go too low. I want you to do like four, five, 10.
However many you can get. Up. Up.
Yeah. Don't go too low. Three.
Come on. Four. Come on.
Is there another one in there? Yes. I bet you if I tell you it's a million dollars here, there be another one in there.
Good. Let's try one more time. Come on.
Come on. Come on. All right.
A few inches. Not that low. Up.
Up. Okay. Maybe not.
Okay, man. Live to fight another day. Okay.
Come back. That's good. That's how you get it.
You do it little by little by little. That's how you do. That's good.
Take a break.
