3 resist your own thoughts your mind continuously throws thoughts at you and you have very little control over the amount of thoughts and the type of thoughts that flow through your mind and there are two different types of people in the world the vast majority fit into the first category these are people who think that they are their thoughts that what they think defines them the second category of people are who you need to join they are those that know that your brain produces thoughts and you can choose which thoughts you want to associate with if you think every thought that you have is real then you are a prisoner to your mind and you will not be in control of how you see yourself at what direction you are going your thoughts are a continuous stream that you can monitor as if it was a stream of content as you observe your thoughts you can agree or disagree with some of them and the thoughts that you disagree with are going to show you that you have a bit of reprogramming that you have to do for your mind that will help guide you on what activities you should do more of or spoken affirmations that you should say more of so that you adjust what types of thoughts you produce over time this approach is going to help fight against depression and loneliness and also will help raise your self confidence your thoughts are an output from your mind machine work towards tweaking your mind so that the thoughts you produce are serving you No. 4 resist your emotions similar to how you need to resist the wrong thoughts you also need to resist some of the emotions that you experience emotions are the result of chemical reactions in your body eat the wrong thing lack some nutrients be exposed to the wrong substance these things can impact your emotions if you are defined by your emotions then you are once again a prisoner you need to resist your emotions when you disagree with them view your emotions as signals given to you that you should investigate further if you are experiencing an emotion that does not serve you try to understand why and solve the problem like a scientist make adjustments to your diet your exercise your surroundings some people ride their emotions straight into their own prison cell you can't let your emotions define you you must resist No. 5 resist instant gratification your dopamine addicted mind will crave things that give it that instant gratification and companies know this to be a powerful motivator that's why they have made tons of money off of it whether it be from feeding you sugar alcohol or endless scrolling does any of that work in your favor does it feel real good to have companies take advantage of you and make money off of you to your detriment you should be furious about this if there's anything to resist it should be this fight against the urge to get cheap dopamine hits commit to delayed gratification fall in love with the pain that comes with all things that build you your health your wealth your life take back control No.
6 resist the hype every month there's a new buzzword a new fashion trend a new thing that is cool resist all of that and focus on your core priorities swaying back and forth with the wind of hype is exhausting and a waste of your time stop caring what people think and commit to the timeless principles that do not change over time those that flop around are not anchored in their own priorities so differentiate yourself from that crowd it's not a good one to associate with No. 7 resist comparison life is not about you versus them everything that matters is you versus you but it's natural to compare yourself to others and society pushes that narrative especially media and social media you can't help but compare yourself to someone else that seems to have more than you yet again you must resist whenever a thought of comparison comes up in your head observe that thought and let it pass and return to focusing on making yourself that much better each day compare yourself today to who you were yesterday see what works and what doesn't see what you can do better to make yourself happier to help you feel real good about life that's it there's nothing else to it No. 8 resist just making other people money what you do in your day to day is making other people a lot of money that's fine to a certain degree but you need to be very mindful of it realize that what you see in here is guiding you to spend your money and time on things that don't serve you resist spending your money on products and services that are not worth what you pay resist watching content that is not helpful focus on making your own assets building your own wealth taking care of your own body you need to be intentional to not fall into this trap only those that know what's going on and take actions to avoid the default flow of things will wake up and find their own path it's the red pill or the blue pill it's a choice and I hope you make the right one No.
