[Music] hello everyone and welcome to use your Spanish welcome one more time to this new episode of this manual in context o in which you can learn some new words new vocabulary new expressions common sayings etc in the context of situations of our daily life through the stories of our dear Spanish friend Miguel today's topic is to have breakfast in Spanish we say it this a June our automat el desayuno I know I say this in every video I make but I want to remind you if you are new here that these kinds of videos
are divided in three sections in the first section you are going to listen to Miguel to tell us a story about his daily life and he's going to be telling this story in a very slow speed very low speed so that you can get the right pronunciation of every single word in the second section you are going to listen to me I am going to explain to you some of the concepts or some words expressions common sayings etc that maybe you don't understand or maybe they are new for you so I take the time to
explain slowly and to add also some details for example in today's video Miguel is going to talk about having coffee so I'm going to explain to you some different kinds of coffee and what are their characteristics all in Spanish so that you get the right pronunciation the right vocabulary and then you can use it in the right context too and finally in the last section you are going to listen to me gyal one more time but this time at a normal speed just as if Miguel was talking to someone on the street but at that
point you will find it very easy to understand because you have already gotten all the information and all the explanation about different vocabulary in words so I'm going to stop here and let's get started [Music] después de hacer me Eva steer me estoy listo para desayuno general mente me desayuno es bastante simply lo primero que llamo es el sender la cafetaria automatica eMeter una capsula de cafe para hacer may unix Paraiso algunas personas an Adela pero yo prefiero el sabor intenso del cafe en la mañana pues me ayuda Esther activo para iniciar el dia lui
something you can repeat again and just wait until the end after the explanation that I'm going to give you now the first thing that I would like to explain to you and that I already mentioned before was that we have in Spanish a verb that we use to express the idea of having breakfast and is the verb decide unit of course we can also say tomar el desayuno which is the literal translation of having breakfast and also this applies for the other meals of the day like for example we would say almorzar khmer or cenar
but of course we can also say tomar la cena to have dinner automatically Mercia which would be to have lunch so this is just for you to keep in mind that we have two ways of expressing these things the next thing that I would like to explain is the expression bastante simply this expression could be expressed by saying Mui simply or sincerely or basic or something very simple something very basic that that's what bastante simply means now I don't know if you recognize this or you have ever seen these things that I'm showing you on
the screen right now but these are called caps ULA's capsulized a cafe and these are used in the new coffee machines that are the commonalities so Miguel says that he puts one of these capsules in the coffee machine so he used Vermette air but you can also use other verbs like paneer Cola car or Seaguar which mean more or less the same thing in this context so to put would be paneer matterr Cola car or c2 are okay so now as I said before I would like to describe some of the most common types of
cafe the first type of cafe or coffee is el cafe solo or L cafe expresso which is just coffee you don't get it with milk you don't get it with anything else you just get the coffee and it's just normal it's very small coffee then you have the Caffe americano which is just a bigger cafe it's just like the expresso but it's more coffee what you get is that's the idea here the next type of cafe is cafe Cortado which means that you put just a little bit of milk to the coffee but just a
little bit that's why it's called quartile which means cut the idea is just you cut the color of the coffee just by adding a little bit of milk so it changes the color but it's not that much milk it's just a little bit then you have cafe con leche which means that you add more milk than in the previous one so it's when you ask for a cafe con leche you're going to get a coffee with more milk then you have cafe bonbon this is also very common type of coffee that you could ask for
in Spain and is a coffee with condensed milk so if you order a cafe bonbon you're going to get a very sweet coffee because it has condensed milk cappuccino is just the normal Italian cafe you already know that one and then also this cafe natto which is the one that is caffeine free coffee so those are I mean of course there are many many more maybe types of coffee but these are the most common ones that you can find in Spain that you can ask for let's say in a bar or in the rest or
whatever so this is just for your information and maybe you didn't know this Miguel also said that in the morning he likes the intense flavor of coffee because it helps him to get activated for the rest of the day more or less that's what he said so when we talk about flavor or the smell of something especially when we are talking about food we are involving our senses so let's talk about los cinco centi dos which are the five senses that we have the first one is el sentido del gusto we can say things like
sabor they are or prova algo joão serrão la Gazzetta oh job prove oh la leche these are things that you are trying tasting with your mouth then the next sense is el sentido de la vista or la vision and we can say things like there or mid are these are the verbs that we use with this sense and we can say things for example like Joao Vale anamarie pasa or Joe Mira la televisión etc so these are just a few examples but you get the idea and the next sense is el sentido del Ocho or
la adición some verbs that we can use with this ends are a year OH escucha usually these two verbs are used synonyms some people make some distinctions between them but usually they are just synonyms and we can say things like oh Egret our own Nino or escuche little minnow Oh yo hago musica Oh Joyce couch Oh musica so sometimes you can you know depending on the context one may fit better than the other but usually they are just synonyms and you can use them in distinctively so the next one is el sentido de lord vato
to verbs that we can use or that are related to this sense art verbs or layer and all Fatiha but Oler is the one that we used most all Figueres mostly used for dogs they are the ones who are very good at you know finding things with their smelling sense so some examples with these two verbs would be like yo well oh la comida or el perro l-fatiha in el campo and so on just things that you get the idea one more time and finally the fifth sense is el sentido del taco which is the
one that you use to touch things and to feel things with your with your fingers with your hands with your skin so l variable tocar is the one to view sometimes so an example with this verb would be no Davis tocar el vuelo so you shouldn't touch the fire because you get burned porchetta kemeras so this is just an example okay so finally we have this which are the five senses and of course I am going to be adding more vocabulary that is going to be related to this topic like the human body etc so
if you want to keep up to date on all this material that I upload so just don't forget to follow me on use your Spanish both in Facebook and Instagram I upload the same things on both of these social networks just because nowadays some people use more often Instagram and some people use Facebook so for me it's the same so I'm going to upload all the materials in both of these maybe sometimes on Instagram I share some stories and yeah but it depends so if you don't want to miss out you just can follow me
on both of them okay so let's continue la Alesana this word I don't know if you have ever heard about this word but yeah sometimes we use it especially when we are talking about food in the kitchen this is the concept of what an ALICE ana es la cena es una or Mario Kampf Huerta's estan taze que se you separa Gwadar alimentos you tense illios de cosas just to storage some food and cutlery dishes etc in the kitchen then okay so Miguel says Ravin odda because he was talking about bread but you know these are
little pieces and we have different names to describe little pieces of food for example if you're talking about fruit and you want to say can I have just a little bit of pineapple you can say para comer una Tejada the Pina opodo comer una Ramona Pina you can use any of these words to refer or to express the idea of getting just a little bit or a piece of something una Tejada una Ranade una parada ha un trozo un para so let's continue so then he was talking about some common breakfasts at least in Spain
they are very common like for example Wells con jamon he said that he wished he had more time to cook but he needs to hurry up so he didn't have time to cook but if he had time he would cook some huevos con jamon which is eggs with ham or some churros con chocolate this is very typical breakfast in Madrid in Spain or some toast with olive oil and tomato so tostada is gonna say to deliver automatic so just let me know in the comments what is what you usually have for breakfast because I am
so sure that it changes according to countries like in my country in Colombia is very different from the breakfasts that you can find here in Spain so just let me know and at the same time you can practice your Spanish trying to translate what you have for breakfast in your country in Spanish so leave it in the comments ok so let's continue the expression that Miguel uses saying de prisa or compressor it refers to something that you have to do you know in a rush when you are in a hurry when you are rushing because
you need to do something super quick so the the definition of these expressions could be con rapid s aruna velocidad superior a la vie toile or a la que se considera normal so it's something that you are trying to do you know faster than at the speed that you usually do things you know like you can do sometimes things at a certain speed but when you are doing something the presa or something complete side means that you have to do it quickly you have to do it faster because maybe you don't have time maybe because
you are in a hurry whatever so these two expressions you can use them from now on when you are having a conversation in Spanish an example would be like no me gusta comer de prisa I don't like to eat in a hurry or I don't like to eat fast you know like I want to have time to enjoy my meal to enjoy my food so that's an expression that you can use now so now the expression at the empo so when you do something at the empo it means that you do it on time d'ivoire
acaba algo and any momento justo so if you are doing something a tiempo you are doing it at the right moment for example je gay al cine a tiempo para la película so you went to the movies you went to the cinema on time for the movie that you wanted to watch or that you wanted to see okay then Miguel mentioned something like while he is having his breakfast you know relaxed and he is having his his little piece of bread with oil or something he likes to check his social networks he I think that
something very common nowadays we check our social networks our Facebook our Instagram our whatever it is in the morning so I would like to share with you some vocabulary maybe I'm going to make another video later about this but you know here you can have an idea of the expressions or the vocabulary that we usually use when we talk about social networks so some of these expressions or these words are Dharma gusta or no me gusta if you like something you give a like for example if you like this video you are going to give
me a like so MELAS other on me gusta but if you don't like something to give a dislike in Spanish we say oh no me gusta then the next word is subscribe which in spanish is suscribirse and then when you want to unsubscribe you say in spanish cancel a subscription or - the Baha Baha is very very common in Spain then you have comment add to leave a comment comment arrow they hadn't come and tell you which I hope you do on my videos with your questions then seguir when you follow someone or something a
page or whatever you are following or when you want to unfollow someone or something what you do is they hire the segi la pagina or the hardest year on a persona etc then notification notification that's very simple la pagina is the page l / Phil is the profile when you have the profile picture is la imagen de / field or a photo leper field so if you want also to learn more vocabulary about these things I keep uploading pictures with vocabulary on my social networks on Facebook or on Instagram and use your Spanish so please
make sure that you are following me messed as siendo and misread associates a/k/a suscribers and me pagina okay so now you understand how the message let's continue so Miguel also said that he likes to be up-to-date for all the acontecimientos acontecimiento is un sucesso or una Vento an event something that happened so the things that happen every day that the things that you see on the news etc those are acontecimientos oten Sileo the definition in spanish is una hito fabric allo para undetermined odd oh-oh so en especial si es una so frequent a como el
domestic oh-oh artisanal eek a general meant a simony ha man mint then Miguel also uses dis pression para mas tarde which you can also express in Spanish para despues or paralegal so that's just for later when you want to do something later you can say in Spanish que hacer lo mas tarde para ser lo despues que hacer lo luego all of those forms are acceptable and that's it that's that's my part my explanation I hope you understand now a little bit more of this stuff and and you have learned new things you know we are
taking all these ideas from the story of Miguel Miguel story so now you are going to listen to me gyal story at the normal speed so you are going to be able to understand better because now you have listened to it in a very slow speed and you got an explanation of them may be unknown expressions and words and now you're going to listen to it at a normal speed ok so you can close your eyes if you want and listen to it try to follow the dialogue or try to follow the story Miguel's story
ok so let's go después de ser Mavis tear me estoy listo para de se Yoon our general meant a me desayuno s bastante simply the primero que o essence and airlock afetr Automatica a materna capsula de cafe para firm a un expresso algunas personas another leche pero yo prefiero el sabor intenso del cafe en la mañana pues me ayuda ester activo paronychia el dia luego a bro la la cena para buscar el pang tomo door reba nadas las Pongo en la toasted hora cuando el cough esta listo Yelp a guest at estado me gusta poner
