[Music] this is [Music] FL [Music] is Bumstead AKA cbum thank you for coming man of course yeah it's an honor to be on here and thank you for calling me seom it's funny people have to call me seboom or Kaboom in Brazil That's my Nickname here well uh here in bra Brazil we actually uh everybody says not everybody but most people say Siam but they write in the most creative ways yeah it's I can't even well s i b a n for example uh so most creative ways so uh I have to deliver the the
the sponsors the the the messages in a few minutes I'm going to show you my physique oh can't wait I can't Wait just don't make me show you mine no I've already seen it I was there uh FL and they've got a present for you to Gi Oh very exciting this is for you thank you I hope it fits it should I believe it will I need more clothes while I'm down here thank [Music] you for Would you like well you wouldn't but anyway take a look at that oh wow yeah it works it obviously
works it does yeah my God it's always horrible we've made an AR for you this is how we see you this is my anime mode I like it I wish my hair looked that good still too yeah it it it will be right soon enough yes yes soon enough There's something else if you're watching this this uh live stream in English and you would like to to watch it in Portuguese okay there is the the there's a link here in the description because we're live streaming uh we are doing two live streams okay uh one
in English and the other one with the the translation so uh feel free you can choose okay so uh about the hair how do you like my results they look good I hope mine are just as good what made you Decide to to do a hair transplant I mean I've been losing my hair for a few years now and obviously bodybuilding can lead to some hair loss and in 2018 I had a I got a little sick from an autoimmune reaction and the meds I had to take for that made my hair fall out in
clumps and it never came back the same and I mean as men we obviously like to have nice hair there's only so much work we can do on our face without looking like whatever you know so I wanted nice hair Yeah but uh you know uh when you're bald but also a monster it also looks good right you can see the rock there's the rock does it looks a little intimidating too you know and I don't want to look scary yet I'm having a daughter when she's a teenager I'll go bald I'll get more tattoos
and I want to look scary then but not yet soon enough yeah okay okay uh but you're about to become a dad right yep how does it feel man I'm very excited Yeah it was something wasn't really planned in this moment but something I've always wanted and I've pretty been pretty vocal that the I'm very excited for the next chapter of my life to be a father it's like my biggest goal and now that it's happening it's it's very exciting yeah it's crazy because I have two girls two little girls and my life changed completely
when and it's funny because uh it's not when you know your wife is pregnant I I suppose you're Going to feel the same it's when you you you the baby's in your arms when when it's in your arms I don't know something changes you know so everything you you live for uh it's like it's like your heart is no longer inside your chest it's crazy man I can't explain it but you're going to feel it for sure yeah no I've heard the same thing from a lot of fathers they say you have to actually hold
the baby to feel it whereas the mother has 9 months to bond with it in Her belly and everything so I'm still very excited to meet her and hold her in my arms uh did you have any problems to uh I don't know to become a dad because of the steroids or something no it it just happened without even trying so obviously not yeah wow yeah I I've heard uh that it becomes it increasingly becomes more difficult absolutely yeah whenever a young kid asks me if they should just take steroids I'm like that's one of
the Biggest risks I tell them that come with it because most people don't understand that and it's a pretty common risk so if you're young and thinking about doing it I'm like don't even think about it unless it's your career and you're certain of the risk and everything because if I had not been able to I would definitely would have probably been filled with a lot of regret but luckily we have a little girl on the way yeah awesome uh about steroids uh would You I mean obviously you you're an athlete So you you're actually
five time Mr Olympia that's not that's no small feat uh but do you think you would you would be on steroids if you weren't an athlete no unless if I needed it medically but if I wasn't competing professionally no interesting yeah well I I feel the same you know I understand that for uh high performance to be on stage to be on Mr Olympia there there's no other way MH right although there are some natural natural uh competitions but they don't get the same attention by the way uh why why do you think uh classic
physique which is your division uh has gotten so this much attention uh in late years because it was always about the open right so what's going on it's still very new and I think open bodybuilding was becoming so extreme that it was becoming like Watching this unattainable like craziness that you could never want to be or you would never want to look like yourself it was just looking at something insane oras classic physique is still like a little bit more beautiful if you will like people actually like looking at it it's a little bit more
pleasant you can look normal in clothes you don't have to look huge you're a little bit less restricted in your daily life and everything so I Think it's just it seems more attainable even though it's definitely not cuz it still takes crazy crazy genetics to have it all but I think people just enjoy it's a little bit less freaky to them it's more normal I guess and I think it's helped a lot we have a lot of amazing people who are in the sport you know myself we're all younger in this generation of classic 2
because it's you don't have to be as big you can get into it faster therefore most of us are Younger into social media more grow our BR more which of grows a sport more people like Ramon is one of is probably the most popular one most popular people in Brazil period because of who he is at his young age and everything in classic physique so I think people really relate to him and they just enjoy following along the journey and there's the Rivalry right yeah of course yep I uh when you arrived here I I
I told you that I thought that you were Here in Brazil to check Ramon's water see if there's something else there right and it told me maybe I'll put something else there seeing him there's definitely something in his water but it's pretty cool because uh when I see you guys together you were training together yeah right today today ear uh it feels like I don't know it's it's pretty cool to watch because uh uh people would expect you would hate each other but that's not the case you play With each other especially uh uh I
remember watching a video uh during the Olympia that you were I don't know you're just choking him and something and I and I was looking at that and man this is cool yeah it's amazing that they they get together mhm so uh but hamon he he I told you I was I was rooting for him during Olympia that's okay that's fair I'm Brazilian he's close to me of course yeah he needs all the help he can get well uh uh he was pretty close this Year he was a lot closer yeah I like you man
I I think it's impossible not to like you I think it's I don't know you miss a a little bit of this feeling when you're not with your mustache it loses it a little bit yeah I got chubby cheeks now though so I had it with a beard it helps how about that uh how long how do you do your preparation is it uh year long um I typically take some time off after the Olympia like just now me and Ramon we both were Similar he said he hadn't really trained in about 2 months and
I haven't trained in about 2 months or so myself partly because of the hair but I just give my body some rest and then I typically build myself back up until about 16 weeks out the Olympia and then that's when I really lock in prep dieting trying to lose weight get down get lean enough and everything and for the last seven years I've only done the Olympia so I qualified for the Olympia back in 2017 and since then the only show I've done is the Olympia so I give myself a year to get ready for
the next one and I think that's a big thing that's kept me on the top and constantly improving cuz I give my body the break for that whereas a lot of athletes like to do the Arnold or compete in other shows and then they don't have enough offseason to grow and to let their body recover so I think that's something that's given me a lot of benefit over them and it helps That once you win the Olympia you're qualified for life so I never have to do another show so I think that's something that's helped
me and but yeah it's it's a year-long process but not constantly working sometimes what I need to do is rest and then get back to work you started uh on Olympia 2017 y yeah right that my first year so uh does it still feel the same when you when you're on stage I wouldn't say the same it's different but it's still every Year has had its own reason to be very beautiful and exciting and I've enjoyed every single one but for different reasons so there's no like lack of Joy up there I still enjoy it
a lot but it's it's just different now yeah yeah well I was in the last one lots of people there uh and it's crazy because uh everybody told me that it's an incredible show and I didn't I didn't realize until I was there you know because uh it is very very Grand you Know so everything is Big everything is fleshy and so many divisions and so many interesting divisions there are some that I I felt a little scared maybe May weird but uh most of them are are incredible especially I think it's because well I've
been I've been uh going to the training center you were today MH uh and I've been I I I see how these athletes train and how their routines Are very strict and I started Ed admiring the the Buddy Builders a lot more because I was there to see that there's a lot of effort it's not it's definitely not just I don't know science or steroids or something like this it's a lot of hard work MH and it's funny because uh you just it doesn't happen by chance some people come to me and say I don't
want to be I don't want to look like this don't worry man don't worry there's you you you are at no risk right So there is a lot of work to put and I started admiring and being there in Mr Olympia and watching uh people that I that I I was I don't know I kind of was there when they were training and seeing them and their poses and stuff it was I don't know magical I I don't know it's it's weird because I'm I'm chubby you know so I I I don't know if I'm
supposed to like bodybuilding yeah you can like whatever you want but it's you know uh I don't know but I I felt something else It was completely different from what I expected it was an amazing show it's that's what it is I suppose a great show yeah right uh but uh you this is the you you're five times Olympia champion and there were some rumors that you were going to retire but I already know you aren't right I've seen you talking about that but uh there were also some people talking about uh having seom in
the open Division is that a possibility you you just told me that there it's I don't know they're they look too much like you didn't say that but I am saying but they look like freaks I am saying that not you you can say yeah so uh I think they like to look like that though so I don't think it's offensive oh yeah yeah it shows that they're where they need to be what are your thoughts about uh competing in open Division I mean I've always kind of joked about it CU for Mean for the
last three years everyone's told me I should go to the open and everyone thought I've been retiring every single year it's just something that gets talked about after the Olympia I don't know if they're bored of seeing me in classic physique or not but it's something I've entertained for the fun of it but I would never do what it takes to be like super competitive because at my height at about 6' one I would need to be probably 300 lb in my offseason And diet down to like 270 260 on stage whereas I'm 240 on
stage right now so for me to put on 20 pounds of muscle be really hard on my body be hard on my health and it would just not it's not a goal that I really want to do so I've entertained maybe doing an open show looking the same or just dieting a little bit less so being less lean so I look a little bit bigger but I don't actually have more muscle I've talked about doing that but right now I just Love doing classic physique so much It Feels So Right like it's just what it's
what I'm meant to be I enjoy it I'm still getting better at it and progressing and winning so maybe I do a show outside of the Olympia but it's I only kind of joke about it for fun if if it happens it happens I'm not really planning on it how do you train your poses because uh they're amazing maybe you're the best I've seen especially the side chest it's Incredible uh how do you train those it's really just practice you know you practice practice with my coach who has like a good eye for it he's
been coaching for 20 plus years so he's seen a lot he knows how to adjust what looks bets for different bodies and everything I've been doing it for 10 years now so it comes with practice of course every year I've gotten a little bit better and it's just learning your body it's same as bodybuilding when you're working out The better you can feel your muscles of your body your mind musle connection the better the workout you're going to get and then that translates over into posing so typically people who have better mind bus connection can
train better and they're also better posing posers cuz they just they know their body better you have you like to do a pose uh that's scary it's the one that you I don't know something opens here right so it's scary it's you look twice The size yeah that's why you like it so much course that's why I like it one of my favorite poses yeah uh about the side chest is is it the right name side chest y yeah uh I did my homework there you go yeah uh I think it it's it helps you
can please correct me if I'm saying anything uh I think it helps you hide your injuries mhm right on your biceps on your leg uh and you do it so perfectly That uh it the pose itself does a very good job at hiding the injuries and how does these injuries uh actually uh make your life harder I mean they have really made my life harder after I tore my bicep in 2022 I recovered from that after like two or 3 months and then I got back to training and I didn't even notice it since so
my injuries have are healed and they're completely fine no pain no pain no I don't I don't even notice them at All anymore so I got lucky with those ones luckily it wasn't like a tear off the bone ever it was just in the middle of my muscle so it was able to heal properly but other than that it's I guess I got lucky and I gave it time to recover as well that's important yeah what about the you have something on your kidney right I have an autoimmune disease yeah it's comes from my immune
system essentially but that was in 2018 when I got sick that's what kind of Affected me back then but since then I do a lot of blood work and testing medical stuff and I've only gotten healthier since then so it's my B everything I'm doing to take care of my health is working right now uh so you get to to be a a regular athlete even even though you have I'm a little more cautious than both athletes I definitely know that you know I what kind what kind of what kind of caution do you do
you have what kind of precaution do you I'll Use less steroids than most I'll come off for longer times of the year I'm just more like cautious about it uhhuh I can't can't think of the word right mostly about steroids about that and about my health overall I don't just think about the food I'm putting in my body isn't just about protein and calories and putting on weight losing weight I'm eating as healthy as possible giveing myself the nutrients I can do I do stuff like stem cells in glutathione In the offseason I work with
doctors who understand my condition and can take care of my health better so I've been very proactive about my health which Honestly made me feel like it was a blessing when I got sick in 2018 because instead of me just being a bodybuilder and trying to be huge and shredded I actually switched my perspective and focus on my health first and then also being a bodybuilder as well and since then I've understood that you don't need As much steroids as most people take and you just have to work a little bit harder from that work
on your diet a little bit more be more consistent and since then like I said I've gotten healthier so I think it Cheng is a challenge yeah I mean everything's a challenge yeah and obviously being the best in the world is going to come with a challenge trying to do anything at a high level is hard it does make uh make the process a little harder right for Sure yeah it makes me have to work a little bit harder but makes it more fun too more rewarding that way that's an interesting point the higher the
mountain you climb the more grateful you are to make it to the top yeah I was trying well I was thinking of a joke but I won't make it you could hit me so there a big table between us so you're good well uh yeah but about uh you you said you you your trainer uh has been on on this training Stuff for 20 years more than more more than but he's not this long with you you you used to train with your brother-in-law am I right exactly yeah my brother-in-law actually got me into bodybuilding
so when I was in high school he started dating my sister they're married now but they met each other when I was in high school and I was into working out at the time but not so much bodybuilding and he saw a lot of potential in me cuz I had great genetics Were you doing sports I was playing football and track and field and basketball when I was younger and spending a lot of time in the gym so when he saw the potential I had he just I worked out with him every now and then
he helped me kind of understand how to put on more muscle and after I was 19 I guess he was like you should try competing in a bodybuilding show I'll coach you we'll see how it goes and then I did that show and I did my sister did It with me actually both both competed and we both won the show overall as Juniors and it was history from there we went on to work with each other for eight years won three olympias and then two years ago I switched to my current coach hanon rambod and
then we won the last two olympias together so everybody around you likes going to the gym right yeah pretty much you know you you build friends with like mind so we all enjoy the same stuff your wife is a former Miss Olympia right yeah in 2016 she won Miss bikini yeah yeah is there where you met her no well we met through on like the fitness industry but she actually slid in my DMs on Instagram and messaged me and I had had a crush on her cuz she was like the famous bikini competitor when I
was like the young kid trying to come up you know so she sold in my DMs and then replied to her I brought her up to Canada where I lived and impressed her enough that she stuck around so now It's creating a family together wow that's pretty crazy yeah now you're having a baby it's pretty crazy about about your uh your brother-in-law uh I I don't know but I suppose it was a uh more it wasn't just business you you were friends right you you you I don't know you were too close not to be
friends or like we're like brothers like Brothers family yeah yeah do you feel do you feel you can view the same relationship with your your new coach do I view the same yeah because I don't know if I can compare relationships directly but I'm very close friends with my current coach I mean I would call him a brother too we're like family and he's taking care of me I take care of him now and as long as even when I'm done competing I'm sure we'll still stay connected because we become good friends you're you're you're
starting at bodybuilding uh this story it's a little different from what I'm Used it's usually I watched Conan and I don't know I saw Arnold chagger and I wanted to be a bodybuilder um uh do you do is there do you have any uh person that you inspire you that you I don't know maybe Ron kma or something I really wasn't into bodybuilding when I was young I played Sports and that was it and I liked the idea of having muscle but I didn't have any magazines there was no bodybuilders I looked up to I
really didn't start to Understand any bodybuilders or who they were until I started competing myself so it was no one like that really you obviously we all think our dad is the strongest person in the world so I thought he was super strong when I was young and I wanted to be strong and then when I met Ian and started to train with him he was a biggest strongest guy I'd ever met in my life and he was who I wanted to look up to so he was probably the first bodybuilder I like directly Looked
up to interesting uh it's completely different from all the other stories I've heard but uh how did you feel when you started seeing your your muscles I don't know showing up when you were 19 I mean I definitely enjoyed it I started noticing them when I was in like when I was probably 15 16 I started working out in the gym really young and that's when I started to get a little attention from the ladies do you have pictures of of that time there are some Pictures yeah I have are they public are they on
Instagram I think some of them have been on Instagram yeah at some point I've reposted them we can try and dig those up but that was when I started to get attention from it and enjoyed it and I played a lot of team sports and track and field and I really like track and field because it was dependent on my own work and the gym obviously is the same same you just go in there quietly can kind of forget about everything else And just work really hard and you get the same results of as hard
as you work so I enjoyed that part of it and just fell in love with the whole process I heard you you you're also into anime yep are you I somebody told me told me that your favorite character is saski Itachi Itachi yeah Itachi Naruto sucks man he that was my worst I ever watched it was really good I for me it was uh s sensea yeah see I admit when I was young I wasn't the bodybuilding and I wasn't Into anime my parents didn't really let me watch a lot of that stuff so I
only started watching it in the last like six years of my life so I had a training partner who's a really close friend of mine too and he's really into anime and during prep he was like you should try watching Naruto it's the best thing to get through prep and I was like all right I'll try and I got hooked I watched like 500 episodes that prep took up all my time Haven got me through it And since then I've been enjoying it it's like a nice little Escape like you said you like to play
video games sometime to kind of unwind sometimes I like to watch that and it lets me unwind why Itachi I just felt like his story it was a very just interesting story how throughout the show first you kind of hate him you think he's this bad guy you understand he killed his family why would he do that and then it starts to Unravel the why he did it and how all along he was like thinking he was doing the greater good for the city and then he was actually trying to help SAS K2 along and
everything you learn about him it just it's a really deep story line that I was very fascinated do you to watch anime do you still watch I do a bit yeah I just watched uh Demon Slayer I started watching bleach this year in prep this is old that's an old one yeah yeah what about Attack on Titan I've Watched the first two seasons of that one didn't like it I don't love it but I like I do like it not like the other ones so okay okay and games you you mentioned some games like I
know you like Call of Duty mhm right what you you also told me that you you haven't been playing for the last years maybe yeah I haven't played in since Co really I haven't played seriously and it was I used it always when I was younger and in Co a way to connect with my friends we All played Call of Duty online and we just we had a I had a really good friend group from high school and they all really liked video games so I just played it with them and then now that I've
gotten older and busier I haven't really had the time to play and I used it as a way to bond with my friends like I told you playing Super Smash Bros in college all the time you know I play we'd go downstairs in our dorm room and get four of us get on there and play Against each other and it was just a fun way to hang out with friends so now that I'm busy and every day I do what I love working with my friends I spend less time playing video games uh that guy
over there he he found you on the internet uh through a video that you were playing uh PS PlayStation and his comments were uh the controller looks so small in his hands I guess so I can imagine it would look even smaller in Ramon's hands I my Forearms look like Twigs beside that guy yeah that's crazy uh uh you you you told me that you were you were into sports already and you told me how you got into bodybuilding uh do you see yourself competing for a very long time still no I've always said I
think 30 would be the oldest I would ever go to that's what I've said my whole career and I still feel the same I've never been someone who wanted to do it for very long and I'm lucky that I became successful at a very young age so now that I'm only 28 years old and I've already won five times I've already had a more successful career than I ever imagined so everything here is is bonus points for me but you know there's more to life than bodybuilding obviously it restricts you a lot it's 24/7 like
you said it takes a lot of work cuz it's not just a sport where you need to perform you need to perform and you need to look a Certain way so everything matters what goes into your body how you eat how you train everything is important and obviously at some point in my life I would like to step away from that not worry so much about how I look and just enjoy life and the other aspects that life has to offer so does your wife still compete no she retired to after her Olympia when she
stopped competing okay uh so uh it's uh only her has to put up with you uh when you were on prep Yeah I've gotten better though I used to be a little more Snappy or she'd call me sharp back in the day but I've gotten a lot more effective with it and I've learned how to handle the pressure a lot better because for a while what stressed me up most was the pressure of feeling like just the pressure I put on myself to succeed and now that I've been able to manage that a little bit
better and I've become more mature and more confident in the sport I enjoy it a Little bit more now which makes me more enjoyable to be around as well so we've been a lot better for sure the last few years cool uh what about I know I know that you uh you also have some businesses like raw you're here in Brazil because of that actually right you're bringing the brand to Brazil right we're working on it yes interesting yeah we've had a I've always received a lot of love and support from the Brazilian fans and
I've been very Grateful and appreciative of that so it seemed like a no-brainer that we wanted to bring our brand down here obviously bodybuilding is very big down here especially connected to the Olympia so I think it would be something very cool to kind of share with my fans down here in the country so something we came down here to entertain how to do it nice uh do you have a um an ETA for it for for raw not really no it's it's proven more difficult than we thought to Expand into Brazil it's a whole
new country so we're hoping within the year at least but I heard there are some complications with uh components on what you can sell here right uh some things that is okay to to uh put on the product on North North America uh it's not okay yeah they're a lot more strict here about ingredients and dosing so like some of our pre-workouts in America wouldn't be allowed here so we need to understand that and it's also very Expensive to send stuff here and to import it into the country so we need to be able to
make it here and there's a lot of logistics to work out that we need to figure out first but we're hope we're hopeful we can make it work do you see yourself in the future as a businessman or are you still uh are you going to be well you said your stop competing right but you never said you wouldn't do something else on the scene like being a judge or something would You like to is that something you you I don't know feel like doing I don't think I could judge I don't have the patience
for that they sit there and just stare at everybody on stage and have to be very focused for like 12 hours sometimes a day and I don't have the patience for that so not judging but I definitely will always be involved in the sport obviously it's it's shaped me into who I am it's brought me a lot of success and a lot of beautiful memories so I think It's something I'll always be involved with but I'm just going to have to figure out how in the future but maybe I'll have my own show one day
maybe kind of just some way I'd like to just help the sport grow especially the classic VII division how's the spor in Canada how is it yeah it's good it's not as big as Brazil or America but there's still a lot of bodybuilders up there and they they enjoy it just a little bit less than the US and Brazil like I said yeah We have a lot of people in Brazil right Brazil loves bodybuilding yeah yeah uh do you have any other businesses yeah we have a few we have a another Evan energy drink company
called bum energy that's only in America as well we have one called revive MD it's like vitamins and supplements one called Von treats it's like a protein snack company and then I also have a training app online so it's like an application to help people with workout Programs that's pretty cool I didn't know about that mhm training app and what to show your protocols what yeah do do you do you actually uh are there videos of you training or or showing or teaching something what's what's there there's some there's videos of me performing the exercise
but it's it's a program so it's every single day we put up exactly what I'm doing in the gym so the sets the Reps the exercises of what I'm doing in the gym you can follow Along with on the app and then there's a few other versions of different style of workouts that I don't do myself every day that people can follow along so if you're new to the gym or you're trying to find out like how to work out or look for a little inspiration you can just get on there follow along and there's
a weight tracker on it so you can track how much weight you lift there a nutrition tracker to count your Macros and stuff on it so just a little cheat Code to help people get jacked interesting yeah I know I know a lot of people here in Brazil who who do the same thing they have the their I don't know their training programs online like a I don't know a uh digital product info EB yeah so it's a kind of a they they coach people through videos or through maybe some live stream stuff yeah that's
not what you do you have an app and there are videos there but but You're not live with people no no no it's it's a much cheaper option for people to follow cuz coaching typically is $200 or more a month whereas mine's $13 a month so it's very different I see yeah uh so uh what why do you think raw is going to be successful in braz because we already have Max Tiano here with uh hon for example for sure every success story needs a good rival right are you telling me Ramon's Not successful just
because the Olympia has me every I'm not I'm not everybody needs a good rival so you know I think it it'll be good to come down here and help and I'm not saying we're going to be Rivals you know maybe Ramone will help us one day and we'll help Max and who knows how it works there's a lot of there's a lot of people in Brazil that use a lot of supplements I imagine imag a l Brazilian if and get it out to them and help them to achieve their fitness goals I I think it'll
all work out uh about about going to to the gym we here uh in the studio almost everybody here except for him obviously uh we all we all started uh maybe three or four months ago going to the gym I was way larger mhm you know uh and now we are we are doing a a kind of a online series that we call it Shap you know shape shape yeah yeah the problem is when you're uh when you smoke a lot of weed in English you say you're high yeah right get the Munch in Portuguese
you say shapu so when you put the word shape and Adu if you just look at it you will read shaad so uh High you know so uh we decided to to change it a little bit and take a look at this this is for you I don't know this one is definitely not going to fit okay but I don't know Give it someone else take a look sheap sheap so if I had a nay here it would sound like high in Portuguese but uh so what does that directly translate to if not high uh
looking good looking good shape you know so uh this is for you thank you so do you guys get high and go to the gym or do you just go to the gym well I heard it's it's uh it's a good thing to do uh after you you end your training Because I don't know it relaxes your muscles people say I don't know I have some friends who love to work out High because they say they they can feel the weights better I have some friends who who say that uh when they're training high they
can focus a lot better on what they're doing so uh they know exactly what muscle they should be activating for example so that's why they like to be High when they're training interesting good to have Friends like that yeah yeah I like those friends too but uh the thing is uh I have changed a lot you know my body of course uh I I don't even dream of becoming an athlete that's not my thing I know it it takes a lot of a lot more effort than I can put you know so I I my
life is completely different from the life of an athlete yeah but uh going to the gym has brought me so many benefits that it has changed my life but I am still in that phase I was talking to her Uh I I still don't feel like going to the gym you know you're not quite there yet still Force I don't know if I will ever be there yeah you know so it takes me a lot of effort mental effort to I don't know just leave home and go to the gym when I'm there I'm already
there so let's do it right but the road to get there and I don't it's 15 minutes from here the the training center you were today uh but still man come on how do you like it it's not something people Like because people like what they're good at though that's right the longer you do something you typically get better at it and then you're able to enjoy it more you could be very good at Call of Duty this is true if you're very good at Call of Duty and you get a little bit better you
enjoy getting a little better so you want to play more so you get even better just like working out when you get in good shape you're like wow I really like that if I work Work a little harder I can get more shape and then you start to enjoy the process of becoming better and in turn you enjoy being at the gym but everybody's different do you think that's something that somebody can learn because really man I I well the the thing that made most difference most difference to me was uh my my little daughter
she likes to climb on me you know but uh some months ago I I just couldn't you know everything started to Hurt I couldn't walk all right for a day or two yeah because I was you know real fat and I didn't do any kind of exercise but when I started and I I noticed I could play with her it was something to think you know it was wow okay so there's something good happening here so you enjoyed the result of it but you didn't enjoy actually doing it that's right yeah so uh I enjoy
looking at the mirror and there is something who looks Better looking back but that's not enough to make you enjoy like eating right that's eating right you guys live in Brazil it's easy to eat right here you guys have steak and chicken and rice and beans and everywhere yeah that's all you need to eat I like bread bread is very good especially toast even better what's your what's the food you would like to eat but you can't when you're own prep that's a good question usually Bread bread too I'm the same I like sandwiches anything
between bread like bread with peanut butter or just like a a club sandwich something simple I love eating that but I've eaten very healthy for a lot of years now and my wife is a really good cook and a really good Baker so she makes me healthy good food which makes it way easier so when she's making good food all the time and I'm able to eat that it makes me crave other stuff a lot less are you going to let your kid Uh drink some soda I'm not going to stop them completely but I
won't encourage them I won't buy them soda until you know I'm not going to be a complete like crazy person who doesn't let them have anything bad but of course I'll I'll try and instill good habits on them and hopefully them seeing how I eat and how their mom eats which is even healthier than me then they'll just kind of follow along but I won't force them to do Anything are there where do you train at at home at a training center I have a private gym you have a private gym partner in on the
businesses have the gym called revive down in Stewart where Florida where we live and then I also have a private one so so no beginners show up no it's like the the one that you were talking about down the street from here completely private yeah yeah well in this case there are beginners there I'm there you know I guess you're Special then well I have good friends in special places there you go good to have those friends yeah and and it's actually the the atmosphere there is pretty cool you know so everybody is trying to
help you and it's not uh well one one of the things that I thought when I started uh going to the gym was like everybody's going to make fun of me because I everyone's afraid of that but it never really happens yeah it didn't happen at all you know there was once I was I was Doing some uh Physiotherapy and it was hurting a little bit so I was eyes closed and then I got I got kissed I got kissed what the [ __ ] when I looked it was Dino I was this monster just
kissed me you know so the atmosphere is pretty cool all my friends are there so uh you you don't train alone with your coach do you some he doesn't live in the same city as meuh so we don't get to train together very often so this year at least I how does How does it work only on prep you're together you're never together we're rarely together a few weeks of the year total so so I'll I'll see him every now and then I'll go to him where he lives in Texas he'll come to me and
then we'll create a game plan tell me what to do and I just follow a it interesting and living with a a an next athlete and somebody who likes to leave healthy so to speak you're not exactly healthy right healthy as I can Be yeah because uh high performance bodybuilder can't can't stop to be healthy right you have to be perfect on stage for sure right so uh that's something that karani has told me many times that uh high performance is not about health MH so I think some people use that as an excuse though
too I know a lot cuz of course you're not competing to be healthy you're competing to look good but within that there's choices that you make like I spoke about How much supplements you take the type of food you eat the recovery you take doing your blood work making sure everything's healthy there's other choices you can make to be as healthy as possible but a lot of people will just say bodybuilding is not healthy so why should I even try and be healthy and then they just make themselves even more healthy with that mindset whereas
you can do the best you can and have limitations like myself I do blood work All the time and might see my doctors and if my health has been getting worth worse since 2018 when I found out I have an autoimmune disease then I would stop bodybuilding it wouldn't just be about being a bodybuild be about my health and I would stop but because it's been getting healthier because of the focus I've been putting on it I I keep going because I still enjoy it and I'm healthy but it's a push and take you know
a lot of people don't really want to think Like that they just want to think I'm bodybuilding when I retire I'll try and be healthy but by then it's often too late which sucks so you go to you still have to be cautious of it while you're in it I see yeah I thought you were saying the opposite like uh people uh don't put enough work to say they're healthy when they should be putting more work but you're actually saying the opposite people put too much work or they don't care a lot about health uh
When they should with the excuse of being of of being the best shape possible but mhm that's crazy I mean you don't want to die right you can't you can't be on the on on the stage if you're dead exactly yeah and I mean not many people actually win an Olympia so are you sacrificing your long-term Health just to have a six-pack for a few years like does that really matter long term of course not so it's a a decision that Needs to be made right what what did your parents tell you when you started
buddy Beauty they were a little hesitant at first and they didn't understand why but my parents were very understanding and they understood how hard I worked and everything I did in my life so they trusted me they're like okay you know it's it's better than other stuff he could be doing and then when they came to my first show and I won and they saw the joy that I had in it and they saw The discipline and the work I put in and the joy that brought me they were just super proud so I have
very supportive parents and I mean over my career they've been able to follow along and they've been to all my olympias that I won so far so they're they're supportive they definitely thought it was weird at first and they weren't very happy when I dropped out of college to become a bodybuilder fulltime what were you studying uh Health Sciences yeah so I Didn't know exactly what I to be I was maybe thinking of becoming a physiotherapist or something along those lines and then I was in the middle of school and 2017 was my second year
of University and that was the year I came second at the Olympia my first year and that's when I was like all right I need to either go full-time bodybuilding or I'm going to miss this chance so I dropped at a school and chase after it and my mom gave me a hard time for Probably 10 years after that that I should should still go back to school and get my degree but I think she understands now I don't need it I see yeah because it's not it's not something that is very usual right not
everybody wants to be a bodybuilder or some people don't even my parents for example they uh maybe they still don't understand how I make money yeah you know it's a different world now yeah it's a different world right And maybe I I I asked you that because maybe they were worried like my son what's he going to how is is he going to make a living he's going to the gym right but it worked out yeah they they put a lot they made me very independent from a young age and they they they trusted me
so they they let it right out and I was young so if all else fails I can always go back to plan B but luckily it didn't it all worked out so just grateful to still be on this journey When you are when you are competing in in Olympia do you watch the other the other shows to the other divisions typically not just because I'm so busy but if I can sneak out there I will now that it's now that I've become more popular I can't really go out in the crowd and watch cuz people
will be harassing me for a picture sure but my first year ever in 2017 I went out sat in the crowd and I watched and I remember Phil Heath came out then and my First time like you said how different it is to be at the show watching that was my first time actually watching it and when I saw Phil he come out he had one of the craziest physique still to this day I've ever seen in my life and I was just like in shock of that so I was grateful I got to watch
that part of it but sadly in the last few years I've been backstage and busy and haven't been able to watch any in person but apart from from uh training and bodybuilding Do you do you watch anything else I mean do you watch Maybe videos of people uh posing and stuff or oh like enjoying the bodybuilding you don't uh I enoy from training I enjoy what I do and I have friends who bodybuild do you watch yourself like like do you see the the videos no no I don't even watch my own YouTube videos I
have someone who edits them and uploads them and I don't even watch them why is that I don't know because I'm living my life why do I need To watch it I got the best view every day that's the best answer ever yeah people usually say I don't know I feel I don't know feel I don't feel comfortable watching me on video and stuff but that's the most honest answer I've ever had living my life I was there I don't have to watch it yeah seriously why would I rewatch that I got stuff to do
I'm busy yeah and you're you're about to get A lot busier with this kid man yep yeah H uh what's the ETA she's going to be born in April April so three more months okay let's hope it's the 26th because it's my birthday that's your birthday hopefully if I'm lucky she'll be just like you well hopefully not your hair though or mine to be fair yeah yeah well if it's a girl so no problem what's the name uh we're not sure completely but we're thinking maybe Blake maybe Bradley my wife wants the name be so
she can have something be to bum said so we'll we'll figure it out hopefully by then okay yeah it's it's lifechanging man every time I talk about kids I remember the the feeling I had when I took my baby in my arms MH it was something that nothing can describe it it's pretty crazy man I don't know some some men I've spoken to have said the second they hold their baby in the hospital that's When they're connected but a few other fathers I've spoken to said it took them a few months or even a year
to really feel like bonded with their child did you have that or did you feel it immediately no it was immediately immedi it it was I I can't describe it yeah I I because a mother she's a mother from day one she feels it inside her inside of her right so it's there it's alive it's moving yeah it's changing her body right but the Father father sees it but it it doesn't really feel most you can do is I don't know touch feel a kick yeah kick or something but when you hold it it's something
else mhm I can't describe it it's crazy you're going to feel it I think every every good father feels it yeah well there are some fathers that let's not talk about that right uh so uh are there For so uh do you feel uncomfortable showing up without the cap uh not really I mean I've been walking around without a hat most times but I wear a hat a lot and I think it just looks like I have a bad hairline right now so your doctor tell you to stop training or you stop because I it
was off season you had just how long has it have you how long has it been since you you since I got it it's been about 6 weeks oh so it's yeah I planned To do it right after the Olympia because I know I normally take time off from training anyways and then the doctor told me I couldn't go to the gym for 30 days days so I took off a few weeks before that I wasn't training and then I took those 30 days off and since then we've been so busy traveling for a work
in business I really haven't been back to the gym so coming back from this trip I mean train today how does it feel for for you because uh you're Mr Olympia Five times uh and you haven't been training for a while right right now so I remember uh when I came back to the gym some days ago and it hurt like hell yeah hurt like hell I could it was it felt like it was the first day ever you know and I was 1 month and a half off the gym you know uh how how
do you feel it do you feel it does it hurt like hell too yeah it's it's it's the same and I honestly feel like it hurts more than when I first started training because I Still have a lot of muscle I didn't lose it all so I can still train very strong and work that muscle but it's not used to it so it just all gets super sore and tight and I have to ease my way back into it and kind of take my time not training too hard so me me and Ramon today we
worked out but we didn't go crazy we're kind of like easing our way back into it and I'll still be really sore tomorrow I imagine and then when I go back home you know I'll keep ramping Up the intensity over time but I get the same kind of pain as you is there uh an exercise or an equipment you hate because there is one I hate uh I don't know the name uh it looks like a pendulum it's uh it's a pendulum squat you do some yeah you do something like this yeah I don't do
that called the pendulum I don't do that I don't do that ever I don't do that that one I don't do that do you squat yeah but not there not that one Not there fair enough so uh less last I think it was last Last Friday no last Thursday uh Julio Bal who's who trains us this guy uh he trains us uh there he tried to make me do it m but I didn't this I will not do this because the last time I did it you sound like a stubborn client man two weeks I
couldn't walk my house uh there are stairs to reach my bedroom I couldn't reach my bedroom so two weeks I mean it so never again never the more you do it the quicker you'll Recover from it stop it you just need to get through a few times stop it I'll never I'll call your coach next time and make you do it you'll thank him in a year no you can sleep on the couch for now I prefer regular squat yeah okay this one I don't know there's something wrong with this exercise really but do you
have any any exercise or equipment that you hate that I hate yeah not really no I've had you're ly come on everybody it depends On the time of year really when I'm like deep in prep and I'm really tired I don't like training legs at all because I'm too tired I'm just like don't want to put up with it but when I'm in my offseason I'm full of energy I love training legs so it really depends on the year but there's no specific exercise that I don't people hate training legs worldwide right yeah some people
love it all the time and I love it sometimes but not all the time I Think you got to be special kind of crazy to enjoy that when you're dieting and suffering and hungry and tired so but there's those people out there for sure oh it's much better to train the chest right because it gets pumped exactly the bicep right it looks man for sure I mean you don't you don't like to train anything you move it little bit you got it too there you did a pretty good Job they're getting there yeah maybe in
a few dozens of years a few dozens of years for sure n uh seriously all I want from the gym is to be able to hold my daughters as long as I can that's what I'm trying to do and not die too young yeah you know because I was there was uh my liver was very sick you know a lot of fat there MH and it was something that I really had to do exercise myself yeah so uh since I have a very good friend with A very nice Training Center I decided why not yeah
and along with it we we we got to to create content and it was very successful here in Brazil and it's a little surprising to me I don't know if it is to you too but uh it's very interesting how Brazilian people like bu building yeah it's it's uh I didn't notice it until I got into the the training center so uh seeing people enjoying it and people started they they didn't stop me uh on the street for a Picture anymore they were saying what are you eating I'm going to call karani yeah so they
were they were I don't know taking care of what I was eating that was uh a little surprising to me because I was used to a completely different approach so when people uh start uh paying attention to what you're doing uh on your exercise routine or some especially when it's very public it became uh it was a completely Different reaction or kind of conversation I would have with people on the street you know so it was very surprising when I found out that bodybuilding something else in Brazil so uh because you don't really see a
lot of competitions here but people do like it it's crazy how do you feel with I heard there were some people downstairs waiting for your arrival maybe hoping for a picture or something and it really Doesn't happen a lot you know people they only come here when it's something really special so special bu there's a bodybuilder here of course this is siom is no regular budybuilder but uh still budybuilder there are fans right so uh in Brazil how do you feel about it I mean I'm grateful for sure I'm very honored that people follow along
my journey and I've I've been blessed enough where I'm able to show not only being a bodybuilder but a little bit More of the personal side and my mental side and I think a lot of people relate to that which is why I also think Ramon is so famous also the mustache because the mustache as well yeah but Ramon anyone who meets him immediately you said he gave him a kiss you can see he just has a big heart and he's built himself up from nothing to someone very successful and he still remained with a
good heart and a good person and I think people just enjoy seeing that in their Are inspired by that so I think bodybuilding is just a really physical way to express progress and becoming a better version of yourself and obviously people are really driven by that and they enjoy watching it and supporting people who do it when did you notice you were becoming very famous on social media what was it uh were you working on it or were you just bodybuilding and it happened uh a little bit of both I wasn't like trying too hard
but I was Bodybuilding and I was sharing my journey I was sharing what I was doing what I was passionate about how was training being Mr Olympia helps right being helped a lot I had a decent following before that and then when I started winning it climbed a lot faster and then like I was saying when people started to notice that I was not only a success successful bodybuilder but also like a normal human being and I wasn't like some crazy Macho hardcore Bodybuilder I just a normal guy who liked bodybuilding I think they enjoyed
that and they related to that and they decided to follow along my journey so how did you feel when it started uh when you people started stopping you on the street for a photo I was surprised at first because I was like why why do these people care you know I'm no one special why do they want a picture with me and then I started to hear some stories from people about how I've Inspired them motiv they get motivated to change their life even not in bodybuilding just to become better versions ofs in any aspect
I've had kids who have come to me fathers who want to be better dads all ranges of people and then just seeing how I've inspired them to be better really kind of motivated me to keep doing what I'm doing and to keep becoming the best version of myself cuz I know I'm not only becoming better but I'm hopefully inspiring people to make Themselves better as well congratulations man thank you it's it's a nice Journey you've had so far it's been a beautiful Journey for sure yeah and you're about to become a dad that that really
touches me MH yeah especially well you know I got two kids I hope a lot of my lessons I've learned from being in this I can translate to my children as well you know make them yeah oh it's up to you it's like uh you have a human being to shape the best You can yeah right so do your best job a lot of responsibility yeah you still have no idea but you will I'll get there I'll call you in a few months when I haven't slept for weeks and dying tired and don't have time
to myself yeah yeah but you you get by easy yeah well uh there is something about the athletes they are always very focused they are always very uh they put themselves completely into what they're doing and it usually uh Kind of overflows to the rest of their life not not only the sport they're any sport they're doing uh so I think you're going to do fine especially because you're thinking about stopping at 30 so you're going to have plenty of time to be a dead mhm right yeah and it's pretty cool you you're in this
in this point you're really smart to have built uh uh some businesses around you so that you can stop if you would like to right yeah That's what you were thinking when you when you I don't know when you start the raw and the other things right for sure yeah I'm going to stop so I want to stop when I'm 30 so I need some income MH let's have some businesses I mean bodybuilding obviously doesn't last forever and once you're if people stop when they're in their 30s and they've never worked another day in their
life inside bodybuilding it's kind of hard to do anything else after that so I was Very realistic with myself I knew I was popular on social media but that could go away tomorrow that could be gone whenever people can stop caring about you whenever they want and I could stop competing anytime either so I realized I was making other companies a lot of money and I decided I want to do it for myself and obviously there's a lot of business stuff that I it's not my forte and I really didn't have time to do as
a bodybuilder so I partnered with some Great people one of them all right over here Mr Dominic and he's businesses wouldn't be what they are without him and we make a great team so it's it's been fun and I've really enjoyed the business side of it I'd like to do more when I'm done bodybuilding too and but do you actually pay attention to the businesses or your partners do it for you I do I do they definitely run a lot more of the backend Dom handles a lot of the day-to-day business but I mean we
Travel a lot for business we're going to do meetings and Pitch sales pitches and all this stuff and I go on almost all those I'm in the office at our warehouse BC Bon helps right helps a lot for sure that's the point I got to use it right you're a seab bomb so come to you why not take advantage exactly yeah you got you got to know how to capitalize and walk through a door when it opens what to do with it so that's right yeah but no I enjoy it and I'm I'm I'm at
of our Warehouse in the office almost every single day when I'm at home and we have a great team of people I enjoy working with so it's it's a lot of fun pretty cool yeah I hope I'll get there sometime can you please say cpon flow I don't know if I can it's a voucher for me for so I can sell more I don't even know what you're saying cpon it's a voucher cpon flow how do you say it coupon flow cpon flow is the name of The show flow coupon flow that's right yeah we're
going to use it everywhere thank you thank this is worth a million maybe I'll pay you someday give me like 20% gladly for there are some some messages people sent us let me let me find them so you told me you're going back to to you're going back home tomorrow yeah How how did you enjoy Brazil it was great I enjoyed it we've been busy since we've been here so didn't get to explore too much but the food's really good you guys have great steak here everywhere everywhere we've gone the steak has been great you've
got the Reby in Chocolate Factory that's amazing we don't have it here Chocolate Factory yeah in the states there are what America it's a no no the name is chocolate Cheesecake Factory oh The Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake factory they have the Reby it's incredible do you don't have here I don't understand why they don't come to Brazil we we kind of do it's a little different we call it Biffy Anu unu it's the kind of it's the name we call it but it's not exactly the same but it's pretty cool anyway uh Flavio F hiam and
IG I'm Flavio Gish 18 years old Brazil my dream is to be a classic physique what was the experience of your first competition and you and do you have any Tips for me I love you and thanks for being my inspiration thank you do I have tips for him and what was my first show like is the question my first show was very nerve-wracking you know as you could say imagine your my parents watching me do a show that's I felt just weird I put on a small little posing Trunks and I realized I had
to go walk in front of a 100 people the small show and just stand out there and pose which back then I Didn't practice my posing because I was nervous about it I just didn't so my first show I was very nervous I was on stage I was like shaking up there and I barely even remember being on stage the first time because I was so nervous I just kind of like blacked out yeah it's it's scary up there and I I'm someone who doesn't like public talking I don't like I used to be very
introvert and very quiet so this has really brought me into my shell but at that point I was Like I was scared so tips on that stuff just do it get out there get over the a fear I think overcoming fears like that the only way you do it is by immersing yourself in it and the more you do that the more confident you become it takes that some people can do it naturally but just because you're scared shouldn't stop you so I implore people just to do what scares them and get after it if
they want to and they'll get better at it and I mean tips into bodybuilding There's too many that you can give to start you know first find a good coach and take time just download your app right download my app exactly see I don't even self-promote myself I they could take my supplements download my app but they just go find a coach take their time work really hard and understand that has to be a priority if you want to be a good bodybuilder it has to be more important than drinking than eating bad food then
going out partying You got to be want to be a bodybuilder because it takes everything there aren't there there aren't uh any there isn't anything else that scares you when when when prepping are there do you still get scared or is there anything else uh there's still anything that you hate doing during prep like nothing that scares me I hate getting I hate shaving my body and I hate getting a spray tan because it's just long and takes and it just sucks But there's nothing really I hate about it too much now but it's crazy
how it it actually looks good you know Under The Lights it does the it does a lot of difference it's crazy because uh well I'm used to seeing H nearly every day yeah uh but when he was on stage all end it's different mhm it's crazy yeah so I understand why it's important because it just add it does add uh PV PV XX sent here um salv FL Salam salv Nat well this is the Portuguese part uh I'm Known here in the the region as Paulo bomba like bomb Paul he's bom Paul for some reason
bone pole bomb bomb yeah well when people use steroids here in Brazil we say they they are you say uh he's on steroids we sayand bomba steroids bomba so he's known for that probably yeah yeah good thing to know probably steroid Paul probably great uh I have a question for seom which one is the best well I don't know these names in English but I'll try Trenbolone inate or trone acetate trick question neither of them did they say it right I think so yeah yeah well I hope so well the the person who's translating this
video must be what the [ __ ] what the [ __ ] are talking about good luck I'm sorry uh okay Sian your physique is incredible I'm a nutritionist and I would like to know if there's any food that is sacred In your diet and you you don't give up in any there's no way you're going to give it up uh that essential food that gives you the The energy needed and helps in the construction of your muscles so is there any special food you have there's no secret food I mean only is anything on
your water the only food that I never cut out at any point in the earth chicken chicken chicken that's it yeah once uh a friend of mine Julio Bist he tried to Make me eat he actually made me eat kind of a soup it was rice just rice no no salt no nothing and fish I hate fish and he put rice and fish and some water in [Music] the BL the blender and the blender and a kind of soup came out and it was yeah I a lot of body builders do that I don't know
why disgusting some people who if they can't eat a lot cuz you have to eat so much they blend it and drink it but I Would never do it with fish I've heard some people do it with chicken and bone broth so it tastes like chicken noodle soup and then they drink that but I wouldn't want to drink fish doesn't sound very good it doesn't taste good no I can imagine especially because I hate fish I I don't eat fish oh this is an interesting one aano sent here Siam is it true that you only
train listening to Taylor Swift of course who else would I listen To she's the best are you a swifter only only the old Taylor Swift though the OG okay she country star I don't know a lot about Taylor Swift so I only knew her back then that's why I say that well fugazi sent here Siam I want to meet shape I want to uh get the shape this year could you please tell me if you want it's half English half Portuguese so I can't understand you know well if Anyone can understand it should be you
well but well most of them are in Portuguese and I kind of translate them to you but this one it's it's not possible let me try to understand it ah no it's a raon meme so never mind if you want yes Manu if you want yes thanks whatever baham sent this one siom everyone imagines that your life revolves around bodybuilding but you also have some Common habits what do you usually do that people don't expect from seom also tell us about your peculiar habits or quirks peculiar habits or quirks yeah well you're a Swip I'm
a swi I guess that too um I live a pretty boring life honestly we're very busy with business travel and bodybuilding and then I like to come home and just hang out with my wife and watch TV and my dog and relax but there's not really a lot I do I like to Go snowboarding one of my favorite pastimes we're going in two weeks or tomorrow in less than that up to Colorado to go snowboarding for a few weeks nice so that's one of my favorite things I go I've never seen snow no you've never
seen snow no it's cold I suppose so I'm from Canada so I've seen a lot of it and now that I live in Florida I don't have to live in it but I can travel to it just to go snowboarding so I enjoy it a lot more that's one of My favorite paths what about these tattoos do they uh do they disappear when tended the tattoos yeah no they're hard to see but because they get so much darker but that's why I only have tattoos on my lower arm because sometimes if you have tattoos on
your upper arm or your chest or your stomach it hides your muscle so while I'm competing I only get a tattoo on my lower arm I see uh can you sing some Taylor Swift sadly I can't even remember any lyrics I'm exposing myself I'm a fake Swifty oh mat sent here hi Chris big fan me and my friend uh don't want to miss the opportunity to take a picture with you while while you're in Brazil do you intend to be somewhere to take photos with fans I know the answer to this one but sadly not
but I will be back and we'll do that in the future this was a business trip but I'll come back for an event in the future I hope so uh hi seom I'm a I'm a big fan of your business and your person in general I have stories in my Instagram dedicated for you dedicated to you I want to know how you trained CES for Olympia and I want some tips about CEs thanks Chris also I have another question here there is a kind of an exercise we call a I think it's uh shoulder cuff
I'm not sure not sure but it's something like this there is uh you you hold it here And you do something like this okay yeah rotator cuffs rotator cuffs yeah yes so uh mongu is a much nicer name than rotator cuffs right mongu right pretty cool right very cool do do you do you I guess [Laughter] I feel like there an inide joke I'm missing here don't worry it's a it's don't worry yeah don't worry I'm going to I'm going to plead the fif on that one leave that one to the translators Okay uh what
about the covs uh I want to know how you trained your how you trained CS for Olympia I mean I don't train my Cal much different than anything else I think people are lazy with their calves CU they do them at the end of leg day just to throw them in but I think if you train TR your calves like any other body part very hard they're going to grow so I train them like any other body part same thing it's because some people look at You and they are holy [ __ ] that's what
I felt when I saw you up close I was like holy [ __ ] he's large sometimes I go up and down throughout the year and you didn't even show your wings right it's only one day a year they get to see that I go from medium to large throughout the year uh Gabrielle sent this one here my name is Gabrielle I have a son a 9-year-old son uh who he's already into training and he's a fan of the sport He's already met hamon and many other athletes what does Sian think of uh going to
the gym kids going to the gym I'm not a doctor so no medical advice but I think it's better to stay away from really heavy weight too much when you're really young I think it's better to play sports play outside and do that stuff when I was young I used to do push-ups pull-ups and sit-ups body weight stuff but I didn't start lifting weights until I was 13 which was still a Young age but I think when your growth plates are still open and you're growing very fast it's hard on your joints to be lifting
a lot of weight so you know if they want to be in the gym they can learn form train light but not a doctor but good advice doctor but that's my advice good advice and the last one uh su su family uh it's because when I start the show I say salv salv Familia and su su family Siam has anyone ever told you that you look a lot like Superman I've heard that before I haven't gotten a recently though your wife told you that H sadly not no only boys tell me that only men compliment
me that's what bodybuilding is you think you're putting on muscle for girls to like you but then you only get compliments from boys it's very true the sad truth well okay I'll pretend I'll believe it all right okay thank you for coming here Sion thank you for tonight it was Incredible for me so uh I know you're going back to to Canada tomorrow but uh whoever is watching us right now where can they find you on the internet I mean they can just search my name Chris bum said see bum I'm sure they'll find it
