hi everyone welcome back to wesos Tech news and reviews today we'll be doing a heart rate accuracy test with the all new redmi watch 4 so I've taken it on two quick runs on the treadmill one lasted for about 15 minutes the other lasted for 10 minutes and I've put it up against the polar h10 ECG chest trap so without further Ado let's get into this heart rate accuracy test review of this all new redmi watch 4 watch [Music] and to get you pumped for this review and test let me tell you in about a
minute of what this watch actually brings to us for a very budget price for just under $100 you are getting 1.97 in of an AMOLED display this is huge the quality here is amazing we get 60 HZ refresh rate we get Ultra brightness aod we get 150 sport mode on top of it and it's not just a gimmick because there is inbu GPS here also we do get a microphone and a speaker meaning that we can broadcast our metrics from the activities that we've been doing and the goals that we've been hitting while we're exercising
and that also means that we can have Bluetooth calls and that is absolutely amazing so it's not an eim that goes in here or a physical Sim it's just that when you are connected to to your smartphone you can actually take Bluetooth calls right off your wrist so a lot of amazing value for a very budget price so now that we've talked and we know what we're facing here what kind of animal this redmi watch 4 is let's actually look at the results so first I'll be showing you what we got as on The Benchmark
that is on the Polar h10 ECG chest strap and then we'll be looking at the results from the app that basically show us the results recorded by the tracker itself so first of all let's look at the 10-minute treadmill run and here we can see that the average heart rate was 119 beats per minute while the max heart rate was recorded at 146 beats per minute let's take a look at what the watch has actually recorded and the watch gave us 117 and 141 beats per minute and it looks like an underestimation of the rate
at both the average and the max level now the max is off by about 3 and 1 12% while the average is out by about 1 and 1/2 2% so not bad but let's take a look at the second test which was over 15 minutes right so over the longer test we can see here an average of 112 beats per minute and a Max of 1403 beats per minute there are four distinct Peaks on this chart so as we can see we're growing with the intensity and then we finish off at a peak as well
so that is going to be the fourth Peak now let's look at the chart from the Mi fitness app the one that was recorded by the optical heart rate sens on the back of the redmi watch 4 let's take a quick look well we can definitely see the Four Peaks here so we can see the heart rate growing in three big steps and we're also finishing off on a peak but here we actually get an average of 114 beats per per minute and a Max of 141 so slightly under on the max 2 beats per
minute about 1 and 1 12% and slightly over on the average also around the 1 and a half% mark so what can we say two distinct tests over two days and yet the results are so close so this means that the optical heart rate sensor on the back of the redmi watch 4 is very accurate indeed it is almost on par with the polar h10 ECG chest ST which actually goes on your chest and sits right on top of your heart to most accurately calculate your heart rate now of course this is a very medium
intensity exercise I haven't tried this in a hit session where the heart rate will be going all the way up coming all the way down so there will be a lot of variability and that is yet to come but for now we can say that at an average pace in normal intensity activities the redmi watch 4 is one of the most accurate trackers we've seen over 2023 and 2024 thanks for watching hopefully you did enjoy this video if you have please drop me a like and hit the red subscribe button below the video thanks for
watching and I'll see you in the next one
